The Taste Denton Reviews
Ok another place people in Denton HAVE to go to. This is in Denton by UNT. Small mom and pop Korean place called THE TASTE. We finally went and it was so good! Wife got a Korean bbq box and I got the sizzling bibimbap. The rice in the bottom gets toasted. Tasty!!!
Rlly like this place. The food is yummy, feels authentic, and the staff is very kind. Usually I get the tteokboki, ramen, and bibimbap (sorry if i butchered the spelling lol). They r rlly good. 100% recommend.
Had the spicy bulgogi pork and it was so flavorful and spicy! Love this place so much, can’t wait to come back! :)
Very consistent and delicious throughout years. Quality stays perfect. One of my go to comfort food spots. They're always so nice and considerate about custom dietary asks.
This is the kind of Korean restaurant I’ve been missing out on since moving to Flower Mound. This is the perfect mom & pop, hole-in-the-wall type of joint. The prices are amazingly reasonable and the food feels like my childhood. There aren’t any of these types of Korean restaurants in Carrollton. Instead of driving 30 min there, I’m going to do the 30 min drive here. Tons of variety, food made with love, my family loved eating here. I’m sad it took so long to discover this place. I’ll take more pictures of all the foods in the times we come in the future.
Very good authentic Korean food. I've eaten here several times. And the cucumber kimchi is WONDERFUL. And the spicy beef bulgogi is outstanding!!
My husband and his co-workers eat here every Friday & always rave about the food. I finally got to try them out - every dish was amazing. The staff were very polite & the atmosphere is quaint & clean. A must try when you are in Denton!
The Taste never disappoints! The service is always outstanding and food is phenomenal and decently priced with generous portions. The owners are very lovely people and always greet with a smile. It has become my favorite place to go as a student at UNT it’s so conveniently placed near campus! I love their attentiveness when ordering takeout as well, everything is always packaged with care
I ordered chicken bulgogi with fried seaweed roll and it's soo good and delicious. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for yummy food. They also have snacks and korean ice-cream for my dessert cravings after meal. Had a great meal after a long time. The owner is also welcoming with a smile and the seating is also good.
I've come to this place over the years. Love the family vibe, the staff are so kind. Not a ton of Korean food in Denton, so it's kind of a little treasure. We got beef and chicken bulgogi and fried dumplings today. Loved all of it, and the banchans. Diverse drink options, and my friends and I had a great time. We weren't rushed at all, and want to keep coming back. Not busy when we went, parking lot is small but the place is cute and worth even a small walk!
The beef bulgogi was GREAT. Super flavor ful plus they give you a huge portion! Everything was fresh besides the kimbap.
We've been looking for authentic Korean food since moving here and this place is pretty good. So far the Bulgogi was good and the Bimbimbap as well, although on the bimbimbap the egg was over cooked on mine and I wish the bulgogi had bit more sauce to it for the rice. We've been twice and I'm looking forward to trying more things on the menu here. Parking is kinda limited/difficult here.
Wanted some Korean food and decided to give this little place a try. Very casual, no fuss place. The kimchi soup and mackerel set was delicious. Didn't ask if they could adjust the spiciness so dont know if that's possible. I think the spice level is for a more american palate. I really enjoyed my meal. My family said they also enjoyed their undon and spicy seafood ramen.
Tiny restaurant with small seating area, limited menu , some dishes are good tasting and some are not so great. Limited staff and self serving type of service. But the prices are little too high for the service and food provided. Quality of food : 6 Taste and essence : 7.5 Presentation & Service : 5.5 Hospitality & Environment : 6 Price-value : 5 Cleanliness : 7 Red’s Final Rating : 6/10
Molded egg on top. Tried to convince me it’s from cabbage. I worked at a Korean reatuarant before, they have these eggs prepped before hand. Manager told me they made it same day, cashier told me they make them and put in fridge. This happened before but I only noticed the second day when it had spread to the other food. Be careful and check
