Wow! In one word amazing… the food, the service, the love of the chef & his wife for their restaurant, the relaxed atmosphere and lastly the fantastic tasting traditional food. Attention to details with an amuse, a spoon before dessert, various breads… Even as vegetarians there were enough options. So happy we came here!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant that’s only 25 minutes from Courmayeur. Went for Valentines Day, and it did not disappoint. The service was incredible, and everything we ate was delicious. Would recommend for anyone in the area!

We loved every bite and every second of our dinner @LeClou! Delecate disches, but still really authentic Valdostana. Gluten free no problem at all. And very, very kind and friendly staff! They love what they are doing!

Update June 2024: See my comment below. :) Update April 2022: Still as good as I was used to. Still as welcoming as I was used to, too. And the Risotto with Lardo still makes me wanna praise the Lord. :) Keep it up and grazie millle! Original post 2019: I visited this lovely Restaurant for the first time because of the recommendation of the clerc from nearby Albergo Ruitor. I was warmly welcomed, even though I was alone on a Friday evening and w/o booking. The staff speaks fluent English (besides Italian, of course^^) and the menu is available in Italian, English, German and offers traditional dishes from the Aosta region, as well as some new interpreted dishes with local ingredients and of course some classics that you´ll not miss on any other better restaurant´s menu. The firtst thing that intrigued me was the bread. I always thought that in Italy you won´t get a hold on anything other than floppy white bread. Not here. They say they bake several different styles every day and as far as I can tell, they are all good - try the one with the walnuts! The bread is served with a small amount of flavoured butter. If it´s not enough, ask for more. No problem, I think. As Starter (primi piatti) I ordered Gnocchi from blue potatoes in a rich sauce with Aosta blue cheese and bacon slices from the "we´re trying something new" menu. It tasted really lovely, the Gnocchi were cooked a little bit too long for my personal taste. Anyway, great serving and taste. 7/10 My main dish (secondi piatti) was from the "traditional" menu: Risotto with onions and cabbage on very thin slices of Lardo (a very special, fat Salumi from local produce). Now THAT was something very special. The Risotto itself was cooked on the point and really tastefull. The combination with the lightly sauteed and still crisp onions and cabbage was great. But the highlight was the Lardo that nearly melted into the whole dish and fusioned it to something more than the sum of it´s parts. Absolutely brilliant and the best Risotto I´ve ever had! 9.5/10 If you need some aid to digest, try the Grappa Barrique - but beware they´re serving quite big potions.^^ The staff is very frienly, always attentive and open for a little chit chat if there´s time. All in all a very pleasing experience. If I wouldn´t have to travel approx. 10 hours to get there, I´d be visiting this restaurant regularly.

What a charm this place. We were received by a friendly staff. Meals were to die for it. The chef put a lot thought into the dishes ensuring that all the flavors can compliment each other. Super recommended it!!!!!

5+ you must really eat here when you are nearby. Lovely and affordable authentic Italian food, the panna cotta is the best I have ever eaten! Tips are the local red whine and go to the toilet across the elevator, with an old school radio to have some entertainment

Wow, fantastic, amazing. We found this place by accident and so glad we did as we enjoyed the most amazing food. The restaurant has a lovely decor, the staff are friendly and attentitive and did all they could to help translate the menu into English for us. All 3 courses we had were a true taste sensation, cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Very good restaurant both for food and staff. Compared to other restaurants in the low part of the Valley, portions are not so big and prices a little bit higher than others, but it really worth going. Very appreciated the chef tour at the end of the meal! Better to book in advance.

Food and place is ok, but service was quite bad in my opinion, serving lady got offended I asked whether they have pasta carbonara, wifi pass word was written wrong on their card (quite annoying with a baby crying for coco melon) and we only managed to pay with card after the 5th attempt

The food is very good; however the ambiente is heavy and fake. We asked to taste two wines by the glass, super small tasting on order to choose a bottle. Both had turned to vinegar and the waiter said that was true as they were served my the glass. Something I’ve never been told at a restaurant before — in the end they asked us to pay 2 euro to wash the glasses that they used to bring the wine that smelled so bad, we were unable to taste it🤔
