Mulberry St Flushing Reviews
Such a great spot when traveling to La Guardia Airport!! Delicious chicken soup, adding tortellini was a MUST, and the arugula salad with the fried chicken dish was to die for. Have to say their Peach Bellini was my favorite cocktail and I cannot wait to visit NY again!! Until next year 🗽o
Outstanding service at Mulberry Street in Terminal B! Mir, our bartender and host, was incredible—warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about every guest. He greeted everyone with a smile and even ran to the kitchen to answer our questions. The drinks were spot-on and exactly what we needed after a long travel day. I was skeptical about airport food, but the pizza was perfectly cooked and the fried risotto balls tasted just like my Nonna used to make. Highly recommend—especially if Mir is behind the bar!
I'm not sure what the bad reviews here are about. As far as airport food, this is a 5-star luxury experience. The burger is good, as are their martinis. By far one of the best dinner experiences you can have in an airport. Update: I have been back for breakfast twice since leaving this review and the breakfast options are by far the best value and quality in the terminal. Still recommend!
We had a great experience here before our flight— Our waiter Sean was wonderful, providing excellent service that was so quick and efficient we were able to have a relaxed meal even though we were short on time. Food and drinks were tasty, and priced competitively (even a bit less than some) for airport dining. We thoroughly enjoyed the views of the planes coming and going.
This is an airport bar and it fully serves it's function. From the bar there's an amazing view of the Whitestone Bridge. The food is good. Everything is overpriced but that's an airport for you. My server was extremely prompt and attentive. They know we're passing through and they are on point. My turkey panini was actually really good! I'll prolly be back next time I fly through this terminal. Solid
For an airport I thought the burger was really tasty. In fact it might be one of the better $27 burgers I’ve ever had. It’s about $2.70 per bite though. So there’s that. The fries kind of sucked. But that’s not unique. I don’t know why so many restaurants have mushy fries. But it’s like a thing. I thought the service was good and the bartender dude seems awesome. Given the limited options that is a step above fast food, I’d go back here.
The service was exceptional (5 stars), but the breakfast was just average (3 stars). Frida was friendly and efficient. She brought us water, and filled our water bottles with ice and water. She took our orders, and someone else brought out our 2 egg, bacon, toast and home fries breakfasts expeditiously. She gave us our check when we requested it, and we tipped her 25% for excellent service! The breakfasts were good, but the food was warm - not hot. We asked for crispy home fries, but they were the usual fare. The bacon was extra crispy and the scrambled eggs were well done. We forgot to ask for limp bacon and barely cooked scrambled eggs. But would it have mattered in light of the average - not crisp - home fries? The restaurant is very nice. It’s one of several new ones in terminal B that we were not familiar with. We ate and relaxed before walking to our gate. On the way to Gate 56 we saw 2 more newer restaurants that we’ll try next time.
I got a Rigatoni Alla Vodka here and it was a little dry. I asked for some more sauce and our server was considerate enough to get us some. Overall the flavour was good and it can be given a try.
People need to chill with their negative reviews. This place isn’t revolutionarily good, but it’s not the cesspool people want you to believe it is. It’s the airport—you’re not going to be have the best meal of your life, but it’s going to get the job done. Plus, the service at the bar was literally perfect. They didn’t constantly bother and pester us to order more, but as soon as we needed something, they were there. And again, this is the airport. It’s going to be expensive. Everything at the airport is expensive.
Completely wide range in the reviews in Google, I guess this indicates lack of consistency. I just had a soup with $1 each tortellini (tortellini was an addition for $3.99 and I got 4 in my plate). Soup was great but with lettuce (who add lettuce in a chicken soup?). I didn’t order a beer, just check the outrageous prices in the pictures… My wife had a prosciutto panini, not really bad according to her. Waiter left us on the drift after bringing the plates, I even had to stand up and go to the bar to get fork and knife for my wife. Not a fantastic experience but you have to remember you ate inside an airport. Most likely place for bad food, touristic traps and poor service. 3-stars are enough to represent this place!
Comfortable for a pre-flight meal. I arrived early for my flight, had time to spare, why not? The vibe was relaxed, wasn't a terrible choice. . I was seated at a two top by someone who looked like a waiter, but I didn't see serve anyone. I scanned the QR for the menu and had time to make my choices before an actual waiter noticed me and took my order. . The first two beers (on the result updatable menu) were not available, so I settled for a Bud Light because I could see a bartender pouring one. I also got the burger and chips. . The burger had a burger about half the diameter of the bun. It tasted good, just weirdly small. The chips were plentiful and well made. Could have used salt, but lots of places are scared to add salt to things that are expected to be salty. . In the context of an airport, overall not bad.
Food was awful and the service was super slow, I mean REALLY SLOW. It's a shame because the cocktails were actuality pretty good but I just can't get over how slow the service was. I would go back for the drinks NOT THE FOOD! and make sure you have plenty of time to spare
This place wishes to be a classy place but unfortunately the intention is not reality. Seating is super comfortable (take the cushy benches) and the service is ok. You might ha e to signal your server if you need anything like pepper and salt …. Very expensive for the quality of the meal. The salad was only pre-washed grocery store salad with not a single addition beside the dressing. The burger was a flat experience both in the taste and the shape of it. Looks more like McDonald burger than a gourmet trendy place. Very expensive for very ordinary food. Make sure your wine taste good, I had to have mine replaced. Overall, the banquette with the access to electricity was the highly point. The wine ended up being good.
I took a huge bite of it and got a mouthful of just the bun and toppings, the patty was severely undersized for the bun. The burger was horrible, it tasted over cooked and hard. Almost 20$ for that, you have got to be kidding me. McDonald's has better burgers. It took around 30 minutes for the food to show up on top of that. This place needs to go out of buisness.
This was a very horrible experience. They burnt our chicken Milanese and the rigatoni al vodka was cold. The Milanese was so dry that one of the participants of the table choked on it. Overall it was really bad and the wait was ridiculous, we waited over an hour just for the food to be terrible as-well and taking it 20 minutes just to bring some wine. The tables are all dirty and they don’t clean them after the customers leave and it seems like the waiters don’t do anything. What the waiter said to us when we wanted to order that the waiter will come soon but if not then we have to do it online so if they dont even take the orders what do they do? What else was shocking was that they gave us a dirty glass for the water. We asked to see the manager which never came over because that took them a while as-well and we had to leave to board, not surprised though . This was simply as waste of money and would much rather starve then eat here. Would not recommend!
Looked nice. That’s about it. Sat down and was about to order using the QR code but waitress came and said to order through her. She gave us menus. Ten minutes goes by. Twenty minutes goes by. After over 30 minutes waiting for her to come back and take our order, we just left. There were only 5 other people in the entire place.
The level of disappointment that I experienced upon receiving my “margherita pizza” from this restaurant is at an all time high. This is literally just a regular NY pizza with a slither of basil…. As a matter of fact, this gives more NY public school pizza. Nothing about the pizza tasted authentic for this to be considered an Italian restaurant.
We ate there Sunday evening at 6:30p. the panini came on very hard dry bread, the inside meat was luke warm, cheese was not melted at all, no sauce...no flavor. The sausage rigatoni had no sauce. The fries were luke warm and had no flavor. The water definitely came from the soda dispenser because it tasted like water down coke. I asked for a refill, but didn’t get it. I drank the water I had in my bag. Very Pricey for blah food. I do not recommend.
I had the Margherita pizza here and it was honestly one of the worst I’ve ever had. The crust was soggy, the sauce was bland, and the cheese tasted off — definitely not fresh. I was expecting a classic, simple pizza done well, but this was a major disappointment. Would not recommend.
I really wish I had looked at the reviews before I tried eating here, I know that it’s an airport, and in fact, after I related my thoughts about the food I was served, the waiter said hey, it’s airport food. Still, it was not busy as you can see from the photos, he did confirm it was made to order so I can take it that whoever was cooking back there thought French toast should be dried toasty bread with barely a coating of any batter and overcooked at that I was served a coffee had to ask for cream and sugar served cream that was curdled got another one and we served my food which was so bad I could not finish it.
We came here happy to grab a meal before starting our vacation and we were blessed with a bug inside our burger. What amazing experience. We didn’t have the stomach to finish our meal. But they said sorry and didn’t charge for the Bug-Burguer. What a bless!! Amazing standards for a Restaurant inside a airport. Pure Garbage🤮
