Jimboy's Tacos Elk Grove Reviews
Excellant!!!! This is my all time favorite place for tacos since I was a little girl. I now take my family here and they live it just as much as I did growing up. The one thing I can say about this location is this. They are always consistent with there food. This is why I love this location. We actually had one built in my neighborhood a few years back and it was terrible. I will make the hour drive monthly to bring my family here for lunch.
Fresh daily with no brown lettuce in their salads. Friendly and prompt service. Delicious food!
Oldie, but a goodie, love getting my Jimboy's when travelling through from the Central Valley. Old childhood comfort food, right off the 99= Perfecto😁
This is one of my favorite Jimboy's locations. I think I was about 8 when I had my 1st taco from the location inside Denio's in Roseville. Fast forward to having lived in L.A. for 23 years, moving back to Sac was a blessing for me to get the best tacos around. It's nice to be back home to family & great food. ❤️❤️
This Jimboys is great! Never had any problems with the food or service. This is my favorite place to go to.
I love this place sooo much. The food is always amazing at Jimboys. Tried the chicken bacon guacamoledilla tonight. Sooo wonderful. I was disappointed, as it seems to happen alot, seems like everywhere, the main guy was holding his phone and rubbing his jeans and touching his face with his purple gloves on. Really grosses me out and I feel like it is something I have to overlook if I want to go eat anywhere, but my house. Anyways, the guy that took our order with the black fluffy hair, was adorably kind and helpful. Loved the food and the salsas too. Clean bathrooms and lots of free parking too. Very wheelchair accessible here.
Really love this local chain. This location usually isn’t so busy but I wonder why. The food is always fresh, high quality and the service professional. I pretty much just stick to their tacos and they’ve never let me down. Chicken, fish, beef or pork are all delicious. Love the parmesan cheese dusting on the tortillas.
This location's tacos were a taste of my childhood. My wife and I are visiting the Sacramento area from out of state, and we're wanting a taste of when we grew up in the Sacramento area. Jimboy's has kept their tacos the same as I remember from the 1980s and early 1990s. They had a winner back them with the tacos and still do. Thanks, Jimboy's for keeping these delicious tacos, they are not the traditional Mexican tacos with onions and cilantro, which I love but I also love Jimboy's tacos. The French fries I hadn't had until this visit, wow they are really good. I highly recommend if it is your first visit to try the tacos and the French fries, they are well worth the cost.
Breakfast burrito bowl with chorizo. First time trying (not on the drive thru menu) but can order. Comes with rice, pinto beans, red salsa, eggs, potatoes, cheese and choice of meat. Y'all it's worth getting and so tasty! For being a fast food, its near restaurant style yet could be a ++ if bigger portion :)) but this was filling! You get a tortilla as well.
American Tacos, I love the El Gordo Tacos, I can't get enough of them! These are nothing like Taco Truck Taco's, they have a flavor all of their own. Once your hooked, your hooked for life. I've been eating these Tacos since I was a kid growing up in Sacramento. 5 stars all the way since day 1.
I grew up on Jimboy's and so I always have to have it. No Jimboy's in the Bay Area so every time I come up to Sac or just feel the need, I stop by this location in Elk Grove since it's right off the freeway when I do take 99. Can't tell you much about the drive-in as I always order and eat inside with my family. Great staff, clean restaurant and the food is still made like it was back in the day if not better. Menu prices have obviously changed and unfortunately no Horchata here but that's really not what to come for. It's all about the original beef tacos. Period. I'll knock a few down after my enchiladas then order 2 dozen more to bring home and eat when those cravings kick in. If you've never had a Jimboy's taco, try it! Nothing like it and you'll probably keep coming back like everyone else. ... Jimboy-oh-boy!!!
Love their ground beef tacos. I think the prices are getting too high. $3.15 for a taco....they aren't packed..just about as much ingredients as a Jack 'n The Box taco, but the American & Parm cheese & their packets of taco sauce cant be beat. Also, their beans & cheese burritos have a slight grill.Be sure to ask for extra cheese.
Overall I'd call it upscale quality Taco Bell. I had the Super Nachos, and they weren't even close to Super. Carnitas was ok. My cousin enjoyed the Tacos. Pretty girls, sorry service. The cook lady came and served us the food because the cashier girls were too busy being on their phones. I was going to say next time but I'd rather go to Del Taco than come here again.
Way overpriced for tacos. These are the same greasy delicious tacos I remember from the 80's unfortunately the CA economy has jacked up the price. Would have rather gone to a sit down service restaurant at these prices.
Bought a burrito bowl. Ordered it with no beans or rice, but extra meat & sour cream. Totally expected to pay extra for the extras. What I ended up with was an almost $11 dinner salad. No cheese, little meat (glad I ordered extra or wouldn't have been able to find any, but it was swimming in sour cream). The contents didn't even make it to the top of the bowl. Next time, I'll go to Super Taco.
