Lucys Cafe El Paso Reviews
Beautiful restaurant filled with plants. The portions are great, as are the prices. What really stood out to me was the owner cooking and serving customers alongside his waiters (who were fantastic). A wonderful breakfast, and will be back soon.
GREAT FOOD AT GREAT PRICES! BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN EL PASO! They have a great menu of all the classics, so it’s a place you’ll want to go back to. Quaint atmosphere, but not much seating during COVID. There is an open kitchen so it’s easy to see everything is made fresh and to order. You’ll want to have a party of 4 or less and arrive at a strategic time.
Went in for breakfast. They have the full menu available during breakfast which I love! The food is... seriously delicious. I will say it take quite a while for the food to come out BUT I don't have a single complaint about that because it's freshly made to order so your food is hot and fresh when you get it. It's 150% worth the wait. The service was also great, and you can tell the staff knows what they're doing!
The food was very good.Served in timely manner.Very welcoming had a real homey feel. Actual real homemade pancakes. My only regret is did not try more options; so I will be coming back.
The food was good and they served us really fast the people who work there are very nice and patient and very friend, though the place is small it still feel really spacious, it isnt loud, i felt safe and warm :3 yayayayy (the food is a tini bit expensive but i say its worth on what you get)
Just passing through El Paso and wanted a burrito but BOY did we get more than expected. The owner gentleman was sweet, funny and very helpful telling us what everything was. We got 2 carnitas burritos and a Quesadilla. The meat was so tender and flavorful, the veggies were perfectly grilled and the salsa was delicious. The Quesadilla came with veggies, avocado and sour cream. I was bummed when I finished it because I wanted more. The portions were perfect and all that was only $22! If I ever come back through, I'm making another visit! Enjoy!
Lucy's is a very good place to go grab a bite to eat. The workers there always treat you like you were a guest in their home. They are always willing to take care of any needs you have. The food is always impeccable. Tale the entire family and I assure you will not be disappointed with them.
Lucy’s is home. The food is amazing. No matter what you order it is comfort food. The service is just the best. The family environment makes you feel so comfortable. I don’t even see a menu and they always know what I am going to order. You can taste the love in the cooking and everything is fresh and she makes it look so effortless. Of course you must try the machaca and the tacos Antonia. Simply the best.
What a great place!! Im from Albuquerque NM and ordered breakfast and the food was amazing. The service matched the food, Great!!! The owner made us feel at home. He was such a great person. The first time we picked it up to go, and as soon as we walked in, he was very kind and told us to have a seat, the food wasn't ready and gave us some water and out food is almost done. Awesome experience!!!!
I'm so glad we found this restaurant during our trip. Food was fresh and the food presentation was beautiful! This place was busy with walk-in customers and call-in orders. They did not have enough servers so please be patient and remember to tip your server. They are doing their absolute best to seat you and get your food ready fast.
A win all the way! Was starving after my follow-up eye exam. My regular burrito joint closes at 3. When I asked Google at burritos near me, Lucy's popped up. As I pulled into the parking spot, Patrick and his mom were leaving. I asked if they could recommend Lucy's, and both gave an enthusiastic thumbs-up. When I entered, David and Ana were chatting at the counter and welcomed me. Ana recommended the cimichanga, so that is what I ordered. I also ordered (5) different burritos to take home. Even though Lucy's only had a few patrons, the phone kept ringing for take-out orders. I very much enjoyed the atmosphere. The portion was generous (enough for 2 meals), and I was able to figure out the parts necessary for some plumbing work at my house. I look forward to coming back here for breakfast. This is a nice place for family.
Amazing quality and flavors! This has been our to-go the past five weekends. We have tried different items, and never disappointed! Sundays, treat yourself to refreshing mimosas :P Edit: Returned after 4 years! Am I glad we did! The place looks fantastic and the food phenomenal. A must visit! Can't wait to come back
What can I say about this “hole in the wall amazing diner!” Wow, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was enjoyable with laughter and happy faces everywhere. Amazing customer service! I recommend this beautiful restaurant to anyone seeking authentic Mexican cuisine spiced with a bit of Texas! Do yourself a favor, eat here, and enjoy a simple meal and enjoy some R&R. Cheers!
Food is always good but today the service was terrible. Waited 17 minutes for them to acknowledge us and that’s just getting our drinks and when we finally got our plates my plate was missing my hash brown which they said it was coming but never did. They also never came back to refill our drinks. So yeah it’s sad that today the service Sucked.
Went early Saturday morning with my family of four. It wasn’t too packed. An older gentleman took our order, we got our drinks, horchatas were amazing btw, then 20 minutes went by. No refills no mention of food coming out soon, no one came to us. Then two families of 3 came in during this time sat in front of us & a few minutes later THEIR food came out first. They had similar dishes like us. Then the family behind them got their food by their waitress. By this time I flagged a waitress who didn’t speak English about whether they had forgotten about us. She grabbed the gentleman at the counter and immediately he checked their screen & a few minutes later my husband’s menudo came out. A few minutes later our dishes came out and his response was that they were busy. No apology nothing else. The food was good but we left no tip since there was no one tending to us the entire time. At the checkout I noticed he gave a discount but had he apologized and acknowledged we were overlooked, we would’ve left a tip. We’ll eat here again the food was good and understand things happen. Just wanted them to be honest and upfront instead of ignoring the problem because we really did feel unimportant especially when the other families were being tended to multiple times by their staff.
I love coming to Lucy’s, but I didn’t have a great experience with my food this time. The tacos Antonia were cold, soggy, and fell apart I wasn’t even able to enjoy them and had to take them apart and remake them myself at home. Very disappointed that I had to pay for this 🫤 UPDATE i also ordered the caldo the corn was bad and the potatoes were RAW this is the worst food experience I’ve had. The owner and his daughter are so rude and will blame you for the disgusting quality of their food. It’s been 4 days and they’re still being awful people. I really used to love coming here but their true colors have shown and I WILL NEVER support this business EVER AGAIN.
