Maple Leaf Lounge San Francisco Reviews
A very spacious and airy lounge filled with natural sunlight and stunning panoramic views. The outdoor patio is a standout feature and a rare find among airport lounges, offering a refreshing open-air experience. The food stations are impeccably clean and offer a diverse selection, while the bar provides an impressive range of alcoholic beverages. The calm atmosphere, complemented by gentle background music, makes the entire experience exceptionally relaxing and enjoyable.
Stunning airport lounge with fab outdoor patio & super comfy chairs to pass the time in between flights. Breakfast selection good, friendly staff & great showers. We were guided to this lounge by a lovely United person in the E gate UA lounge after I asked about shower facilities - which they didn't have. We are Star Alliance Gold & came in on a Star Alliance international flight, connecting onto a United domestic flight with separate tickets, but were allowed access to this lovely lounge in Terminal D. Definitely a hidden gem & one we'll search out again in the future. Awesome experience!
Very nice lounge with good amenities and a good variety of food and drinks. The best part of the lounge is the access to the terrace which offers amazing views over the runway.
If you are tired of the CC holding jam packed and lacklusted United Club lounges at SFO try for the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at SFO, and it's above and beyond better. It's more modern, less crowded, very large and in every possible way a better experience. The lounge offers Canadian-inspired snacks, food and drinks, the bar has many choices of wine and spirits. It's much quieter, spaced out and the staff are really friendly. spotless bathrooms, shower facitlies and business area. The real kicker is the outdoor lounging area that is an amazing perk at any airport. Getting in isnt exactly easy but if you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card and are flying a Star Alliance airline, you can access this lounge. Even if you're on a United flight, skip their Club and head here instead. Trust me, the Maple Leaf Lounge is a hidden gem at SFO. Definitely worth it
One of the better lounges I’ve experienced! Not packed, great outdoor patio space, and delicious sea salt coconut espresso martini! More extensive drink menu than most lounges and found the food to be better than average. Definitely my go-to in SFO.
It was very nice a lounge, could be busy at times, comfortable seatings, good selection of food and beverage, very good service. They offered Maotai, a popular Chinese liquor.
Best food I've had in a lounge. You can tell the chef takes pride in their work. Everything was flavorful and clearly freshly prepared. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Nathalie at the front desk. Outdoor patio is delightful to get some fresh air. Two showers available. Couple of enclosed meeting rooms. Overall an absolutely delightful little lounge.
Located in T2, this is a great lounge with tasty food options, espresso beverages, sodas and they have showers. You can also sit comfortably on the lounge chairs on the outside terrace and enjoy a great view of the runway. Plenty of comfy inside seating as well
I think this is one of the best lounges at SFO. I especially like the outdoor terrace with an amazing view of the runways. The food is decent and the staff is very friendly.
Amazing new lounge, nice and fresh, very well designed, spacious with plenty of room and privacy. Love the outdoor section, so unique for airport lounges where you can enjoy bit of sun on a nice day. Privacy working booths are also great idea, so you can take your work video call without disturbing other passengers. Good and diverse food selection with few vegetarian options. Nice bar as well with drinks and barista made coffee. Toilets are big and frequent cleaned it seems. Staff is very friendly and helpful, such a nice difference compared to other airlines. Well done !
Visited the lounge March 2026. Thanks to Paul at the bar it was an incredible and delicious experience. Protect the man at all costs!
I was pleasantly surprised that this lounge wasn't packed and had sufficient staff to keep the food choices stocked and the place very clean. The outside deck was unique and well designed - a touch loud - but I am at an airport. It is worth the experience to be outside for a little while and watch the planes. I was really suprised that there were shower amenities and they are great and very clean. There were two TV "rooms" and there are work areas with privacy. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The lounge offers Canadian-inspired food and snacks. Sorry the photo isn't great but I didn't want to put any guests into the shot.

One of the best lounge experiences ever. Ryan the bartender and his flamboyant espresso martini feature is a must. You will taste the layers of coffee and nougat and toffee just as he describes. Also try the spicy Golden Gate drink. Amazing!

Great lounge! It’s pretty spacious and has lots of comfy seating. I went in the evening, the dinner options were pretty good, as were the drinks. The outdoor patio is super cool of course, it’s nice to be able to step outside for a bit. The showers are a nice touch, plenty of space there. Staff are all really pleasant. Definitely one of the best Air Canada lounges I’ve been to.
A great place to relax and wait for your flight! It’s spacious with a good ambience. Food and drinks are quality!
Love martinis? Love espresso? Love artistry and craftsmanship? Then find Paul behind the bar at the Maple Lounge. The BEST espresso martini I’ve had with the added bonus of a poetic and dramatic presentation. Thank you!! Also, a lovely lounge with a great view of the runway and rooftop deck.
nice and cozy interior design. beautiful outdoor terrace. friendly staffs. clean rest rooms. have some cognac. food was not as good as other lounges. seating not very comfortable. I would give them 3.5 stars.
Maple leaf lounge simply has this unbeatable outdoor terrace. Nice facility and seatings overall. Food was quite mediocre though. Plain yogurt was way too sweet. The bar starts to serve drinks at 11am. Espresso martini was nicely made.
Really nice maple leaf lounge here at sfo. The staff were all super nice and helpful. The food here is tastier than that at the United club. The nice touch is their open deck overlooking the runway. If you are star alliance and making a connection at sfo you should pop in here.
I was here when it first opened, it was such a wonderful experience. Fast forward a year later still the same excellent service by the food Staff not so much welcoming at the reception as they were busy talking to each other and absolutely NO SMILES.. They represent the Company and should be more welcoming attentive. It’s the perception. The Lounge: Has 2 Showers, nice clean washrooms and plenty of sitting inside and outside space are just beautiful
3.5 rounded up to 4**** Nice lounge. Full bar. Lovely views. I'd say this place is more about the ambiance than anything else. I thought the food was not the best. While it was most definitely edible, I didn't bother taking pictures. I'm sure the food changes or rotates on a regular basis anyways. The setup is lovely; plenty of seating, heaters on the terrace to keep you warm if you wish to go outside. Plenty of plugs and outlets, private workspaces and the decor is minimalist but appealing. can't forget the restrooms, extremely clean & inviting. Cheers!

United Club requires an international boarding pass even if you have status with mileage plus. But Maple leaf allowed. The lounge was fine. Good options not that great but fine. Good cocktails and clean bathrooms. They are near terminal 2 on the 4th floor

Food is good, we arrived for the end of breakfast and the start of lunch, so we were able to sample both. Breakfast had lots of options, had the toast, eggs, potato and sausage. Lunch was porkloin with rice. Both were good. The nice thing about this lounge is that it has an outdoor glass wall patio that lets you sit in the sun and enjoy planespotting while you wait.
As a Star Gold member, I tried this lounge for the first time. There was very little selection of food. It's a nice place to relax, but only if the bartender would speak more quietly and stop telling her life story to anyone who will listen. She showed no respect for the other guests.
We arrived tired after a long trip, and when we got to the reception desk, a man who was working the afternoon shift on 02/26 very rudely told us that we could only enter the lounge starting at 5:00 PM. We came back at 5:30 PM, and a woman gave us different information, saying that we could only enter starting 3 hours before our flight. Each staff member provides a different kind of information. We asked what we could do, and we were told to wait sitting on the floor outside until the permitted time to enter. After a lot of difficulty, we finally got into the lounge, and it was a waste of time. There were only a few customers inside, but the food was scarce, with no replenishment, the coffee machine and the ice machine wasn’t working, there were no clean dishes, and the staff were rude. But the worst part is the company’s policy. I do not recommend this lounge. We ended up going to another lounge with extremely friendly staff.
