Rigatoni's Dublin Reviews
reallllly good pasta for a reasonable price point. love the little bread bar. not super thrilled with the salad ingredient quality (simple premade salads, no salad bar). still 5 star. clean and friendly
Pasta sauces had great flavor, much better than most things at this price point. I really enjoyed the bread bar with 3 types of beead, balsamic vinegar and olive oil available.
Ive been to a different location and really didn't like the food much (I also felt like a number), however in Dublin, the food was AMAZING and the chef even came out to talk to us in the restaurant! Delightful experience.
I love the grilled chicken and change the pasta side for a house salad. And the endless bread baskets and soda fountain is great. Service is wonderful. It's a sit down meal with red checkered table covers.
I've been going to rigatonis in Hayward, castro valley, and Dublin for years. Good food, good portions, not to pricey. Tons of bread for shipping in the sauce! That's the best part! It's good stuff! Had this place cater a few work lunches too. Very affordable for the amount of food you get.
Great value for the price. Not fancy but the food was delicious, fresh ingredients, very well flavored. Staff friendly and polite. Highly recommend for a tasty no fuss dinner.
First time trying this place. Everything was made fresh, the dishes were bountiful, and the service was great. Super friendly staff. Food was delicious. We'll be coming back for sure.
Very quaint, charming little place. Nestled into a small strip mall on Dublin Blvd. Food was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Service was astounding. I never even knew about this place when I was living out in California (I have lived in Utard (a.k.a. Utah) for 17 years now) and I cannot wait to get back to this little gem of a restaurant!
I have only eaten here a few times a few years ago, but when I did, I seem to recall feeling like it was a fast food Italian restaurant. I do remember the food was very good and the food delivery time was quite reasonable. I certainly think if I was in the area again I would eat there again.
This place was great! We had great service and great food. They are very friendly and let you mix and match pastas and sauces. I definitely recommend!
Very nice and clean establishment, very reasonable prices. Good portions of food and the food is great.
Absolutely amazing little spot. You don't have a waiter. You order at the counter, and then they bring your food. Oil and bread bar too!
The Fettuccine Alfredo has always been a family favorite, but sad that prices have gone up since the first time we went a while back (expected due to inflation though). Would 100% recommend - all food is fresh made!!!!
I ordered a large event group order from Rigatoni's and it was an excellent experience! Food was ready on time, well packaged for transportation, and good quality. And for a decent price per person!
It's been awhile since I ate here, but I got my usual marinara fettuccine with mushrooms. It came out hot and fresh, and the two guys running the front were very nice. The whole experience is different nowadays of course, but the food and service is still wonderful.
My daughter and I had a great meal. The service was promt and friendly. We will definitely be back.
Got my food super fast. It was steamy and so tasty! Their free bread bar has a good selection of bread and the place was clean and had a homey comfortable atmosphere. RECOMMEND!
I have been coming to Rigatoni for over 10 years, mostly togo and recently had a few dine in experience. The food is great, and I have never experienced a pasta that is not cooked right, cajun chicken fettuccine is our favorite. The dine in experience is casual. You will have to grab your own bread and utensils, but it is cozy and comfortable.
If you want great Italian feel-good food, do NOT pass up Rigatoni's. Moved to Cali and this is one of my favorite go-to's. Service is great and food is incredible. Portions are well worth the price! I just love it here.
Love to eat here for the casual atmosphere, bread bar and good Italian fare. Love to order the combo, that is a half order of select entrees, Soup or salad and a drink. Just the right amount of food.
We ordered takeout from Rigatoni's Dublin tonight and it was amazing. It has been several years since our family has been here and the quantity and quality of the food is great. I highly recommend getting takeout or delivery from here...and do not forget to order garlic bread with your entree!
Nice place to eat after being hostage at the court house!
I come here every so often and love the broccoli chicken rigatoni. The salad pasta combo for $10 is not only economical but delicious. The service is fairly prompt (since most of it is DIY) and they have a good bread and drink bar. Never disappointed and always walk away full and satisfied. Good for families, quickie dates, and friendly get togethers.
Place your order at the counter, then choose a table. There is a self-serve area with lots of fresh made bread and butter. The combo meal with your choice of a main dish, salad, and drink was great. Portion sizes were good. We upgraded from the basic salad to the one with cranberries and walnuts. The cheesy garlic bread is very tasty. When we were there, it wasn't crowded or noisy. We'll definitely be visiting again.
I truly enjoy this restaurant! The food is amazing every time I go. They are efficient, and consistent. The fact that there is a bread bar with no limit makes it even better. Some olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, and fresh cracked pepper. Carbohydrate heaven!
Delicious food & Great Service. 💯
If you ever need last minute catering, call Rigatoni's! Obviously there is some limit to this but twice I've been asked to find catering within less than a day's notice and they've always worked out! Also a decent space for medium to large group meals.
Two words: Bread Bar! They have a little unlimited bread bar near the soda machines and it is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced in a little old Italian casual restaurant. I feel like Olive Garden should start doing this! It just makes sense. They had 3 or 4 types of bread, olive oil and balsamic on the tables, and plenty of butter. The service here is pretty good, it's very casual, you order when you first walk in and set yourself, plenty of room in the dining room. Staff did come to check on us a few times and our food arrived quickly. For a quick stop off the freeway when your driving home from SF in your friend's Tesla that needs a charge, this is a great little place. Walking distance from Tesla charging station. The food was okay, I enjoyed my soup and my friends said their pasta was good, they took home leftovers. And the bread bar---we were all delighted by it. I wouldn't mind coming back and trying some of the pasta. It's not fancy, but it is a pleasant little place.
LOVE this place. Amazing food whether you're eating in or taking out, I love the bread station and that my food is always hot and ready fast. I can't wait to go back. They're fettuccine Alfredo is 10 out of 10
I have had a lot of stuff on their menu, but I have fallen in love with the Asian Salmon rice bowl. I have had it twice it is so delicious. They have a few other items that aren't listed in the survey post that are very tasty. You should really check them out.
Our family is a regular patron at this restaurant. They offer great pasta and other entrée dishes. What I appreciate about them is their semi-service style; you order at the front counter, and they bring your food to the table. The restaurant is clean and organized, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Bread is complimentary, and the service is fast and friendly. Their pasta is always served hot straight from the open kitchen. I highly recommend this place!
Food was excellent. The portions were big. Had enough to take home for another meal. Bread bar was awesome. Loved both of the breads they were fresh. They also had oil and vinegar which I love with my bread. The food is cooked right in the open so you can see them cooking your food. All round a great place to eat. They did off a lighter meal with soup and a drink. Wish I would’ve see that sooner since I love soup. I believe they only had clam chowder which I love going to Italians restaurants to get minestrone soup.
This place is amazing. 1st timers from Maui. The process is so fast. U order your food, it starts to get cooked, when u sit, your salad comes out first. Mind you the caesar salad is AMAZING, so crunchy and the dressing is ono. They offer some delicious breads, the brown one being our favorite. We got our food, my fiance had the chicken parmesan and I had the spaghetti with meatballs, also AMAZING! We definitely will be back with our kids. Mahalo for ono food.
Food is really good, service is marginal. Prices have gone up about 40% since the menu pictures, it’s still worth it! We enjoyed the food very much and will come back.
Amazing food, generous portions
Picked up my old pal Flab ErrGassted the Jetway Strominizer for CBS at his bigass sommer house out there in Blackhawk, he'd promised me an authentic Italian dinner before he moves to his place on Key Biscayne Island where he spends the winter. He said "we're going to Rigatoni's Restaurant, it's the best" I thought... great I haven't been down to North Beach for Italian in a long time. So here we are, at Rigatoni's Restaurant in Dublin...WOW! The first thing out of Flab's mouth is don't let your first impression carry you away. I'll tell you what....the food was Spectacular, and the service was Amazing. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
The staff is friendly and fast. They have free bread, WiFi and the location is very convenient. I love the family owned feel…. It really set the scene.
Amazing, expedient and courteous service! Free bread. The lasagna was delicious and very satisfying

Ordered pasta pamodori and the chicken fettuccini Alfredo and they where delightful I enjoyed every bite and the service was amazing

I do take out often for parties...everyone love the rigatoni Bolognese
I do take out often for parties...everyone love the rigatoni Bolognese
Good place for a stop and eat at place good dinner options good selection of pastas and salads ordered the chicken pharm ahe a salad thankfully. The chicken pharm was very good but it was just that no spaghetti or any other type of side to go with it. So if you decide on the chicken pharm be prepared. I would order it again but with so.e sort of side pasta to go along with it. They also have a.all you can eat bread bar which is very delicious.
Menu on Google is wrong!!! Prices are old... Good food, friendly people, but they say they don't have control over the menu posted on this site (google maps). If you want current menu pricing you have to go to "their" website.
Well-priced, tasty pasta dishes with a fresh bread bar. It's a quality go-to Italian spot for a quick lunch or for an inexpensive (yet still delicious) dinner.
Excellent vegetable risotto....make sure to ask for this, when my wife asked for this I said to her, I don't see that on the menu board, and the they gave each other that look that said "I was not a regular customer." Had a blast from that moment forward.
Very good pasta cafeteria style. We are regulars. Can be a little pricey if you get beverages $30+
I enjoy the quick "Italian" food from here. It can be a little saucy for some but I enjoy having something to dip my bread in.
Food was good, but when a disabled patron choked and required the Heimlich, the owner or manager seemed too eager to get the kid and his mom out of the restaurant (which only had a handful of other patrons). The mother was just trying to enjoy a nice mother's day dinner with her son.
Not too great! The service is so and so…the food is so and so for the prices…and the atmosphere is bland! Definitely need to revamp the place, menu, and service!
Our go to pasta place. My son loves the chicken parmesan. My wife and I usually share the grilled chicken which comes with really good sauteed mushrooms. I normally don't care for mushrooms but I could eat theirs all the time.
Great pasta! Quick service. Prices have gone up. Here and everywhere! Had a nice dinner with friends. Caesar salad could have used more dressing. Lots of sauce on the spagetti.
Decent food, Saturday crew is OK at best. I've been to this location on a weekday and service was by far better. I will stick to weekdays.
I always like their food. The brown bread is the best - I wish I knew where they get it! The seating is good - easy to push tables together. Self serve so you get your food quick. Gets packed fast after 6 pm. Carry out is good. I'm a regular.
order at the counter and find a table. self serve beverage and bread selection. food is delivered by a person or a robot . this is a casual, informal place which appeals to me. If you want something upscale look elsewhere. They have special combo meals which help keep costs down.
Pasta dishes here are even better than those at fancy restaurants. They could do better with the breads and wines though. The atmosphere is mainly for families. They could play some music.
Seems as if the portions have gotten smaller. It may have been because I ordered the combo of pasta salad soda. Six fork servings of Pasta is not enough.
For some delicious pasta, a great place to be. We did order the Cajun chicken pasta, which was a bit on the tangy side as it had loads of tomatoes, wish we could have avoided the tomatoes. However the garlic bread was good hope it wasn't as burnt as it is. We were glad to get some extra cajun topping which helped with the pasta. Overall a good place for some good food. Will be back to explore other options.
After reading the previous reviews I was skeptical.. but I'm glad I went and had dinner here.. The dining room is very clean, I could not see anything that was bad on my visit..
Pay first family restaurant with friendly service. Had the Italian Sausage Fettuccini lunch which came with drink refills and three types of bread (balsamic vinegar, olive oil, ground pepper available). For around $11 after tax, it's not a bad value, but I would consider Sweet Tomatoes as an alternative (for some fresh greens/variety in addition to pasta/bread).

Really good pasta dishes, their steak is surprisingly tender and well seasoned. I like that you can see the chefs cooking while you wait. Very nice little Italian place with a decent amount of choices and good food. This is our go to when we don't want fancy Italian, and it has yet to disappoint us. As with all else, I wish the prices were lower but they do remain competitive for the area.

Average pasta dishes. Limited drink menu. Ample parking. Cooks tend to go heavy on butter. I had to request beforehand to use only olive oil. Bread not crunchy.
We went to Rigatoni's because the restaurant we actually wanted to go to was booked solid for Valentine's Day. Had a risotto; nothing to write home about. Maybe next time I'll stick with the usual fare of pasta and hope they do that better than any specials.
I paid over $40 for a tray of spaghetti and meatballs. The order was way to small with only 4 meatballs. I was very disappointed with the portions.
One out of three plates was good. lasagna came cold other play with dry. Manager gave us 5 dollars off next visit......anyone want it?
Seems like a fast food place. The rigatoni bolongnese was not what you would think. It’s pinkish sauce. A lil spicy. I didn’t like it. They promised me bread with my take out. NONE. check your order before you leave.
The wait for my pick up order is why this is not a better rating. My pick up time was 5:47pm on a Thursday. It is still not ready and it's 6:30pm. It was just a house salad and lasagna.
Eh. Not bad, not great. The man who served us was very cordial, but the food tasted like I made it at home (and I'm no gourmet chef). All the bread you could eat, but it was store bought. If you don't want to spend a lot of money and don't want to eat fast food, this place will leave you full when you're finished.
Regular Italian restaurant like fast food type no fancy atmosphere but they do not offer pizza just regular Italian food. Little overpriced compared to a casual restaurant like Romano Macaroni or olive garden
Ordered 5 meals, pasta was undercooked in all dishes. Soda machine not working, beverages had very little syrup. Staff looked tired, not smiling, but weren't inappropriate with our party. Just getting through their day. Bread was fresh & tasty. Wouldn't go again, very mediocre pasta. Wouldn't recommend.
A quiet place. Plenty of tables. Open parking lot in the afternoon on the weekend. Plenty of food options. However, the food is very basic. Like from a box. I would say maybe good for elderly people.... Maybe not kids because it's not cheap. My gripe is the guy behind the counter was on his phone the entire time we were there. He got off his phone to take our order and then he got back on his phone and was on his phone literally until we walked out the door. And then a guy from the kitchen came out maybe after cooking our meal and then he was just on his phone across from us at the counter..... I finally tried this place and I won't go back. I'd rather order takeout from some place cheaper than be in this place for zombies.
You get a full service experience here as opposed to a casual eat. There is a complimentary bread bar that you can help your self to before your meal. The food comes out pretty quick and isn’t the most fresh. However, the food does have a strong flavor profile which is a plus.
Efficient service, food was ok. They have self service bread bar

The restaurant has plenty of seating and very good parking. We reached here to explore based on its 4+ rated reviews on Google maps. However, we ended up on an odd day, i suppose, as They had warm beer. Wine glasses were without the holders and a bit cloudy. The garlic bread was too stiff. The cheese ravioli was average, the sauce in it was pretty tasty, but the cheese ravioli were not fully cooked. On average, it was a miss and not a hit for us.

Expensive for a chain pasta place. Quality of food is subpar. Kids were happy but an adult with discerning taste will leave unsatisfied.
Front doors full of fingerprints, handprints, and shoeprints like they haven't been cleaned in days. Marinara sauce was really watered down, more like marinara soup. Bread bar had 2 baskets of the same type of bread, instead of previous variety. Edit: 1/25/22 - visited again today - the marinara sauce was again really watered down. Service was friendly but the food quality needs some help.
My wife and I decided to give this place a try because of the reviews. But we believe that this place bought the reviews or owners have people giving this place a 5* because the food was horrible. We were glad that we order garlic bread and carrot cake. This is the only reason we gave it a two stars other than that lasagna was not good at all . the one frozen at costco is better in every single category. The chicken alfredo plate . the same So in another words if you are in the mood for italian food get it at safeway. !!
My lasagna cheese was sour. Told the waiter and she had no concerns. I won't return to this establishment.
Ordered in store before the rush at 5:45pm. People seated in the restaurant and many who ordered long after were already home and eating their meals by the time I got mine. Waited 30 mins before asking an ETA for my order and eating bread from the self serve bar. After an hour finally the order arrived. No utensils, and had to bother for more containers (as my date now running late for his appointment) to split the meal that was to be shared. Trust, I wasn't going to ask them to do anything else. It didn't seem like there was one manager in the building that thursday night. At least no one with adequate experience for the dinner rush. The food was alright, as any would be when hypoglycemia is triggered. Not that I expected a quick meal, heck wasn't even in a rush. But I sure won't be returning here without an online order to be ready for pick up. Even if I saw how many other people had to wait for their online orders, so this location it will be unlikely.
Ordered and sat down just to find out they didn't have either thing we ordered. Had to reorder just to be told if you don't see a refund call us back. They took away the free bread as soon as we sat down and started collecting and picking up the restaurant as we ate. Food was terrible!!!! Not fresh. Soupy pasta. I will say staff was nice and thats it.
Our first time there and first impression is very important. First off they need to hire a cleaning crew for the dining area and bathrooms. Prices are a little bit on the high side for the portions they serve, I would stay away from the Chicken Alfredo, portion was ridiculous for the price of $16 my daughters kids meal had more food than that. Don’t get me started on the taste, I’ve had gas station food that was better than that, the chicken had that microwaved taste to it and the Alfredo sauce was watered down. The only reason why I gave them 2 stars was because the server had to ask the manager to exchange my meal and didn’t charge me for the upgrade. To be honest I don’t know how they have 4.1 stars and how in the hell did they pass health inspection.
Very very disappointing. After reading a whole bunch "good" reviews I decided to go and take out. Very small portion plate of Spagetti-3 meatballs. You have to go serve your own bread that's the only thing they give. No napkins, no silverware, no cheese... no nothing. "Very Pricey" I paid almost $20. And tip because cashier has no fault. The spaghetti's??? ...just spaghetti Not exciting or surprising. Sorry, I think a franchise fast food would have been a better choice.

You shouldnt need to spend a fortune to have good italian food. This place has a great price point, but just isnt very good. This place was NOT as good as others have said it is. The pasta is no better than the cheapest brand at the grocery store, and they cook everything in such an insane amount of butter that its basically all you can taste. If you're strapped for time and cant swing by SAFEWAY just across the street to make your own pasta dish at home, then this is an alright option. But italian food can be easy to make on your own. Best Suggestion: if you have some time, avoid the lackluster food and make something at home.
Did not stay to even eat. Had to order off a menu before you sat down like a fast food restaurant. The cook staff and waiters outnumbered the customers. It did not look like an inviting place to eat so we left.
I ordered a pick up and they couldn’t find my order, then left out the carrot cake I ordered which my husband had to ask for. He came home and i found out that they left out the drink as well. I called the store and explained for 20 minutes and was told to call 800 number for a refund. Not a good experience
It's one star only because I can't give zero. We waited 20 minutes for a salad that was garnished with someone's hair. We sent the salad back and waited another 10 minutes for our pasta to arrive. The pasta sauce is so watery that you are splashed with it every time you attempt a bite. The bread bar isn't what everyone makes it out to be. It's bread, butter and oil and vinegar. The best thing about dinner? Our kids Mac and cheese was perfect, but that doesn't say much, even i can make Mac and cheese. Needless to say, we won't be back
Very expensive for a combo plate and the portions so small, I order Alfredo shrimp and mushrooms, you can count 4 shrimps, also you can count the slices of mushroom with your fingers, was en shock just draw the Shrimp 🍤 in your plate!!!!!location looks dirty, needs keep clean to offer better customer service
Horrible service. Online ordered the food. Fist. They missed a carrot cake. I asked and got it. Secondly, they didn’t give two drinks. I called and asked for refund. Talked a manager 19min, All he is saying was call 800 website to get refund. BAD SERVICE. No respect to customers
Wish I could give a zero. We came here quite often until one recent visit. My wife noticed a moving larva in her dish. Yes, a wiggling fat white larva. I took it to the "store manager" and she was helpless. It was a weekend and she promised her boss will call me on Monday. It's been almost a month now and still no call. Their food was ok although all taste the same.
Not going to lie to you first time today and will be my last the sauce was tooo I got the Cajun shrimp and Alfredo sausage very much watery not going to eat this spent 51$ on this & the food is horrible
Family and I paid a visit to this location and if we could rate it a zero star that would be appropriate. Had already ordered to dine-in when just as we were walking to the bread bar and beverage dispenser. A ginormous rat, runs through the entire bread bar to hide, right behind the beverage dispenser machine. As we were waiting for a refund the rat came out again. To the full view of customers trying to process the disbelief of a rat being so close to food they had consumed. Disappointing it was going to be our first time. Very hard to erase such images from our minds and memory. Full refund was granted will wait to see if it comes through.
I will strongly recommend NOT to get party pans or catering to go pans. We ordered food for 75 people and it was not even enough for 60 people. We ran out and had to order pizza. Their party pans are only half full when picked up, so when they show you the tray the food comes in, don’t expect it to be full to the top( they will tell you that it will be full to the top). If you are expecting 50 guests order food for 75 just to make sure that you will have enough food. Only one star because food is good.
Sorry folks, my recent visit was a total failure. Granted I ordered late in the day, but this should not of made a difference. The two entrees that I ordered hardly had the Garlic sauce. The other dish was lacking in the mushrooms and sauce. Where was the taste?..I had to add my own at home. The Garlic bread, very dry and again lacking in garlic butter. We were so disappointed as we have visited this restaurant many times before with no qualms. I returned the next day to let the manager know my concern and spoke to Dominic, as the manager wasn't in and left my receipt, my name and phone number with him. I called in today, 6/26/21 and the manager on call had NO knowledge of my visit. So now I'm waiting to hear from the OTHER manager to see what he has to say. Wish me luck!
Don't bother.. Ordered food to go and received a wilted salad and chicken that looked like it had been boiled. My husband ordered raviolis for $10.99 and received 5 raviolis. Looked more like an appetizer than a meal. The flavor just isn't there. The food is standard. There are much better places to spend your money.
Ordered the chicken alfredo which is simple enough to execute but the kitchen completely missed the mark. Chicken was overcooked and wasn’t even in the same room as any seasoning. The sauce seemed cream based and also lacked flavor. The thickness of the sauce was completely off putting. It ran off the pasta as if I dunked it in milk. The side of garlic bread I ordered came burnt. So it was obvious that the staff was just pumping orders out to get it over with. Portion for price was off on top of everything. I expected to get enough for a small lunch and light dinner but it wouldn’t properly cover one meal. The whole order would have gone back but I ordered takeout, so all of this was found out when I got home and I wasn’t driving all the way back. I gutted through the meal because of how expensive it was but I was less than satisfied to say the least. I wanted to love this place. I’m new to the area and was looking for a good pasta spot. This definitely wasn’t it.
The customer service was good. The restaurant greeted us with a pleasant smell of ingredients. The only problem was the fact that there was a rat near the fountain drink dispenser (near the bread bar). Please be careful since there was a live rat there!!!!
Ordered Rigatoni Bolognese cause apparently they’re known for that and it was horrible. There was no seasoning at all. It was worst than a frozen food. There was no meat and no flavor at all. I paid $15 for nothing.
