La Favola Domaso Reviews
We was there 4 days from a row every time delicious food and very nice service 👌 11/10
Very good pizza for a reasonable price. Although we arrived 45min before closing time, they were happy to have us.
My Wife and I were staying in Vercana for our Honeymoon, and we ate at this restaurant 2 evenings and both times were excellent. Food, atmosphere and staff were great. Definitely recommend La Favola to anyone visiting Damaso or the surrounding area.
Fantastic restaurant. Lovely service from Monica and team. Arabiatta pasta portion I found very big for myself (so delicious). My Son enjoyed a delicious margarita pizza, perfectly made. Fresh ingredients, beautiful view, great team!
Just want to say that we just had a meal with you after a long day exploring on the lake and sitting on ferries and it was honestly delightful. Just delicious! Carbonara was fabulous, lemon spritz was delicious but the star of the show was the tiramisu. Honestly the best tiramisu I have ever had! Thank you so much. Really appreciate the good service and friendly atmosphere. We speak the bare minimum Italian but the staff happily spoke to us in English which we appreciate and we can only apologise for not speaking better Italian. Thank you!! 5 stars out of 5. Only wish we could have more tiramisu!
We had very good starter fish of the lake. Pasta and gnocchi also were both tasty and they looked great. It is a really nice place for a dinner.

Food and service (friendly and attentive) was excellent. Mussel antipasti was so good we would go back just for that. Arribiata spice level was perfect. All desserts we ate (pana cotta, tiramisu and creme brûlée) were all delicious. Only downside is it is right by the road and a bit noisy but that is nothing the restaurant can control. I can’t speak about parking since we walked from our hotel.
The food was good. We ordered skillet friend potatoes and a veggie pizza, the Bumba. I wasn't mad or blown away by the pizza but it was better than other places we had on our trip. Our server was very kind and patient and took good care of us. The atmosphere IS nice, it is tucked away from the street enough to kind of feel private, but it's on the main drag so you get all sorts passing you up. Not the owners fault, but still noticeable.

Staff wasn’t too friendly as a starter but the pizza was ok. Just fine for a quick and tasteful pizza but don’t expect a warm welcome.
Staff were friendly and helped us find a table in the shade. Customers looked happy, and the pizzas looked fine. We wanted something lighter and chose the sea bass. The menu said that it came with soy sauce, but we were disappointed when our fish - one fillet each - came swimming in a glutinous sauce which drowned not only the modest portion of fish but also the slices of carrot and courgette. Unfortunately, in a town where we've had wonderful seafood, this was not at all to our taste.
Not as good as it used to be. We waited for 45 Minutes to be served (we couldn’t even order a drink). Customers arriving after us also served before us. Unfortunately, the food was not good either. The pizza and the spaghetti Bolognese were ok. The spaghetti carbonara wasn’t good at all and was more like scrambled egg. Also, I wouldn’t recommend the burger. Not great at all. I cannot understand all the good reviews. Wouldn’t go back there.
Fungi are from the can. No fresh ingredients. Very disappointing for an Italian pizzaria.
Worst Italian restaurant I have been to. Unorganised, cheap and the ingredients weren't fresh at all. Olive oil came in little plastic bags. No more comment needed.
Ordered 2 take away pizzas ( around €18) from here last week, just got home and realised my credit card has been charged £62.. Beware of the robbing scammer working the till !!! Worst thing is they weren't even that nice!.
Shame on you!!!! This 'restaurant' should be ashamed for the way they handle complaints. My pizzocheri* was abolutely drowning in cheese and fat (see photo). When trying to lift my fork with a bite, I lifted half of the complete dish cause it was all stuck together due to the cheese. When complaining the waiter said it was traditional and refused to take it back. When my husband almost finished his dish, the waiter came back to ask if I wanted a replacement, which I refused cause of the poor timing. The pizzocheri was on the bill, when asking to take it off, the waiter and her collegueas started to shout (!) at my husband, saying we are Dutch and don't understand what good food is. *pasta made with buckwheat, potato, savoi cabbage, cheese, garlic and butter
