North Shore Diner Flushing Reviews
Best diner. They do deliver. Everything is prepared just well. They know what they're doing. Last time I ordered I got a chicken masala plate. The chicken and mushrooms and clam chowder soup were great. But the pasta wasn't very good. They could work on that. I ordered around 8 and they out 3 muffins in my order! For free! Not old or anything I'm guessing they just didn't want to throw it ou. Either way. The food in itself is delicious. I highly recommend the chicken cutlet. They're pretty nice of you go to eat inside also. It's a typical American diner atmosphere with an old man reading the newspaper and a family out for brunch on a Sunday. Good wholesome family place. Parking/valet on site. Their prices are reasonable. And The portions... well let's just say they're not cheap
Amazing food and very reasonable prices. Staff is attentive and very friendly. I can't say enough good things about this diner. I will definitely be back soon.
The food is delicious and fresh. The service was great. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere. There isn't plenty of parking even though they have a parking lot. However its worth looking for parking and enjoying a plate of food. DELICIOUS!!!!!
Happy to be back at North Shore Diner! Food is still very good and they are social distancing and have outdoor seating in tents. They also renovated their bathrooms and added motion sensors to faucets and toilets. Great experience!!
The best diner in Queens by far! The staff has been there for years and knows the locals. The food is delicious and they are open late which you can't beat. If you haven't tried North Shore your missing out.
My mother is a senior citizen and handicapped she no longer can use a knife and fork on her own she needs to be fed by others , North Shore Diner helped us out by allowing me to use two tables so I could set my chair on one side of a deuce to give me the room so I could feed my mother and allowed me to use the booth alongside to be able to put our plates to be more comfortable. The food and the service where excellent second to none. God bless you the people of North Shore Diner Merry Christmas have a happy New Year.
It's good to know this Diner is open late. We went with a group of people close to midnight. Service was courteous but a little slow which I will attribute to the late hour. I had a Belgian waffle and it was delicious. Update: went there again last weekend. Service was faster and courteous. Excellent waiter. Belgian waffle was delicious like the last time.
Was visiting and had breakfast there great place loved the atmosphere 👌 large portions priced right ! Keep up the great work. Will stop in again next time I'm in New York. 😄
Great food and service!
I highly recommend this diner. Friendly Staff, great prices for nice portions of great tasting food! They also valet your car, which is fantastic option in crowed Queens! Greek Lemon Soup is delicious. Usually get the Eggs Benedict, Burger and Fries, or Chicken Souvlaki Deluxe which comes with a side Greek Salad and Fries. So good! Their dinner specials are also delicious and rotate often. They customize your order if you ask, (I never had a problem). Great coffee and I also love their Frappe too. My family has been coming here for years and have enjoyed our dining experience each time.
The service was fast, and the food was delicious. The diner is very clean and everyone was friendly. I would recommend it. I will be returning.
Best dinner in Queens. My favorite dish is the hot open brisket sandwich. The gravy is AMAZING and the brisket is cooked to perfection. The carrot cake is AWESOME. Always friendly service and the price is right. The perfect place for homemade comfort food
it was our first foray into indoor dining in Queens. The place was empty but later a few diners came in. The service was great. The food was good. I recommend this diner. The parking lot is smaller now because they set up the outdoor tent.
I wanted a quick breakfast. I order poached egg on rye toast, with coffee and juice. The service was fast and friendly. The waitress could tell I was in a rush as I asked for the bill before I had finished my coffee. She came out with my bill promptly and a take out cup to pour the remainder of my coffee in. It was great that I didn't have to ask, she went above and beyond.
I had a great experience. The food was great, the prices were fair and the enviorment was inviting. The service was really good . My server was Marina who was such a sweet heart. Always checking to see if i needed anything and very attentive. I will definitely be back.
This is one of the last good diners around! The food is good. The service is good. The atmosphere is what you would want and expect a diner to be. It even offers valet parking, so no looking around for a place to park the car. Highly recommend.
Nice, cozy, warm and inviting place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff makes you feel very welcome and they are attentive during your dining experience. The food is great, always served fresh, hot with quality ingredients. I would very much suggest this diner to anyone for a wonderful cozy, warm and inviting dining experience.
Standard diner. Nothing noteworthy to stand out from the last surving diners in Queens. The burger was good and the service was good.
My seven year old son wanted to leave a review because he was blown away by the hospitality. My parents and I came here on Friday night we had such a great time. Staff was amazing. The food was delicious. My Chicken fingers and ice cream was the best I ever had! The waitstaff was attentive and warm. The best people ever . Please support North shore diner ! And I agree with everything he said.
My first time here, and a solid place to return again. I had a excellent and delicious breakfast here at 7:30am: veggie omelette with feta cheese, home fries, and really good toasted buttered rye bread. The omelette was distinctly very fresh and tasty. Very nice service, and overall relaxing easy-going ambiance. By 8:45am, this place was filling up with patrons, and the parking lot was full. Guess everyone else already knew what I had just discovered about this place being a good choice. :) Side note-- nice renovated restroom. There is enclosed outdoor dining in addition to the actual restaurant. Perfect location at the intersection of Northern Blvd & Francis Lewis Blvd. Thank you for the pleasant diner experience! Great start to my day.
Amazing staff from hosts to servers and busboys, too. Always a pleasant and relaxing experience at North Shore Diner. It's absolutely worth the drive. The kids' menu is superb! Thank you again for having us.
First time here and will be coming back to try another menu item. It took me a long time to decide what to get. They have a lot of food to choose from from breakfast, lunch, sandwiches, etc. Pay cash to save on the bill (as advertised). I did not take any photos but this place is accessible by the MTA Q12/13. Q30/31. There is a BUS STOP in front of the Diner. This diner is located along Northern Blvd. (Bayside area) in Queens. They have parking as well.
Wow, just had breaksfast there. The service was great we had a very nice friendly waiter. The food was amazing waffle was crispy cooked very well, bacon well done like I asked eggs were great also. And the coffee was strong and very good. Bathrooms were clean with paper towels instead of hot air dryer. Definitely going back!!
This was my first time coming here and I’m definitely coming back. Excellent and fast service. Oscar was my waitress 10 stars for him.
Have been eating here for over a year. Food is always fresh and delicious. Waffles are my favorite for breakfast, excellent soups, salads, burgers, hot open turkey or roast beef, London broil, triple deckers. Outdoor set up beautifully and very nice inside. Nice portions and affordable. Nice and clean, especially the restroom. And the service is exceptional. Diners in my area of Queens don't come close so we come here often. Thank you North Shore Diner!
My friend and I randomly came here once we decided we wanted to eat some sweets at Oasis cafe. The layout was beautiful and it was all outdoors. The servers were extremely welcoming and kind. Also, they made sure we were comfortable and even offered something for free as well. They knew it was our first time here and gave their honest opinions about specific dishes I asked about. Not to mention the food was cooked to perfection! Everyone here prioritizes your comfort and wellbeing. I’d definitely come back here :)
The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff are kind and attentive, and the food is excellent and delicious. A must-try experience! Translate a conversation
Classic New York diner with all the stereotypes! You'll love it. I had the buffalo chicken wrap with fries for a quick lunch. They even have valet parking!
1st time here and we chose the Challah French toast. Two over easy eggs, and bacon. The plate came with 5 strips of crispy tasty bacon!!! Perfect!! It was so good and very plentiful! I was so full. The Challah toast was very filling! YUMMY!! They also have a large menu to order from with ALL types of options. Not including the pastry menu!
An awesome first time experience. We got there around 12pm on a Saturday. Parking in the lot was readily available. There is also valet parking. We were seated right away. The server was friendly and attentive. The food came fast. The server kept checking up on us. The prices are decent and the food was delicious.
This is a classic, clean diner experience, opened 24 hours. Though it's a $$ eatery, it does offer some low-cost soup and sandwich options. Their burger is sumptuous and their Manhattan clam chowder is savory. If you have the pleasure of having George as your waiter, you're in for a real treat. He's fantastic! He treated me and my kids like royalty. It's definitely a plus that this diner offers dedicated parking.
Been here a bunch of times now. I've never had a problem getting a seat, unlike the rival Blue Bay Diner, which is very often packed. Their Greek salad with chicken is nice, big, and refreshing and comes with 2 stuffed grape leaves. The lobster bisque is a thick puree, likely from a mix - the opposite of what I was expecting, but I still liked it a lot. The Greek chicken lemon soup is done better, more like homemade - good and lemony. The chicken gyro really hits the spot. The chicken is cut into scallops and then stacked into the pita - I've never seen it done that way before. I'm a fan of their mashed potatoes, which comes with a side of dark rich gravy - twice now I've ordered it alone! It's a nice generous serving when ordered as a side.
Nice establishment as far as diners go (I've worked in a few of them in a course of 7 years). Good food and fairly priced. Awesome service as well, the waiter was on top of is all the time and never got mad or rude with our requests. I'd definitively go back.
The usual diner experiences. The service was excellent, and the food was about average. I had the bacon and eggs breakfast. If you're in the area, it's a good choice.
I bumped into a old friend a few week's. Before we both lost track of each other . He and I would go to the the diner from time to time . . . . We meet at the diner once again . Owe waiter was fast to come to owe table . He had a good sence of humor. I didn't get his name . Owe order came right a way . Everything is neat and clean and is order. All the staff are nice . The food is good . Unfortunately everything went up . With the tip it was 45 dollars or so . It is a nice place to eat . They do have there own parking lot . . Have a good weekend !"
Decide to come for a late dinner. The diner was empty for a Thursday night so we had good service. The food was also good. Our only concern, when we were paying for our meal, a mouse ran across our table. Didn't say anything, and we just left quickly.
Normal great NY/NJ diner. Extensive menu for any time of the day. Good seating area. Clean and bright. Great service. Had the triple decker tuna and egg sandwich. Came out fast and was done correctly. A generous portion of sandwich and potato salad on the side. Worth a trip back.
This is my 2nd time eating at North Shore Diner. I enjoyed the meal both times and would return for that and the very nice supervising manager. The staff weren't as welcoming to me which is why I took a star away. One in particular acted like he didn't want to serve me. But, the supervising manager is a very stand up, professional and welcoming guy.
Breakfast was ok, Bus boy was excellent and attentive. They do have valet parking. I didn't use it that day. I've eaten there several times before and would recommend them to others.
This was my go to place in Flushing. I knew all the staff here , It was a place in Flushing, Queens with american menu that stayed open late and had reasonable prices plus parking. However, the prices had gone up so much that I have stopped coming. I visited again for my daughter breakfast bday, for all times sake
Typical Greek diner....no more, no less. About 1001 things on their menu....they may need to condense it and focus more on people's favorites. Food is served fast and prompt and nice and hot. Portions are quite large and pricing is typical diner pricing and place can get a bit loud. If you like the typical diner atmosphere this is for you.
This is a great diner but the prices are steep
In theory, this restaurant should easily be 5 stars. The service was great and quick. The guy with the water pitcher was nice with it, and the guy who brought the food out had like 10 plates at once which was impressive. Valet was quick too. The food was good and the restaurant was clean and quiet. So why 4 stars? Because a 5 star restaurant is a step above the rest, and unfortunately North Shore Diner lacks the pizzazz necessary to set it above the rest. Also this place is pretty expensive.
The atmosphere is nice. Service is great! Food is slightly above average of what I have had to eat there, could honestly be better. The prices are absolutely outrageous! I have never seen prices this high before except in high class restaurants, the food is like I said good but definitely not worth the price!
Went for an early dinner, and the place was just becoming busy. My sister had chicken franchise, which was very tasty and good portions. I had a Chef's salad with grilled chicken. It was very tasty, and I had enough to take home.
I'd been living here for years but never stopped in, and now that I have moved, I finally tried it. I had breakfast anytime with a Western omelet, and my wife had a burger and fries. All good. Good diner if you're in the area.
This is one of my go-to places. However you have to stay on top of them because several times my order is incorrect. Sad part it was delivered by the time you find out the mistake it's too late and do you want to wait for them to bring it back. There is some type of disconnect between the person that takes your order and the person is actually making it if I ask for American I get mozzarella. When my this is supposed to have cheese there isn't anything. Those are the sort of things that happened the funny part is person taking the order on the phone reads back everything I said and may still be wrong with that said the food is good the people are nice
They are very hospitable and treat children very kindly. Gorgeous christmas tree in the middle of the diner gives the place a very classy look.
One of the best diners in the area, also the prices aren't sky high like the Blue Bay.
Service was extremely fast!. Wait staff very attentive. My over easy eggs with bacon and French fries was excellent. Coffee is pretty good. Also shared the waffle and vanilla ice cream with my sisters which was very good.
The wait staff is attentive and the food is okay. I asked for a cobb salad and was served fresh lettuce, black olives, green peppers with lightly cooked bacon and sliced American cheese cut into pieces. What happened to the eggs, crispy bacon, avocado, blue cheese...
I'm not sure when diners decided that home fries didn't need green peppers, but here they've decided they dont need onions or seasoning either. I like this place and almost everything I've had is good, but wow, the home fries are depressing. Get the French fries instead.
I've been here a few times quite recently and here's my assessment - The food will come served in the shape of what you ordered, but it all has the same taste. Bland. Also make sure you bring cash because they charge 4% fee to use a card.
The service from the manager was attentive and caring but our waiter was unaccomdating to our my friends health and ordering requirement but in the end he brought everything she asked for. The food was average in overall taste. I had a omelet with rye toast. My friend had a rib eye steak and vegetables. She didn't like very much the steak. We had fruit at the end and it was good.
First visit on Sunday, June 2, 2019. Place wasn't quite busy yet. Upon arrival, the two hostesses at the bar did not greet our party, and the young woman with her hair down, in a jumpsuit and a lot of makeup, was particularly off-putting. They clearly saw us, were not otherwise occupied, and yet ignored us while they continued on with their conversation. Food was decent but the mature tall lady who served us was the star of our meal with her kind and efficient service. On our way out, the aforementioned hostess sealed our mediocre experience with her RBF. Not my problem but she appears to be the wrong choice to be the face of a business.
Been going here for years. Great service and good food. It's a diner and does exactly what you think it does. Why it doesn't have 5 stars? Well it's not open 24 hours on Friday as advertised. Went around 3:30 AM. Parked in the lot and some man standing outside aggressively asks what we are doing. My friend responds that we came to eat. The man responds even more aggressively "well can't you see it's closed." He proceeded to walk in to diner. We passed by again after a half hour and there he was standing there. So I'm not really sure what the Friday hours are.
I like diners in the NY area. They give you excellent selection, good, fast, efficient service, and the food is good and predictable. North Shore Diner was pretty good, a bit expensive even by NYC standards. The food is OK (we had the typical 2 eggs dish for breakfast). Parking is a bit challenged because they had a small lot, but that's not unusual for NYC locations. It's a good alternative to the many "Asian" places nearby for the times you just want some old fashioned American food.
Diner used to be better when I was a regular 10+ years ago. Prices have become outrageous. 8 dollars for a small cup of cranberry juice and 8 dollars to add fries to a 12.49 salad wrap is insane. At least food is still good. Not out-of-this-world good, but good enough...until i got the bill. the bill soured the flavor. I came here because bayside diner closed. They never used to pull this kind of stuff. Not many great diners left.
I've gone a couple of times. The food can be hit or miss. My mom ordered the Italian wrap, and it was watery and had no flavor. She complained the whole time. Only ate half of a half. She liked the fries. I had the turkey wrap it was dry. Not a lot of flavor, either. I'm not sure what's going on with the flavor that day. I raved to my mom about before now. I just feel let down. It's just Meh.
Lovely diner. Good food. Good people. BUT …. prices are now sky high for non breakfast items. Refuse to spend this kind of money for lunch. Not going back anytime soon.
A friend and I went eat there, they have specials. Where you can buy one for certain prices. The pancake deal is 15 dollar. Is 2 or 3 pancakes 2 eggs cook how you like it and sausage. I ask for the with eggs and turkey sausage. The waiter put the order in separate and put chocolate on the pancakes which I did not ask for. That meal alone cam up to 30 something dollars it was lunch time at that and I had grapefruit juice. And he had a nerve to ask me how many stars I would give him 0 plus No tip. He should say well we specials which is cheaper. Oh I had coffee taste like hot dish water. The place is good make sure you get the female waitress they are good with helping you with the manual.
Pro - a open 24H. Good menu selection. Modern, clean and well maintained. Con - Minature parking lot. Good can be hit or miss. Recently had under cooked pancakes and scrambled eggs, really? Mentioned it to server and manager, neither of whom even pretended to care. Severely over priced... Especially for raw in the middle pancakes and soggy eggs.
I have always been a frequent customer. The service is very good and food well like diner food. Tonight I was very disappointed. I order a tuna sandwich on rye. It was light not white tuna and tasted old. The Cole slaw was sour. The rye bread looked brown and looked like whole wheat and waiter insisted it was rye. Even the iced tea was terrible. The place was empty and it was 6:30 on a Friday nite. I am really sad because I loved that place. Sadly I cannot go back there again. Neptune Diner is much better on Bell and 35 Ave.
I went today and asked for an Italian wrap with homefries and we waited 1 hour despite the fact that there were not many people in the place. When they brought my food they brought french fries instead of home fries and the egg in the wrap was burnt, tasteless and made me feel sick in the afternoon. I do not recommend the breakfasts however the sandwich looked very good but I would not go back!
I went to this diner because it said it was rated 4.1 stars, the food was more on the 2 stars. I never write negative reviews especially for diners because I know the food that is there but if it’s rated with 4 starts or above, my expectations are mildy higher especially ON SIMPLE BREAKFAST. I order Challah French toast with eggs, ham, sausage and bacon. The French toast, off the back, thee worst. Nothing close to challah bread, it was orange, greasy and just poorly made. The ham was mildy warmed on one side and on the other side, it wasn’t at all as you can see. The scrambled eggs were okay. I don’t recommend ordering this. Customer service was alright. Sweet waiter and workers.
I used to come here weekly pre-pandemic and it was packed on the weekends. Breakfast all day was the best reason to hit up the diner. And to grab a nice cup of coffee or a bowl of soup. Now, the prices are sky high and the portions are smaller. I ordered a cheese omelette with fries (to go) and they forgot the cheese! The fries were more disappointing, just the pointed ends and no good pieces. I also ordered a pork chop entree that was supposed to come with apple sauce (it was missing) and soup w/ a side of mixed vegetables. The pork chops were dry and the soup container felt like it shrunk! It was such a let down. I also ordered pancakes which were completely burnt on one side. Never again.
This place used to be good. We ordered a simple diner staple cheese burger deluxe with chicken wings. The burger was bland. It seemed like a frozen patty was put on the grill. The lettuce seemed old and not fresh. The chicken wings were okay also frozen, not fresh. The bus boy is the one who does all the work waiter, just collects the order and gets the tip. I hope they share tips at the end of the shift. I wouldn't go here again. Quality has gone down significantly.
I've been going here for years. Today I ordered Fish and Chips. They couldn't serve coleslaw they didn't have any. $30 for not a great meal... will not be going back, i don't recommend this joint.
Food was disgusting. Ordered hot open turkey sandwich. It was cold actually smelled bad. I wouldnt feed the limp salad to a starving rabbit better yet he probably wouldnt eat it. I almost barf thinking about that meal. Where is the food inspectors when you need em?
I eat here yesterday with my fiancé and daughter. The service was okay. The food looked alright. I took my leftovers to work and become gravely sick! It was food poisoning. I will never EVER come here again. Stay away. They don't know how to prepare food properly.
Unfortunately a Hit or miss place. I've come for breakfast & had good food. However came for dinner with friends only 2 of 4 liked their food. Fries were overdone sandwich was anemic looking and chicken arrived lukewarm. Not coming back. 9/30/2021 Made a mistake today and came in for breakfast I wish I could give it a minus star the scrambled eggs were squishy the potatoes undercooked a fly landed on my toast and when I complained the waiter said let's replace it no money off sorry not sorry never ever coming back it's also overpriced.
The service was horrendous!!!! They gave me my bill in the middle of me eating!!!!! Couldn't believe it! Didn't even ask if I was ready for the tab, or wait until I was finished eating. Then took for ever to give me my change back.. I had to get up and walk to the cashier by the door to get change.. and the woman in the front gave me a hard $10 back as if they didn't want a tip. I only spent $10 on breakfast sat by myself for a 20 min on my break from work and they ruined it for me. I left a note on the receipt I was too angry to even speak! North shore diner be careful to the next person you do this to because I felt discriminated against and targeted!!!! The next person you guys do this to might swing a lawsuit your way!!!!! I spared you guys!
Last night, my family and I decided to go to North Shore Diner a place we have went a couple of times. My daughter ordered a roughly $25 dollar fried chicken meal. When it came out it was fried bones. The fried chicken was actual fried bones, I believe the owner knew something was wrong with the dish as he came right after the dish was brought to our table and kept asking if everything was ok. Well definitely it was not ok. He offered to changed the order but no matter what that was not what we went there for. My son had to wait for over 30 mins to have another dish made. Definitely not going back. Owner offered a cookie to my son as an apology. NOT WORTH IT!!!
Crapola service, food & overpriced!! Manager is a jerk as well asking us to leave after we spent 35 bucks for 2 lousy egg breakfasts, were finished eating but still drinking our coffee. Zero stars and avoid at all costs. it seems they don't want Latinos eating here. 👎👎
Three of us dined here.... none of us liked our food. Very very mediocre taste, even for a diner. I won't go back here to eat even if the meal was $3 each. We drove past Wendy's after leaving North Shore Diner and we all exclaimed we could have had better and much cheaper food from Wendy's. Never again!
Horrible staff, threw the bill at me, literally, when I change my mind on a order it was an issue, demanding why don't I want it, to hurry and buy it. When asked what we wanted to order, I just wanted one dish and the waiter barked back "I DIDN'T ASK YOU THAT" . You don't treat customers like that. My first time going and never going back, I didn't even wanna spend my money with them after all of that. My first experience was the worst experience. Rather go to the gyro across the street which is was nice and food taste better. I didn't even like what I got, it was so bland I had to add seasoning with it to make it taste better.
Extremely disrespectful waiter. When trying to order food, waiter got annoyed that I tried to see the menu after I ordered. He kept telling us to wait whenever we asked him for refills on drinks or condiments. Also ordered buffalo wings and came dry with no sauce. Additionally, burgers were served without listed ingredients. Besides that, the food was very overpriced ($22 for a burger) and waiter questioned why we walked into the restaurant without a mask although everyone was vaccinated. Furthermore, although it was 15 mins until their closing time, they turned off most lights in the restaurant and waiter forced us to take the bill without asking if we needed anything else. Lastly, waiter complained about a poor tip which was deserved. Would definitely not recommend especially if you need a late dinner. Not sure how the staff is earlier in the day
I just don't understand, 3 breakfast for Family of 4 coast $100 Not Including Tip 3 orders of Breakfast 2 orders( 2eggs, home fries, Bacon and Adding sausages), 1 order (2 eggs, Fries, Bacon adding Sausages) round up to be $75 Plus 2 Cups of coffee, 2 small Orange juice for $5.75 each ($11.75) Comes out $98 after 3.99% fee for Card use, You guys are charging about $25 per breakfast? at the diner? On the menu Two Eggs any Style with Hem or Bacon or Sausage is 13.99 Adding additional side add additional $11? Food was pretty Bad Coffee tasted like its been sitting there for hours. Sausage Tasted like its was microwaved and Cooked it became hard after 10 min ..
I've been a regular here for 20 years. I probably will never return. The food has slowly gotten worse but thats not even the main problem with this diner. My last several visits have been terrible. The new servers here are just horrendous. They don't care about you and they are up selling in very deceitful ways. The manager Tasso is a rude and disrespectful person who really has no care in the world if you ever revisit his establishment. Avoid if you want good food. Sadly many of the diners in the area have also started to go down hill. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Well, where do I start? My co-workers and I decided to check out North Shore Diner for an early lunch today, and boy, was that a mistake. The only thing that started off well was being greeted by a valet in the parking lot. It seemed like a classy touch at the time, but in retrospect, I suspect they’re there to distract you from the horror that awaits inside. As someone who’s eaten MREs and field rations in the military, I can tell you that even those meals would be considered gourmet compared to the slop we were served. The food at North Shore Diner is a masterclass in blandness. Seriously, if you’re looking for a meal where flavor goes to die, this is the place for you. We ordered cheeseburgers, asking for them to be cooked medium. They arrived well done and tasted nothing like meat. If there’s a prize for the most bland burger ever, North Shore Diner would win it hands down. A bit of salt and pepper might have gone a long way, but apparently, those are luxuries they don’t believe in. One of my colleagues went with a Reuben, and it was a revelation of how to ruin a classic. The meat was unseasoned, the sauerkraut was flavorless, and the bread was so soggy it felt like a cruel joke. The surprise of a soggy bottom was a special touch we could have done without. And let’s not forget the bill. A jaw-dropping $66, which ballooned to over $80 after tip. We tipped, of course, because the server is not to blame for the culinary catastrophe. But honestly, I’d rather have spent that money on a meal anywhere else, even if it meant foregoing the valet experience. In summary, if you’re in the mood for a dining experience that will make you question your life choices, North Shore Diner is the place to go. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. Your taste buds will thank you.
We took our grandma there today for her 81st birthday. The waitress was super friendly and attentive as were the bud boys. However, the food was atrocious! They give you a lot of quantity but the quantity is extremely poor. My mom ordered a seafood platter, my sister friend calamari and you could tell that it’s frozen seafood, poorly battered, flavorless and the vegetables were over cooked. My grandma order the salmon, that seem to be ok but again, not well seasoned. I had the eggs Benedict that came with homefries; the bread was burnt and the homefries cold and overcooked. I don’t know how they managed to do that, I’m guessing they overcooked then and just let it sit there. The Bill came out to $155 including tip. I will never again set foot in this place. Really disappointed
The food here is very overpriced and nasty. The tomatoes from the salad tasted like dishwater. Why would you put the cheese on the bun and not the BURGER? It’s called a cheeseburger not a cheesebun. Idk how they have so many 5 star reviews with such horrible food…
