Game Vault El Paso Reviews
Staff is very friendly and extra nice. I needed a charger for a Nintendo DSi and they had different options and even asked if I had anything to trade. Low and behold I had a few games from my personal collection and that was enough to get the charger, buy a game, and put a few dollars in my pocket. Which I turned around and used on some peanut butter chocolate cupcakes from their sweet tooth section of goodies. Highly recommended!
Game Vault has the spirit of a community center, with a large selection of board games, tabletop games and a small restaurant and bar. They encourage people to come and play a large selection of open box games for free. Very rare, perhaps unique place.
Incredible find. This converted hibachi restaurant has everything to keep a game enthusiast, family, or curious passer-by entertained for hours. Wide selection of games (familiar and foreign), trinkets, and merchandise. The staff is friendly, helpful, and engaged. My shy son was comfortable there immediately with the warm smiles and engagement from each of the employees. Most impressive is the free games they waiting for you to try out while offering a standard yet delicious selection of meals, snacks, coffee, desserts, and more. Time flies at this place, and it's time well spent! Bravo!
Absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere is great, and they have an awesome selection of trading card games. The staff was beyond helpful!! One of the employees took the time to help me pick out cards and made the whole experience so easy and enjoyable. I really wish I had gotten his name because he was genuinely so kind and went above and beyond. Amazing service all around, highly recommend!
THE ABSOLUTE GREATEST GAME STORE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! I've been stationed in a lot places and this little border town shop has the most amazing products, prices, and employees. My family and friends come here all the time. The environment is fun, safe, and welcoming. Also the food is another splendid addition! Such delicious homemade food for such a worthwhile price. This store is a nat 20 out of 10!
Really great place for a newbie to get some TCGs or any other goodies. Very awesome place you have to visit!!
It's a cool place. Lots of tables. Great location. Good parking. Things are a little bit expensive, but everything in this world is.
Such an awesome board game store. The owner is so nice and helpful. Staff is great and knowledgeable. We have searched for a place like this in bigger cities like Phoenix they have left us disappointed. This store is everything we have wanted and more. Great selection of board games to purchase. They also have a great selection of games to try out at the store. They have a cafe and are kid friendly.
Really fun place for board games! Probably the best in El Paso. It's also close to the freeway so it's an easy stop for people on a road trip to decompress and hang out and play games with family or friends. There's a full coffee bar there along with some food and drink options. People were friendly there. The coffee was delicious, and the menu sounded tasty. One suggestion if possible, I could only tip the barista a dollar since that's all I had. A tip option at the coffee register for cards would be awesome.
We love coming here to shop and enjoy treats from the café! They seem to be out of stock of popular items often (which is a good sign, folks are shopping local!) but we can always find something fun to take home with us. I would love to see a larger assortment of DnD miniatures, but we did come right after Christmas so they may have been out of stock from the holidays. They had a huge assortment of board/tabletop games, and the tables for group play always seem to be full of folks having a great time! Even if you’re not into tabletop games, it’s a fun environment to grab a coffee and read!
One of our favorite places in El Paso! Great food, great games, great memories made as a family. Five stars isn’t enough!
I have been several times so far. This is a good family atmosphere. It is a place where games are played and people come together. The food is excellent and the coffee bar would please a Seattle Starbucks snob. The staff is friendly. The games.......the games ......if you are looking for a board game The Games Vault is your place. Yes they have Monopoly, yes They have Risk. They have board games to suit any interest. This is your place to bring Your game crew or simply pick up a game for home.
Great place with lots of board games and trading cards. It's HUGE great place to meet up play games. You can demo what they have before you buy and they have food and coffee. It's awesome to have a place like this.
I love this store. There is a large selection of board and table games. There are a lot of tables and plenty of space for various games. You may reserve them, but I don't know how that process works. There's a cafe as well but I haven't tried it either. They sell MtG and Pokemon singles and packs.
Game Vault is hands-down one of the best spots in town for gaming and collectibles, but what truly sets it apart is the atmosphere and that’s thanks to Josh. From the moment you walk through the door, he makes you feel like family. He’s welcoming, genuine, and always takes the time to connect with everyone who walks in, whether you’re a regular or brand new. Josh knows his stuff, but more importantly, he makes sure the experience is fun and inclusive for all. You’re not just another customer here you’re part of a community. Between the great selection, fair prices, and amazing customer service, this place is an easy 5 stars. Highly recommend stopping by and experiencing the Game Vault vibe for yourself!
An excellent place to play. Consistently fair prices and tons of stuff to choose from, plenty of open tables with comfortable chairs and no cover charge. Staff is super helpful and just as likely to nerd out with you about the things they sell. And if all that wasn’t enough, the cafe food and drink selection is delicious and worth the visit on its own merit!
Such a great business! The cafeteria always has excellent drinks for every occasion, the kitchen offers one of the best calzones I’ve ever tried. There are tons of events going on every week. The staff is always friendly and helpful in any aspect. If you’re looking to buy cards or board games, they always come in an excellent quality and price. Oh, they also have a point system which is great. Congrats on such an amazing local store!
This place is Magnificent! A Gamers and collectors dream!!! The cafeteria offers many lunch, brunch and dinner dine in options! They have a coffee and drink bar area and also a bakery! The bakery items are absolutely WORTH IT and delicious! The staff here is wonderful!!! Very helpful and welcoming, specially the bakers wife!!! This place is absolutely WORTH the drive and is actually located very conveniently inside the Yarbrough shopping center near the I-10. The have thousands of different items to look at and buy, the have tables for games and competitions. They got tons of different types of toys and collectible items here as well!
Went here looking for 2 games and while they didn't have either for sale, they did have one as a demo, which was great and free to try. I played it with my group and had a lot of fun. The location itself is a lot larger than it looks on the outside and it seems like a great spot. I'll definetly be back.
AMAZING. My friends and I all love this place. They just re-opened their Cafe and kitchen, and both are also so great. The food is soooooo good. Fantastic place for a date night, or anything from a small hangout with friends to a group meet-up. It's free to play any of their demo games, and they have SO MANY. The staff is top notch, happy to help give game recommendations for any kind of game you're looking for (board games, card games, etc.) so it's a great place for seasoned board-game and RP table top gamers as well as the monopoly and scrabble lovers. They also have raffle nights and many many events throughout the months. I wish I had a place like this in my hometown 😭
This store is unique! It has video games, board games, and a small cafe. The employees are really nice (Hi Josh!) and welcoming. The owner was very nice and helpful as well. Will be going again soon. Only reason I didn't give five stars was because our kids were with us and we all heard one of the guys there say a few f-bombs. Hopefully they have G rated language next time we go.
The store itself is at a nice location. The atmosphere and cleanliness of the store is satisfactory. Plenty of product to browse through. I removed stars for staff interaction, everything and everyone was great up until I had to helped by a bald gentleman. He was playing cards with his buddies but working the cash register at the same time? He seemed super annoyed to help me with single cards and became super super upset and a little aggressive when I asked for a ONE DOLLAR discount on an order over $50.I should’ve just walked out in that moment while getting scolded about pricing 😂. Overall great store, great items, majority of the staff was kind. I would consider returning, if I was in the area. The bald gentleman being annoyed to help someone spending money really steered me away.
