Beau Sejour Etroubles Reviews
We had dinner here, gnoggi was overcooked, sliced beef not so tender, spicy ribs not spicy but were quite good.
Stayed here one night on the 3rd of July 2025. Hotel Beau Sejour is a lovely hotel on the side of the road from Aosta to the Colle Gran San Bernardo. It is run by people who wish you the best stay possible, although it must be said that sometimes these intentions get a bit lost in translation. Either you will (try to) speak Italian, or hope that Elisa is on duty. Elisa is fluent in English and will understand your needs to communicate to the rest of the staff, or arrange things herself. She is, I believe, an invaluable member of the family and I applaud her for her efforts. While the hotel is situated almost directly on the side of the main road, it is surprisingly quiet at night. Although my room was situated on the backside of the hotel, I could not hear one bit of noise coming from the road. The room itself was adequate and clean. the bathroom was small but functional, as has to be expected from typical Italian hotels. Breakfast was fine, no complaints whatsoever. Lots of choice and also a lot of effort was put into refilling depleted items. Dinner was ok, just don’t expect a lavish menu with a three-star rating. My motorbike stayed in the closed, underground garage for just a few €’s extra, which was a nice upgrade. The whole stay I felt very relaxed and comfortable so I would definitely stay here again!
The place is on a wonderful village. The staff is really great. The cleaner Fatima came after me as I dropped my wallet with my holiday money ..at the bar Emanuela was helpful and smiling i serving us breakfast after time..Elio at the reception and the rest of the team over the phone were always helpful with check in and out.
Lovely charming hotel!! Our room was great, spacious and very well decorated. The only issue was the view a very rundown camping. We didn’t open the curtains. The food at the restaurant was great! And the best was Elio at the front desk, very polite, and professional he was able to accommodate a last minute reservation for us. Thank you Elio so much!!!!
Stopped here for one night late August 23, great friendly service, loveley food and a good location. Staff especially the reception staff were very helpful.
Cosy, traditional hotel with lovely, comfortable rooms and a delicious restaurant, both for breakfast and dinner. The staff were also friendly and helpful, so I’d definitely come back!
Lovely traditional hotel with helpful staff and a great restaurant serving local dishes. Breakfast buffet also excellent. Would recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay with this beautiful locaties hotel and friendly staff. Everything you need; from a delicious dinner and geest breakfast in their restaurant, a drink, a very good bed and great views. A bancomat and charging station are around the corner. Next time we will stay longer to go hiking andbhiking. Looking forward to be back. Thanks Elio & colleagues for your hospitality!

My son and I stayed in this wonderful chalet hotel in June 24 Our room was large and the rate with bfast was very reasonable. We hadn't booked arrived late but the staff were very accommodating. They accepted us for dinner even though we were at a late time. Wifi was good room very clean it was perfect for us. I have seen some negative reviews but my son and I had a great time and I see negative reviews about the bfast but for the money it was very good. If you want a great bfast then soend a lot more money as we thought this was very good value. Dinner was excellent and good atmosphere as it was busy with separate bar. If you're travelling this is a great overnight stay. Cery homely place. Thank you.
Good accommodation but poor Wi-Fi signal and temperatures in rooms can be hit or miss. Stayed twice and would do so again as it's a lovely traditional hotel. The food is very good and staff are helpful and friendly.

The beds were not comfortable and the bathroom is pretty old and moldy. The room was also really dark. The staff was nice though and the interior of the common areas had a cozy vibe. The view of the mountainous landscape was also beautiful.
Too many rules. The owners are so rude with the stuff. From 11pm you don’t have lifts anymore as they turn everything off. If you go out for dinner and arrive after 11pm you have to entre throughout the back door one stair lower and put a code, after walk up by the stairs as the lift is on. Min the morning you cannot choose the table and the breakfast is very poor, besides when something finish it takes looong time to be refilled. Only 2 hours is f breakfast. The check in only after 5pm and check out at 10 with no excuse. It’s a shame, really. The woman there, is the most greedy and rude person I ever seen. The worst: when we left the room we just lock the door of our 2 rooms with only one key turn, when we came back both doors were locked with 2 turn. So, somebody else did that.
Stopped overnight room clean but problems wifi is a waste of time, worked perfectly at a restaurant across the road at lunch but not in this hotel, took 15minutes for a drink order to arrive, had table booked for dinner, not ready! Plenty of empty tables, food under cooked. Breakfast in room information states ends 10.00 it doesn’t it’s 09.30 dirty tablecloth and plate selection poor. Bathroom floor shiny tiles when wet unsafe. Hose shower in bath with curtain, room got very hot and tv did not work. Then the extras at breakfast most coffee extra charge boiled egg extra charge tea extra charge decaf extra charge etc etc park car in car park extra charge. I am sorry staff seemed fine but this business need’s sorting half way up a mountain not enough competition to keep it on its toes.
Drinking water and coffee outside and after that, just order it one starter to share for two person in the bar It’s not correct that they charge for €15 a plate we pay Coperto 6€ for two person I don…
We booked a non-refundable room at this hotel. However, due to the unexpected snow conditions, the road to the hotel was closed, and we had no way to reach the hotel. We hope that we can get a refund (as we have no means to spend a night there and the hotel did not provide any service for us), however, the hotel manager refused to refund after multiple tries. We understand that this is an unexpected situation for everyone, but still, we hope that the hotel could be more flexible regarding this.
Wanted to eat in restaurant but it was impossible to get any service. The restaurant personal just looked us like they wanted us to leave, and so we eventually did.
The most terrible hotel I ever encountered, BE WARNED! Normally with a bad hotel experience I do not even bother leaving a review but this is a whole different story! It seemed just fine when I made the reservation but at arrival there were sick people with masks ‘walking’ around, with sweaty hair and all. Including the older strange man at the reception was wearing a mask. Then they asked me to pay a deposit but as I had to leave early before breakfast so I wanted to pay immediately at check in. They also asked if I needed a wheelchair for my partner, only because I said my partner was still at the car… strange but ok, I thought. So I went to get my bag and when I returned at the the desk. The man with the mask wanted to charge me more than I made the reservation for. I just friendly told him that the price is not correct as I was being told, then out of the blue he started screaming grabbed the copy of my ID and tore it into pieces and threw it in the air like a completely psychotic person and he screamed that I had to leave. His colleagues were standing there also and were full of shame but were afraid of stopping him in his rage. The colleagues silently apologized like they have been hit.. Of all the hundreds of hotels I visited this honestly the most terrible hotel! I feel terribly sorry for the employees working there in a unsafe environment with this person. I had to start looking for another hotel at 20:00 but in the end I am happy that I did not stay in hotel which is full of sick people crawling around and with a complete psychopath working there.
Quick stop there for an easy pasta or something like this. The food was absolutely horrible though. I've tried just one bite of the salsiccia with polenta — that was enough. Pay and leave!
We rented an apartment from this hotel to spend 5 nights and a lot of things went wrong. - We sent over 5 emails and made 4 phone calls to confirm our reservation. - Nobody explained how to get to the apartment when we went for the key, it was like 15 minutes from the hotel. - We reserved this place because they accept dogs, and we were forced to leave the dog in a shelter for a few days. - The reservation for the new year dinner was for 7 people, two veggies. Vegetarian food always came in late or sooner, so we have to wait for the others to have their meal or they have to wait for us. Also they served some lentils with pork for the vegetarians, unbelievable. - The manager of the hotel blamed the chefs when the responsibility was all on his back. The overall service was terrible.
OWNER INCREDIBLY RUDE! We stopped there to eat. The staff is very kind but the owner is incredibly RUDE! She treats her staff AND HER CUSTOMERS very badly. We were waiting to pay our bill for 20 min, because apparently only the owner can take the cash! She was on the phone during this time! Then she even didn’t apologize for making us wait and she said we were rude. She didn’t stop saying very loud that we were rude! I have never seen that! She deserves to close her hotel. Many others deserve our presence!!!
