The Goat Dallas Reviews
Got to see Mitchell Ferguson play on a random night this week. The bar was awesome and the staff was friendly. We ended up getting pretty plastered and a bit stoned and my girlfriend left her purse. The next morning we called and the manager had saved it for us. The Goat is an awesome place to go for a fun night in Dallas.
Love the Goat ! No place like it BEST LIL DIVE BAR in DALLAS TX!
Love the atmosphere. Kat and Maddy are great. Opens early at 7am with no judgement. $1 domestic beer for every Dallas Cowboys touchdown!!!
Great spot with an amazing atmosphere! I come here every Sunday for karaoke, it’s always a good time. Drinks are affordable, and it’s the perfect place to relax, chat, and share conversations with friendly strangers.
Always love seeing the live music. Holland k smith band especially. Always great musicians. Good mix of crowds, love the diversity. Bartenders do a great job as well
While visting for work I searched out “dive bars near me” and this place popped up in close proximity to where I was staying, drinks were quick to flow and definitely solid. Atmosphere was just what I needed to decompress and feel like a normal human again.thank you for being there when I needed you most, staff was hospitable and attentive but not overbearing, I think they picked up on how I had a rough day and instead of babying- me they knew that space and a stiff drink would have me right as rain in no time. They were right.
The Thursday blues jam has been running steady for over 25 years. I've been jamming here every time I come through town for the last 12 years. It's a great jam for both pros and novices alike. The drinks are fairly priced and I've always felt welcome. ~ Birdie
If you like Texas Blues and want an environment as close as possible to the old juke joints, this place is for you. Reasonably priced drinks, comfortable chairs and live music on most weekend nights. In 1912 Hart Wand put out the first Blues song- Dallas Blues and here you have right smack in the center of Dallas an original Blues Bar. Your standard drinks are here, PBR to Coors but if your hankering for a drink with a diminutive umbrella, maybe not. Notarized in many Dallas magazines and other publications and kept alive by word of mouth The GOAT may be the greatest of all time but it’s former owner Bill put it this way - “The GOAT is just the best dive in Dallas”.
Caught one of their blues jams. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is that I’m comparing it to the incredible blues jams of the ‘80s and ‘90s in places like Schooners, Hole in the Wall, Lakewood Bar & Grill and The Bone. But still, this is one of the best clubs for blues aficionados in DFW.
They didn't have mojito. And also they don't have kitchen service, but they allow you to bring your own food.
The female bartender is rude and, also demand tips after she over charges for drinks. She also treat people of color very rude . She has counted each time Ive visit the club in the last six months and accused me of not tipping her. I never order from her when I'm there and don't drink alcohol just cokes. Please correct this before a lawsuit is filed
We went to the Goat on a Thursdsy night. The place was hopping. There was a band playing and the crowd was chill. There is a large area to dance, and the music was authentic and real. The guys in the band were friendly and polite. The establishment was clean and tidy. The workers behind the bar were on spot and attentive. The lady made us special shots as well. (Cinnamon toast crunch). I will definitely go back to The Goat for a fun place to hang out.
Just stopped in for drinks and karaoke. Mandolin the bartender was excellent. She made the drinks perfect. Karaoke didn't start on time I think maybe technical difficulties. I will try again another time.
This place has some cool vibes and nice people but the brunch and cocktails were a let down. The pictures look so good but the food was lacking seasoning and cocktails were sickly sweet. I got the 'cool as a cucumber' and felt nauseous from how sweet it was. The server gave us some 1/2 coupons for next time because I didn't finish my meal or drink, which was nice but I don't think I'll visit again. Also the dress code isn't that serious, lots of casual outfits here.
Although the environment was good, the woman bartender is rude and has weird manners to treat the costumers, yelling at them and not a accommodating. It’s not the first time she had been rude with us and it’s like if you don’t like to deal with ppl just don’t get a job is the service industry. She was entitled to tell me she had been working there for 10 years and she doesn’t want me to come back when I did nothing to her just asked her twice to pass my debit card. Somebody have to do something about it….
For my first time coming to this establishment. And the bartender ensured that I will not return. Stood at the bar as the bartender walks past us and doesn’t say I’ll be right there doing shift change or anything. When finally got her attention we asked for a menu and with an attitude she replied we don’t have one and walked away. Then get the attention of the other bartender and said that they were going through shift change before he could service us. I must say that if you are a person of color DO NOT COME HERE if you support a person of color DO NOT COME HERE. I love all colors and to be treated this way is the worse. If it wasn’t in support of a surprise proposal I WOULDN’T SPEND ONE CENT IN THIS PLACE AND SUPPORT THIS FOOLISHNESS IN 2024 almost 2025. I made this while sitting cause it is horrible Photo is of the original racist person we encounter
