Thai Stick El Camino Real Reviews
Best Thai food I’ve ever had! Was in the Bay Area for work, and stumbled upon this restaurant. Had an appetizer of the pot stickers and Massaman Cury, and was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Portion sizes are great, and food had a ton of flavor. Will be going back every time we’re back in town!
Our second time here and the food was good again. The gai yang was so good with the chicken so tender. The rock cod fish with the sweet tamarind sauce was exquisite, and the texture of the fried fish with something that taste like bread crumbs was just so good to bite into. Service was great, good vibe, I like how they open late and accommodating for late nights from the airport. The owner is also always a pleasure to talk to, a charming, sharp and jovial fellow who has been in this business for 40 or so years!
Sawasdiikrap 🇹🇭 Delicious Tomkha I've been to Thailand 6 x See my past reviews - Definitely authentic flavors & great service 🙏💯 Recommend the Thai Stick!!
Garlic prawn was soo good, and green curry was very authentic. One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve tried.
Absolutely amazing authentic Thai food. Service is seriously the best I've experienced in a while. Not only was everyone polite, attentive but went the extra mile to make my 3 kiddos feel appreciated. A must to visit if in the area.
Love coming to this Thai restaurant. Great food and fast service. I always leave full and happy.
We weren't sure about having an authentic Thai culinary experience at this place at first because it kind of resembles more of a laid back pub for clueless foreigners, but boy were we surprised. We were slightly disappointed that the sweet and sour rock cod that was on the specials menu that night was deep fried, but the Tom Yum soup really packed a punch and raised some temperature ! The staff are also very friendly, great place for a late supper and hangout.
Somewhere down a lonely road you will smell the tantalizing scent of green curry. Come late and hungry. Sit at the corner table and chat up the server. This restaurant makes me feel like someone is putting care into feeding a 11pm patron. Also get dessert.
A great place for delicious and high-quality Thai food with generous portions, tasty savory meals, and great customer service. We only ordered take out but they were very nice. It’s now one of our favorite places for takeout.

Pineapple fried rice was great. Quick and friendly service. Thai iced tea was cold and refreshing.
I was a little nervous from the recent reviews, but it was the only place my friend and I could agree on. Arriving to find not another living soul besides the staff did not help! But the staff were so gracious, the place was clean, and the food, well, pretty good (excellent according to my young friend 😸), so I felt they needed a boost 🙌 😉 I would definitely come again!
Very good. Ordered kaprow (substituted chicken with tofu), fried rice, and drunken noodles. All food tasted authentic and good. Chef also came over to ask us about certain foods. Overall would recommend to people loving thai food, especially vegetarians.
Came here with a craving for Thai food and was left surprised at how delicious everything was! We ordered the egg roll, Pat Thai and cashew chicken and I was blown away at how delicious it was! The egg rolls were handmade, fresh, super crispy and the sauce to dip them in was phenomenal! The cashew chicken was delicious! The flavours of the tamarind and palm sugar shown through and complemented the dish so well. Even found out by the owner that all of their sauces are homemade and each order is made right then and there! Fresh! The Pat Thai was fantastic as well! Not like Pad Thai you get at other places. It was not overloaded with sugar, it was light and delicious! We met the owner who told us the place has been there for approx 33 years and the love for cooking and bringing authentic Thai food to everyone was their purpose. It made the dishes even better knowing it was made by someone passionate about cooking! If we were staying in San Francisco for longer I would go again and again! I HIGHLY recommend this place if you are looking for a non-fast food type Thai food and more traditional and made with so much love and passion!
The vegetarian Eggplant dish (stir-fry) here is delicious!

It is not a fancy place. But we l love the chicken larb. Their appetizer sampler, pad see yew and clear noodles soup and other dishes. I just never thought of giving them a review. We have been coming here for many years. They deserve to have a good reveiw.

New Review 2021: I got a takeout recently from Thai Stick and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of the Duck Red Curry order. The curry had quite a bit of roast duck in a base of coconut milk, spices and herbs like basil. I found the loads of chopped pineapple they added in the curry a bit strange. The spiciness can be customized from Mild to Spicy. Overall, it's a good experience. However, I must mention that the inside of the restaurant smells strange and unpleasant and would recommend a takeout or outside seating. Old Review 2017 : The food is pretty ordinary, however this place is open late into night, that's the best thing about it.
Ordered the chicken pad see ew ($12) and garlic shrimp ($15) for take out. Both tasted good but the shells were peeled off but still attached and they definitely weren't edible so I don't understand why the shells were even there to begin with? Really strange and never seen that before anywhere. A bit off-putting but not a huge deal

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Quickly got a seat and they stay open til Midnight even on Sunday's which is a rare these days. The place can use a little remodeling, like they have a waterfall/pond thing in the lobby area people would drop coins in that looks like it hasn't worked or been plugged in, in some while now. Not a deal breaker tho, if you get past that, you'll eat some really good food..

Nice quiet Thai restaurant with a friendly Thai lady serving you. The food is simple and tasty - nothing over the top.

One of the worst Thai food I have had in the Bay Area. The crab fried rice had almost no crab, and was tasteless. The restaurant had cobwebs all over the ceiling. Avoid this restaurant.

We called ahead to order take out and the phone went to voicemail twice, so we went in person to order. When I asked about this, The woman showed me an iPhone with two missed calls from my number, and apologized by saying she was really busy. There was only one family in the restaurant and they were already done eating - I'm not sure what she was so busy with. Anyway, we got a bunch of food and it was all really bland, impressively bad for Thai food - I've been to lots of Thai restaurants around the bay and this is by far the least flavorful food I've ever had. I don't normally write reviews but this experience prompted me to.
