La Patrona Tacos Diego Leño Reviews
The food was ridiculously good. Straight up Mexican mom’s cooking. The gorditas were freshly made and the fillings were perfection. Very cute spot to grab food before or after the casino, or if you’re on a road trip. I forgot to take pics before eating because I couldn’t wait!
New Mexican Food restaurant near Winstar owned by folks from Durango, Mexico. Food is authentic, fresh, and reasonably priced. Wife and I tried for first time today and loved what we ordered. We had three gorditas, rajas con queso, desebrada, and chile verde. All three were delicious. First bite of the chile verde took me back to Mexico. We also had the breakfast burrito. I asked for huevos a la Mexicana with sausage and it was the bomb. They added Mozzarella cheese and it was my first time trying this combination, but I loved it. Who would have thought cheese with eggs tasted so good. Green and red salsas were both good. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
The Pastor taco plate was excellent and authentic. The rice and beans were very fresh considering I was there just before closing time. This is a small family owed restaurant and deserves to be checked out. They are still decorating is why the atmosphere was 4.
Stopped here with my friend when we were around Gainesville, and this is definitely the best most authentic Mexican restaurant in Gainesville! The gorditas are amazing!! I left this place full & still craving more ! I can’t wait to be back soon & the service was great
You could easily miss this little Hideaway on the freeway if you didn't look for it or map it. It's nothing fancy. You order at the counter and sit inside, outside, or take to go. They will make your choice any way you prefer. I ordered 2 corn tortilla chicken tacos, a-la-cart and added avocado. Hubby had Taco Dorados which is deep fried tacos all the way.
The Gorditas here are top tier like no other my favorite has been the barbacoa and rajas con queso I also got a torta that came with fries best Mexican restaurant in town hands, down they are a small family owned business ‼️‼️😋😋😋 will definitely be coming back‼️

Very good, very good food and good service fast and caring .
We tried the burrito, gorditas, and taco’s all were very good and the rice and beans were well above average. Our nine year old says “The burrito was extremely good!” The Guiso rojo is worth trying.
Nice hidden gem. I had the breakfast tacos and they were delicious. Their green salsa is the best!
This a family owned establishment. The family went out of their way to help my wife after she broke down from a bad alternator. They are extremely nice and respectful so naturally we had to try food as well! The food was made fresh and fast! I will continue to stop and eat here to say thanks and enjoy delicious food !
The food was delicious and fresh, with great flavor and good portion sizes. The service was friendly and quick—they made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was cozy and clean, with a nice vibe that made the experience even better. I would definitely come back!
f you’re looking for the BEST gorditas in town—look no further! This hidden gem serves up flavor-packed, authentic Mexican gorditas that will make your taste buds dance. Every bite is perfection: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and stuffed with delicious fillings that taste just like abuela’s cooking. The salsas are fire 🔥 (in both spice and flavor), the staff is warm and welcoming, and the whole vibe is cozy and full of heart. I’ve tried a lot of places, but nothing compares. Do yourself a favor and GO. These gorditas are the real deal. 💯
The food was good. The owner came out and visited with us. He said they had been open for about two months. I rated it down only for appearance. The people, food and service were excellent.
Went on a recommendation. So glad I did! The food was excellent. The salsa/hot sauce was super delicious. I will come back!!!!!! It’s worth it!

Very good Mexican food. Tacos and gorditas were very tasty. Not just regular tex-mex. Ordered 70 tacos for guys at work and had them ready very quick and they were delicious. Definitely come check them out
Stopped here on our way back from Winstar and I’m so glad we did. We had the bacon egg and cheese breakfast tacos and breakfast burrito, both were excellent. The service was great too, the owner made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend you stop by for some authentic tacos.

Food was good but felt judged.

This literally was the worst dining experience of my 57 years on this earth. First the dining area is small and cramped, 2nd the chips had a bitter after taste. 3rd salsa / hot sauce was watered down tomato peels that was also bitter without any flavor. 4th, the beef fajitas were like chewing boot leather and Itty bitty slivers of meat prepared about a week ahead time. Seriously!!! The worst food I've ever eaten.
