Siam Elephant Thai Restaurant Elmira Reviews
My friends and I got served by a lovely man. The wait was so worth it, amazing flavoring, beautiful plating and serving sizes.
I've gotten delivery, takeout, and dined in and have been so happy with my meal each time. One of my favorite restaurants in the area! The green curry is my go-to.
We had a lovely meal here yesterday. Tried two "Chef's Choice" entrees and the soups and were pleased with the presentation and flavors. The chilled beer glass was an unexpected treat. The environment was clean and elegant.
This was my first time coming to eat here. The male at the front was very kind and hospitable. The food came out quicker than I expected. The food was delicious. I ordered a boba tea and that was also delicious! I would definitely come back again!
Had their lunch special. It was worth! The spring rolls they serve with every lunch special was delish! There was 5 of us and we all shared. Each plate was great. The menu had plenty if veggie options! Oh also the drinks were good. Thai tea esp solid from here.
Wonderful restaurant, desperately needed in Elmira. The hosts are great and the food is delicious, especially the drunken noodles. The spicy chicken salad is underrated; it’s so healthy and something different to try. Ground chicken with red onion and a spicy, sweet, citrusy, vinegary fish sauce. It was just missing crushed peanuts (the pad Thai and drunken noodle would be even better with peanuts too. Everything tastes very close to what I had in Thailand, just missing peanut.) The panang curry is super creamy and delicious. I asked for “somewhere between mild and medium” and it was just the right amount of spicy without being overpowering. We mentioned it was my cousin’s birthday dinner and they surprised us with disco lights that played across the ceiling with a song and they brought out flaming fried ice cream! It was awesome. Highly recommend.
I love Thai food, so since moving to Elmira I had to get my regular Thai food, and found this place. Their food was good and place was nice. I got my usual spicy basil fried rice and drunken noodle, and Tom yum soup!! I def recommend those to order if you are new and don’t know what to order, I’m so sure u won’t get dissapointed!!! I wanted to try their dessert, sadly I was so full so def coming next time to try out the dessert
The food here was a pleasant surprise! Very tasty, fresh and service was fast! If you like spice, this is is the place for you. They can adjust the spice level of certain menu items to fit your preference. The servers were lovely as well! Highly recommend the crab rangoons and dumplings! They were SO yummy!
Always a fan of Thai cuisine. The balance of spice level and flavors are too good. I prefer spicy food, so got Thai level spice . We ordered some soup tom kha soup, tom yum soup, appetizers chicken satay, crab Rangoon, entrees spicy basil fried rice, drunken noodles, cashew sauce stir fried vegetables with jasmine rice and fried ice cream for dessert which was the best way to end our meal. I loved every dish and the whole group was overwhelmed with the taste and enjoyed everything!!
Our food was delicious. It was our first time there. The only thing that we didn't like was we had 7 people in our group and we had to sit at 2 different booths across from each other. So it was probably annoying to other guest that were there dining. So it will be awesome when covid restrictions are completely done. We will definitely go back 🙂
Excellent place for Thai food! We had some Chicken Satay, Shrimp Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup, coconut rice, fried cheese cake, and fresh sliced mango over coconut rice. All the the food was excellent! The servings were not enormous but definitely enough. I think we ordered a soup, appetizer, and an entree for the 2 of us. I would definitely recommend eating here!
This was one of the only restaurants in Elmira that was open on a Tuesday which appealed to me. I had the Summer Rolls appetizer, and Cashew Nut Sauce on Chicken which I ordered not hot. The summer rolls were excellent with peanut sauce. The chicken was way too hot. I told the waitress that it was too hot and asked what I would have to say in order for it not to be hot and she said ask for the sauce on the side?? Making things too hot is alienating your customers! You should make your dishes mild unless you know the customer and he wants it hot. You can always add heat but you can't take it away!
Beautiful restaurant that was desperately needed in downtown Elmira. Beautiful architecture inside, and tastefully decorated. We only waited a couple minutes to be seated, everyone had to take their temperature and sanitize their hands before seating. Lots of places to sit, there is a bar as well. The only reason I gave this review a 4 star is because of the comfortable-ness of the booths. They were very low to compared to the table which was very high, and there was a huge gap between the two. I felt like I needed a high chair or something to boost me up and be closer to the table. The service was slow, there seemed to only be two servers for the entire restaurant on a busy Friday night, and newly opened. They were apologetic for the wait for our food, and very very friendly. The food was really good, also had good portions. The prices were affordable. The menu was simple to read. Overall I would definitely eat here again, however I would go when it’s not as busy. I’m sure they are working out the kinks of opening a new restaurant and learning as they go.
