Martin went above and beyond to fulfill my order! I love the Jalapeno Cheddar bagels and there's no more Au Bon Pain stores around so I called the store and asked him to hold 8 for me. He kept in touch and made sure he would have it ready for this day. He gave me hot and fresh ones and a ton of spreads! Thanks again for your service and fulfilling my request!

Every time we walk by, it smells amazing. We love having you close for a quick coffee or a warm pastry that saves the morning. – Your Strawberro neighbors 🍓

I love this bakery! I had to undergo a mental therapy program for a few weeks or so 2 months and I always went here after I ate. The BLT is so good and they always toast it to perfection. The cheddar broccoli soup is to die for and so is the strawberry lemonade! You should definitely go here if you want a afternoon snack or brunch/lunch! This place isnt usually packed and full of delights from pastries to fully loaded sandwiches! Also, when there was a romaine lettuce outbreak, they acted quickly and used other produce like arugula! I love it here and I can’t wait to come back and have a snack!

The prices are good and the sandwiches taste really good. I love their cookies and their good egg sandwich. I think I’ve only had a problem once with a sandwich, but it was cleared up.

Good soups, sandwiches and salads. I just wish they would put more than one batch of soups out. Working at a hospital for the morning shift, your favorite soup can be gone by 12 and their is no refills.

I often buy sandwiches here for lunch, but I had a bad experience here today. I was ordering a caramel macchiato without milk, and the man behind the counter said in a sarcastic way that they don’t make caramel macchiato without milk and addded that macchiato is always made with milk. Is it hard for him not to put milk on it? Like what I ask from Dunkin Donuts and they just put sweetener or vanilla cream? You have to teach this employee of yours some costumer service manners.

Being on dyalsis and visit 3 times a week at Elmhurst hospital I use this cafe before I start my dyalsis .As there is only one cafe in the hospital the monopoly let Frenchie owners to grab as much profit they can ( eg croissant $3 here which you can buy at Trade Fair Bakery 3 for $2 fresh baked ) sandwich are very fresh and healthy but again expensive ( only affordable by doctors and nurses making more than $80000 a year not patients or poor people living hand to mouth ) . But I did find some great deal for myself .it was bagel ( any sesmee plain everything etc for $1:89 ( free jelly & butter plus toasted Dunkin Donuts charged 0.30 cents each for those extra ) .So I bought 2 or three bagels with jelly ( once the dyalsis starts patient fell very hungry and needs to eat ) . Staff here is very humble and kind .they are professional and take order quickly and serve it fast . place is clean . Sitting arrangements are fine . With the time I noticed that the cafe has a bagel with green jalapenos on it baked ( same $1:89 price ) I tried it with jelly and it was one of the best item I had for dyalsis since I started dyalsis in 2010 . I told all my nursing and security staff here that try that it's only delicious but very affordable . And that was my big mistake now most of the time when I get into the store they didn't have any bagels with jalapenos left ( I believe they purposely made few of them because if everyone want them whose gonna buy the expensive sandwiches . The reason I decided to write a review is first I am among the top 10 % Google reviewers on restaurants The second it's been more than a week that every time I order 2 toasted bagels with jelly ( no jalapenos bagels available) I am informed that they don't have any jelly left last whole week they said their delivery comes on Monday so a wait is to be needed but this week too ( today is Wednesday of the second week the store still have no jelly to put on bagels .I asked the store manager he said he doesn't know why the store is not getting delivery .. In my opinion a Frenchie like this which has an opportunity that no competition is against it ( customers have no choice but this store alone at hospital) they should have their stock uploaded .

This is a lopsided review. I've always liked Au Bon Pain so it pains me to have to give a negative review. I was at my dialysis session and had a friend of mine order lunch for me. I text her the following: Green tea (lots of honey), a Caprese with chicken sandwich and a palmier cookie. After she dropped it off, and having a bit of tea I unwrapped the sandwich and took bite. There was no mozzarella, tomato, arugula, or pesto. This is not a Caprese Sandwich (I said to myself). It's those ingredients that actually makes it a Caprese. So I decided to hold off (after one bite) and would take it back for what I asked for. After showing them my text, the cashier and woman behind the counter said the young lady that put in the order asked for a chicken sandwich and would not replace my order. I thought this was a bit rediculous since I'm not the one that made the mistake and thought they should honor my request (after all I've been a loyal customer for all the seven years I've been on dialysis). I was about go, leaving the sandwich right where I placed it on the counter. They decided to redress the sandwich with arugula and tomatoes and wrapped it back up. I was like, that's still not a Caprese without pesto or mozzarella. They just glared at me. I just grabbed it and left. It's going to be a treat for my lovely pet when I get home. Last time I frequent this location of Au Bon Pain, with an emphasis on PAIN here 😔 ‼️

. Update on May 22 . Coffee as usual cold not hot enough when mix the milk Previous . I am a long time dyalsis patient and get my dyalsis at Elmhurst hospital where in the basement Au bon pain has a cafe .three times a week before going to dyalsis I came here and get two toasted bagels . Today as usual I came ordered the two toasted sasme bagel with jelly and stand waited . All of sudden from my right side ( I have two major hip replacements at this side ) fell on me .I fell on the table ( water bottles kept on those tables) my face down . I had no idea who fell on me a black guy who had a hospital ID hanging his neck hold me and help me standing holding . I was shivering I was also wondering why I am shivering so bad . He asked are you ok . Can you stand by yourself I was feeling a little pinch in my hip which was unusual .I stand and looked at the guy who feel on me he was a employee here at au bon pain .he said he is sorry he slipped because the floor was wet it's not his fault and he try to hold me so I don't fell face down . As I already paid for the bagels I told the manager ( a Pakistani guy ) that I already paid you I am leaving he was busy as usual and didn't give a dam ( could be checked on cameras all that incident time was 2:00 pm . A customer young lady with her daughter in stroller was there ( she was there for oatmeal but as the au bon pain didn't have it she bought almond milk ) She told me you are still shivering are you ok I said yes I am going to get my dyalsis I am feeling pain but what else I can do . She said this is my number I am the witness you need any help I am available . Right now I am getting my dyalsis and feeling some strange tickling and little pain on the right side hip replacement .what should I do now .any one please give me some advice .thanks God bless all of you Ameen

24/7 ' inside a hospital ' bakes once at morning time ' out of most things by midday ' discount after 23:00. This place makes no sense. And, what's worse, this place changed it's ownership or something, but it's no longer "Au Bon Pain". It's soo fresh, the manager doesn't, even, remember what it's newly called. But the manager claims everything else will remain the same.

Employees are rude and just plain uncourtesy. Overpriced and old stale food. Better off walking a block down and go to Dunkin Donut on Broadway.

The annoying moment when they put regular onions instead of pickled onions, and keep doing it every other time and not even tell you. Burned my baguette as well.

This morning the coffe is cold, there was no honey in the container, the milk containers almost empty too. To be honest I don't think the coffee was made at 6 am and the coffe/tea area condiments weren't properly serviced. That girl there from last night is lazy and when you ask her a question she acts like she doesn't care. She didn't do her job over night. I know its the weekend, but c'mon.

Advertising different type of smoothies but didn't have them in stock. I ordered a mango smoothie and it tasted watered down and more like orange flavor. I also bought my coworker a coffee and it was so grainy. I informed them and they told me to pick another coffee and didn't take that coffee with the grain out.

On behalf of a co-worker/staff who had a bad customer service experience with one of the server/employee(Hispanic male, tall) he was very rude and disrespectful after she politely addressed him about m her order that was wrong. He told her that she needs to speak clear English and speak louder, he also mentioned to her that he has been working here for 25 years and he doesn't care who she reports him to. As customer she has the right to let him know that her order was incorrect. She does understand people have bad days, but he shouldn't take it out on the customers or bring it to the work place. She hopes that other customers doesn't experience the bad customer services that she received today, knowing that this facility is located at EHC that it not will reflect on the hospital. Thanks
