Papa Eric's El Paso Reviews
It was my first time coming to this place. The burgers were fantastic! They were seared and seasoned nicely. And the SALSA VERDE IS A MUST! It is soooooo good on the burgers!!!
Great food and open good hours for a burger.
We found this place while driving through El Paso along I10. It is only 5 minutes out of the way, but can vary if you catch the red lights and traffic is heavy. The food is excellent. We usually call in our order and get it to go but this trip we ate inside. Small dining area and not real fancy, but you don’t have to have a fancy atmosphere to have great food. Food served hot and you get green salsa served with any order at the tables. Well worth the extra effort to get away from restaurants along the highway.
I went for first time last Friday. I can said one of the best burgers in El Paso. Very tasty. The cashier lady was super nice and friendly. I used a fundraiser coupon which I think is great from you helping high schools kids. Definitely I’ll come back.
Discovered Papa Eric's by accident but what a wonderful find! Some of the best burgers I've eaten anywhere. If you're in El Paso and in the mood for a burger, I highly recommend you make a visit here.
Great ol'skool burger joint. Burgers cooked to order and with variations, The Andre (chilli dog burger) and Caryme (double with special sauce). If you love burgers you need to try it once!
Awesome little burger place in central El Paso! The burgers were flavorful, service was fast, prices were decent. I had the green chili burger and it was amazing! Would absolutely go back
Papa Eric's is one of those "hole-in-the-wall" places where you can get a badass burger, just like the ones your tío or jefe would make from scratch at a Sunday BBQ with the whole familia.
The best cheeseburger I’ve tasted. The salsa gives it a little kick to it! The fries with the salsa are really good! Great service 👍👍👍
We came in at 11am it's a tiny place filled up to capacity by 12noon. Burger was juicy and you can tell it's handmade and not the frozen meat. Loved the fries, not greasy at all. I highly recommend this place.
My family and I had a great experience dining at this place. We got there 30 minutes before closing time with coupons we had purchased for $8 from a fundraiser. It included a cheeseburger fries and a drink. They still made us feel welcome, they were friendly and attentive even thoughthey were getting ready to close. The food was great! Definitely going back !
This is the first time I came to this hamburger restaurant. I found that it is very popular as a conscientious hamburger restaurant that is loved by locals. It looked beautiful and tasted great. Especially the green spicy sauce on the table was irresistibly delicious for those who like spicy food.
The burgers here DO NOT compare to the other "papa's burgers" the ones here are so much more delicious. The service was quick, the food was delicious and well served. The building itself looks like a "hole in the wall" but is not at all low quality food. I really recommend anyone that likes burgers to give this one specifically a chance.
My 1st return vidit since Covid. A local favorite for years. And now w only 6 tables, service is super and their scratch no-prefab burgers and fries are arguably the best in town. Client from all over ELP and super take-out for us that live close by. It's no frills. But then their prices are v fair. If u like a great burger, gotta try em. This Piedras St location is my favorite. But others as shown. Definitely Covid protocol.
2nd visit. Best burgers I've ever had? Not at all, but the taste is pretty good. Definitely would come back. Service is good, the server is the cashier as well, so be a bit patient. The restaurant itself is due for a nice refresh of the flooring, walls and ceilings. Those things seem to have been ignored for a while now.
Great little burger spot. Awesome staff and very responsive. Parking is a bit tricky on the main road, try and park on the side, The menu offered a quite a bit of variety, cheap kids menu. The mushroom burger was on, did not disappoint very generous on the shrooms and cheese, the green Chile sauce makes the burger just better. The fries are your typical everyday fry could use some seasoning but non the less good. Liked that staff came by and offered refills without having to ask, very attentive. It was a bit warm inside, need that AC cranked on high with the open kitchen concept. A definite must try burger spot, it won’t disappoint.
The place is old but cozy, very clean establishment. The prices are a little elevated, i ordered a hamburger with green chile on top, forgot the name, it tasted good, but nothing out of the ordinary, the patty was pretty thin and the bun a little large for my taste, the fries were good, i don't believe there are free refills because the fountain machine was behind the counter. Overall, recommended.
This is an old school style burger joint that welcomes one and all. It's rather small, but comfy. It reminds me of, one of those original diner's, that were typically open 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year. Where you can grab a stool seat, right in front of the cook & griddle, and watch as he cooks your order from scratch. The place is not good looking, but they make-up for it with the quality of the food. They serve a burger combo that comes with fries and a drink for 10 bucks, not necessarily the best deal in town, but you can bet your bottom dollar, they are much better than the local McDonald's or Burger King. (Which offers the same deal.) The beef burger patty actually fills the bun, add in some fresh lettuce, tomatoes & onions, some homemade fries, add a little bit of spice with their homemade jalapeno salsa, and a cold beverage, to wash it all down. Papa Eric's Burger, is much better than those drive through restaurants, better taste, better quality, and so satisfying. I recommend to avoid the "busy hours" since the capacity is limited. Overall, Papa Eric's is a good & tasty value for your money, and helps out your local community services.
First time ever visiting this restaurant, walked in and absolutely no one greeted us or acknowledged we walked in. We sat down at a table, no one came by to take orders so we got up to the counter to order, again no one is talking to us and being our first time here we’re not sure how it works. Lady at the counter told us it would be a 40min wait for 2 burgers… safe to say won’t be coming back to actually try the food.
