Upscale restaurant, reservation prefered. We walking in late on a Saturday night without reservation and barely got a table at the bar. Server's were plesent and very busy. Food was slow coming out as expected with it that busy. Salmon was cooked excellent crispy edge moist inside. Smooth red mashed potatoes Buffalo burger was seasoned well. Long beer and drink list to chose from

I went there twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. Very very good and fresh food, the atmosphere is very mellow and welcoming, the restaurant itself clean and neat looking. Both times the waitresses and host were attending our table perfectly, very attentive without being "too much". All in all hands down one of the best places I've ever been to.

This was easily the best meal I’ve had at a restaurant in probably a year. I have zero complaints and nothing I could even suggest to make the experience better. There was a group of 55 in front of us but the staff made sure to let us know immediately before seating us that the wait would be long. Due to the long wait they were providing free beer and offering an appetizer per table while waiting. Our server was great. He had an amazing personality and was very attentive to us. For our meals we got the pot roast and jambalaya. Best meals ever. 100% recommend going here!

It was my partner & I’s anniversary tonight and we wanted to make sure we picked somewhere enjoyable & comfortable. The Lyric checked every box we could imagine, the food was amazing but most of all we received the best service I’ve ever experienced from Alex our server! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice cozy evening meal, we will 100% be returning!! Thank you! 🙏

We had one lunch and 2 dinners and dessert, here at Lyric. Our meals were good sized portions and very flavorful. Dessert was decadent! The staff was attentive, helpful, and friendly. The environment was relaxed and comfortable. If we are in the area, we will definitely stop in for a bite to eat 🍽 and a glass of wine 🍷!

The service outstanding (Jackie was Great) and matched by an outstanding omelette. I had the build your own omelette and it was perfect. Great selection of soft music playing in the background. Just an all around nice experience.

They have to have the BEST chicken tenders I’ve ever had. The breading reminds me of a Good Friday fish fry, and the chicken inside is super moist and tender. I’m coming back soon for round 2! The chips weren’t my favorite, but the gooey cake made up for them. I’m a dessert lover and won’t recommend a dessert unless it’s worth the calories, and this gooey cake was epic! My friend ordered the lyric burger on a gluten free bun and the flourless chocolate cake and was happy with her choices too. One should never have to eat carbs and dessert alone. Parking is a hit or miss because it’s downtown, but the annoyance is worth it to get to the food!

My partner and I were staying at the Holiday Inn and decided to get breakfast in the morning before checkout. The restaurant was easy to find, having their own elevator button. Upon entering, we really enjoyed the layout and atmosphere of this establishment. We were quickly seated at our table, given menus, and ordered quickly. The food came out relatively quick too. We were very lucky to have Jackie as our server. From start to finish she was so friendly, provided great service, and really made our breakfast wonderful. Lyric kitchen is very fortunate to have this wonderful woman working here. We would definitely eat here again, especially with how big the portions were and how delicious the food was. I recommend this restaurant if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed.

From the moment I stepped into Lyric Kitchen and Bar, conveniently nestled on the first floor of the Holiday Inn, I knew I was in for a treat. For those who prefer non-alcoholic beverages, their extensive mocktail list is a refreshing surprise. No more settling for just a soda! But what truly stood out to me was their comprehensive breakfast menu – a delightful assortment that caters to every palate. And if you're a coffee aficionado like myself, you'll definitely appreciate the rich and aromatic brews sourced from the Duluth Coffee Company. This establishment is a gem in Duluth and is not to be missed! Highly recommend!

Food was exceptional. The salad portion was the biggest that I've literally ever seen, ever. The flat bread was amazing. All of it was amazing. I'm not sure how busy it actually gets there but we went earlier in the supper period, around 4pm and we were the only ones in that waiters area so we had exceptional service as well. Well rounded restaurant, 10/10 would recommend.

This restaurant is located in Duluth downtown, attached to a shopping center. We easily find some street parking across from the restaurant. The restaurant interior is simple and clean. Service very pleasant and attentive. For appetizers, we ordered amazing onion rings. Our martini was very good. We ordered Diablo bacon cheeseburger, power ball and oriental chicken salad. Their portion sizes are very generous.

I stopped by between lunch and dinner and it was a very pleasant experience. The service was attentive. The manager of the restaurant was ensuring all aspects of the business were conducive to a pleasant experience for the customers. The food was delicious and I will be back to explore the rest of the menu. Stopped back in today, ordered the chili and it came out drastically different today. Much better presentation.

Visiting this place was probably the first time I've been in a group where it took us all at least 5 min to just get comfortable with the menu. That being said, everything we ordered was great (except the Mac and Cheese Tator Tots. They were good, but lacked some flavor in my opinion). I had a Teriyaki bowl--the wuld rice was a bit odd, but the sauce was amazing and the veggies were cooked well. My boyfriend had the Cuban BBQ and it was massive and he ate every bite. The burger was a little lite on the side of fries, which were especially delicious which is why we noticed when they were gone so quickly. All in all a great place.

We had the best dinner experience. Brian was amazing. He suggested so many wonderful choices and we loved them all. Definitely will be back the next time we are in Duluth! (Onion rings, tots, chicken fingers and patty melt) all amazing.

Onion Rings were very good! Fettucine Alfredo was the best he had ever had. My Prime Rib sandwich was okay. Kettle chips were pretty good. Server, Brian, however, was probably the best server we had ever experienced. He should be at a Michelin restaurant. Super attentive even though the restaurant was busy. Also, extremely personable and acted as if he truly cared about us, as if we were someone he had known forever instead of random strangers.

Jane provided great service. Had a poor experience with a bartender the night prior but Jane earned that star back for Lyric. The balsamic garlic dressing was amazing, as were the Yukon Gold potatoes. Sirloin was cooked as requested but had a few unchewable fatty sections. Convenient location, prices are reasonable for the quality of food.

I only stopped in with colleagues during a conference to get a snack. The drinks were good, and they have a non-alcoholic cocktail selection. The appetizer sampler was great, much bigger than expected.

Absolutely loved our meal here. It was a nice quiet night. Food was excellent. Diablo burger for my husband and chicken Alfredo for me. Our server was Petra and she did an amazing job. And even better, she had amazing conversation to share. Thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely come back.

Brandon served us the first time and we had such great service that we went back again the same day and received just as amazing service from Becky. Above and beyond is an understatement when it comes to the amazing customer service. I will be back thank you.

Jackson was our server. Positive upbeat individual. Just a fun guy who did a great job. He made the difference of whether we'd come back...... well come back! I had the prime rib which was delicious. We would have loved to eat on the patio but that wasn't open when we got there. Maybe next time.

Food was decent , steak power bowl very good , New York strip overcooked but tender, and veggies quite bland. Kayla our server was great, very friendly and professional. Did a great job.

We had their dinner service on a Saturday night, the service was excellent. Our server was friendly and prompt. The food was very good and fast to come to the table. Reservations were easy to book online, the restaurant was clean and sharp looking.

Lyric in Duluth absolutely hit the mark — a place that combines top-tier food, great beer, and genuinely lovely service without trying too hard. It’s the kind of restaurant that makes you wonder why you ever bothered eating anywhere else. Let’s start with the service. Our server was fantastic — warm, attentive, and just genuinely kind. No beer pairing suggestions, but they didn’t need to. The beer list is stacked with enough excellent options to make even the most indecisive beer lover feel like a kid in a hop-filled candy store. But the real star of the show? The POT PIE. (Yes, it gets all caps — it’s earned them.) This dish is the culinary equivalent of a bear hug from someone who knows how to cook. Tender roast chicken, hearty vegetables, and a pan gravy so rich and flavorful it could probably run for office. And the crust? A perfectly golden puff pastry topping — not wrapped, not overworked, just perched up there like a flaky, buttery crown. Every bite was pure comfort. I’m not saying I teared up, but I’m also not saying I didn’t. Lyric has that rare combination of charm, comfort, and culinary chops that makes it an instant favorite. Come for the pot pie, stay for the beer, leave already planning your next visit.

A local recommended Lyric to us, and it was very nice. Our waitress was very personable, the food was great, and the price was right. Would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful breakfast experience we had this morning! Anna was our server and she was delightful. She served us with such kindness. The food and atmosphere were perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I'm giving 5 stars solely based on the customer service. Shout out to our fantastic server Brandon! My mom and I recently visited Duluth for a concert. We had an early dinner and after concert drinks at Lyrics. While Brandon was not our server the first visit, he recognized us later that day. He answered all our little touristy questions and gave honest advice. Thank you Brandon!

We stayed for 3 nights at the Duluth Downtown Holiday Inn & Suites for the wife to have same day surgery at St. Mary's (they kept her overnight). We were both stressed and exhausted. Because of this I just ordered room service from Lyric. My orders: Cajun Pasta - excellent, I thought I was back in New Orleans. French toast & sausage links - simple but good. Pot Roast - very tasty, great flavor, nice portion. Wife had: Smoked gouda cheese burger with fries - great taste, she loved it. Chicken dumpling soup (bowl) - perfect amount, great taste. Room service: All meals were hot and arrived at the promised time. Server staff was great. Prices are fare and reasonable. There is an upcharge for room service. The only minus is the Duluth Downtown Holiday Inn & Suites does not have a continental breakfast and both restaurants in the hotel are closed on Sunday & Monday. This may be the winter schedule but you may want to check. Just use the hotel shuttle to go out to eat, there are plenty of good places to eat within 5 minutes of the hotel. Our truck never left the hotel during our stay. Absolutely will stay and eat here again.

We had a great breakfast here yesterday! Our server Anna was very kind, the food was delicious (especially chicken and waffles). They were busy but not overwhelmed, we waited maybe 5 minutes for a table. The vibe was still calm, and it felt like a nice relaxing place to have breakfast! We would love to eat here again next time we're in Duluth!

I was surprised to see that this restaurant had a 4.1 rating — we had great service, food, and the atmosphere was great. Our waiter Brandon was crushing it the whole night and never let a thing slide past him. Great stop and open a lot later than most places in Duluth! The flatbread and shrimp pasta were great!

Satisfied hotel guest enjoyed everything about Lyric. Prompt breakfast service. Fresh cooked to order eggs Benedict. Our server Sheridan was attentive and fulfilled our urgent need for caffeine straight away. Nothing I didn't love about Lyric. A++++++ Highly recommended for guests and non guests alike. Thank you!

Wonderful dining experience. The server was very attentive, we went at 7pm and it was very quite. The cheese curds were very good, tater tots not so much. The catfish was great. If you’re looking for something a little more fancy with a variety of menu options this is the place!

I ordered a Cobb salad with blue cheese dressing, the lettuce was not fresh. The bacon tasted like it had been sitting out in the refrigerator for a few hours. It wasn't a very good salad. The salad had hard boiled eggs, bacon crumbles, chicken and blue cheese crumbles. There were no tomatoes and no black olives. I was disappointed. The cocktails were generous pours with delightful recipes. The wait staff was efficient and attentive.

This restaurant was located downstairs from the hotel we were staying at in Duluth. The server was friendly and the menu had some good options. The cheese curds were fine. I also ordered the ribeye for my entree, which was pretty good.

Ignore the bad reviews, this place was solid! I had the tortellini, which was unique and bursting with flavor. My husband had the New York strip, which was cooked well, but could’ve had a bit more seasoning. Drinks were yummy, and they had a huge selection! Service was excellent, and atmosphere was relaxed. Overall we enjoyed our experience!

We were In duluth for the weekend and we always try to find somewhere different to eat each time we are here. As burger fans, we read the reviews here and seemed pretty optimistic about what to order! We showed up at about 5pm (just in time too as the dinner rush showed up minutes later). The greet staff wasng standing there for a few minutes when we walked in, but then we were seated. The waitress was friendly but very awkward. Prices are about 15-18$ for the burgers. We both ordered one, along with jumbo tots for an appetizer. The tots came out fast, and they were actually really good. They were crispy, hot, and just really pleasing. The fries that came with the burger were borderline cold/soggy and we didn't even eat them. Now for the burgers... they LOOKED great, but apon eating we couldn't even finish them. The grease was overbearing, the plate was drenched in it and you couldn't touch anything without wiping your hands profusely after touching it. We were honestly sick to our stomachs. Maybe it was an off night, maybe burgers aren't their specialty, I'd just suggest another meal.

Our first time here, it was a rough start, our waiter had a moment (which happens) but great to see everyone rally to get tables seated and served. We had the Poutine..very flavorful, one of the best we have tried so far. We had wished the gravy was thicker, we like for it to cling on our fries. I ordered the Thai style Red Snapper, very flavorful, the rice was delicious, but the veggies were little too crunchy for my liking. Jodi, ordered the sirloin steak, she said it was tough to cut, dry, cooked right to her liking. The mashed potatoes were lukewarm at best, and hard, lumpy, and dry. She too agrees that the veggies were not done to our liking. The atmosphere was great, bright, and inviting. We would come back here again to give it another go.

Came in tonight (Monday) and I got two cocktails off of the spring menu and a Margarita pizza. The cocktails were fine but too sweet, I’d suggest asking for extra citrus. The pizza tasted okay but had huge chunks of tomato and a thick layer of cheese. I was not impressed. Maybe it’s fine drunk food but I didn’t really like it. The bar, where I sat was clean and it was a good atmosphere. The bartender, Patrick, wasn’t able to chat much but he was attentive and so sweet. I wish I could’ve chatted with him that’s my favorite part about sitting at the bar! All the staff seemed really nice with smiles on their faces :) there were a bunch of typos on the menu that I saw immediately which seems like a manger or owner issue to double check. It just seems unprofessional. The vibe was giving chain trying really hard to be local. I’ll give it another chance for the staff!

Ordered the terraki bowl, but didn't know that it didn't come with chicken. I ask the waitress about the bowl, and she mentioning nothing about adding it. I got it to go, so naturally I was disappointed because I assumed it was a chicken terraki bowl and it was pricey.

Our server was a delight! I enjoyed the Lyric burger but my husband was very disappointed in his Prime Rib. I have never seen such an anemic cut of meat. Cocktails were subpar as well. We have had excellent experience in the past but now it feels like gambling when we go there.

My wife and I have been here twice. On both occasions we had made reservations. The first time we we seated for a FULL 20 MINUTES before anyone even came by to take our drink order. We had already decided what we wanted by then (using an online menu because no one had brought us a real one) so we put in our order immediately. Even so, it was over an hour before we got our order, and other tables that were seated well after we were had already received their food. The food itself was fine, but forgettable. Last weekend we decided to give this place another try. Again, we had made a reservation. Again, we were seated for a full 15 minutes without a server coming to take our drink order or even to acknowledge our existence. A server stopped by the tables on either side of us multiple times and walked by without so much as glancing in our direction. Eventually we just got up and walked out of the restaurant. If a server had come by shortly after our arrival, apologized for keeping us waiting, assuring us that they would be with us momentarily, that would've been fine. If we had waited twenty minutes for a server to come take our drink order, but they had apologized for the excessive wait, and our food had arrived quickly, that would have been fine. Instead, we waited an absurd length of time for drinks and to place our order, we waited an absurd amount of time to receive our mediocre food, and the service was all together abysmal. We will not be visiting this place again.

My husband and I got there before peak hours like 7:45 am and ordered. 5 other tables with more people were sat after us but they got their food before us. We had to ask out waitress where our fiod was. Then it came right away however When we finally got our food it was luke warm and tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave. Very dissapointing. They offered to remake it but it would be a longer wait because kitchen was now backed up. Nothing else was offered. We had plans so could not wait. So we ate the sub par food. Horrible service for such a highly rated place. I guess we were just the unlucky ones of the day.

This was a doordash order and the quality was ABYSMAL. I understand their onion rings are hand cut and breaded but I've never had them look this awful and most of the food was overdone and some was undercooked. I had to go down to Lyric itself to complain and they didn't even offer to remake the good. All they said was sorry and of course we contacted doordash for a refund and doordash gave us 5 dollars back ...I might give lyric one more chance but lately it's been going downhill

Went in on a Wednesday night at about 6pm, upon walking in, I was harassed by an unhoused individual for food or something, no employees in sight of the entire restaurant to do anything. Then stood at the hostess stand before a member of the kitchen staff walked by and asked if I’d been helped and he’d go get the hostess. I was seated, the hostess gave me a glass of water and I sat there for 10 minutes with no service waiting and waiting. There was two other people in the restaurant… and I sat there with no acknowledgment. Finally after about 15 minutes of sitting there, a group of 6 came in and was seated and asked what they’d like to drink. I got up and left at that point. Eventhough it’s a Wednesday, no wonder the restaurant was dead and empty, don’t waste your time here.

I
Iris

Food was good. Drinks were mediocre. The wait times for literally everything was atrocious after getting seated immediately. The alcoholic drinks situation was frustrating considering it took 20+ minutes to get a drink after asking waiter and then you look at the bar and the bartender is just standing around chatting up people at the bar…

A
Andrew Luostari

One of the worst services I have ever had. We walked in for a late dinner 10/11 Saturday to be sat down next to a homeless lady in the restaurant with music at full volume from her phone acting absolutely belligerent. The waitress knew better than to sit paying customers next to a homeless person denying to leave the restaurant especially when there were several other tables in the restaurant further away from that so if I could give it zero stars I definitely would and it ruined my experience with the restaurant. Food was decent.

Waitress was incredible, food was great. However - whoever decided to remove their onion rings (100 out of 10) is an idiot. I want them back
