Parc Detroit Reviews
We dined at Parc for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. The ambiance was amazing as Campus Martius was all lit up. Tomasita took excellent care of us and the food was outstanding. What a memorable experience. We will back!
We celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary at Park, and it was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, Viola greeted us warmly and even remembered our special occasion, making us feel right at home. We found a handwritten thank-you note at our table, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our server, Salah, was wonderful, guiding us through the menu and recommending amazing dishes. The food was delicious, the cocktails were perfectly crafted, and the dessert was out of this world, especially the bread pudding with ice cream. Billy, the manager, went above and beyond by introducing himself, wishing us a happy anniversary, and gifting us champagne and two beautiful flutes, along with a complimentary dessert. It truly made our evening unforgettable. As we left, Billy even took a wonderful photo of us in front of the restaurant, capturing the memory perfectly. All in all, our experience at Park was spectacular, and we highly recommend it for any special occasion.
Parc never disappoints! Campus Martius is the heart of the city and Parc utilizes the views of all the action! The food is so fresh and creative. Sprouts and wedge best in the city! The drinks always on point! The staff are knowledgeable about their food, drinks and the city! If you’re a guest in our beautiful city you have to try Parc!
We were first time at Parc restaurant to celebrate my birthday with my family. We liked this place so much. The food was super delicious. Nadiyah was so nice to us ☺️ and the atmosphere was amazing ✨✨. Thank you!! We will be back 🫶🏻
First time here, don’t come downtown often but I came for the auto show and birthday weekend. Was surprised to get in without reservation. Got a window seat looking out to the ice rink, gorgeous view. I had Shrimp squid ink pasta dish and hazelnut cocktail. Both were amazing and not overly priced. I’d say just perfect for the location. I will be back myself and with family.
My husband brought me here for sweetest day. I have been waiting to try Parc. We came in pretty late for dinner and the service was top-notch not to mention the views Sean our server was awesome. Gave great recommendations great timing and very courteous. We even took a picture with him!! will definitely be going back here
I attended a private dinner at Parc and was very impressed. The food was excellent, our group enjoyed beautifully prepared dishes, including roasted chicken and oysters, that were both flavorful and well presented. The service was attentive and professional, which made the evening flow seamlessly. One of the highlights was when someone in our group ordered a specialty cocktail served with dry ice—it came out with a dramatic smoky presentation, and she said it tasted just as good as it looked. The ambience was warm and upscale, perfect for both group gatherings and special occasions. Overall, Parc delivered a memorable dining experience, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a great meal in downtown Detroit.
Adam was our waiter and I can’t even describe how amazing our visit was. From walking in, being sat, eating and leaving our experience was one to remember. We found a common ground with our waiter and he really made our experience the best. I will come here more and ask for Adam because u know we will have a killer experience and service.
The lobster bisque was a bit salty for my taste, but still really good. Our tomahawk steak came already cut off the bone -convenient, but we honestly wanted to see it served on the bone. We ordered medium rare and it came out rare, but once it was fixed, everything tasted great. Desser was above and beyond. Our server was friendly, and the overall vibe of the place was spot on.
We found Parc by total accident and it ended up being one of the best surprises of our trip! The espresso martini was next-level — definitely not mid (Joseph knows!). Huge shoutout to Joseph, the legend behind the bar, for keeping the drinks flowing and putting up with our nonstop “clocking that tea.” Also, yes, I fixed his stapler… consider it my small contribution to the restaurant’s success and pretty sure it officially makes me part of the team.
(Last visited October 9, 2023.) On September 26, 2023 my father passed away. His funeral was October 4, 2023. My parents' anniversary was October 9th. So I wanted to take my mom out to a nice dinner because well, she would've been with Dad today. :-( I decided on Parc because I heard great things, read great reviews and it's somewhere she's never been. So we made reservations and we brought a picture of my dad to "sit" with us in his remembrance. Here's how things went... Atmosphere/Appearance: This place oozes elegance. There is no private parking lot since this place is downtown near Campus Martius, but once inside it just feels good to be there. There's lots of warm, yellow lighting, plush, soft booths, white tablecloths, minimal wall decor, but awesome chandeliers. I know there was music, I just can't remember what kind was playing. It was just so nice to be in here. There's a huge outdoor seating area as well, but it was a wee-bit cold for that. Service: Everything was exquisite. We had no problems whatsoever, our server had a personality, showed empathy for our recent loss and just made sure we had everything that we needed. Food: We started with a tuna tartare that was so well put together. The tuna was fresh, the avocado was flavorful and the wonton chips provided the perfect light, salty crispy to complement the creamy textures. We got some kind of salad, but as I look at their current menu I don't recognize it as they change their menu every so often. No matter, it was delicious, crispy with a slight sweet and nutty taste due to its ingredients. For my entree I went with some sort of seafood dish, you just gotta look at my pictures. Lol. REGARDLESS, everything we had here was fantastic. Mom had the roasted chicken with parmesan fries. She likes to keep it simple. Dessert was also excellent. Value: This is a NICE place. It isn't Michelin Star tasting menu level of expensive, but this is date night. This is special occasion. This is birthday dinner. This is celebration of a promotion kinds of value. Bring the wallet, spare no expense and truly enjoy yourself. Something Extra: I can't say enough good about this place, but here's what restored a little bit of my faith in humanity... Word got around the restaurant of what had happened to our family recently and that today was my parents' actual anniversary. At first, an anonymous guest paid for my drinks, which I was truly thankful for. Then at the end of the dinner... someone else paid for our entire meal. We were so grateful and wanted to thank these people, but they didn't want the attention since they did it anonymously. This speaks volumes of the kinds of people who dine here and represent the restaurant as a whole. Thank you to those who took care of my mom and I that night during a dark time in our lives.
My first time to Detroit and Nadiyah was the best server I had! She recommended great apps and drinks! Was super sweet and attentive! I would ask for her again and again when I come here! Amazing!
One of the better locations in downtown Detroit inside the grounds of Campus Martius . Water fountain right out door and great view from inside. Seating inside is spacious with very nice layout and decor. Menu has great options and nice wine list. Patio outdoors has covered umbrellas and can really feel the city vibe on a busy day. Clean bathrooms with lots of parking within the streets, that surround the park.
This is a 10/10 experience. The food was excellent, while that is to he expected at a high-end restaurant such as Parc, they truly took it to the next level. Their oysters are the best oysters I have ever ate, better than Eddie V’s. The New York strip was cooked to perfection, garnished and seasoned well. My girlfriend’s halibut was delicious as well. Sean R was the best server, very attentive, offered great recommendations, and was overall pleasant. I will ask for Sean to personally serve us the next time we come!
Third positive visit here! We had a great evening! Like our other visits, the service, atmosphere and food were wonderful!
From the moment we arrived at Parc, Mina and Nick set the tone for a flawless evening. Their warm welcome and genuine friendliness made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. We were seated in a lovely booth overlooking the patio, and our server delivered impeccable service attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly timed ensuring every detail of our meal was exceptional. Thanks to the entire team, the night felt special before we even sat down.
Parc is such a vibe! I've been a few time bit most recently went on Father's Day. They had the the folding wall open so it let all of beautiful Detroit inside of the restaurant. I ordered the Short Rib Chilaquiles and it was beyond good! Originally I was worried because it had a sauce that came with it that could be too spicy for me. It wasn't spicy at all...it was a great smoky barbecue sauce that added the right amount of flavor to the dish.
Didn’t get the bartenders name but he was amazing last night. Defiantly need reservations but we still enjoyed ourself at the bar great service great drinks. Again the bartender was amazing !! Very honest about his favorite picks off the menu, favorite drinks very great service from him !
Parc is a gem in the heart of Detroit! I stopped by with a little time to spare before my flight and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The location is unbeatable—right in Campus Martius with beautiful views. The staff was super attentive and welcoming, and the food and drinks were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is chill yet refined, making it the perfect place to relax. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the city!
Such a fabulous experience! Went for a birthday dinner before a Tigers game. Came for the atmosphere, will be back again for the food and service. Everything was perfectly prepared and presented. Our server JD was the kicker, he was so kind, personable and attentive. Not to mention the birthday dessert he provided for us! We will definitely be back!
The food was delicious absolutely delicious and tasteful. The vibe was awesome awesome. Didn't know there was a jazz concert so we lucked up! The view was amazing. The wait staff was very attentive! We sat outside on the terrace, which was facing directly toward the fountain, I think they may need to add candelabras for evening dining for the outside tables...$$$$. But you can expect that from being downtown. It was worth the experience We had an awesome time.
The restaurant is located in a beautiful park and at the center of Detroit. I ordered the bolognese al forno pasta and it is amazing
I really enjoyed it at Parc today. Everyone was super nice. Great atmosphere and the way we were sitting it was an indoor/outdoor experience! Our server Adam was the greatest and the young ladies that seated us was awesome too! The manager came around and checked on us and was so nice. Will be back again soon!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 We celebrated my wife’s 40th birthday brunch at Parc today, and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. The moment we walked in, the ambience set the tone—beautiful views of Campus Martius, a warm, inviting atmosphere, and that upscale-but-comfortable vibe Parc is known for. Our server, Nadiah, was absolutely amazing. She was attentive, professional, kind, and genuinely added to the experience with her energy and care. She made us feel taken care of in every way. A huge thank you as well to Billy, the manager, who went above and beyond. His presence, hospitality, and constant smile made our celebration feel personal and special. He checked in on us multiple times, made sure everything was perfect, and treated us with the kind of attention and grace you rarely see anymore. The food was fantastic, the service was top-tier, and the entire experience was unforgettable. Parc made my wife’s milestone birthday brunch something we’ll remember for years. If you’re looking for a beautiful dining experience in the heart of downtown Detroit, this is the place. Highly, highly recommend. ---
Just an all around amazing experience. We went to Parc prior to an evening at Spamalot. The cocktails were out of this world. Great and unique! The food was amazing! The menu is fabulous and the biggest difficulty was figuring out what to eat as everything looked amazing. Highly recommend as a great place to eat downtown. Will definitely be back.
Best short ribs I’ve ever had — perfectly tender, packed with flavor, and cooked to perfection. The food alone is worth coming back for, but the service made it even better. Nadiyah was amazing — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, with great recommendations and a genuinely warm vibe. An outstanding meal and an even better experience. Will definitely be back
We made our first visit to Parc during the holiday décor season, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. From the warm greeting at the door to the very last sip of coffee, every moment of our experience was exceptional. The staff was welcoming and attentive, the space was spotless, and both the drinks and the food were outstanding. We enjoyed our visit so much that we returned just two days later—this time solely for dessert. Parc truly impressed us on every level.
Being in customer service/hospitality industry I find myself underwhelmed with today’s customer service. Alex WOW! Approachable, listened and CARED he made the crafted drinks with love, that’s for sure! Anisa her bright smile made sure from the moment we sat down we had all we needed and understood the menu to its entirety. Thank you Alex and Anisa you both are amazing people and great at you job, keep it up! 👏👏
Very elegant atmosphere and attentive staff. We enjoyed the roasted halibut and a nice glass of white wine. Our bartenders were so kind and informative.
Parc is the kind of restaurant that understands the full dining experience, not just the food. The interior is stunning, especially in the evening when the lighting softens the space and the window wall frames the city beautifully. Service was attentive but never intrusive. We ordered the grilled octopus and ceviche to start, followed by the braised lamb sugo and bolognese. Every course arrived at the right time, which is something I really value.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Parc in downtown Detroit. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant, elegant, and welcoming. The perfect setting for a great meal. A special thank you to Billy, the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect as we were celebrating a 40th bday! His professionalism, kindness and attention to detail truly elevated the entire experience and made us feel genuinely cared for. And our waitress Nadia was simply outstanding, warm, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She made excellent recommendations and ensured our table was always taken care of without ever feeling rushed. Her service alone would make me come back. Parc continues to be one of my favorite dining spots in Detroit, and this visit only reinforced that. Highly recommend- I cant wait to return!
First time in Detroit and WOW. Sitting inside with the view of Campus Martius felt like such a “city moment.” The roasted oysters were amazing and the Parc Star Martini was a little too easy to drink. The roasted halibut was perfectly cooked and the sides were great. The dining room atmosphere is beautiful at night....
So this place had some pretty good food. It seems to be lightly seasoned and it has a lot of unique menu items or regular menu items with a twist. Not strange but jut enough to add flair. The octopus they served really stood out to me. We Centreville our anniversary this day. It was nice.
Server was amazing and attentive. The food was just meh…. Looks wonderful but the baked pancake was a little under done and chewy. The steak skillet was extremely salty. No other flavors just salt. The drinks though beautiful didn’t really wow me in anyway with flavor either. Though the bubble effect in the one was cool. Though I’ll you still get to see the fountain and the place is beautiful. Would perhaps try it again in the future as nothing was horrible. Just not the experience you hope for out of “fine dining”.
Delicious holiday lunch. Service is impeccable and spot on. Only drawbacks for me are the tables are very close together, no coat room which is a challenge for winter coats and it got distractingly loud. Meal was spot on!
Walked in when very hungry, no clue what to expect. Benedict was good taste, just the Italian influenced food was a bit salty or plain but tasty. environment was top notch. Will comeback to try others
This is a steak house. We went for happy hour before going to see a musical. The truffle fries were so good. Infact so good we got a second order. Also tried the lamb meatballs, and the CHARRED burrata...that was a close disaster the fire container fell off the waiters plate and rolled under the table right in between my legs. If I didn't pick up my dress quickly, I'm afraid it was caught on fire. The drink selection wasn't extensive and the only way to get a coffee was to order a hazelnut buzz. Which is an alcoholic beverage, and was delicious but the other mixed drinks were sweet. I would stick to the wine which was also very good. The salmon was ordered as well as the chicken and some steak tips and we all tried the different salads: a Caesar and a house. Nothing to exicting to write home about. Dessert was way over priced. Be careful when checking out. We had drank a bit so we didn't look closely. No happy hour prices were given. We had reservations at 430. Happy hour is listed in the Detroit happy hour or Tuesdays 4:00 to 6:00. My sister paid the bill so she's reaching out to them to see what had happen.
Overall pretty decent. It’s pretty upscale and service is nice. Just wish I had more water refills lol. On a serious note, the food is good, but not great. The shrimp fra’diavolo was delicious, but the steak skillet was very, very salty. Additionally, the beef tacos were oily, and the Hugo lamb wasn’t really warm. It was a good experience, but just don’t get the steak skillet. Way too salty
This was my first time visiting and the service and ambiance were great, but the food honestly missed the mark for me. We came for happy hour and tried a variety of things. Unfortunately, the food looked really good but I found that depth of flavor was consistently missing across the dishes. The sliders are good, but the bread crumbled at the first bite. The ceviche lacked enough citrus in my opinion. The drinks were the star of the show, I loved the presentation and taste. The truffle fries were also very good.
I had a friend come from out of town. I was looking for some delicious food in the down town area. She had a burger, I had pasta. So the food looks good in photos but the burger was so plain. The pasta was ok. When we got there someone had just sprayed something in the air so there was a smell lingering that made it hard to enjoy the experience.
We had a nice experience in terms of ambience, however, there was a lot to be desired, generally speaking. Service was great, and I thoroughly enjoyed my Cocktail and the raw oysters. The Caesar salad was lovely as well. Unfortunately, the filet for $58 was quite bland. No bernaise sauce was available, and we were considering the cheesecake for dessert, it didn’t come with raspberries, their coffee machine was broken, and they didn’t have sugar cubes for a champagne cocktail. We have had better experiences in the past, so it’s too bad this occurred. At least the company was nice.
Very nice service and ambience, but the food wasn’t amazing and was very expensive. My short rib was well overcooked and almost inedible dry, though the Yukon potato mash with it was delicious. Disappointing given this was one of their recommended dishes and $46. The scallop that I added for $11 was unbelievably salty too.
I really wanted to love Parc. The location is perfect—right in the heart of downtown Detroit. I started with a cocktail, and it was great. When the food arrived, it looked fantastic, but unfortunately, that’s where the excitement ended. I ordered the halibut, which was cooked well but lacked any depth of flavor. The only real seasoning came from an overpowering amount of black pepper on top. My wife had the spicy rigatoni, and it was equally underwhelming—also heavy on the pepper, and not what you'd expect from a $40 pasta dish. Maybe we caught the kitchen on an off night, and I’m open to giving it another try. But for now, I’d only recommend Parc for drinks and the view.
Its too bad that this place in the middle of Detroit where there is hardly any free parking that we have to drop $15 on 3 street tacos. $13 for a small cocktail. Noone is going to stay for more then an hour. 1. Meters are a 2 hr. Limit and a 10 min walk back to the car at times. 2. Only the wealthy could afford a couple drinks and a suitable dinner. We enjoyed the 313 Cabana which is owned by PARC. It would have been nice if your advertising a taco & trivia night to have BOGO taco's and half off margaritas. No specials. Just a ploy to get people there. 1 drink, 2 pops, fries, tip, tax = $65 only tipped 18%. For what? We had to go get our own drinks. No table service! Up & down steps with flip flops bc its a beach theme holding drinks is not ideal. Why not open the actual bar that is on the 2nd floor?!
We made a 5:30 reservation at Parc on Jan 30 to accompany a night on the town, and a show at the Fisher. Although we were a couple, we were seated at a four-top next to the wine display which gave us extra room. The drinks were good, and the bacon appetizer was nice. We placed our entree orders and anticipated short rib for her, elk for me, with a side of brussels sprouts to share. I'm not sure what happened in the ensuing hour and five minutes. We barely saw our server, except for a drink refresh, in which, my cocktail had visible pieces of pepper seed floating in it... When the plates arrived my wife was served chicken, not the short rib. My elk was cold. It had been cooked. But it was likely sitting in the window for 20-30 minutes cold. They brought out a fresh short rib for her. At this point it was 6:55, and the show we booked was at 7:30 and we had wanted to take a walk downtown. Rather than complain, we payed our bill, and left with just enough time to get to our seats. In reflection, the restaurant was lovely, but the absent-minded service and poor attention to quality really give me pause as to whether I would return or recommend this to friends and colleagues.
Normally, Parc is great. But recent visit, not so much. Appetiser arrived just before they brought out our entrees, 2 dishes were cold when served. Our server, was absent and didn’t seem to care about the kitchens poor timing. It wasn’t busy - just 5-6 tables and overall very disappointing. At this price point - they need to do better.
I visited detroit downtown first time and had lunch with my daughter. She worked around so she wanted to go and review was good. Great automosphere and staff was nice. But honestly food wasn’t. Food presentation looks so yammy but taste wasn’t. We ordered lamb pasta and shrimp pasta but way too salty. Taco wasn’t authetic at all. I almost tried to ask something wrong in Lamb pasta because I felt like chef mistakenly pour salt bottle but didn’t ask. I’m not sure other food also salty but shrimp pasta also very salty. I ordered appitizer and brussel sprout for side and it was only taste okay.
I visited Parc a few days ago. The experience started with outdoor seating near the fountain. The same fountain I watched 2 homeless men take a swim in during the duration of the meal. I didn't really mind that. Service was good. The food really missed the mark. It did not taste clean at all, that's the best way I can describe it. It didn't smell great either. The *flavors* were sloppy. Not a lot of cohesion. The one item that met (and maybe exceeded) my expectations were the truffle fries.
We made a reservation for 6 people. We were shown our table right away and we were 6 women in our 50’s. Our waiter was not great from the time he first walked up to our table. Rude and dismissive. There were very few people in the restaurant as it was super cold outside. This is our second time here and after the first time, food not great, we decided to give it another chance. We ordered a variety of the food, there were maybe 2 dishes that were actually good, Burrata and Arancini. Salads were even just ok, dressing not great. I’m surprised they keep getting good reviews. For the money you spend here, it’s not worth it, the location and atmosphere are great and that’s about it. Oh and they added a 20% tip onto the bill automatically and he was awful!!! Won’t be back.
The food here is genuinely good, and the staff clearly care about their work. However, I won’t continue to support a business if management doesn’t take employee safety, dignity, and workplace misconduct seriously. Restaurants should be places where ALL staff, especially women feel protected, heard, and respected. I hope leadership takes real steps to reflect on this.
