The Stand Encino Reviews
Love this place. Our favorite place near our home. Staff is always friendly and the points system is great. Customer for a long time here :)
This is one of my go-to burger places. I have been coming here for years and the food, service, and prices never disappoint. Everyone is kind at this joint and the burgers absolutely melt in your mouth. You can also get additional condiments for free on your burgers and you definitely will always get your money's worth. My build-your-own turkey burger was $10.75 (additional $1 for Cheese) which I found to be pretty cheap for a non-fast food burger. If you live in the area, you should most definitely check it out!
I had a great experience at the Stand. I took my staff there for lunch today for the first time and the food was great, highly recommend the mushroom burger! The service was excellent Zyana was amazing. She was so pleasant, polite and curteous with a smile that could negotiate world peace! Making us all feel welcome and at home. Customer service is big for us, at our company it’s the highest priority so when we encounter stellar customer service we like to acknowledge it! Thank you Zyana! We will definitely be coming back for lunch often!
Love going to this location for lunch and dinner the food is delicious and the staff are amazing. Especially Judith who is always so helpful and welcoming when we walk in. We honestly feel like home when we eat here. The environment is always so relaxing and the food always hits
Lately this has been my favorite spot. Their buffalo chicken sandwich it’s the best I ever tasted. I am not a big fan of spicy chicken but this one, took my taste to a whole different level and made me fall in love with their sandwich. Every week I make an effort to eat the same sandwich. That’s why you need to try it. Also their sweet potatoes fries, ranch sauce on the side is a delicious addition.
Hands down, a phenomenal burger spot!! Delicious, juicy perfectly cooked patties and fresh ingredients! Could eat a burger from here every day. I love that the burgers are more than a mouthful and absolutely pretty filling! Highly recommend building a burger. The chili cheese fries are 🔥🔥🔥
Here’s the revised version with improved grammar: "I love The Stand! This location has been around for over ten years. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining, which is nice depending on the weather. I like the concept of ordering at the counter and having the food brought to you, which makes it perfect for groups. They also host school fundraisers where they donate a certain percentage back to the school. I ordered the Blue Burger and loved the blue cheese crumbles. I’m not a huge fan of BBQ sauce, so I swapped it out for another one, and it was perfect. We also got a kids' meal, which included one side. Everything at The Stand is à la carte, so if you want fries or a side salad, you need to order it separately."
Great hamburgers, good atmosphere, fast and friendly service! This is a place to grab a bite, and chill outdoors at the dining area, conveniently located right next to the Ventura boulevard, this place gets really busy, so make sure to save some time for the line, which goes fast. Drinks were great too! Salads 🥗 and chips with guacamole 🥑 were also great!
Got the Southwest Chicken Sandwich with fire sauce, stand chips, a Chocolate Chip shake & Blueberry Lemonade. Everything was delicious! The sandwich is pretty big, chicken was juicy and the sauces tasted great, it wasn't salty but stand chips were so they went well together. The Blueberry Lemonade was awesome, very refreshing & not too sweet. The shake was yummy too, made well and also not too sweet! It's a nice place with seating inside, lots of seating outside with pretty trees and light decorations. They have a parking lot on the side along with street parking. Prices seem a little higher for the burgers but they're fair since it's pretty big.
This place has always been a go to place for us. I can see a decline in a number of aspects. First no ice over the whole time we were here. They did not deliver our food for 15 minutes. We went up and it was just sitting there and cold. We carried it to our table ourself. It was not crowded but dirty tables and noisy.
The burger was prepared just the way I asked, medium rare. Haven't had one like that for a while. I just didn't taste the special sauce. It was like bun and meat. French fries were delicious. For two people it was like $43, little bit too much.
Pros: The food is great. And if for some reason you have a bad meal there, they will refund you and ask you to please come back at their expense. Zack W. who I think is one of the owners is a communications genius! I'm glad they have so many stores, and they're even in other states now. Good for them, they really have a great menu and deserve to be successful. Cons: DIRTY. Ighhh, this isn't the only location that is absolutely filthy most of the time. I know the workers try, but they have to be faster about bussing tables and sweeping floors and using sanitizer on the table surfaces and chairs. You have to sit outside unless you want to feel cramped. The indoor seating is just not comfortable. I have had some REALLY bad experiences sitting at the tables inside near where the order counter is. They should seriously get rid of those tables and just make that an open space. God help you if you go there when there's a family with rambunctious kids (or, in my case, a kid who preferred to poach on my meal instead of talking to her own parents.) I felt like saying, "Hey Daddy, why don't you engage in some actual conversation with your own daughter rather than forcing her to ruin a stranger's meal?" The solarium area is a tad better - but I'd say the gravel patio with picnic tables is probably the best, although do you really wanna walk on gravel and sit at a picnic table?? The Woodland Hills location is all-around better than Encino. Whenever I go to Encino now, it's just for take-out orders. No more sitting. If I wanna sit, I go to W.H.
The atmosphere and prices are great here. The missing stars is for a lack of knowledge and understanding of food allergies in staff, at least the staff I have dealt with. I attempted to order a bowl with no gluten ingredients listed, and I simply asked if they could double check that the sauces were gluten-free as I am allergic. (This was over the phone order for pick-up.) They said they could not do that and I would need to look through their ingredients list when I arrive. I said I could not order something only to arrive and find out I am allergic. I ended up having to cancel my bowl in the order and only pick up lunch for my husband. This is not only disappointing but extremely surprising to me, especially in a city as big and advanced as Los Angeles. My husband loved his southwestern chicken wrap.
We love the food here, especially the Chinese chicken salad. My sister loves the gluten free bread options. Unfortunately, our falafel wrap was made haphazardly. All the avocado was bunched up in one end, the falafel on the other. Much preferred to have the ingredients spread out evenly. My most recent visit was even worse. i asked if they could spread the avocado out across the wrap and she said they couldn't because it wasn't a spread. Yeah no. slices can be spread out. i order it anyway. And i get ZERO avocado.
The burgers were ok. The brioche bun is a nice touch. Felt the burger needed more sauce and more salt. Their fries were ok as well. The ranch dressing was flavorful. Doesn’t come with any sides so you have to order fries on the side. $60 for 2 burgers 2 sides and 2 beers. Overall not worth the price.
This place has been better in the past. Went after a big lunch rush. Took a while to get our food. Their ingredients are usually premium and well selected. But, today our burgers were awful. It tasted like they use a water bath incorrectly. They were flavorless and had a terrible chewy/mealy but without any charbroil on the outside. Really disappointing; hopefully they fix it. It’s a pretty popular place.
Their Ahi sandwich is usually amazing. Surprisingly good, especially for a fast food place. My sandwich tonight, however (delivery) was absolutely DISGUSTING. The Ahi is supposed to be gently seared. It was almost cooked through and dried out. There was no vinegarette so got a dry sandwich, yet the bottom bun was soggy like someone set it in water. Just gross. The falafel wrap we tried was meh. We wouldn't order it again, but was edible. My friend's chicken sandwich and onion rings were ok. I would have given it perhaps another star, but I just talked to the manager and she could not possibly have sounded like she cared any less about my problem. Luckily we ordered through DoorDash, so got a little bit back on the order. But the food quality and a manager who doesn't give a crap about the food they put out is worth noting for the record.
