El taquito mexicano El Paso Reviews
What can I say; if you're hungry and have a little extra to spend on barbacoa, this is the place.
Local mom and pop Mexican restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. The food was unfussy, delicious, and very reasonably priced. This place is hopping at lunchtime and parking is limited. The interior is pretty basic but with some fun comic and movies paraphernalia on the walls. I had the tacos al pastor and don't miss the guacamole!
Been coming here for a while now and their food is amazing! It’s one of the best places to eat in El Paso. Most authentic Mexican food here. Better than most places here too. Staff is friendly and helpful. I love it here.
Food was made fresh staff was on point with service and all
Barbocoa tacos was amazing, bursting with flavor after taking a bite. Worth the money, and the chips were freshly fried with good avocado dip.
Hubby had the decebrada tacos🌮 I had the chipotle flautas. Delicious food!!! Excellent service by Natalie. She is very pleasant, polite, and informative about every dish. This was our first time at this restaurant. We'll be going back💖💖
Amazing experience. Everyone from the door to the line smile and say hello as you walk in. Service is fast and friendly, food is piping hot and plated with love. Highly recommend.
Wow!! Just simply wow!! This place is just extraordinary!! I've left reviews before but it's simply the best. Hometown whole in the wall just takes this place to a whole other level. Seriously from the waitstaff to the cleanliness and let me tell you about the food!! Not expensive and just simply Amazing!
Outstanding Mexican food! The tacos were tremendous - barbacoa, Santa Fe, and Pastor. Our server Natalie was so nice and friendly, and very helpful with recommendations. Would absolutely come here again!
This place has no frills but it’s legit! Their food was fresh and delicious. We had the flautas and gorditas and they were so tasty. We also had fresh lemonade and guacamole. The guacamole came out with homemade tortilla chips. And the salsas had some heat! Overall the food and service were amazing!
Such a good environment food is always good service is always quick and efficient. Love it here!
Best Mexican Restaurant in El Paso!!Amazing customer service, great atmosphere, delicious food and very reasonable prices! They also cater, highly recommended!!
Easy walk from my airport hotel. Stopped for a late lunch because of other reviews posted. I highly recommend this place. Family restaurant with friendly staff. Waitress suggested I try their new biria beef tacos with a side of beans and rice. Wow, what a great tasting meal. Tacos outstanding and their beans too. I’m Mexican and cook at home a lot and usually disappointed when I try Mexican restaurants. Granted, I only ate here once and you read what I ordered. I looked at other people’s plates to view the food and what I saw looked really good. Friendly atmosphere and good vibe. Highly recommended this restaurant
Delicious true mexican home cooking Need to come and try for yourself to see how good and flavorful and fresh the food is
Great food at excellent prices. Staff is friendly and accommodating
First visit to El Paso, and everything I was looking for in a local eatery. Price, super reasonable. Quality, top notch and authentic. Service, very courteous and efficient. They close early, so not open for dinner, is the only drawback, but I respect that....go home, take care of family, and not an all day daily grind. Can't say enough good things about the place, and looking forward to returning.
The food is freaking amazing! This was our second time back and it was just as good as the first time. Let me tell you there customer is EXCELLENT. The whole team is pleasant and they have such cute attitudes. The last 2 waitresses were Yesenia and Natatlie and they were so sweet and attentive. Even one of the cooks saw us eyeballing the food they were cooking and smiled at us and told us what he was preparing. The cashier was sweet and seemed genuinely interested if we enjoyed our experience. 10 out of 10!! We will be back.💗
Really nice, little place. It's a small place, but the food was really good. They have foods like tacos, flautas, milanesa, and others. I got the regular flautas and the were really good. The service was really great. Staff was friendly, nice, and on point with their service. Prices were also good. About $5-$6 for most plates.
It's hard to find a place that other than good food, offers good atmosphere and very friendly staff. The southwest flautas that I got were delicious, all in all, their food is delicious. Overall, it's a place I would definitely come back to to have a good lunch.
Absolutely love this place. Employees are so nice and friendly. Make you feel welcomed. Food is delicious whether you get a burrito to go or dine in its freshly made and satisfying.
Excellent food and service....Favorite breakfast spot!!
Evidently the last couple bad reviews were with malicious intent ! My husband and I come here every time he’s off! The food is always great! The service Is phenomenal. Jorge, Angel and Adriana are always attentive very personable they know us by name and our kids! I would definitely recommend to friends and family!!!!
Kind people and excellent food. A great welcome home after being away for a long time.
Best kept secret on Airway. Top notch food and service.
In a border town like El Paso, you expect good Mexican food everywhere you go. The trick is to find great home-style food and a cheap price. That is what you will find here. The staff is friendly and happy to answer any questions you may have. This food is as good as you are going to get on either side of the border. If you have room try some flan.
1st TimeR. My Uncle, Aunt and I hang out for lunch once a week. Friendly encounter except Natalie, hahaha. Great service and delicious food. Family owned. The love of preparing good authentic Mexican food is what keeps this resturant going forward. The taquitos Chiplote style was the bomb.
Came here based on the reviews and was not disappointed. Some of the best Mexican food we've eaten. Quick, friendly service too. The chips (served hot), salsa, and guacamole (prepared for your table) were amazing. Also really enjoyed the flautas and daily special (beef soup and mole). Highly recommended!
This place is awesome. Real Mexican food if you ever pass by, don't you dare to miss the Barbacoa gordita. It was so tasty 😋 , what I loved the most is that you don't get those massive portions that you are used to. It's a decent portion of what you ask for. The salsa is the best 👌🏻
Atmosphere: Popular, local Tex Mex joint, very casual Food: THE BEAN & CHEESE GORDITA WAS LIFE CHANGING!!!! So happy I don't live in El Paso, I'd soon be as round as it was. Barbacoa tacos were also perfect, flavorful with tender beef. My friend also really enjoyed her Ranchero Taquitos. A cold coke was the perfect accompaniment. Can't wait to visit again. Service: Very gracious and welcoming, despite the lunch rush. Pricing: $15.00 for 2
Food was served hot and fresh. Great atmosphere and friendly service. We tried the churro with cajeta...yumm!
What a wonderful mom and pop style restaurant! My pastor tacos were excellent! Possibly some of the best I've ever had. The meat is seasoned so well. Not too salty, not overbearing but still exploding with flavor. The refried beans and rice were pretty average. And of course, for a total of $8.16, you can't beat this deal. I'll definitely be back.
Recommended really good food, service is have nothing bad to say. Will be back on our next trip
We got to know about this place through an Enterprise representative just down the street. Everything here is fresh or homemade, and everything tasted much better than most Mexican food that I've had in Houston. The portion sizes was really big and the prices were really affordable. Our waiter took his time to understand our needs and even suggest things that we might like, which was awesome! This is a great casual place and I highly recommend that you check them out.
Landed in El Paso and drove straight away to El Taquito for breakfast. The taquitos here really live up to the hype and come out extremely fresh and crispy. The tortilla soup isn’t anything to write home about, but does the job. The real star of the show however is the melon juice and horchata that the offer! DO NOT leave without first trying one of these. They were so good that we had to get a 2nd cup to go!
Aloha... this is my 4th Mexican food place while in this area and now it's my favorite. Little whole in da wall that has some of the best tacos, torttas , burritos and so much more. The warm chips with guacamole is complimentary and so delicious you will want to keep on eating them. The staff is also so amazing and friendly you gotta stop by.
Great food. This was our first stop in el paso and we were not disappointed for wanting authentic mexican food. Never thought i would like it that much. Amazing food and service. People are great they even recommended us places to visit and festivals to not miss. Highly recommended restaurant. Absolutely loved their guacamole.
The staff are very friendly and the food is really good. The only bad thing about this place is the parking lot is too small. If you have a big truck and you want to park here you going to have too much fun.
El Paso...the food is wonderful. Amazing huevos rancheros and the barbacoa is lean. Staff very friendly and attentive. I walked in with my service dog and did not get"the look", they saw him and smiled genuinely and said welcome please sit where you prefer. Chuco, come eat well and get service with a friendly smile.
Small restaurant very mexican style feel. Service was fast and friendly even for a guy that don't speak Spanish (point to the spot on the menu). The fresh warm chips were delicious. 4 hard shell shredded beef taco's with rice and beans was just as a imagined (great). Didn't have enough room for the bean and cheese burrito so I had to take that home and it was still very good reheated. Food is great with a great value. I spent more but had a second meal to eat later.
I had heard that this restaurant had great Mexican food, so I decided to try it. It took me awhile to try the food. The first time I visited, it was closed because I wasn't aware of their hours. The second time, they were closed due a maintenance issue. The third time was worth the wait. The guacamole was spicy, freshly made and delicious. The tortilla soup had good flavor. My milanesa torta, not pictured, because it too damn good for me to remember to take a picture. My mother loved her tacos. Service was great and everyone was friendly. I will be back.
Casual spot easily walkable from the hotels in the area. Food was absolutely delicious. Had to wait a second to eat my chips and guacamole as the chips came piping hot fresh from the fryer. Strongly recommend stopping in. Super quick and friendly service as well.
Totally surprise myself by picking this for the team! We wanted breakfast but not my team's choice so I'm happy this one turned out great! This is a great find and I would definitely recommend going here! First time I've had a Torta and I liked it alot! That will be my option to try at future restaurants. The Guacamole was by one of the best I tasted! Chips were freshly made and were delivered to the table hot! The server and staff were amazing and always asking if we needed anything. Lots of memorabilia on the walls and worth checking out.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Clearly a local favorite. Flautas were amazing! Eat here and skip the chain restaurant across the street. You'll love it!
Ever since I found out about this place I make it a point to come here for breakfast for work. Their food is absolutely fantastic and well worth a quick stop for! I love their breakfast burritos the most. Please give this place a try, you will not regret it!
I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Every time I come in I feel like I'm walking into my own family's kitchen. Everyone is very friendly and attentive. The food is amazing. I get the chorizo con huevo burrito and I love it. I've also had the red burrito and loved that one too. The table side guacamole is so good along with their salsa. I highly recommend El Taquito. Some of the best Mexican food around.
Unbelievable guacamole. Everything is made in house. Friendly staff that came by frequently to make sure I was happy. I was happy. Definitely worth stopping again. Excellent food - stands above the most in this town.
Stopped at El Taquito for breakfast during our move from WA to TX, and it was such a great choice. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the whole place had that warm, local-favorite vibe. We ordered the flautas with chipotle sauce and the chilaquiles with half red and half green sauce. The chilaquiles were absolutely amazing. We added a runny egg since we couldn’t do chicken, and it gave the dish extra flavor and a good boost of protein. The flautas (which I’d honestly describe more as taquitos dorados) were crunchy and tasty. We liked the chipotle sauce that came with them, but we actually loved dipping them into the chilaquile sauce even more. Overall, it was a great spot to grab breakfast before hitting the road again for many more hours. Highly recommend!
Never have I left a review for any restaurant, this place actually lives up to the good reviews, food was out impressively quick even though it was crazy busy for lunch. I got my meal less than two minutes after I got my chips. Waitress was very attentive. Pricing wasn't bad either 14.50$ for this. Will be going again with others
First time here and it’s AMAZING! Definitely my new favorite spot. The food is from another world, so so so good! The staff is outstanding! Natalie is so sweet and amazing! She definitely made my experience here even better. Every staff is sweet and super friendly. We will be back for sure! LOVE IT!
THE FOOD IS SO GOOD, IT MAY MAKE YOU CRY! This was my first time coming to this restaurant. All I have to say is, you need to get off your (_|_) and come here IMMEDIATELY! The food is so mother-lovin good. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly. Natalie, our server, was extremely helpful. The food was exceptional! These are the BEST tacos I have had in my life. Order the horchata, you are going to love it. I cannot wait to go again. This is my go-to Mexican restaurant now! Thank you, El Taquito.
Little hard to find ,but well worth it. The lunch Specials are the best value (Comida Corida). The rolled tacos( flautas) are Very good .Had the chicken soup and flautas lunch special ,A+.. Place is small and fills quickly during lunch. Very reasonably priced! Fast service and friendly staff.
It's a small mom and pop place. The service was swift, pleasant, and attentive. I didn't use the bathroom, but everything seemed clean. I got the rellano with a warm rubbery flour tortilla. It was ok and the rellano was large but nothing was very hot aside from the tortilla. Probably will try another place nextime.
Always very good! Waiters super attentive. Just parking is crazy.
The cuisine offered is truly exceptional, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The staff's attentiveness and professionalism elevate the dining experience. However, the atmosphere presents a unique ambiance that may not appeal to all. The decor choices create a somewhat uncomfortable setting. Despite this peculiarity, the remarkable food and service merit a visit. Sides were given despite not being requested. Tortilla soup was warm and not hot.
The tortilla chips and salsa were good, but we found the burritos a little dry. I think they are just made differently in California, and that's what we're used to. The atmosphere was good and the staff were friendly and helpful.
I'll have to go back and try something different one day to form a complete opinion but the rice was good so I had high hopes for the rest of the meal but those fell drastically and swiftly, the tacos we're way to sweet and my girlfriends pancakes and syrup, I found it ironic that they didn't have sweet tea because all I tasted in everything else was sugar, needless to say first impression was a complete let down from the reviews I had read about that place, if I go back next time I'll make sure it's on someone else's dime because I felt like I wasted my money even though pricing was fair
Place is good. They cook pretty good food and overall recommend if you feel like having good Mexican food. Be careful with how they charge you, though. Went this week and the cashier either messed up thought it would be easy to take advantage and charge me more. Paid over $30 + tip for just two people!!!! it’s not the first time they’ve done this. And it’s pretty unfair that they treat their customers this way. So watch out or your money, seams like they like to take advantage of their customers. :/
I got surgery (bypass) so I eat very little. We been coming to this place for a very long time. They told us they would not let us eat one for two of us, I eat very little. It’s not the money it’s the principle of it. That’s horrible customer service. We have recommended several people to eat here like a lot and now I am texting everyone to stop coming here. I know that maybe one review and 15 to 20 people not going any longer won’t make a difference but that is discrimination against patients with bariatric surgery.
