My family and have been to Bruxie a few times since last year. We really enjoy their waffle sandwiches and chicken tenders. So far, we have enjoyed everything we have had here. My oldest son while will be attending UC Davis this fall loves eating here. He has come many times while visiting Davis with his friends. For spiciness, the original seasoning is fairly mild, Honey Hot is medium (slight kick, but the sweetness of the honey helps) and Kickin’ Nashville is much more spicy, but not overpowering like other hot chicken restaurants. I like the spiced tots (slight spice) over the waffle fries, but both are good. Their lemon cream and berries waffle dessert was good if you are looking for a savory dessert after your meal. Check them out if you are in town.

A bit of Davis history and there is a path here.. There used to be a place on Olive Drive called Redrum Burger (originally Murder Burger). Spectacular flavour, had emu burgers and their Aggie Annihilator, a 1 pound burger.. Years after Redrum closed, there stepped in a new name to Davis.. Bruxie. They have great food, great value, fantastic service from all the staff.. Can't get a fresher & healthier portion for that money anywhere else! Whilst Bruxie won't be quick with the emu burgers or 1 pound burger.. rest assured, you're tasting new Davis Greatness here.

The chicken fingers. Omg hand battered and deep fried to order. So so good!!! The chicken bites tossed in buffalo sauce were also very good, but a bit too spicy for me. I did really enjoy them but my mouth was burning.

Delicious homemade food! I enjoy their original waffle chicken sandwich and spicy Tatar tots with homemade range dipping sauce on the side! Shoutout to Sonia for being very kind, attentive, caring, and made sure eveyone was taken care of! She was able to answer any of my questions and concerns about the menu and I enjoyed hearing more about the business and her favorites from her. I look forgot to coming back!

Craving waffles and chicken tenders? Or something sweet? Serves breakfast items to dessert items, a lot of variety. Strolling through downtown with my friends, came upon Bruxie, a waffle sandwich shop, I believe Davis is their first location in NorCal. Ordered a chicken & waffles ($15.70 with tax), which was really delicious. Also ordered custard ($5). You're able to see everything being made when you enter the restaurant. The seating is behind the ordering counter, so it is not too loud. Order at the counter and sit anywhere you like. There's also a rewards program, free item if you sign up. My order took about 8 minutes, comes with 2 pieces of chicken and a waffle. The chicken tender is quite juicy compared to another chicken place down the street (Cane's) and seasoned with different types of herbs. The employee also checked on what we thought about the food, so awesome service. My friends thought that Bruxie tastes better than a soul food restaurant in Sacramento as well. The waffle is quite light and with crunch. The small bottle of syrup is definitely enough for this meal. As for the custard, it's definitely tastes more eggy,a bit of salt mixed with sugar. I definitely want to come back here for dessert and try their sweet waffle sandwiches (berries with Nutella or lemon cream or creme brûlée).

Food was amazing! The homemade sauces are a must and don’t get me started on the maple syrup🤤! If you're driving through or have to make the drive it’s definitely worth trying! My new favorite food spot with a great patio to dine-in.

At long last Davis has a sparkling clean, welcoming place to buy the best fried chicken breast this fried chicken aficionado has feasted on. We ordered 10 - pieces of tender, juicy fried chicken breast (much bigger than the usual strips) with three different sauces to dip them in. Everything from ordering and paying online, to collection at the restaurant was seamless. There was plenty of parking; the restaurant was gleaming; the employees and management were warm and welcoming; our order was ready right on time, and the beautifully boxed, traditional chicken breast was definitely 5-Star. We enjoyed it with our own salad and beverages at home. At around $3 a piece, Bruxie turns out to be not only delicious, but also an excellent value when combined with your own salad fixins or sides.

The butter milk chicken salad is awesome. The waffle is crunchy on the bottom and soft on top, which tastes really good! The lady at front desk is very nice and kindly provided additional plate for me to share foods with friends. The foods are wonderful and comfort. Sitting at the back of the restaurant with sunshine is very enjoyable. Bruxie is definitely a best chickens place in town for sure.👍

My friends and I went to Bruxie just a few days ago, needless to say we all were pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere of the restaurant. We conversed with various workers and also were provided with beyond excellent customer service. Bruxie clearly is striving to have excellent customer service and also be personal with its customers!

Looking for some good chicken, chicken and waffle sandwiches, waffle cries, and tots then this is your spot! Located in the Davis commons shopping plaza, parking is not too hard with the parking lot and neighboring street parking from downtown. Service was great, the staff were so friendly! The chicken and waffle sandwich was super hearty and flavorful. The chicken tenders are juicy and go great with the dipping sauces! We even tried some of the spicy flavors that are quite spicy! The waffle fries and tots pair well with the chicken. The strawberry lemonade was on the sweeter side. There are both indoor and outdoor seating.

This place caught me off guard, The chicken and waffle combo go so well together. It just melts in your mouth and you get unlimited refills to go with that! The place is a bit expensive considering it’s chicken and waffle s but nonetheless very good. Would definitely come again, very nice seating too.

I would completely recommend the shareable loaded totes! Unfortunately, the original combo was $20 and the coleslaw tasted old and the fries were stale. Nonetheless, both girls that were working there at the time were nice and attentive.

Bruxie has beautiful dishes, however, we found them to be look better than their taste. The waffles are of the crispier variety rather than fluffy and figuring out how to eat the waffle sandwiches was a challenge in and of itself.

Bruxie in Davis is a place for all things chicken and waffles. This counter-serve cafe offers gourmet takes on the classic combo, alongside waffle fries and desserts. It's a casual spot with a big emphasis on flavor, perfect for a relaxed and satisfying meal. I opted for the fried chicken + bun sandwich, and let me tell you, it packed a punch! The Honey Hot seasoning delivered a kick of heat that lingered pleasantly throughout. Be warned, spice sensitivity sufferers might want to choose a milder option. Despite the heat, the sandwich was incredibly flavorful. The creamy honey mustard, tangy pickles, and homemade slaw provided excellent counterpoints to the crispy chicken. However, it's worth noting that all the deliciousness came with a lot of oiliness. My friend tried the Holy Chicken, featuring maple-glazed chicken, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, sriracha mayo, and a sunny-side up egg. He wasn't really a fan of this menu item. The sriracha mayo wasn't quite his thing, and he felt the maple glaze could have been more generous. The ordering process is simple: head to the counter, place your order, get a number, sit anywhere, and place the number on your table, and your food will be delivered to you. Bruxie also offers outdoor seating, making it a great option for a casual al fresco lunch. Overall, Bruxie delivers big on flavor and offers a fun twist on the classic chicken and waffles. The spice level in some dishes might surprise some, so be sure to check the menu descriptions. While on the oily side, the deliciousness of the sandwiches and the option of outdoor seating make Bruxie a 4-star contender.

Bruxie serves pretty good food and has a decent amount of seating options. I went with my friend and when our food came there were several items missing including our special coldbrew drinks. The staff was super friendly and helpful but it did take repeating the same missing items about several times to get them. Also, we received two plain ice coffees instead of the special coldbrew coffee with foam that we ordered and repeated multiple times when trying to get all of our missing items. It didn’t ruin our meal, but it definitely wasn’t what we paid for or what we would’ve enjoyed. It did not appear busy or understaffed, so it was a little frustrating to have to ask so many times for what we ordered, but the food was tasty which made up for it.

Breakfast burrito was mushy and greasy with little flavor. Service was slow; almost left since nobody was at the front counter. Definitely needs a cleaning.

First time I went, awesome experience, great, crunchy waffles and chicken. So I took some more people, and disaster struck. First, they forgot one of the sandwiches on the order. We called in and they said to come back and pick it up. When we got it, the waffle was pale, underdone, and soggy. Quite disappointing. Edit: How do you want to connect further?

Never buying from the davis bruxie. This is the second time they’ve given us inconsistent quantities. 10 fries for the 2 tender comb is absolutely not worth the 16 bucks. Save yourself the time and money and go to another location. I’ve had Bruxie from other location with way better servings for your money.

*to the owner, I'm unable to message you. Not sure why* I have never experienced the type of service I had here today. First, they were unable to make any of the Belgium style waffles only the thin waffles which are a very different texture, we audio had to buss our own table. Second, I had to go get a kitchen rag and disinfectant spray from the register and clean off our table. Ok, I can live with that. HOWEVER, after we THE THIRD AND FINAL STRAW, as we're sitting enjoying our food, 2 young people walk into the back of the restaurant with kittens. The kittens are on their shoulders and they're holding another one. My friend, her son and I are HIGHLY allergic. We say something to them, they do not respond. One of the employees (sonja) eventually walks over (we think to address the situation) with her cooking apron on BUT begins to pet the kittens! We say something again. She ignores us. She walks back to the kitchen area, comes back, pets the kittens some more and then grabs the kittens and proceeds to put them in the back room. She has not washed her hands, she still has on her apron, she's touching door knobs and everything in between. At this point, I make a concerted effort to address the situation. And say to her that only service animals are allowed in places that serve food and how unsanitary it was for her to be touching the kittens, going in the kitchen and still wearing her cooking apron. She proceeded to argue with us and say "she's here on her day off, she has it handled and it's ok for the kittens to be in the back". We were adamant that it was NOT in fact ok. She started getting louder and louder trying to explain why the animals were there and that she "knew what she was doing". The young lady at the register (lighter complexion, African-American, hair pulled back in a ponytail) was extremely apologetic for the situation. Sonja, who was the one with kittens continued ranting until we left the restaurant. I have NEVER experienced a food worker behave in that way. Everything that she did was extremely unsanitary and puts everyone at risk, especially since she was going in and out of the kitchen in the same clothes, and cooking apron. Not to mention she NEVER washed her hands. It was further crazy that she argued with us, loudly, in the restaurant and still kept the kittens in there! Never again.

Wow. So sad this place has gone straight down the drain since opening. The windows are dirty and greasy you can barely see through them. The kitchen in so cluttered with boxes and bags and whatever stacked up everywhere. Clearly ownership and management have no clue about guests' line of sight rules for an open kitchen or workspace. The food was bad. I ordered a berry and lemon waffle and an order of chicken and waffles. Chicken was over cooked. The waffle was greasy and just tasted like old batter. The lemon curd did not taste the same and definitely not fresh. I've had this waffle 5 other times and they were good then but I had not been back for over 6 months. I definitely will not be coming back. It is clearly horribly managed. The cashier was nice though.

All I ordered was two tenders and fries TO GO, I sat and waited for over 40 minutes because they were a little busy. Turns out they had my food and just forgot to call it out. It’s already cold and I’m tired of waiting. Will never come back.
