Winsome Prime Dallas Reviews
Our first time at Winsome Prime and what a stellar experience! The food and service was superb. The hubby and I will definitely be back. They play old school R&B and it’s definitely a vibe! Pro tip: Ask for Daryann! She waited on us for dinner and was very attentive. We were in a rush and she made sure to be prompt at every step!
The food was spectacular. We started with the chargrilled oysters. They were delightful. For mains, center cut filet, Hawaiian steak, jerk lamb chops. All the dishes were flavorful and for sides we had mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The drinks were good as well: lychee martini, winsome margarita, red wine, and bey hive. We were taken care of by Yassmine and the manager Kevin stopped by. This is a wonderful addition to trinity groves and hppefully people will patron this black owned business.
Tonight, I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant. It was a holiday, and I was thoroughly impressed with how well the staff managed the entire evening. Upon entering, I noticed the General Manager at the hostess stand, which was a thoughtful gesture. I also saw him behind the bar, checking on guests, which added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. Let’s start with CiCi, the hostess. While I had a reservation, she took the time to show me both sides of the restaurant and explain the differences. Her attention to detail set the tone for a great experience. Shelby, who was referred to as “like the Mustang,” was also extremely helpful. And to end my night, I was served by Leah, who was so pleasant and attentive. The food was fantastic and served immediately after being prepared, ensuring that it was fresh and hot. And let’s not forget the exceptional service! Everyone here truly goes above and beyond to make their guests feel valued. I walked away from this restaurant extremely impressed. Good food is hard to find, but great service is even rarer. I highly recommend this place and urge them to maintain their exceptional service. Five stars!
Went to a friends bday dinner at Winston Prime Steakhouse! Our server Daniel D. was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and gave great menu tips. Loved the 3-course Restaurant Week deal: lemon pepper wings, flavorful Chicken Royal, and butter cake for dessert. Perfect espresso martinis, great music, and a visit from Manager Kevin made the night extra special. Highly recommend and ask for Daniel!
I’m not even exaggerating when I say this might be my new favorite spot in the city. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was on point—warm, stylish, and welcoming. The staff was incredibly attentive without being overbearing, and the food? Next level. Every bite was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. You can tell the chef takes pride in every dish. Whether you’re going on a date, catching up with friends, or just treating yourself—this place delivers. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. You’ll thank me later.
PERFECTION! From the Hostess to the Bar staff to the Manager….. I mean EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! Upscale at its finest! Came with a friend for a late dinner. We were not too hungry so we stuck with appetizers and a drink! The grilled oysters were AMAZING (you gotta try them). I forgot the name of the drink but it was delicious. The atmosphere is a VIBE! I mean I don’t know how to describe it lol. It was just PERFECT! I have absolutely no complaints…. I will definitely be coming back.
Phenomenal service. Our wonderful server Grace exceeded our expectations. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and made the BEST passion fruit Lemon Drop I have ever had. I was visiting from out of town but I definitely plan on coming back next time I’m in town!
I came here for a birthday dinner and everything was 10/10. From the moment I was greeted at the entrance. Extremely professional, and attentive even knew it was my birthday from the reservation I made. All the staff were very nice and ppresentable. My server was Keavin and he was very professional and knowledgeable with the menu as well. He was great, some of the best service I have had in awhile. Everything he recommended was 10/10. I tried the Jerk lamb chops, mac and cheese, truffle fries and brussels sprouts. Everything was perfect, cooked well and tasted great. Very nice ambiance as well inside. The drinks are all handcrafted and tasted great, not cheap tasting. I had the Winsome Margarita. Glad I chose to have dinner here I will be back in the future. Highly recommend trying this place.
First thing...shoutout to Cooper!! The best waiter ever. Cooper was kind, attentive and engaging throughout service! There is a huge parking lot with ample spaces. The music and ambiance created a great atmosphere. The music isn't loud so you can easily hold conversation with table guests. We all LOVED the food and will be back asap
From the moment I walked in, Winsome Prime delivered luxury, vibes, and an unforgettable dining experience. Located in Trinity Groves, this new upscale steakhouse is the perfect mix of moody ambiance and southern charm. The decor is stunning dark, romantic, and intimate. ideal for a date night or a stylish night out with friends. We were welcomed with complimentary champagne, and every single thing we ordered was chef’s kiss. I had the Sidecar Royale while my friend sipped the Winsome Smoked Old Fashioned both delicious and beautifully presented. The charbroiled oysters were some of the best I’ve ever had. For dinner, I had the spinach-stuffed salmon topped with jumbo lump crab meat, and my friend ordered the Hawaiian ribeye. Everything was cooked perfectly. Don’t sleep on the sides the three-cheese mac and cheese and bacon jam Brussels sprouts are must-trys. We wrapped the night up with French toast bread pudding and Mom’s carrot cake, and I was in dessert heaven. Service was attentive, the vibe was top-tier, and the food was unforgettable. Winsome Prime is definitely that new Dallas gem. I’ll absolutely be back!
10/10 - From the well-appointed interiors and ambience to Keavin’s exceptional service and every single dish that was served, Winsome Prime is the blueprint. The GM Tony is an amazing host. I highly recommend this outstanding addition to the Dallas restaurant and social scene. Well done!
I loved this place! I went here for a birthday dinner with 9 of my friends and it was everything. The atmosphere was giving very much grown and sexy. The music was at an appropriate level that could jam to it but still hearing your friends. Some other restaurants need to take note. I had the snapper with collard green risotto(interesting combo but delish) and my friend had salmon. Both were delicious. I will say when I saw a post from an influencer, they served champagne when you walk in and the fish portions were larger but that may have just been for their grand opening. I would definitely go back and recommend as a real nice place to go. Make sure you know that for large parties you can only use 2 cc max for the entire group. They won't take individual payments and of course add gratuity. It was still a cool spot.
I celebrated my birthday at Winsome Prime with my fiancé and it was everything! From start to finish, the experience was unforgettable. Special shoutout to Grace, the incredibly talented mixologist, for crafting “The Star is Born”, the perfect birthday drink. It was stunning, smooth, and full of flavor just like the name promises. Our server Mary was also amazing! She made the night so seamless and joyful. Her service was warm, attentive, and top-tier. The salmon and lobster truffle roll was rich and luxurious, the salmon entrée was perfectly cooked, the burger was juicy and flavorful, and the mac and cheese? Creamy, cheesy heaven. Thank you Winsome Prime, Grace, and Mary for making my birthday so special. I’ll definitely be back!
I’ve dined at Winsome Prime about five times now and the experience is consistently exceptional. The service, ambiance, and overall vibe NEVER MISS! Every visit feels special. The restaurant is beautifully designed, with a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. The staff is warm, professional and attentive, which truly enhances the experience. The cocktails are always perfectly crafted, and the food is just as impressive, flavorful, well presented, and consistently deelish! Honestly, I don’t have a single negative thing to say. If I had one wish, it would be for Winsome Prime to open a North Dallas location. I live in Plano, I have no doubt it would be an absolute success! Live band on Friday nights! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 Highly recommend!
I recently visited Winsome Prime with three friends to catch up, and it was a delightful experience! We wanted to try a new restaurant, and Winsome did not disappoint. Located in the Trinity Groves area, right across from Soiree Coffee, the restaurant is aesthetically beautiful and features professional, courteous staff. Valet parking is available for $10, but there are also plenty of self-parking options in the area for those who prefer not to valet. Upon arrival, the doorman and hostess greeted us with smiles and escorted us to our table. Our server, Yassmin, was excellent; she recommended some of her favorite dishes from the menu and took great care of us throughout the evening. For appetizers, we ordered crab beignets (which were absolutely delicious), oysters, and artichoke dip. For our main courses, we had jerk lamb chops and stuffed salmon, accompanied by macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and collard greens. I did request hot sauce for the greens to enhance the flavor. The general manager, Kevin, stopped by to ensure we were having a great experience and even chatted with us at the bar after our reservation was completed. The bar staff also treated us to conversation to some delightful cocktails. I will definitely recommend Winsome Prime and hope it continues to flourish while maintaining its elegance!
I had an incredible experience at Windsor Prime, and a huge part of that was thanks to Laila, who was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She was friendly, professional, and super knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations and had such a fun, genuine energy that really elevated the whole dining experience. The 20% gratuity was already included, but I still left 27% because her service truly went above and beyond. I’ll definitely be asking for her every time I come back! Now, let’s talk food because everything we ordered was worth mentioning. We started with the spinach dip, and I decided to add crab. Honestly, the spinach dip by itself is a 10/10. It’s creamy, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and surprisingly one of the best spinach dips I’ve ever had. I didn’t even need the crab it’s great as-is and definitely something I’d order again. My mom ordered the stuffed chicken with rice, and it was another hit tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. It’s one of those comfort-style dishes that makes you want to take your time and enjoy every bite. For my entrée, I had the filet with Brussels sprouts and lobster mac & cheese. I try lobster mac anytime I see it on a menu, and theirs was solid 7/10. It’s rich, cheesy, and had a decent amount of lobster, but what really stood out was the steak. The filet was absolutely perfect 10/10. I’m very particular about steak, and theirs blew me away. It was juicy, cooked exactly to temperature, and seasoned so well that it honestly didn’t even need sauce. It’s definitely the reason I’ll be coming back. The Brussels sprouts weren’t my favorite, but they weren’t bad either I’d rate them about 6/10. Next time, I’d probably try a different side, maybe something lighter or more unique. I’ve also heard their Hawaiian ribeye is amazing, so that’s on my list for my next visit. The drinks looked fantastic I didn’t try any this time, but they were beautifully made and served with attention to detail. The restaurant itself is stunning it’s modern, stylish, and has such a cozy yet upscale vibe. The lighting is flattering, the music is at the perfect volume (not too loud but still gives energy to the space), and the bar area is so inviting. Everything from the décor to the atmosphere feels well thought-out and elevated. Overall, Windsor Prime completely exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service especially from Laila was outstanding. If you go, definitely ask for her. She made the night memorable and truly represents what great service should be.
Wonderful! Beautiful ambiance, delicious food, and excellent service! The owners ensured that our dining experience was nothing short of excellent. Our waiter, Kostia, was so fun and attentive. Our comfort was his priority. The food was amazing. Everything was prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. The charbroiled oysters were sooo good! Some of the best I've ever had and that's saying a lot because I'm from New Orleans. Another favorite was the wagyu steak... tender and flavorful. The cocktails were also really good! Overall, we had a wonderful evening and highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an upscale and classy outing.
Where do I start? Upon entry, the establishment was giving exclusivity. The hostesses were attentive and organized. The lighting was perfect providing a “crazy, sexy, cool” vibe (iykyk). The restaurant aesthetics were top tier. ALL staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was delicious, the drinks were on point, and the saxophonist was the cherry on top of our experience!
Winsome Prime has great food and welcoming staff. I had lasagna with truffle meat sauce. (Chef's Kiss). The sauce was very flavorful with garlic and truffle seasoned meat. It was served piping hot. One of my dinner companions ordered the salmon dish and insisted on giving all of us a taste of it because she was so impressed. Our server was on the spot and had made sure everything ordered was to our liking. I ordered a smoked old fashioned and could taste the smoke infused into the whiskey and bitters. Besides the food, there was live music performed by a band that had everyone singing Chaka Khan, Mary J. Blige and Marvin Gaye tunes. Fun! Excellent valet service. I had a wonderful evening with great friends, great food and drinks and attentive service.
Tray is hands-down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not only was he welcoming and attentive, but he went above and beyond by crafting two specialty drinks that weren’t even on the menu. Both were absolutely delicious—creative, balanced, and bursting with flavor. His skill and hospitality made the experience unforgettable, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
Nice and New Upscale Restaurant. Visited for Brunch and will return for the Dinner Menu. Outstanding Service. Food.and Atmosphere. Ask for waiter Daniel and General Manager Tony, who checked to ensure we were pleased and all to our satisfaction. All was worth our first time visit and a return visit. Definitely recommend reservations to avoid waiting as well as dress compliance. You will not be disappointed with Winsome Prime Dallas.
I decided to go to Winsom Prime for my birthday with my husband and it was amazing from start to finish. Clarissa and management made sure service was great. Our food was hot and fresh and out in less than an hour. Everything was so tasty and filling ! The music and vibe is immaculate, we will definitely be back.
Took my girlfriend for her birthday and it was 10 out of 10. We did Winsome and left needing to Losesome (just kidding) the food was amazing! Very nice atmosphere and our server Alexis aka our new cousin provided stellar customer service! This is definitely a good place for a date night, happy hour & Sunday brunch. Reservations are highly recommend! We will be coming back!
What can I say? I tried this place with some friends for a birthday dinner, and from start to finish, it was a solid experience. We had reservations, so everything was set and right on time. The atmosphere immediately stood out—dim lighting, smooth vibes, and just the right energy for the evening. We were seated quickly and greeted almost instantly by our waitress. Now, let me pause here to brag about our server, Laila W. Hands down, one of the best servers I’ve ever had. She knew the menu inside and out, gave spot-on recommendations, and since none of us drink alcohol, she even worked with the bartender to create mocktails for us. Absolute gem of a server—she’s a keeper! On to the food. We ordered a few appetizers, which came out unbelievably fast—5 to 7 minutes at most. It felt like the kitchen was on standby, ready to impress. Here’s my ranking (though the top three were basically a tie): Truffle Fries The Dip Chili Glazed Shrimp Truffle Lemon Pepper Wings (skip these, wouldn’t order again) For my entrée, I had the double-boned pork chop with mac & cheese, bacon jam Brussels sprouts, and collard greens. That pork chop? Top three I’ve ever had. The mac and Brussels were excellent, but the greens didn’t make the cut—we sent them back, and the staff handled it without any issue. At the table, we also had the Spinach Stuffed Salmon, Snapper Orleans, and Chicken Royale. I tried all three, and each was delicious—especially the Chicken Royale. The General Manager even stopped by, checked on us, and treated the birthday girl to a slice of cake. The cake itself was just okay, but the gesture was appreciated. A few notes: A 20% gratuity is automatically added (clearly displayed at the hostess counter). There’s a dress code—nothing over the top, but it keeps the vibe classy. You won’t see anyone twerking on tables here; this is a grown-up spot. The staff’s attitude was excellent—not a single rude look or off vibe all night. On Saturday evenings, they even feature live performances, which made the night even better. Overall, aside from the greens, wings, and cake, everything else was excellent. Between the service, atmosphere, and food, I’ll definitely be back. Winsome, you’ve earned a new loyal customer.
Our server, Sarah, was the most impressive. She gave recommendations, information regarding Happy Hour and was very attentive to our table. Most of all, her personality and warmth made our first dining experience memorable and ensured many return visits. Lest I forget, Tony (the general manager) was an absolute delight. Overall, the ambience, food and customer service were top shelf!.
Loved everything about Windsom Prime. From the time you step into the front door, you are greeted with a warm hello. I worked a private event there in their speakeasy room and everything was just flawless. Layla the manager took care of everything we needed with such ease and professionalisn making the event run smoothly. Let's talk about our fabulous hostess Leeah and Alexis. They were absolutely amazing taking care of the guest offering the mini bar and appetizers selection. They assisted in all things needed for a smooth and inviting atmosphere. The FOOD was a 10 out 10. I highly recommend you to dine in or have your next small event at Windsom Prime. After the event some of the guest sat down for a meal because the food was just divine. We are looking to have another event soon.
We had a fantastic Valentine's Day meal here. The ambiance and vibes were 10/10! The food we had mixed reviews. Margarita was delish. Espresso / strawberry martini was very mid, (doing too much). Lamb chops were exquisite paired with delicious mashed potatoes!! The steak was good, but slightly dry and over cooked (asked for medium rare and it was definitely medium) and paired with flavorless roasted potatoes. Dessert of rum butter cake was sooooo good!!! Would highly recommend! The live music and service and ambiance were perfect for a beautiful date night. Would give everything 5/5 except the unfortunate steak / roasted potatoes /and one cocktail (it was pretty tho)
This was me and my loving girlfriend first time here at Winsome. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary and I was absolutely Blown Away to find out that this is a black owned establishment, I loved how this was fine dining experience with and fancy atmosphere. The food was absolutely to die for, the singer Amanda was a nice touch to the atmosphere, but our waiter Yaya made this whole experience absolutely worth it! She was kind and patient every took her time raising over the menu and helped us with answering any questions. She made us laugh and most importantly as a lesbian couple she made us feel so comfortable and we will definitely be back because of HER. Incredible place and definitely recommend this to anybody I know.
Kaye is the best! Very attentive and made our experience very memorable. Went over The menu thoroughly and make sure we understood everything. Continued to check on us throughout our meal. Make sure that we were satisfied with her service. A very memorable experience. Will definitely be back.
Food and customer service were exceptionally phenomenal. This is a perfect place for date night or friends night out. We took our godson out for dinner and it was still somewhat “kid” friendly. Our server Yassmin was very attentive and we truly appreciate the complimentary slices of cake for our birthdays. Made the dinner even more special especially for our 6 year old godson 😉
First time checking this place out. We ordered a few entrees and appetizers. The spinach dip was creamy and flavorful, and the crab beignets were a standout. Light, crispy, and packed with crab. If you’re ordering an entrée, the Snapper Orleans is the one to get. It was cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and easily the best dish on the table. The other dishes such as Chicken Royale, Lasagna, stuffed salmon and Hawaiian ribeye were ok. The risotto was very good.
This place is a 10/10. A group of us chose this restaurant for our annual couples Valentine’s Day dinner and a good time was had. There was a prefixed menu for the evening which included a 4-course meal. Every single item we had was cooked to perfection. From the crab beignet’s to the crispy cauliflower for appetizers. The entree’s were all very tasty; filet and lamb chops were cooked to the right temperature and seasoned very well! There was live entertainment that was a nice romantic touch. There was also a professional photographer that took great photos of us that everyone loved and purchased. We all agreed that we will be returning to try brunch. Shouts out to Rodrick and Tony for providing impeccable hospitality. It made the experience all the more enjoyable.
I made reservations for my husband's 50th birthday. Parking was easier than expected, but it was a Wednesday night. Everyone from the hostess, our server (Cooper) even the General manager were attentive, personal and celebrated our occasion for the night. The great music selection added to the atmosphere. We enjoyed the lychee martinis, broiled oysters, Snapper New Orleans, collard greens risotto, double bone pork chops, crispy Parmesan herb potatoes... and I'd go back just for the bacon jam brussel sprouts! They provided a slice of birthday cake to finish the meal. We'll definitely return for the weekend brunch or a fun Friday night out.
Went for happy hour and dinner happy hr gets packed I suggest get there early or make a reservation. The spinach dip with crab was flavorful and filling. Drinks were good. About 6:30( if at happy hr. Table) the servers inform you that you will need to move for 7pm reservations. Dinner had the lambchops they were tender, and very flavorful the mac n cheese had a nice flavor too. If you celebrate a bday you get a complimentary cake brought out, the General Manager also came by the table and introduced himself after the bday cake came out to say send bday wishes.the live music started at 7pm on friday night.Nice experience will go back!

Winsome Prime is an absolute gem! A stunning Black‑owned steakhouse that delivers elegance, energy, and an unforgettable dining experience from the moment you arrive. The red carpet treatment begins at the door, where you’re greeted by a doorman before being welcomed by reception. The decor is breathtaking, the ambiance is vibrant, and the live band elevates the entire atmosphere. With a bar area, dance floor, lounge seating, table dining, and private rooms, this place truly has something for everyone. I visited for a birthday dinner, and every part of the evening exceeded expectations. We started with the Crab Spinach Dip, served with fresh chips that were rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For entrees, our table ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye with Smashed Potatoes, Chicken Royale, Truffle Lemon Pepper Wings with Truffle Fries, and the New York Strip with Chimichurri and Loaded Mashed Potatoes. Every dish was prepared fresh, seasoned perfectly, and cooked with precision. The steaks were executed flawlessly, the sides were just as impressive, and the Chicken Royale delivered the perfect savory balance. And let’s be honest, you can never go wrong with wings and fries, especially when truffle is involved. Pure perfection. Our server, Miss Bre, was outstanding. She was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel taken care of throughout the entire night. Her recommendations were spot on, and she checked on us consistently without ever feeling intrusive. Since we were celebrating a birthday, Winsome Prime surprised us with a complimentary slice of rainbow birthday cake. A thoughtful and unexpected touch that truly made the night special. From the exceptional staff to the top‑tier food, beautiful atmosphere, and impressive selection of wines, champagnes, and cocktails, Winsome Prime delivers a full experience from start to finish. This is a must visit restaurant, and I will absolutely be returning. Highly recommend.
Valerie was amazing and knew exactly how to guide us in our menu options. The manager Roderick was extremely attentive and made sure we were celebrated. Highly recommended for the food (oysters, shrimp dynamite, wagyu steak, brussel sprouts) and ambiance and we will be back!!
I've been hearing so much about this place. I finally came to try it out for Happy Hour. They do provide HH M-F on a first come, first serve basis from 4-7pm. I came around 5p. They have the main bar seats, and right behind it is more lounge chair type seating in the same area. The food and drinks were amazing. The drinks I had were the lemon drop martini and sidecar. As far as food, I enjoyed chili glaze shrimp, the dip, and truffle lemon pepper wings. I enjoyed it all! Be aware they do come in small portions. They also charge a 20% gratuity fee to all parties. The inside area is much smaller than I expected. I would highly recommend booking a reservation if you want to dine in. I liked the atmosphere inside and the decor. The bartender was John who was nice and had great service. I do want to dine in for either dinner or brunch to see how it's like!
Today is my birthday and it was raining when I arrived. Cece helped me dry my feet off by giving me a towel and said absolutely nothing about me being late and seated me promptly 🙂 My server Tommie was amazing, funny and very pleasant to converse with and I really appreciated his hospitality. Tony came by and spoke with me and made sure everything was to my liking. Overall all I had a wonderful dinner for my birthday. Thanks
We celebrated a milestone birthday and family event at Winsome Prime. Clarissa was our server and she was very kind, knowledgeable, and accommodated all of our allergies (3 vegans, seafood allergy, etc.) and requests. I can’t wait to come back again with my family and with friends for happy hour.
We came in with a group of 5 for a casual outing and had a wonderful time. Our server Shelby was awesome! Incredibly knowledgeable on the menu and hit the mark with every recommendation. Go girl!! We loved everything and will definitely be returning! Side note - great music selection playing all night.
Daryann was amazing. She explained the entire menu and provided all events per night that the restaurant provides. I will be back on Tuesday Night for Chop Night. The atmosphere, decor, and small detail of the restaurant is beautiful. Will most definitely be back. Order the Snapper Orkeans and Stuff Salmon.
Sarah was absolutely amazing! My initial interaction was positive and every encounter throughout our time within the restaurant resulted in a similar experience. She truly understands service and made the experience one to remember. The General Manager, Tony was also welcoming and ensured that our outing was enjoyable. I will definitely return. Great service, food and atmosphere!
Our food and service was impeccable. Our server (Kaye) was outstanding. She took great care of us. We appreciate you Kaye!!! Our food was piping hot and delicious. There was a guy playing smooth Jazz on his saxophone, which complimented the vibe in the room, then a DJ came on and played smooth tunes that continued the mellow vibes. If you want an ultimate dining experience, I highly recommend Winsome Prime.
Keavin was an amazing server! He was very attentive at the right times. Friendly is an understatement! The food and drinks were amazing. The atmosphere was a vibe! Rod the manager came by and made sure we were taking care of ! 10/10 This made my birthday a wonderful evening
This was my first time at Winsome. The food was amazing. I had the Spicy Tuna Roll and lasagna with loaded mash potatoes. I was delicious. Will definitely be returning. Deryann was an amazing server! She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
From the moment we walked in, the vibe was immaculate—intimate, stylish, and perfect for a date night. The atmosphere strikes that sweet spot between upscale and relaxed, making it easy to enjoy great conversation and even better food. Every detail felt intentional, from the ambiance to the service, which was attentive without being overbearing. The food was outstanding—beautifully presented and full of flavor. It’s the kind of place where you want to take your time, enjoy each course, and soak in the experience. If you’re looking for a fantastic date-night spot with great energy, amazing food, and a memorable atmosphere, Tonica is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!
Had an amazing experience. We had the dip and the truffle wings. Keavin was an outstanding waiter! From the moment we were seated, he was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. He knew the menu well, made great recommendations, and checked on us at just the right times without being intrusive. Our drinks were always full, the timing of the courses was perfect, and he elevated the entire dining experience. You can tell he takes pride in his work. If you’re dining here, ask for Keavin—you won’t be disappointed!
Yaya was amazing! She was everything you would want in a waitress. She even admitted to a mistake and took my food back and had replacement out quickly. She also brought over a fellow waitress who she knew would relate to me over my profession. Very sweet. Loved my experience.
We had a wonderful dining experience, and a big part of that was thanks to our waitress. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the entire meal. She greeted us with a warm smile, explained the menu clearly, and made excellent recommendations. Her service was prompt and thoughtful — she checked in at just the right times without being intrusive. It’s clear she truly cares about making guests feel comfortable and valued. Because of her outstanding service, we will definitely be returning. Highly recommend both the restaurant and her excellent hospitality!
We had such a wonderful experience! The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful — the ambiance is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. The food was top-notch — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. But what truly made our visit exceptional was our server Ms Mariah. She was amazing — attentive without being overbearing, kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm. She anticipated our needs and made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. Service like that makes all the difference. We will absolutely be back!
Mariah was an absolute gem of a waitress so warm, attentive, and welcoming! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was just as lovely. We walked in without a reservation and were lucky enough to snag a table. Such a great experience all around!
Daryann was absolutely AMAZING! From the moment we sat down, she made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Her energy was so positive, and she stayed on top of everything without us ever having to ask. Our drinks were always full, the food came out perfectly, and she made the whole experience fun and enjoyable.
I had an amazing experience here! The food was great, the staff were so kind, especially our waitress Alexis. She was the sweetest and took great care of us! The live music set such a nice vibe. I will definitely be back!
My boyfriend brought me here to celebrate my 29th birthday and it was an experience. Environment was A1, the music the vibes top notch. We started with the artichoke dip and added crab to it which was amazing. Then our server Daryann who was amazing gave the best recommendations. I got the Filet Steak med rare and he got the stuffed salmon. We ordered garlic mashed potatoes and the greens.. the greens weren’t great so she suggested the Brussels which were AMAZING!! Both of our plates were top notch. Never had a filet melt in my mouth like that before. To finish they brought out the rum cake! Overall the entire experience was perfect! So glad we ended my birthday here. We will definitely be back. 😌
Shelby was absolutely amazing! This was my first time here for Valentine’s Day and the food did not disappoint. The cauliflower appetizer was delicious and flavorful. The spicy lamb chops has the right amount of spice and was tender. Shelby was attentive and provided excellent customer service. Her demeanor was pleasant and engaging for a party of 12. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Came Saturday Night to celebrate my birthday Our Waitress Mariah was amazing very attentive, funny. Sexy grown folks vibe! Get your nice threads and show up The vibe in this place screams I'm grown and in the city. Great for girls night or date night The live music is a vibe! The food was good... Small vegan choices. My only complaint is the over priced drinks that don't have any alcohol... I'm NOT a drinker so I'm not expecting a stiff one just a bit of alcohol for the price. Be sure to check the ticket/receipt because I was charged for another couple that was at our table top. It was a mistake and corrected but still just check. The parking is valet or good luck. I pray this place stays classy!
The atmosphere at Winsome gave off a great vibe. We came on a friday night and they had live music which was good. The Hawaiian ribeye was a nice twist on flavor. The lemon pepper wings were crispy with the right amount of seasoning. The Mac and cheese was probably the best item, very cheesy and not dry.
Came with a friend for their happy hour and it wasn’t too crowded as we were able to find a seat opposite the bar. The restaurant was nicely decorated and our service was great! There are a handful of items to order for their happy hour and we settled on wings (double order) and the Dip (add crab) - I also ordered a Cesar salad. For drinks, I ordered the lemon drop martini and my friend ordered the sidecar. We thoroughly enjoyed the drinks and they’re priced nicely for happy hour. We received the dip but the crab was missing; however, it was still good - I’m sure it would’ve been better with the crab. The wings were your typical lemon pepper flavor. We were celebrating our birthdays (Scorpio season) and enjoyed a piece of cake! Overall, we had a good time and I look forward to returning to try their regular menu during dinner hours!
The experience I had yesterday was lovely, the food is great and the ambiance is very pleasant. The only issue is that we had a late reservation, but the only table available was a high top per the Hispanic lady who was a host that night. I think she was bothered by our presence as she didn’t greet us nor have a smile, and kind of had a stank attitude. I recommend cutting off reservations earlier if you would rather people to come in by a certain time. Our waiter was fabulous by the way!! We spent our hard earned money to go there I just wish it was all perfect because this restaurant is fire for sure.
My daughter and I came here for dinner and enjoyed our experience. We were given a warm and friendly greeting by a gentleman who opened the door as well as staff at the host/hostess stand. We didn't have a reservation but was able to sit at the bar. Make a reservation to guarantee seating. The bartender/server who took care of us was friendly as well. The ambiance was sophisticated and we loved the decor. As the night went on they adjusted the light setting to dim them just a bit, which added to the experience. We started with The Dip. This can be a hit or miss depending on where you go. It was a hit. I should have ordered some to-go to nibble on the next day. My daughter ordered the Spinach-Stuffed Samlon (cooked medium), she indicated the dish was delicious and moist. I ordered the Snapper Orleans. The dish was flavorful and I was surprised by the pairing of risotto and collard greens, because I do enjoy a good risotto. They went well together. The only critique about the dish now that I look back was I didn't see or taste any crab. I'll/We'll be back for sure.
This place is priceyyyy but does has a grown and sexy vibe. Keavin was my waiter he’s very tentative and on point. He made sure the drinks stayed flowing. The food was okay for the price it could have been slightly better. My chicken was barely stuffed with the boudin rice the sauce was good but probably get to risotto instead of the mash potatoes they wasn’t that good or add butter they are overly thick.
The atmosphere lovely Mac and cheese is cheesey no real seasoning but is good. The collard greens no season at all so if you like good thick crunchy greens it's for you. The ny steak medium rare with the butter delicious. I also had the the kung Pao pasta slightly sweet and the chilli peppers give it the ultimate kick but a little too much sauce. I absolutely love the crab bignets differently would run them back a 6.5/10 would go back would do the appetizers only and drinks next time but good
I recently dined at Winsome Prime to celebrate my birthday, and while there were some highlights, overall, the experience left me underwhelmed. What I Liked: The house salad was the star of the meal — fresh mixed greens, cheddar, red onions, rustic croutons, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, all brought together with a delightful pomegranate vinaigrette. The flavors were vibrant, and everything tasted fresh and crisp. I also enjoyed a side of broccolini, which was cooked well and seasoned nicely. The atmosphere of the restaurant is definitely a vibe — great music, beautiful interior decor, and lively energy. Our waitress, Brea, was fantastic. She had such a joyful spirit and delivered excellent service throughout the night. I also appreciated the warm welcome from the GM, Tony, who made it a point to greet every table. What Fell Short: Unfortunately, the main course did not live up to my expectations. I ordered the Hawaiian boneless ribeye (medium well), topped with charred pineapples and served with crispy herbed potatoes. The steak was chewy and tough. I let the staff know, and they brought out another steak, cooked more to medium, but it still wasn't any better. It felt like the issue was the cut or grade of the meat itself. The charred pineapples and potatoes were decent, but nothing memorable. I also tried the cocktail "A Star is Born", which at $22, felt overpriced for what was a very basic and forgettable drink. The complimentary Rainbow Birthday Cake with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream sounded fun but was disappointing. The cake tasted like a generic white cake dyed with food coloring rather than a rich, flavorful dessert, and the ice cream was unpleasant — I couldn't eat more than a single bite. Other Notes: The restaurant was busy, so reservations are definitely a must. Valet parking is offered for a fee. Overall Verdict: While the service and ambiance were great, the foo
From the moment we walked in the door for brunch we were ignored by the hostess whom we had to flag down and asked to be seated for our reservation. The waitstaff seemed to have to many tables to bring us the things that were ordered and the food was just ok. Although, my sister's food was burnt.(not pictured) Maybe this was an off day for them, but it left a bad taste in our mouths literally.
We had to come see what the hype was about. We were very pleased. We thought the band was only there in Fridays, but surprisingly they were there on Sat. Initially two people in our group had an emergency, but one was able to make it. With me knowing they probably wouldnt seat us without the entire party being there, I sent a message through open door. I would like to give a special thanks to whoever kept updating our reservation. After sending a message that the reservation would only be for two, I later had to revise and say 3. They were very accommodating and it did not go unnoticed. I asked for their name, but they didn't give it to me. The food wasn't bad. I ordered oysters as an appetizer. They weren't bad. Well seasoned. My friend ordered the dip(spinach dip)... It was very bland. Matter of fact we took the toppings from the oysters and put it in the dip. Leah(waitress) told one of the managers and the dip was credited, which that wasn't our intention, but thank you for the GREAT customer service. Moving forward to our entrees, we ordered ribeye, stuffed salmon, lamb chops and mac n chz. The ribeye came with pineapples and gave it a sweet taste, but was good. The stuffed salmon was delicious, the sauce was top tier. The lamb chops were good as well. The mac n chz stole the show for me. It was so creamy and cheesy. I could have just ordered the mac n cheese by itself. Chef's kiss!! My friend did mention that she felt a certain way because the manager, tall slender guy went to everyone else's table, but skipped over us. Her exact words were "we must look unapproachable or because he has approached every table, but ours. I feel overlooked". Once she said it I started paying attention and she was right. He NEVER came to our table, but did visit the surrounding tables. I wasn't too bothered though because I for one was enjoying the music, the company and myself. Leah, our waitress was AMAZING. OVERALL, it was great and I will be back! Just won't order the dip!
I can honestly say the best thing they had there was the steak. The spinach and artichoke dip had no seasoning at all just a plain dip. The lemon pepper wings were good only bad thing they were cold. For entree my wife got the chicken royal, the chicken was very dry definitely not fresh. I got a steak with parmsean herd potatoes and brocolini the steaks was good but the side could have at least been season its like they forgot to add some salf and pepper. If you like expresso martini definitely scratch out the caffeine cowboy it was trash just get a regular expresso martini. And you will get charge a 20% gratuity fee which I can say not worth it for under season food and for service to be okay, it wasn't even great if your going to charge a 20% gratuity make sure your food, drink, and service is on point.
I waited to share my experience to let it process and really think about how it all felt. The drive to Winsome Prime was a bit long but that is expected for most places in Dallas. This is a highly talked about franchise. We had a reservation for a birthday celebration and made sure to dress appropriately as stated on their site. The parking lot was full and the building would be easily missed but they have a large sign out front that shows you are in the right place. You need to watch for the turn into the lot as there is no indication a restaurant is there. We went in and were seated after a short time which was nice. They were not full. The layout and design reminds you of a club or bar in Vegas and the music being played from a live band was a nice touch for the atmosphere. We were seated and the manager said our server would be with us. She came over introduced herself and asked us about drinks and appetizers. We placed the orders for an old fashion, and wine and the crab beignets, lemon pepper wings, shrimp and oysters. The food was not the best. The crab beignets were very plain on the inside and they did not give the feel of a beignet at all. The lemon pepper wings were neither lemon nor peppery. The shrimp were good. The oysters were disappointing, they looked like they were cut in half and put in a shell with a lot of char on them. The drinks were very over price and watered down. The food ordered disappointed as well. The burger had a pearl on a stick and it was ordered well done. It came out medium rare (we cut it in half to check). We sent it back and it returned on a new bun with the same burger that we cut. The lasagna was ordered by two people and each portion was completely different. One had more sauce one had no sauce and a lot of meat. One person at our table waited for her food for 40 mins and we were told they meal wasn’t correct and they were preparing it again. When it came out it was cold and still wrong. The evening was made better with the music from the band but the food left us feeling down. The cake and ice cream came for the birthday girl and surprisingly, it was delicious. The server packed the food for us and brought us the check. The bill was over 500 with the gratuity auto added no matter the party size. We paid and part of the group left. One person stayed behind at the table with her drink waiting for our friend in the bathroom…a manager came over to the table and told her he needed it for another party. No thanks or asking how it was just sit eat and get out. I am disappointed in the first and last experience here.
I will start by saying we went on Christmas as a birthday dinner for me as a gift by my daughter. We were seated promptly, however the waitress didn’t come to our table until 12 minutes later. Her presentation was lackluster, her greeting disappointing. My daughter called and asked if there was a Christmas menu and she was told yes but turns out the menu only consisted of prime rib steak. We ordered sparkling water which took ten minutes and was warm. We were told of any specials or offered any recommendations. The atmosphere was mediocre and the food was subpar for the prices. I ordered the Kung Pao Pasta, it was dry not enough sauce and it was burnt with my shrimp overcooked. We had to call another waiter over to get our needs met and the manager did stop by to ask how things were but he was aloof and disengaged. My birthday was mentioned several times and no one came to sing or bring the complimentary birthday cake. No biggie just acknowledging that my daughter was excited to treat me and she was disappointed. The drinks had things floating in it and the silver ware was dirty. Food was okay, service was mediocre and the way the management handled it was worse, as he took the automatic 20% gratuity from the check which was distasteful. It left us in a torn place as the waitress didn’t deserve a tip regardless. We tipped anyways.
The saddest part about my review is that its not related to rhe atmosphere or the food. It was the service. I was there with a group of 8 to celebrate my birthday on 11/14. We arrived on time and from the start our waitress was rude. They had a live band that we interacted with. Before the food I asked her if she could stand at rhe end of our "u" shaped table and get a photo for us. She stated she would be right back. She avoided the table. When I had seen herw again, I repeated the question. She said "no ill have to have someone else do it because I am busy" I told her it would take 2 seconds and its not like we have to pose. Its literally at the end of the table. With an attitude she asked for my phone. I gave it to her and she took a horribly blurry picture and even cut one of my friends out. Every time after that when she came back to the table she had an attitude. At the end after dinner she came back with a slice of cake sat it down and walked away. At the same time the table next to us was brought out a slice of cake with a candle and the waitress sat there clapping while they sang happy birthday. This was a horrible service experience at an amazing place. Its truly unfortunate and my group bday picture its truly ruined.
Disappointing experience. I was in the area for work and stopped in for dinner, sitting at the bar since I was alone. Shortly after ordering, the bartender came back and asked me to repeat my main because he forgot. I also asked for the Wi-Fi password, and he said he would check but never followed up. I ordered the crab beignets and snapper Orleans — both had good flavor but unfortunately were served cold, which was surprising and made it seem like the food had been sitting out before being brought to me. To top it off, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill, which felt odd for one person at the bar, especially given the lack of service. Overall, not a great experience and I won’t be returning.
My fiancé and I came to celebrate on Valentine’s Day. We were surprised to be notified that we will SHARE A TABLE WITH ANOTHER COUPLE… because they were overbooked, MIND YOU, we booked two months in advance. We requested politely to be seated else where and they did accommodate this request. Next comes the 3 course meal that you cannot change (which was okay), food comes out my fiancé ordered a medium cooked 6 oz sirloin. They brought out a WELL done steak out. We returned it, and received a RARE steak, and we returned it.. the last and final steak was burnt on the outside and raw in the inside… how disappointing. They did not discount the meal and the required tip was $60 and the total price (drum roll please) $400. For a 6 oz steak and pasta with a bone in it. Thanks so much for the lousy food. No seasoning and not cooked well and no comp or discount.
