Joey's Pizzeria Endicott Reviews
Their gelato is great and the ice cream too. A lot of my friends like the pizza there. If you like a marinara sauce pizza I'm sure you'll love it too. I'm a saucy type girl. Either way, you'll find something you like there. Enjoy!
Excellent food and service. The pizza has a unique flavor being wood fired oven cooked. Other dishes are delicious as well. Great portion sizes that are full of flavor. In the summer, enjoy Italian ice, fresh custard or gelato.
Great food! Gluten free pizza was amazing and sandwiches were too!
Our family has been coming here for years. Some of the best pizza around and the restaurant itself is a great place to bring all your family.
Absolutely delicious food! Only trouble is with the Grubhub interface, which shows that you can order any of the specialty salads free with a dinner, even though apparently you only get a small house salad. Perfectly reasonable limitation, but Grubhub's ordering should show this, and hopefully also allow you to select a salad dressing for that small salad. I'll order from here again, though - really good!
The staff was friendly, the prices weren't bad and the food was DELICIOUS. I got a turkey sandwich thst was EASILY 2 meals. I could eat here multiple times a week.
The Italian ice walk-through window is fun and delicious. The Blue Raspberry dyes your tongue, as it should. The frozen custard flavors are very subtle, but still perfect - smooth and creamy. Serving sizes and prices are reasonable. Across the road from a carousel and park, or there is seating beside the building. A popular area. Limited street parking only, but there is a free lot for the park that can be used.
We love to come to eat at joeys. The staff is fantastic and we have never gotten a bad meal. The food is fresh so delicious!!! Even during Covid shut down it was place in town for take out !!! The pizza and chicken cutlets are best in town !!!
This is the best pizza in the area, bar none! The sauce is delicious, the toppings are high quality, and their brick wood-fired oven creates the perfect kiss smoked crust. Their Italian ices are also yummy.
If you get a chicken parm sandwich, you can actually expect real chicken. It was thin cut and crispy. Easily the best chicken parm sandwich I've ever had. The bread seems to be made in house and is fantastic. Comes with a side of these fried mash potato balls as well. Will be back many more times I'm sure.
My son and I have never had Joey's pizza but when at Davis field for my stepdaughters game, we stopped in. I cannot tell you how much we loved this place. Everyone was incredibly friendly and the food was beyond delicious. And the price was quite decent. My son could not stop raving to the server about how great of a meal he was having. He loved watching the pizza maker too! They even gave him a Joey's apron!
Place is great, I come here all the time and have sense I was a kid, but I have one problem that seems to always be an issue. When it is 100 degrees can we just use bigger cups or something, it melts before I can even walk away and for whatever reason getting napkins always feels like I'm pulling teeth with the employees. Really hope this is something that can be improved on
Delicious food, very fair prices, excellent customer service. Ordered for takeout and already can't wait until the next time!!
Love this place. Their old world style brick oven baked pizza is the best. At a very affordable price too. From their delicious half sheets to their ample sized 5 dollar pizza slice lunch special, always a great deal. And don't get me started on their Italian ice and soft serve ice cream. Superior quality for half the price of these other ice cream shops in town. One of Broome Counties best kept secrets. You never see lines stretched out to the road with these guys, they actually have more people working in high demand times, virtually no wait time. Customer service is amazing there
Needed a quick pizza fix and stopped here to try a slice. Amazing! We just grabbed 2 slices of cheese to go, but I wish we had gotten more it was so fresh and delicious.
I have to say this will be my new place for take-out especially the Lasagna. I have been all over looking for a good Lasagna and I finally found my place. My husband loves Lasagna and he was really pleased tonight. I have also had their pizza and it is awesome. The girl that served me was very pleasant and my food was hot and ready when I got there..Thank you Joey's for the great food and service I will definitely be back..
Got Italian ice with some family, and thoroughly enjoyed it! Fairly quick service, friendly staff. When we arrived, there were a number of folks in line, but the two staff working moved people through fairly quickly. I would definitely stop for Italian ice again.
Fantastic experience. Was in the area for a tournament and looking for place to eat with family. Stumbled on Joey's by dumb luck. Best pizza and veal marsala ever. Chicken alfredo amazing. Wait staff very friendly. Highly recommend! Can't wait to dine here again.
Best pizza in town. When we first moved into the area we had a pizza tasting party and every couple brought a pizza from a different restaurant. This was our pick and it beat everyone, hands down. Favorite pizza: Joey's Choice - it is phenomenal because of their homemade sausage. Their lunch special can't be beat and don't forget to try their italian ice and gelato! Highly recommend! I only wish there was a more spacious seating area.
Pizza and wings were both delicious. I liked the toppings and the fact it was wood-fired. The only thing that needed improvement was the French fries. They had good flavor but poor texture. The service was also fast and effecient. We will definitely go back again and wish we had tried this place out sooner!
Loved the food here. By far, it's the best pizza I've eaten in the states. I can't recommend this place enough if you're in the area. Edit: Came back during another trip to the states. Can still say the best pizza I've eaten in the states. I'd give more then 5 stars if I could.
Very tasty pizza and our wings were super good as well. We had white garlic round pizza and mild wings. I will say that the shoestring hand cut fries, while tasty, were a bit too thin for my preference. Many were burned up little bits of nothing. We also had some Italian ice and it was fantastic!
OMG! The best pizza ever!!! It's small and quaint and we had a little wait but it was totally worth the wait! This will become one of our regular places once we're settled in!
Joeys is a great place to eat. The atmosphere is excellent. They have the most friendly staff. The owners daughter is the best and most friendly waitress I’ve ever had. The food is excellent and their prices are so much better than most places. I’ve never had a bad experience there. Love that restaurant.
Hands down the best Italian restaurant anywhere around. Hands down my personal favorite out of anything I’ve ever tried. Best pizza I’ve ever had and great menu all around. Best red sauce I’ve ever had. Fantastic dine in experience. I would highly recommend it.
I go to Joey's more for the Italian ice, but I have gone for their pizza too. Pizza is amazing. Cooks in a brick oven, which is fantastic if you never had it. Their Italian ice and Gelato are to die for. Very cheap and sooo good. You have to go many times bc there flavors of Italian ice change every couple days. Plenty of Gelato flavors. The only bad thing about the Italian ice side is that it is cash only, but the restaurant takes cash and card.
The gnocchi rabbiatta was awesome. Portion size was generous as well. It's nice sitting on the first floor so you can see the pizzas cook in the Woodfire brick oven too.
Best pizza in town! Italian ice and homemade custard are out of this world. Family friendly, casual atmosphere where you can watch pizza getting made and cooking in the brick oven. I can't wait to come back again.
Besides great Italian food and perfect wood fire pizza!! The service and staff on the restaurant and Italian ice side are both amazing!! Especially if you have kids! The owner is absolutely fantastic and operates a place with a very friendly atmosphere! Best wood fire pizza 🍕
I picked up lunch for 9 coworkers and everything was wonderful. My order was ready on time, the gal who cashed me out was very personable and everyone was happy with their order. We will definitely return!
Wonderful place, I love going here with my best friend after school for a pizza and ice cream, and it's right next to a park, so when the weather's nice, people can go out to the park right after getting their food!
Food was delicious and portions were plenty large enough to fill you up but not so big you need a take home box. Our server and the owner were super polite and nice to talk to. Will stop by again when I'm back in the area.
Have visited many times this year, food has always been excellent. Portions are very generous, priced very fairly. As far as the service level is concerned, has always been quick and friendly. Our server last weekend, I believe it is Nadia, did an excellent job !! Will most definitely return soon.
Joey's is an excellent restaurant with excellent food. They even added a new upstairs dining area/bar that is a bit more trendy than their more casual pizzeria setting downstairs. Even the garden salad was excellent with the blue cheese crumbles and FRESH romaine lettuce and vegetables, not icky bagged lettuce. No one beats their pizza, and their prices are affordable, too. One person in our party had their pork chop Milanese style and she said it was excellent.
I just texted this to a friend: "AVE MARIA!!! My daughter & I went to Joey's for the first time in a while on Pentecost Sunday. We got my 2 favorite foods: pizza & ice cream (theirs is custard). We got a large pie: half fried eggplant & ricotta / half sausage & roasted red peppers. Review: EXCELLENT!!! The sauce was BEAUTIFUL!!! The toppings were high-quality & DELICIOUS!!! The ricotta was SWEET & I LOVED it!!! So is Joey's going into Tier 1? My only drawback is the crust. The dough is DELICIOUS, but it's a little too thick & wasn't crispy on the bottom. BUT, he's DEF above Tier 2. So based on THAT pie, I've created a new Tier just for him: Tier 1.25. From past experience, my only hesitation w/ them is the inconsistency. I've gotten pies like that & have been blown away & other times not as great. Gotta get back there soon & see if they can keep it at Tier 1.25 or even hopefully move up to Tier 1!!! [UPDATE: I've been back a few times & it's hit & miss. Sometimes the pies are better than others. Def inconsistent.] Also got a large custard twist & that was DELICIOUS!!! It was the MOST ice-cream/custard I've EVER had on a cone!!! I LOVE Pentecost & this year the good Lord took me to Italian Paradise!!!" My pizza-rating credentials: full-blooded Italian & grew up in the Northeast Bronx in the 60's & 70's eating pizza from Heaven!!!
What a great place! I brought my family there for the first time and enjoyed all the delicious options! From chicken parmesan to buffalo chicken wings. Definitely recommend whether you just want pizza take out or to sit for a bigger dinner. And their canoli was amazing!
Best food ever - we come from New Jersey and repeatedly come back to Joey's. Wonderful Italian and pizza, but the sandwiches are fantastic also! Great service. Highly recommend!
Stopped in for lunch while in town for work. Opted for a sausage, peppers and onions sandwich and wings. The wings were perfectly cooked, which seems tough for some places. The sandwich was on big crunchy ciabatta bread with lots of real tasty sausage. Turns out mayo is really good on a sandwich like this. It came with chips that tried to outshine the sandwich. Really good all around. Will definitely be back!
Edit: as of October their italian ice stand is closed for the season 😢 I wish it had said that on here before I drove all the way there. Pizza is great! Italian ice is to die for. I keep coming back to try more flavors. Some are very tarty and intense like raspberry and tangerine. Other flavors are more sweet like mango. I love getting 2 flavors so I can experience both at once. The raspberry and chocolate was a surprisingly amazing combination!
Had ordered food on Father’s Day and it was almost inedible, I contacted them same day and the next day I was contacted acknowledging my concern, offered a gift card for the inconvenience. At the time it was a new cook, so understandable learning the ropes! Ordered a second time and the food was great, we even got some more stuff to try the lasagna is amazing!! Will come back and very satisfied with them handling customer concerns! The front staff and pickup staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Joey’s special pizza is great. My mom and I both love it. The pick up experience is nice since you have your own area to check out, not disruptive of the dine in guests.
Joey's is even more than brick oven pizza and italian ice. There's a wonderful restaurant upstairs that is not obvious from outside. Great food!
Haven't had the pizza, butth ice cream was probably the best I have had. Sorry, custard and Italian ice. So Good
Very unassuming restaurant in Endicott but the food was really good. The portions are pretty big and I took half of my plate home. They serve good bread with butter before the dinner. And each dinner comes with soup or salad
GREAT FOOD! Although I've lived in the area for over 20 years, it wasn't till about a month ago that we "discovered" Joey's. The dinner menu is extensive and impressive. The pizza is fabulous! We've had both the stuffed fresh clams and the garlic knots for appetizers...OMG! It can be a little loud when the player piano is engaged, but...the service is great, so the noise is not that big an issue.
Undoubtedly one of my favorite local spots for pizza and Italian cuisine.
Just started ordering here last week, I get pizzas every friday from either Rossi’s, Nirchis, or NY pizzeria. Tonight was my first time ordering their pizza. I got two to go along with 2 cannolis. Before tonight, I just ordered the cannolis as Rossi’s doesn’t have them. Anyways, if you’re looking for BOTH good pizza and the BEST cannolis this might be the best place in Broome county! Not to mention the staff is super friendly, professional and seem actually happy and passionate to be doing what they’re doing which is very rare to see around here! Now that I know about this place it’ll be my new spot to go!!!! I rarely care to give any restaurants reviews because most are just mediocre but Joeys seems to be I little hidden gem for actual good pizza in this area and the staff that’s taken and given me my orders both times I’ve ordered here were super sweet and friendly.
My husband and I both ordered Stromboli! We were able to take out and add another choice/no problem. It’s worth the drive from Spencer to Endicott! ❤️
Joey's is great...all the food is tremendous and the staff is friendly and top notch. I worked in the service industry for 32 years and I recognize and appreciate great service!
Second floor seating is spacious. full bar, all you could want from a family owned Italian restaurant
The best pizza in the area. The sauce especially is excellent but the crust and cheese are both fantastic as well.
Awesome Pizzas and fries ! Good old style pizza place ! We sat right next to wood fired oven. Large pizza is enough for two adults and a kid, Picture features Joey's Choice pizza (sausage replaced with olives ) because of our vegetarian friend ! Will definitely visit again to try other varieties.
Best value for a restaurant in Broome County. Great food. Friendly and attentive service and great food.
I've never been disappointed when going to Joey's. Their brick oven pizza is the best around, their other main courses are perfectly made. Our favorite waitress Amy is bright, funny, quick and efficient. She even put a smile on my grumpy grandsons face. We are blessed every time she waits on us. I highly recommend dinning at Joey's.
I'm from Florida, so this was my first experience with New York Italian food. Absolutely incredible! It was the closest I've come to a religious experience!
Absolutely phenomenal! These guys make a great NY slice, something a little difficult to find so close to the PA border. Will definitely stop by more often!
We randomly went yesterday on a rainy afternoon, and boy the mushroom sandwich was good 🔥🔥🔥 The pasta salad tasted good too, I didn’t like the garlic knots as such, but may be it’s me. The server was super sweet and helped us do this sandwich after making sure there is no egg or meat involved anywhere😊🙏 Will be back soon!!
I love Joey's pizza so much. Everything is delicious and I love the atmosphere when it's busy, they have a player piano on the second floor. It's a great place for a romantic date night. And I'm the summer there is the delicious Italian ice. I really recommend this place if you are looking for a delicious slice.
I placed an order online. The website was straight forward and easy. Pick-up was also quick and easy. Very friendly. It’s our first time having Joey’s pizza and we really liked it!
Man I miss this place so much. I moved out of the area years ago but I can still almost taste their wonderful hot, slightly smokey, cheesy, perfectly seasoned pizza even now. *sighs* Anyone still in the area, please go you won't regret it and if I ever happen to be nearby again I'm coming I'm for a pie. Or 4.
Great traditions here. Gelato in summer when we come up for summer from Hilton Head and Gnocchi and Meatballs and Pizza when we come up for Christmas and New Years! Can’t go wrong at Joey’s.
Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. It’s no wonder why he has been in business for so long. Does an amazing job!
Our first time at Joey's and suffice it to say that it won't be our last! We started with mussels in white wine as an appetizer -- which was a meal in itself! Delicious white wine, garlic, and prosciutto broth with tender mussels and 4 huge chunks of seasoned bread for dipping. For our entrees, my husband had the Chicken Milanese (delish) and I had the chicken Marsala (seriously the best marsala I've ever had). The pasta that came with entrees was cooked perfectly al dente. Large portions...enough to take home leftovers to enjoy the next day! Quality food/perfectly prepared/reasonable prices. Our server was attentive and sweet. After dinner we tried the frozen custard and gelati next door (even though we were stuffed from dinner --- we wanted the full Joey's experience :-) The frozen confections did not disappoint! 100% recommend this restaurant! Looking forward to returning to try other things on the menu!
I ordered takeout. I had the sausage Parmesan with pasta. The people were very friendly. The food was affordable. The only thing that threw me off was I got the pasta and the sausage in separate containers. I've never gotten that from other takeout places. Friends tell me a lot of people prefer it that way. It wasn't a downside just unusual for me.
Joey's has the best pizza around. We've tried several of the other pizza places around the Endicott, Endwell, and Vestal areas and nothing compares to Joey's. I can't speak to their Italian dinners personally, but I've heard good things. Their wings are okay, but the brick oven NY style pizza is top notch.
Thankfully we found a pizza place around here thats worth going to.. And that is Joeys! After moving up here from long island, we have not found any pizza place even close to resembling what we are used to (good pizza) until we came here.. the setup is amazing. Theres a walk up icee window, a door to go and order food to go, and then the door to the sit-down restaurant section.. Our server was Calla, and she is Incredible. She was very attentive and took care of our every need. I highly recommend u stop in here whenever in the area
I am in Endicott for 3 months working at a local hospital. I am ashamed that it took 2 of those months before I found Joey’s. I tried their Large Quattro Carne pizza and it was delicious! I also tried the Joey’s sampler platter. With the sampler, the fried cheese ravioli was amazing. I admit I wasn’t a fan of the ponzarotti but that was a person preference. Everything else was great! Friendly service as I picked up. I look forwarded to trying their subs!
While I can't comment on the full menu or indoor atmosphere, the gelati here is a standout. With a diverse selection of Italian ice flavors layered with indulgent frozen custard, it's a true summer delight. The custard comes in vanilla, chocolate, or a playful twist option, each enhancing the flavor experience. Outdoor seating lets you savor your treat before it melts, a quintessential summer experience. Do note, this spot accepts only cash at the window. For a refreshing and tasty dessert, this place is a top choice.
Unquestionably the best pizza in the Binghamton area. I usually go for the Pizza Bianco without the meat, and it's just a white pizza, but something about the perfectly cooked crust and the whipped, herby ricotta is very special. The red pizzas I've tried have also been really good, my heart just belongs to the Bianco. In my experience the quality has been very consistent over the years. Besides pizza, they also make excellent sandwiches, which I'll get if I'm going for lunch and don't feel like dealing with a whole pizza. Their potato salad side has a unique taste from a lot of others I've tried - I think it's just more mustard and maybe a bit of sugar in the dressing but it really makes a difference. Even without considering the quality, the food is very reasonably priced for the amount you get. If I'm really hungry and only getting pizza, I can eat 4/6 slices of a medium, but a medium could definitely feed 2 if you pair it with a salad or something, or if you're not as hungry. The portions are generous for other entrees. The Italian ice is good. They usually have a good assortment of flavours, some fixed and some seem to rotate. I really like the Cannoli flavour- it has the classic rich cannoli taste but with the lightness of Italian ice. The ice window is only open during the summer, but I just discovered they serve other Italian desserts in the restaurant! I had their tiramisu - I liked how distinct the layers were and the thick layer of cream on top. Even through the lady fingers and cream, it tasted like they used a high quality espresso to soak it. I will not be skipping dessert here again. I haven't seen the new upstairs that just opened, but I love the feeling of the downstairs room. It's cozy, you can see into the kitchen, and it really feels like you're at home being served by family. And it helps that the people are very nice.
It's amazing how I've passed this place 10,000 times and have never tried it until now. I've lived 5 blocks away on the same street as Joey's for almost 4 years now and I've never actually had a sit down meal here. But I will certainly be coming back more often. One time a while back I had their pizza and also a sandwich here and they were very good. But I kinda overlooked the fact that they actually had full dinners here. Well the other day I saw a picture of a meal on Instagram that looked so delicious that I had to ask the person where they were. When they responded with Joey's I was shocked. So fast forward a few days and my lady and I head here for dinner. And boy they did not disappoint. I had fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken and my fiance had penne vodka with shrimp. Everything was awesome. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, really good Italian meal I'd highly recommend Joey's!
The service was very good. However I got the eggplant Parmigiano and it was very dry. There was no extra sauce on it and somewhat tough. I will definitely come back but would not get it again or recommend the eggplant parm.
This place has some of the nicest staff I've seen of any Italian restaurant in the area. The pizza sauce is among the best and the portion sizes are pretty large. The gelatos are unique, mainly because what the ones most Americans are used to are from a different part of Italy from where Joey's hails from. I have some great memories of walking here with the girlfriend on a summer night to the ice cream window for one. My only quibble is that the restaurant/take-out closes relatively early compared to other places in the area and usually isn't open on Sundays.
Their pizza is nice and filling. The crust gets crispy and is not too thin. Even with sausage and pepperoni, the pizza held up nicely without pouring all the toppings off when you pick it up. The mozzarella sticks are also pretty tasty. My only notes are that it is a small place so if you can, order to go. The one other thing is preference, I prefer more rustic and savory with a small touch of sweetness in my sauce but their's is a little more sweet than I like. I didn't dislike anything though, it just wasn't my favorite. Still very enjoyable and would definitely return!
The only issue I have with this place is the amount of space for eating in. Though we have never had to wait long, it's tight and always busy. The food is great! Their meatball subs are 2 meals! Their pizza is the best in the area and I'm originally from NYC, so that's a serious thumbs up. Garlic bread is worth the extra pounds! Take family several times a month and won't break the bank!
Their pizza is good and the calzones look great and are huge but they have ham in them! I got 3 of them for me and my parents and we're vegetarians! The web site says nothing about ham!
Kind of torn. I went here with a friend recently and just got a pizza and two sodas and we sat inside around lunch time, but the amount charged to my card did not match the receipt I was given at the time, and unfortunately I threw it out. I left a $5 cash tip and it appears I was also charged a $5 tip to the card, which I did not write in on the receipt. Either that or the cashier didn't total it correctly, gave me the receipt, then changed it. Either way is an unexpected charge and something was done wrong. For reference the receipt said $18 something and I was charged $22. This also makes my pizza and soda visit $27 total because of the cash tip as well. So even if that is somehow correct, it's too expensive to eat in. I've been here several times and this was the only issue, but it's going to make me think about being charged correctly if I go back. The card it was paid with money was sent through cash app to pay for it so we didn't have to ask the cashier to do a split payment, which means it almost over drafted that account. I luckily caught it in time. This seems like it's possible it was a mistake but I'll never know. The pizza was great, but I'll probably just go to consols next time or order online.
It was a very busy day, and they were short staffed. They worked hard to make our visit a good one. They burned our pizza but replaced it with a new one at no charge. The food was good but the Italian ices were better. I can highly recommend this place
The pizza was excellent, the service was great, the portions were substantial, & the atmosphere was casually comfortable. We had a great time & sat for a long time after we finished eating without any pressure to hurry along by the staff. We enjoyed our visit very much.
Food and service delicious! My family orders sandwiches and pizza here very often. In the last year their sandwiches have significantly changed. This week when we ordered, the chicken sandwiches had what looked like 1/3 of a chicken breast, very small piece didn’t cover 1/2 of the roll. When we used to order there would be multiple pieces of chicken on the sandwhich… so a big cut of quality/quantity there. They stopped including there potato balls (which is fine they didn’t add much) but now the side is smaller. So their portions are getting smaller and prices still rising (like everything). Great tasting food though, a good place with great pizza. Still a favorite, was just disappointed with recent sandwhiches.
Came home for a visit (we live out of state now). Friend suggested Joey's. Ordered a margherita pizza. I gave it one star for being round and one star for looking like pizza, but it was (sadly) absolutely terrible. Cold, soggy, flavorless, sauce tasted tinny (like from a tin can). Tomatoes looked/tasted like grocery store unripe sliced tomatoes, fresh mozz had zero flavor barely warm. The basil was good. Garlic knots were tiny, hard as a rock and unedible, had to throw them out along with half the pizza. When I arrived to pick up my order two employees were throwing around a ball of pizza dough (no gloves) and putting it down several times by the cash register, and multiple places on the pick up counter where people have their hands and sign receipts and put pizza boxes. I really hope they weren't making that dough as a part of someones pizza order. Really unsanitary. There is so much great pizza around the Southern Tier, I'm sorry I can't add this place to the list.
People doing the ice cream were rude and she took forever. My little sisters ice cream that was in a cone was tipping and they wouldn’t give us a dish They said it was because of “cup count” so my mom asked if she could pay for it and one dish was $2.25 for ONE dish. I’ve never had a bad experience there until those 2 people were working. We are giving it a 2 because it was our first bad experience
I have been going to Joey’s Pizza in Endicott for years and always have loved the sandwiches & pizza up until the a year ago. The rolls for the sandwiches are always over toasted then you ask them to lightly toast them and it’s like they are not toasted at all. The pasta salad is under cooked most of the time and not mixed well so you don’t get the dressing. Now ordering a hot sandwich they no longer give you the 2 panzarotti’s they now give you a pickle. My thing is maybe when someone is ordering you should let them know they are no longer with the sandwich to give them the option to add that to the order. If I continue to go there it will be for pizza only.
This is good ice cream, but we took our family of 5 (3 kids, 5 and under) and we split two gelatos. We asked for an extra cup for our two year old and the server refused to give us an extra empty cup. We paid $10 for two desserts, and they couldn’t give us one extra cup. It is making me reconsider going back even as local because it’s such a hassle for really, what, a .10 cent cup? I’ll give you the ten cents…go easy on families with young kids - we need it.
I liked our space, our server was great. I had meatless lasagne. It was lukewarm and huge amount of cheese - ricotta -between sheets of pasta. I had a stomachache all evening, probably the cheese. One of my friends had the same comment about the abundance of cheese. That said, the other pasta dishes looked yummy, folks were enjoying their meals, and the sauce was good as well.
I ordered from here a couple of weeks ago and everything went normal as far as take out goes..but I go to place an order for pick up today asking to substitute the fried ravioli on the appetizer platter for garlic knots to which they said no to..I don’t mind having to pay for garlic knots and the platter but I don’t like fried ravioli so I just wanted to substitute it for something I know I like I’m not sure why they couldn’t just put three garlic knots instead the girl who answered was quite rude too unlike the girl from the first time so I didn’t even trust putting an order in after that..but I thought to mention this in a review bc it’s not everyday a restaurant would deny such a minor thing in order to make their customer happy I’ve worked in food service it just took my by surprise otherwise their food is good imo I left like a 40% tip too last time for a pick up order i guess being too nice today doesn’t get you much lol
The most disgusting Alfredo I have ever had in my entire life! It was super sweet, bland, and had no flavor. It was so bad, I had to season it and even that was not enough to mask the horrible flavor. Wasted gas, and wasted $20.00 to eat horrible Italian food!
Pretty disappointed with customer service...called in an order, the person who took my order repeated the order back to me, order would be ready in 45 minutes. Picked up my ordered and returned back to the house and the order was short mozzarella sticks.... I called back to Joeys, explained that the order was incorrect. Person on the phone said Mozzarella Sticks were never ordered - we had it written down and the person who took the order even repeated it back to us. I asked to throw in an order and the lady said it would be 30 minutes, I explained they are for my daughter, and I wanted to come right down because it was dinner time. Was told the mozzarella sticks were made to order and they would take 30 minutes. Mozzarella Sticks take all of 5 minutes to toss in a frier. Easily could have said sorry for the confusion, we will get those in for you right away...would have kept a loyal customer who has been ordering from Joeys from 10 years.
Order a Calabrese sandwich and get a Barese sandwich. Simple mistake, ok. Call back and tell the guy who took order. I said can I come back and get what I ordered. Dude says " umm i mean, I guess". Almost like it was my fault. So i hung up, not an appropriate answer for customer service, at all. Call back next day, to order more food despite this, and was denied making the sandwich right with me . I order the same thing everytime, i order everytime they have the soups i like. I get a Calabrese sandwich everytime they have garlic potatoe soup or tomato basil like clockwork. Not the first issue I've had here, but it's certainly the last.
Honestly love the food here but after today will never try eating there again, came in with my larger size family to find out upstairs wasn’t open instead of getting a time frame of when we could eat where I could of took my kids to play across the street till we got turned away all together because they had a reservation, didn’t know that meant we couldn’t have a table after other tables were empty drove 25 minutes to still be hungry with kids crying called and said something about how inconvenient that really was person could of cared less
