Stan's Blue Note Dallas Reviews
Our waitress was very attentive and making sure we had everything. Perfect service
The mozzarella sticks were rich and hearty - they definitely used good mozzarella 😋 would eat again!
It’s hard to focus on the game when we had these goodies in front of us 😍 These cheese sticks have to be one of my favorites, they’re literally stuffed ALL the way with cheese! 🤤
We enjoyed our first experience at Christies Sports Bar this weekend. We went to drink beer and watch football and stayed for the delicious food! Christies offers a great sports bar experience in a convenient location just up the street from lowest Greenville.
The food came out quick and it was good. There was no wait to be seated on a Saturday night. The sound of the TV got really loud later into the evening (if you’re there for sports, good for you) also they had one server but she did good by checking on us regularly.
Everything was delicious, as expected. BUT be aware, if you’re coming here on a major game day (like New Year’s Eve day), there is only a game day menu to order from! Also, don’t bother to look for street parking (on Saturday, anyway). There is a large parking lot across the street that has FREE valet parking (tip only)!!
Ordered lemon pepper and buffalo style wings. Both were delicious. Very cool having three bars on three different stories overlooking Greenville avenue. Spacious building with very helpful staff.
They have all the games on. Excellent customer service from the bartenders.
We have been to this spot multiple times. Had to share with everyone - Such a great atmosphere and wonderful, attentive service ❤️ We tipically only order appetizers but they’ve never failed us. Feel taken care of each and every time even though the place is to capacity. We’ll be coming back 🤓
Visiting from out of state. This is the perfect sports bar! Just what we were looking for. Drinks were great, super clean bar area. Did not try food but looked good! Would recommend
We ordered drinks, shots and spun the shot wheel and it was a blast. Came out of state randomly ended up here and do not regret it. The mozzarella sticks are fire. If you like mozzarella sticks but actual made mozzarella sticks things the spot!! Oh service was great. First spot since I’ve been here in Dallas.
The food was great, the service was great, everything was reasonably priced. Valet was free which is convenient and they take credit cards for tips in case you don't have cash.
The place has an amazing atmosphere for sports immersion on a college game day Nichole and Lexi are fantastic bartenders who really make you feel cared about.
Yarisa and Sami are amazing!!! They provide 5 star service every time we come and it’s why we watch every cowboy game we can at Christie’s!!!!
If you like bar food, get the burger!
I give a 5 star review mostly because it's my hangout for years. but i gotta say. they go through the trouble of serving hand cut fries and they are delicious. but! why serve generic ketchup? pa-leeez! serve heinz, make your own or no thing. don't disrespect your own food! btw extra credit for serving Jimmy's Italian sausage!
Good service. Haven’t tried the food yet but it looks and sounds solid. My friends drag me out here a lot. They often draw a rather interesting crowd, so I honestly don’t know how often I’d come here by myself without being dragged out but, I’m sure it’s a matter of time til I come again and then I plan to try the food. Cool area, cool environment, smoke friendly section in the back. Could be cleaner. No real complaints besides that. Dive bar vibes, if you’re into that you’re probably going to enjoy this place.
This place is awesome 👏🏽!! It gets BUSY in here and the bartenders keep it cool and fun while getting your drinks to you at a reasonable time. We will come back here again and again! Thank you 😎
5 stars off the bat, haven’t went yet but I’m a Bengals fan and cannot wait to go on a game day and eat some grippos, skyline 3 ways and drinks some brewskies. I’ll update this once I’ve been!
They treated me so well for my 40th birthday. Laid back vibes, good food, strong drinks! I’m definitely a regular now.
This past Saturday (4/26/25) was my 1st Cousin's Celebration of Life/Birthday Bash. His name was David Atwood and he was quite the boss fixture in the 70s, 80s & 90s in the bar business as he bartended and/or managed all (as he said) the hot clubs in Dallas. Mike McRae (owner) and Bob Meyers (general manager) made sure we had the best of everything for our event held in their private room. Every aspect of our event was flawless from the event space, delicious buffet setup including room for our cake, space for our sign in book with self serve water upon arrival, plenty of tables & chairs as well as bar space for our 75+ guests. They had a projector & screen for us to play our video. Mike and Bob made sure we have the best staff working our event too as most of the attendees including myself were service industry folks. I'd like to give thanks and credit to the excellent job that Doria (foodservice), Glenetta (waitress) and bartenders Travis, Riley and Jared provided for us. I highly recommend Stan's Blue Note for your event too! Many thanks again from me and my entire family for giving Cousin Dave such a great place for his send off.
What a fun place for drinks and socializing. I went for a Chili Cookoff fundraiser for a Suicide Prevention non-profit charity. Stan's became the spot to taste nearly 30 competitor chili recipes while enjoying Stan's well provisioned beer and spirit selection. They had my brand to. That earns a thumbs up!!! I had an awesome time and Ill certainly return again. This business supports critical charity. That counts to me.
This is one of the coolest places in Dallas, no, Texas! It's the epitome of a dive bar, but the food is awesome, and there is an incredible selection of beers on tap. TVs are everywhere, and they're very accommodating on finding what you want to watch. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to spot. I'll be back next time I'm in the area!
Really cool place. Bartenders were awesome. Did wasn't bad. Loud energizing environment close to SMU. cluttered sports memorabilia on the wall. Always something new to look at. TVs all over the place. There looked like a stage in the far side of the joint. By the name, I'm guessing there might be some music from the to time. Pretty cool place.
Stan’s Blue Note is the rare entertainment dive bar that gets a flat out five star rating. Staff was truly wonderful, welcoming, kind, and hilarious. The prices were reasonable. The AC was kicking and it was very comfortable. They had plenty of bar games, shuffleboard, and a lot of space to spread out. Both front and back patios were comfortable.
Sports bar with tons of TVs so no matter where you are in the bar you can watch the game(s)!!! I did find it weird though that considering both the ALCS and NLCS were on that neither game was being played over the speakers, just loud music blaring in my ears! They did have the AC turned up so it was a nice temperature considering it was packed that night. We were confused when we walked in, since it was our first time, because no one met us at the door for seating. The bartender also didn’t ask if we wanted any food/menu so we weren’t sure if they were still serving food. Drinks were good, strong! There is free parking just around the corner so it was nice not to have to fight for parking, valet (tips welcome). There are also other bars and restaurants in the area so plenty of other places to walk to if you wanted!
This place is great! Food is good quality, prices are average. I've been here a few times now and i'm definitely coming back. If you live near Greenville, you know how hard it is to find Parking. This location has a shared parking lot with 2 other bars. Parking is free until 6, I think, then valet is offered. Staff is super friendly and great service. They are always available and communicate well. (never seen them on their phones not paying attention, absolutely love that!) On Wednesdays they have Live Trivia @ 7pm. You can win gift cards if you're smart enough! Overall, I would definitely recommend Christies. The environment is spacious, clean and comfortable, staff is on point, food is delicious and filling, prices are average, and theres lots of entertainment for you and your friends. I'll see ya there!
Monica was great attentive and a vibe a bday vibe to be exact lol HBD! Atmosphere was great for the Cowboys game #DC4L
It's a good vibe during Stars games with lots of real fans and the sound is on, but half of the TVs look like they had a beer bottle thrown at them. I know times are tough, but cmon a new TV is $200 wouldn't be expensive to replace the 5 over the middle bar. Drinks are cheap. Service was good. They automatically add 20% tip so watch out for that. I would have made it a 3.5 because of that.
I've been to Stan’s twice. The first time mid-week just as they opened. Actually, I wandered in a few minutes before the official opening time and the bartender, Ericka, generously allowed me to hang out. She was gracious, friendly and efficient. Besides Ericka I was mostly impressed by the size of the bar, the vast selection of beers on tap, and the mellow vibe. The second time I went was on a Sunday early afternoon. I was a bit concerned about finding a seat at the bar because of football but I was surprised to find only about a dozen folks inside. I ordered the bean and cheese nachos - only 5$! - and they were very good. As was my Deep Ellum IPA mmm. The male bartender spent quite a bit of time talking to his girlfriend, who occupied a seat by herself at the end of the bar. This could be a great bar but on my two visits it isn't quite there yet.
Nice bar in a cute neighborhood. The southwest eggroll are the best and the drinks are on point.
A friend and I were visiting from out of town. We read the gratuity policy and this would apply to our group. Service was fine, nothing exceptional. We waited a little after closing out to finish the section of the game we were in before saying our goodbyes. As I said my goodbyes, a server (that did not serve me) aggressively yelled out that I did not tip her and what was wrong with their service. I explained nothing and that there was the mandatory gratuity that I felt was enough for the server that had served me. She continued to aggressively state that they did not apply that gratuity to our party so I was still not going to leave a tip. I am appalled by the audacity of treating a customer like this. I have worked in customer service and have never treated people this way. I am a frequent tipper and this was a misunderstanding that did not need to be handled with such aggression. For the record, I ended up leaving a cash tip but this was handled very poorly. Not a great first experience.
This place smells like a portapotty. We came on a Sunday night and the whole we were here it smelled like a bathroom with dirty cleaning products. And the nachos also were good, they gave struggle meal
Went to an F1 event here, got tickets in advance, and when we got there had to squeeze in at other people’s table, where ONE waitress was serving the whole section (probably over 100 people). We never even got offered any kind of service, it was impossible to order food or drinks at the bar. The entire bar should have been opened up to F1 fans seeing as how many people showed for that section. The ambiance and crowd was awesome and energetic, but for sure would never come back here for an F1 race. Super disappointed in this event. This establishment was zero percent prepared for any kind of crowd or to host any kind of event like this.
My son was physically assaulted by one of the security guards at Stan's last night. At closing he and his group were all standing on the curb waiting on their Uber - they were literally already outside on the sidewalk and a security guard came up and REPEATEDLY pushed my son with force telling him to "get out". He and his group were already outside, but he kept forcefully pushing him and cursing at him. My son does not drink. He said nothing to the guy; he was in total shock. He actually thought he was some random drunk guy when it started because it was so crazy. There were people everywhere, but he just targeted my son when he was just standing there. The guy just kept pushing him for no reason. Not sure - but I don't think that's okay? The Dallas Police Department may be getting a call from us regarding this security guard employed by Stan's.
