They call it a trip to Nepal. I call it a trip home. This is the kind of place that reminds you—nothing matters more than humanity. The moment you step into their restaurant, you're not just a guest; you're family. And it’s genuine. The food? Phenomenal. Not just delicious—but memorable, with a signature that stays with you. A heartfelt thank you to the entire crew, and especially to Mr. Ishwor, who makes every visit unforgettable.

What an excellent addition to the Elmhurst family of restaurants! Great job Faarzi owners! The decor is surprisingly fun. Just love all the gold color. The food is super amazingly tasty… I don’t think you can go wrong. The momos were amazing. The wrapping is not too thick. The chow mein is so tasty :-) Their attention to detail is amazing with the presentation of the food. It’s just so much fun! I will surely be back for more 😇

This place takes me right back to Kathmandu — such a lovely ambiance and even lovelier people. The food is absolutely delicious, and the jhol momo is a must-try! I’ve visited a few times and always left happy. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic flavors and warm vibes.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at FAARZI, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance transported me straight to Nepal, with its warm lighting, traditional décor, and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant’s motto, “a fake trip to Nepal by not being in Nepal,” perfectly encapsulates the journey they offer. The food was absolutely delightful, capturing the authentic flavors of Nepali cuisine. Each dish was expertly prepared, bursting with freshness and flavor. The service was equally exceptional – the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. I visited with friends and family, and the experience was nothing short of perfect. It’s rare to find a place that blends cultural authenticity with impeccable hospitality, but this restaurant does so effortlessly. I highly recommend FAARZI to anyone looking for a unique and memorable dining experience. It’s not just a meal; it’s a cultural escape.

Stumbled upon this place looking for a late night bite. Immediately impressed with the welcoming wait staff and fun atmosphere. Food was amazing and there were plenty of vegan options. This spot definitely needs to be on your radar if you’re in Queens.

as someone who works in the restaurant industry, the service here is beyond amazing! went here with a group of 6 people and we were all amazed by the care the team at faarzi provides. the head chef bipul came to check on us during our meal and even brought out a handmade dessert just for us. would love to come back here and hopefully find parking close by again :,) ❤️

First time we came for drinks in the evening. It was very charming and they also had live music. Their drinks were very good and they gave us complementary popcorn. Came back today for late lunch with a large group of friends. The noodles, fried rice and momos were all so delicious and flavorful. Their fries were seasoned very nicely as well. They also had vegetarian options for many dishes. Their spicy sauce with chili oil was very nice if you like a kick. Highly recommend. Will definitely come back.

This is the first time that I’ve eaten Nepalese food here and so I’m no able to rate the food fairly I don’t think however the service and ambience were outstanding. They were friendly , welcoming and very helpful with the menu. The clientele was young and mostly Asian, and I think anyone can come here fully expecting a very nice evening

The place is absolutely stunning. Everything hand made and shipped from Nepal. The staff, so kind, so knowledgeable, and so considerate to our every need. I’m a big foodie. And I love trying new things. What I ordered wasn’t exactly the best to me, however it still tasted amazing and I would not knock their quality of food. The rich welcoming energy of this place does not end with the walls and servers. They put real effort into the food and drinks presentation.

Absolutely Stunning Restaurant! This place is truly a gem in the neighborhood I've called home for 18 years. I'm thrilled it's within walking distance! The food is incredible, but what stands out most for me is the beautiful presentation. Presentation is so important to me--it's even more exciting than the food itself! From the Buff Choila served in a smoky covered pot to the Chicken Momo, everything was perfection. We even got complimentary popcorn served in a charming Nepali Dalo, which added such a cute and authentic touch. The service was top-notch. A special shoutout to the warm and welcoming bartender, ~ Ishowr Gautam ~who made the experience even better with his professionalism and hospitality. Plus point is live Decent music after 8 pm is relaxing !! I can't wait to come back for more! Homey atmosphere.

Exceptional experience. We were there for my wife's birthday and the entire night was very memorable. The food was very good, especially the different momos and the shabhalep. The different meat platters were very traditional and flavorful. We tried several of the cocktails with the Chiya Bari Ma being the best combination of unique and delicious. What set Faarzi apart was the incredible friendliness / hospitality and incredible attention to detail from the plating of the food to the tiny decor facets all around the restaurant (you would have never known it used to be an Irish pub). The music was on point and they even had a live acoustic performance. Special experience all around: good people, good food. The owner mentioned they even have karaoke later in the night. We'll take them up on it for sure.

If you're craving authentic Nepali flavors, this restaurant is a hidden gem you need to experience! We tried momo, chowmein, chatpate, stick platter, and chicken wings. Each dish packed with bold Nepali spices and cooked to perfection. The flavors instantly took us back home, and the presentation was both vibrant and mouthwatering. On top of that, the cocktails were next-level creative and delicious! Chiya Bari Ma had the perfect chiya-infused twist, Lyase Paun brought that tangy punch, Bhagote Sadheko was a spicy surprise, and Aapey Margarita gave a fruity, refreshing Nepali spin to a classic. Each one was thoughtfully crafted and added to the unique vibe of the place. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the service was genuinely impressive, attentive, friendly, and full of heart. A big shoutout to Bipul Dai and team for creating a space that not only serves amazing food but also captures the true spirit of Nepal.

What a hidden gem! On the recommendation of a lovely lady (where we get our nails done), we ended up here – and what a delightful surprise it was. I visited with my daughter and we had a truly different experience: a warm welcome, stunning Nepalese decor, and the feeling of being transported on a little trip right in the heart of New York. The food was absolutely delicious! We shared a starter, main, and dessert – all for under $64. Incredibly tasty and super affordable. A unique spot we’ll happily return to again and again. Highly recommended!

A charming, low-key restaurant tucked away in Elmhurst. I visited with a friend who remarked that the dishes were very reminiscent of home in Nepal—authentic, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. The restaurant itself has a unique and heartfelt ambiance, showing great dedication to Nepalese culture. We were seated in the stage area, which offers traditional floor seating. While it adds to the homey feel, it can be a bit cramped and uncomfortable, especially for longer meals. I’d recommend reserving a table or opting for bar seating if you’re dining with a companion. There was also live music during our visit where we got free popcorn, which added a lively and welcoming touch. Overall, the experience was memorable and the food was excellent.

One of the best Nepali food in Queens. Chowimene is super delicious and other food as well, Momo is ok not wow but rest of the food’s are delicious. Highly recommended. Most of the people complain about less portions but for me perfect. It’s been long time visiting there for diner, taste is always same TOP Level.

Such a great place for Nepali food. The ambience is beautiful , the drinks are amazing, and everything is presented so well. Definitely worth a visit. Ishwor dai’s drinks are honestly amazing the best I’ve had in New York City and anywhere else.

From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had stepped into a warm, welcoming corner of the Himalayas. The vibe is cozy and inviting, with beautiful decor, soft lighting, and traditional Nepali touches that make the space feel super special. Huge shoutout to the bartender dai, seriously one of the best I’ve come across. The drinks were not only delicious but had so much personality. You can tell there’s real care and creativity behind every cocktail. What really stuck with me, though, was how comfortable and at home I felt here. It’s the kind of place you want to come back to not just for the food and drinks, but for the overall experience. Definitely a new favorite.

Incredible food and superb service. Spicy and delicious dishes and you can tell the staff are happy and proud of their culture and preparations. We had a mix of mono , along with a noodle and rice dish. All well plated, filling and full of flavor. Definitely will return.

Went there for the first time and was really impressed with the interior design of the restaurant. Kinda excessive, tbh but it creates an interesting atmosphere. It is pretty obvious that much thought, work, and money was put into the presentation of the restaurant and food. No other Nepali restaurant like Faarzi, for sure. So definitely worth the visit for that reason. Service was pretty great. They had live singing performance (particular nights most likely). The jhol for the momo was so flavorful! It is served cool, so it’d be perfect if the momos were brought in piping hot. The buff chowmein was really good too (super spicy). The food is definitely on the super spicier side and pretty salty (kinda common for Nepali food). So let the waiter know if you need adjustments). The only thing I’d say is that some items on the menu had pricing that was, quite surprisingly, pretty high. With drinks, the bill will easily come out to min $50/pp) I think presentation of the meals is cool but they can’t lose focus on creating good-tasting, delicious food. The paani puri definitely needs extra work, please! Anyways, kudos 🙏 to the brothers for creating a Nepal outside of Nepal. Glad to have an establishment that we can enjoy and bring our friends and families to. 👏👏👏

If you want to experience traditional Nepali decor, this place is a must visit, they’ve absolutely nailed the aesthetics. While it isn’t the most spacious restaurant, it’s comfortable enough. Weekends can get quite busy, so a reservation is recommended. I really enjoyed the overall vibe, immaculate interiors, friendly service, and live music that adds to the atmosphere. But as a foodie, I felt the food could’ve been better. The presentation doesn’t quite make up for the lack of depth in flavor, just my personal take. That said their cocktails are excellent and definitely worth trying. Overall, a good experience.

The food was good overall, although I’m not a huge fan of spicy food and a lot of the menu had a bit of a kick. That’s just personal taste though. We went during the NYC snowstorm and the staff were really friendly and welcoming, clearly putting in a lot of effort even when many other places were closed.

Nice atmosphere with good live music, which made the experience enjoyable. The momo and chowmein were tasty and definitely recommended. Unfortunately, the “Masu Jindabaad” platter was a big letdown. Although it looks good in the picture attached, the portion size was way too small for a $50 platter and not worth for the price. I would not recommend ordering this platter. Overall, good place for ambiance and select dishes, but skip the Masu Jindabaad platter.

I was very excited to see a Himalayan spot opening up on this side of Elmhurst because I felt there was a need for more diverse food anyways. The exterior is very eye-catching especially with all of the decorations and colors the owners put effort into. The interior is just wow, different colors - lots of greens, purple & brown. The seating and tables are very pretty and the lighting is perfect. I haven’t tried too much food here, but so far I have had the: Buff chow mein, Chatamari Set (Nepalese style folded pizza with spiced meats and vegetables), Kathmandu Ko Faarzi Jhoi Momo Cha (Nepalese style dumplings with flavorful fillings served with special tangy sauce) and Baudha Ko Faarzi Cheu Momo (steamed momo with flavorful juicy buttery fillings served with 2 different sauces). There’s a lot of interesting aromatics in the food and their momo’s are delicious! I can’t eat much spicy foods, so I chose the ones that were mild or not spicy. The bar menu had an assortment of drinks and cocktails. I’ve tried a few of the cocktails at Faarzi and they are on point. Overall, a pleasant experience if you’re looking for a different type of cuisine and atmosphere. The staff here are very nice & welcoming. The music is also very relaxing and when you’re here, you forget you’re even in NYC.

I visited Farzi recently and had a mixed experience. The momos were tasty, with a nice filling, but they were smaller than expected, leaving me wanting more. The buff chowmein was the highlight—flavorful and perfectly cooked, easily the best dish of the night. The panipuri had a great presentation, colorful and inviting, which added to the experience. However, the thali was a letdown; it came with just three tiny pieces of meat, which felt stingy for the price. The Masu jindabad platter was a hit. Service was friendly, but the waiter seemed distracted and could’ve been more attentive to our needs. On a high note, the live music was fantastic—10/10, it really brought the place to life. The cocktails were top-notch, well-crafted, and a definite standout. The decor was another win; it felt like stepping into Nepal with vibrant colors and authentic touches. Overall, it’s a place with great potential, but the food portions and service need some work. I’d give it a 3 out of 5.

Walking into this restaurant feels like stepping into a little corner of Nepal. The cozy décor, warm lighting, and inviting atmosphere create a sense of comfort that immediately transports you, almost like being in a Himalayan teahouse. Sadly, the food did not match the charm of the setting. The flavors were underwhelming, and for the high prices charged, the quality felt disappointing. It left me wishing the dishes carried the same authenticity and warmth as the ambiance. Overall, the restaurant is a lovely, cozy place that captures the spirit of Nepal in its atmosphere. But if you’re seeking truly satisfying food at a fair price, the experience may fall short.

The food is okay. I can't say that it was outstanding but it wasn't bad. What made me do this review was the attitude of the lady who waited on us. There was a slight misunderstanding with the cocktails, but it's fine. Or so I thought. I'm not sure if it was just coincidental. We happen to sit on the low tables and my leg was stretched out. When she came back after the misunderstanding, she stepped on my forefoot. I tried to pull my foot away, but I wasn't able to. I looked up to her to see her reaction but she just kept on talking to my peers, with a straight face. Didn't even bother to look down on my foot. There's no way that she didn't feel it when I tried to pull my foot away. I didn't say anything that night because our Nepali friend suggested that we go there so we can try their food and I chose to be polite so he wouldn't feel embarrassed since he suggested that we should go to that restaurant.

We got the stick platter, fried momos and the chicken bara set and the food just wasn’t it. The bara set only came with one tiny piece of chicken even though it’s supposed to be a chicken bara set, and everything on the platter was way too salty. We grew up eating Nepali street food so we know what it should taste like and this just missed the mark. They also told us there was another reservation in 15 minutes so we felt rushed. Overall not a great experience and probably wouldn’t come back.

One of the worst experience i’ve ever had in a Nepali restaurant. I booked a table 2 weeks before for 8 people but the table was not ready when we reach there. They made us wait for 10 minutes and the table which we got was right in front of the door. Choila and platters were okay, but the momo and chowmein was not cooked properly which doesn’t taste good at all. The service was very bad. The server only took our order and they didn’t even check on us again. I understand it was busy but the service they gave us was terrible.

The food was really good. The live music was fun and the place looked nice, all positives there. But I had to give 1 star because they automatically added 18% gratuity for just three of us. Not sure if that’s a NYC thing, but I haven’t seen it anywhere else.
