Delicious food at reasonable prices for an upscale restaurant. Friendly and professional staff. Good place for a business meeting or date.

This is a great place to have a fine dinner, lunch or work outing. The seafood is fresh and they have many options. The food and service are excellent! I have had a number of holiday outings at Big Fish and the team has loved it. The last one was a much larger group and they were very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Every time I visit this place of business I have a great time. I love the staff. Lanise and Yousef have always made me feel like family. The food fabulously delicious. The Love is Real for the Big Fish Seafood Bistro.

I wish I had visited this diner sooner! They serve breakfast all day, and it's fantastic. The chopped steak was ok, but I definitely preferred the breakfast. The prices are incredibly affordable and the wait staff is incredibly helpful, patient. Definitely worth it for the soup bar, also.

This is an experience recommended for all. It offers menus from the past and communal eating tables. While dining, the staff will provide historical facts about the building and the menu. It is a lot of fun but if you are shy or not comfortable trying new dishes or sitting with strangers, it may not be for you.

I absolutely love this restaurant. I took my sisters and we enjoy every minute of it. Our server was awesome. Stop reading the negative reviews. You have to experience this!!! I will return very soon. Also if you go try the wine!

Love this place. Great, friendly bar staff and super Happy Hour menu with surprising prices for the quality of food and drink. We always end up eating at the bar as we're made to feel right at home there. Attentive staff!

Was there last week... really nice crew they have working there! Something interesting: on the backs of the bar chairs, they have these little plaque-like engravings, with the names of some of their regular customers. What a nice touch! Talk about customer appreciation! - That made me smile!

Great food and service. Fish is always well cooked. Sides are delicious and there is a large variety. I really enjoy the lobster bisque but it’s seasonal or they don’t always have it.

Went for lunch, excellent salmon pate with the bread. I had the seafood broiled combination. Great attentive w as it staff. Not the cheapest place but good food and service.

Food was good, service was slow because people didn't show up. Had the manager bussing tables and serving food. Too bad because their menu is really nice!

Quality and taste of food is consistent. Waitstaff is variable and can bring down the overall experience. Even being very specific with the request of no croutons and sour cream for the gazpacho, had to send it back because it arrived with the croutons. Lack of follow up at the table for ordering entree after soup and appetizer served. Took an hour and getting the attention of another server to order entrees.

It was my first time there and I went to listen to a band out on the patio area. Lots of people all enjoying themselves and having a good time. It was a beautiful evening. Need to figure out a little bit better arrangements for a dance floor though because it was a little tight with the tables.

I wish I could give 5 stars, but the food was over the top in terms of fat and salt. I have, unfortunately, had better stuffed fish from Sam's club. The veggies were nicely flavored, but again, given a bath in butter. The rice was bland and dry and very generic. I got the sense that it is mass produced, perhaps not even freshly made? The menu is appetizing and varied, so I will return to try again. Limited fine dining options downriver make this a stand out. So 4 stars is relative to the area, in a more competitive environs likely 3 stars. I see that my opinion is not an outlier among the other reviews here. Sounds like they need to work a little more on fresh, authentically made offerings.

The salad with goat cheese medallion is creative and delicious...simply wonderful flavor. The spiced nuts had me guessing which spices were used, definitely spices redolent in Indian cooking. Same menu day in and day out except for the varied appetizers. Pricing is a little on the expensive side. I had an outstanding waiter the first time I was there... anticipated every need & had our dinner rolling at the exact right pace. Other times, the service has not been nearly as attentive, to the point of yes, having empty glasses and prolonging our stay by at least 20 minutes while we waited... but first impressions are lasting, so I continue to go back expecting top notch service.

Great service and the food was delicious. Had a board meeting there for 12 ppl and they were very accommodating. They have us the private room in the back which was perfect. Will be back there again.

Great place, awesome atmosphere, perfect for a quick bite, a meeting or a hot date. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and delicious food. Literally everything on this menu is amazing. If you're in the area and need a seafood fix, this is a great option.

Our waiter was super friendly, quick, and helpful. He offered a great dry red wine for me and brought our food out promptly. Everything was delicious and portioned perfectly. The only reason I am not giving a 5 Star is that the vegetables were a little under done. Too crunchy for my taste. But everything else was delightful all the way down to the Irish Coffee at the end of dinner.

The food was good. I personally am not a seafood eater so I got the flatbread. It was good. The service we had was not the best. I had to ask for my drink a couple of times and which the server said "Oh right, I'll check on that".

Food was OK. Portions were small for the price. The chief would not substitute a fish on one of the dishes, not very accommodating. Marc the waiter was Awesome. Not happy with the chief.

The food here has always been pretty good and deserves 4 stars but the service is overly theatrical up sell. Granted our waitress was training someone but it was irritating.

Overall I was relatively disappointed in this restaurant. Typically I truly enjoy the Muer restaurant’s dishes but this was far below standard that I have known Muer to have. To start we ordered the BBQ Shrimp Enbrochette that was delicious and the best part of the meal. The rest of the food went downhill from here. The Big Fish Chowder had great flavor but was unnecessarily garnished with raw tomatoes. I am not against tomatoes but the flavor was unnecessary as the soup was great without it. For my entrée I had the Seared Diver Scallops. First off, these were a poor excuse for diver scallops as these were some of the smallest I have ever seen. Second the gnocchi that this was served over was possibly one of the worst I have ever had. I would not go back to this restaurant.

Unfortunately let’s just say the pics were taken BEFORE actually tasting it. My steak was ordered medium well and when presented to my by the waiter I didn’t cut into it and told him it was okay. But when I cut into my medium well steak is was burnt and very dry. When complaining about it since I couldn’t chew it the supervisor asked if I had said it was okay when presented to me. I said yes I did but when I removed the 1/2 lb of fried onions off the steak is when I noticed. They were kind enough to remove the steak from my bill as I wasn’t even in a mood to wait for another. I didn’t even begin to complain about the crab legs. They gave me 3 nice legs and 2 slightly defective legs u could tell weren’t from the same crab. I think that’s why it’s so dark in there and we went around 4pm. All the while being mildly harassed by your server to join some dining club that cost money to earn rewards. The 3rd star was because they gave me no headache about returning the steak. Not my cup tea, will not be returning

I ate here with about 15 business colleagues. The food was good but the service was very slow. Drink refills were request 3 or 4 times before it actually happened. When the drink orders finally came out it took about 20 minutes. That's way to long to have an empty glass while your eating.

I have eaten here 6 times in about 3 years, so please take what I have to say with a grain of salt... Speaking of SALT! I like salt, I won't eat potatoes, rice, grits or oatmeal without it. I ordered the Halibut blackened and I was informed that the Halibut had been 86ed. Now, to be clear... the second and third time I ate here I had the halibut and it was "slap yo momma" type of good. However, I have not been able to have it since because every time I have gone they don't have it. So this time, I had the trout and the waitress suggested to have it blackened. The oysters on the half shell and the shrimp appetizer we're both very good. When I was served the trout, the presentation was excellent. My date tasted my trout before I did and said it was salty and that I would not like it. I tasted it and within a few minutes I began to have a headache because it tasted like I was eating nothing but salt. As a trained Chef I know that restaurants do this from time to time when they have old fish. I did not send it back because when I complain to the waitress she told me that the plane redskin potatoes would play out the flavor of the salty fish. At that point I knew that I was up the creek and would not be having any more fish. I received the bill which was no problem considering the atmosphere and the attention given by the waitress. As I drowned my hypertension with water in order to avoid a stroke. I thought back on how good this restaurant used to be, with hope that one day it will be a great place to eat once again. I plan on returning towards the beginning of the year and hopefully things will go back to the way they used to be. Everyone is entitled to a few bad days.

Food was OK, but service was very slow. Manager didn't really care about our feedback and did not follow up to make sure things got better. I won't return.

I've had the bass and steak here now. The bass was too fishy, and the (medium) steak was chewy and so dry it required steak sauce to be eaten. However, the service has been good both times, and with steak sauce the steak was enjoyable.

My first time going was Wednesday went to a birthday dinner it was only eight of us and the place was not busy the wait was ridiculously long. The waiter was nice but couldn’t handle the party. We waited so long, our dinner came out with the appetizers. There was requests for additional dressings and sauces we never received ask the waiter multiple times he never remembered anything. Only reason I’m giving them 2 stars was the firecracker shrimp they were absolutely delicious. I had the fish it was terrible. But those shrimp will be the only reason I would even think about returning.

Considering the price of the food, you would assume that the food would be top notch. Not even close. This has not been my only visit, but will certainly be my last. I ordered the Broiled Seafood Platter. Scallops were rubbery, crab cakes were mushy and the salmon had absolutely no flavor. Service was good....that is the only reason that I am giving two stars.

This place was great the first time I ate here, but it seems to have gone down in quality recently. I had their seafood platter, and the fish was overcooked, and the skillet wasn't super hot either. It was still good to eat, but at $30 a plate I expect much, much more.

Stopped yesterday for lunch. Ordered calamari for an appetizer and was fine. The bread served was warm, oddly spiced and tasted like it was cooked the day before. I love bread but didn’t finish the rest. Ordered the seared scallops with couscous and a pea purée for $32. I couldn’t finish the plate. The scallops were unremarkable, the pea purée and couscous distasteful. My wife ordered the coconut shrimp and salmon. The salmon was ok. High priced and dissatisfying. Went home and ate a bowl of corn flakes and was happier with that.

The mussels were over cooked and we had to send them back. The waiter never brought the salad. The crab legs were drenched in butter and cold. The food was mediocre. The prices were high for the quality of the food.

Food was outstanding. Service was inexplicably slow for 5 tables on Sunday night. Bar service slower yet. Food was good enough to bring our party of 5 back, but only once to retest the service.

P
Pompilian Tofilescu

The place has been there for ever but the quality has gone down in time. I ate there 15 years ago, and it was one of the best places around. Now, not anymore. Recently, a friend of mine got food poisoning there. Expensive for the quality it is offering.

Disappointed! Half the menu was not available due to bad logistics we assume (very busy weekend they mentioned). However when you reserve for 15 people you should mention you are out of the main dishes. Food was cold, music too loud and chairs just stored all over the place like a back room. Very dusty. The waitress screaming out the specials at our party instead of being more friendly and telling the people in a nice manner. Overpriced!

Horrible!!!! Understaffed, dirty utensils, no air conditioning for most of the time there, food is good but late and orders got mixture up. Staff tried to be hospitable but there was just too much a few of them. They tried but it wasn't as expected.

Don't waste your your time or money. The food is mediocre at best. The price is too high for low quality food. Filled my tall skinny beer glass with 3/4 beer 1/4 foam... Not going back...

We took our parents here for their Anniversary, and to put it mildly the service was HORRIBLE!!!!!! We had to ask for dinner ware, water, and wait an inexcusable length of time for our meals. My dad wanted lobster, the best they could do was offer him crab legs. The overall quality of the food has decreased significantly! I wished I could give them a half star.....

Service was horrible. We had a party of 5 and the place wasn't busy at all. Waitress seem to not be able to handle asking if we needed refills or even if we needed anything from her. We had to call the manager after waitress flat out lied about the kitchen closing because an order was wrong vs explains the food was pre-prepped. Tell the truth get 's you a long way. Manager Juanita approached the table with a smirk and was not very helpful and didn't show any empathy whatsoever. She continued to speak as of it was our fault it took the waitress an hour to take our orders. Food came out lukewarm. She never really apologized for the servers error. Most managers would advise, "Oh I'm so sorry shes new I'll discuss that with her". Not sure what her deal was but it wasn't satisfactory for someone in customer service. This was my first and last time visiting this place.

My husband and I ordered take-out. He ordered regular fish and chips and I ordered calamari with a seafood platter. Now... We are from TX and we LOVE our seafood... we were sooo not impressed! The food was cold and bland. Additionally, I learned that Big Fish is apart of the Laundry’s chain... I am sssssoo not impressed! Landry’s is a great restaurant down in Houston so I was so surprised by the poor quality of food served. To top it off it was terribly over priced!!! They only thing I give the one star to is the customer service. The folks at Big Fish were rather pleasant!

First and last time here. Service was terrible, I think molasses flows faster at -20. My daughters coloring menu was already used, and my wife's bread plate had hair and something else stuck to it. Waited forever for cold entrees. Very disappointed! Restaurant was at 50% capacity......maybe.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was excited to try this place . First we were there early so we would not have to wait. We got there at 445. Only 2 in the back of restaurant. Our server seemed new. But that's ok. I ordered the 1.25 lbs of snow crabs. I wish I had taken anpicture. I receives 2 small clusters missing legs on both. Our food took a very long time. Others that came after bus were allready finishing there meals .ours was cold and veggies cold. I didn't receive melted butter nor crackers . I had to wait at least 5 minutes or more for those. I did complain. The manager came and just wanted to reward the food .at the Ling wait I declined . My friend ordered crab cakes. Those were just barely warm . I asked for water. Never received that. I was still hungry after eating the apron .5 lbs of crab. Some were so little it was a nightmare trying to get the meat some had no meat in them. Server slow and forgetful. Manager didn't try to do much to satisfy out experience . Could have at least brought more legs. Or comped even a dessert. Nothing. We did order desserts and coffee . Poor management skills and poor food quality. I get better legs at a Chinese buffet . Total bill 110.00. Manager needs to learn how to make a customer happy. Not just reward food on a microwave . I will never go back due in part to lack of customer satisfaction. Slow service. Lack of a good dining expiernce. Do not reccomened eating here .esp the crablegs worst crab legs I have ever tried to eat.

This place was TERRIBLE to say the least. We were a party of 15 the only people in the restaurant. It took over 30 mins for appetizer which were great, but 1hr for dinner that was cold and subpar. Also they lied to us about receiving happy hour prices. In conclusion great happy hour terrible dine in experience.

Worst place you can ever imagine of going to, let me tell you where it all started, we waited 45 mins to get the food, server was just doing his job but they hired new cooks so that was the problem for the delay. Lon story short my friend gets his food and there goes a hair in the plate, we call the manager amd he wanted to replace it we refused then says " I feel bad for you " like who says that to a customer ? Forget that he was trying to do his job but just rude, food was -1 on a scale of 100 to a 1000. Super pissed never going there again, first and last time, big fish big my ass. If I didn't have to put the star to type my review I wouldn't even think they should have a rate to this place because they are below rated and super crapy. By the way I've never let a review on a place and was so bothered I had to let you people know. DO NOT SHOW THIS PLACE BUSINESS !! WORD TO MOUTH WILL SHUT THEM DOWN!!!

J
Jon Moglovkin

for what they charge, the service was subpar as was the food. our waiter, named Demario, while nice failed to prebus repeatedly, offer a refill on bread, or even to bring water to the table in a reasonable amount of time (the place was at 10% capacity on a saturday night.) "potato crusted" at this place means they top your item (in my case scallops) with some shreds of unseasoned, coney island quality hash browns (generally everything here was missing seasoning/flavor.) while a few of items they sold were tasty (wedge salad was good, as was the crab cake) the same can be said of your standard roadside diner. overall this was the worst $90.00 i have ever spent on food, after this bad experience i would not eat here again even if the food was free.

I ate there today and had a simple dish, linguini with clam sauce (white). I had a violent reaction to the clams I ate when I got home (just a few hours later). This has never happened to me to have this type of reaction to a meal. I called the manager (on duty) by phone and he claimed it never happened before to anyone and just blew it off as a personal issue. I had nothing else to eat that day, only water to drink and have a very strong stomach. I am certain it was the clams and am very disappointed not just on the meal but how it was handled afterwards.
