Mexquite Folsom Reviews
This Mexican restaurant is a fantastic choice, especially for vegetarians, with plenty of delicious options. The nachos paired with their freshly made guacamole were a real treat. There’s ample seating, and the service is quick and efficient. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are quite reasonable. Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try.
Hey there! The street carnitas tacos at this place are absolutely scrumptious and loaded with meat. And get this - they serve them with double corn tortillas, so you end up with four tacos 🌮! The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of options, and they even have a full bar. The outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying a pleasant evening. The attentive wait staff ensures you have a great dining experience. Just a heads up, they do charge for chips and salsa. While it may be a bit on the pricier side for a Mexican restaurant, let's be real, who isn't these days?
There is always a friendly face to greet you, followed by a tasty authentic Mexican meal. This was a steak burrito that I devoured. Try one the next time you are in.
Food was good. Tasty enough. Burrito was large. I'd order it again. There was a charge for chips and salsa, but they were very generous with giving second and third servings of chips and salsa. Margarita was miniature and not that good.
My parents had been here before but I had never! It was so good AND special of the day was quesabirria tacos that hit the spot. Made my day! Great atmosphere & decor, kind service, and I’ll have to come back for happy hour in the bar. Thank you Mexquite & see you soon!
Mexquite has a large outdoor patio that is shady in the late afternoon / early evening - just perfect. Delicious salsa and guacamole! We tried the steak fajitas and shredded chicken burrito and we each had a margarita. Fantastic service, loved the patio. Next time we look forward to trying the mole.
Awesome Service. Excellent food. This place came as a recommendation. I'm glad I stopped in for a bite. Next time I'll save room for dessert. The complexity of the flavors in Huchinanago (I think that's how it's spelled) was amazing. Off the beaten path but worth it.
We stopped by for some lunch, enjoyed chips and salsa with guacamole, I had the grilled chicken street tacos and they tasted good, I added the guacamole and salsa on my tacos and it was delicious. Enjoy
!!!!! BEST Quesabirria in town !!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you for making these!! We have been coming here for years. We love the margaritas, carne asada red burrito, chips and salsa. Staff is always SUPER nice and quick. Tonight however, we walk in and they had a ‘special’ for these bad boys on the board - not menu! Sooooo - call ahead to see if they will have them. It’s only on special and NOT on the menu (yet). Soooooooooooooo (I can’t say it enough) good & authentic! Please put them on the menu!!!! 🤣
Margarita was really good and they have a good selection of really good tequilas. Ordered street tacos and a burrito - everything was good. Habanero salsa was very good. Sat at the bar and service was excellent. Not sure why bad reviews, would say try it for yourself, we had a good experience. We also aren't bothered by paying for chips and salsa like most reviews complain about.

Love this place most of our office lunches are bought here. Mexiquote burrito and the fajitas are always great.
A really nice restaurant. Huge, huge portions. The prices are steep but it is worth it for the amount of food you get. The wait staff was excellent. I thought it was a chain but he said it is a family-owned business which surprised me. They had dishes from different parts of Mexico. My husband said that the margarita was strong. Highly recommended.
Good food, friendly service, nice atmosphere, and somewhat cheap. Good for an affordable meal for one if you just get water and a main dish. Chips and salsa are NOT free — they are $4 as of writing. Just be aware of that. Chile Verde burrito is among the best dishes here, would recommend.
Oscar was absolutely amazing! He was so attentive and sweet to my family. Ended the dinner with my a dessert for my sisters 19th birthday.
We've eaten here twice now. The food is so good! We've had the "divorced eggs" -- two kinds of eggs with different sauces, the chilequiles poblanos, chicken tacos, carnitas enchiladas, tamales, and guacamole. Every dish is excellent. The sauces are nuanced, and every one has a special distinct flavor. The service, music, and prices are also excellent. We can also eat on the back patio with our dogs in the shade. They even have misters on hot days. We're just sorry we didn't discover this place ages ago.

Servers were fast and friendly. Everyone was happy with their food. Price is up there but what isn't these days. I got the mole enchiladas and I was happy with the portions, but it was a little bland. Black beans and rice were a great side dish. Flan was creamy and rich.

It was alright nothing to write home about. I had the cheese enchiladas I thought the sauce was a bit to sweet and you had to pay for the chips and salsa which was a bit strange. The service was good .

Nice place, charge for chips and salsa,, which had no heat but tasty,, shredded beef burrito smothered was good, a little shy on guacamole for nearly $20.
Overall was decent. Got the chicken and steak fajitas, could use more flavor. Portion size was good with exception of the tortillas. There were not enough tortillas and more cost extra. Additionally when you first sit down they ask "do you want water, chips & salsa?" but fail to mention chips and salsa is a fee. Happy hour drinks were good but smaller than expected.

Food was really good. Low rating because we had to pay for chips and salsa (never have I ever at a Mexican restaurant). The menu said $2.99 our bill said $5.00 (served in a paper boat). The water cup I got had a crack was leaking. I had to ask for another one after not getting one for 10 minutes. Again...food was delicious but service was......
Chips and salsa are good. Service is good and our food arrived quite fast. I ordered Steak Ranchero, for $18 it is not worth it. Steak tastes like canned beef.

Don't bother going here. I live close by. I have been here before and it was okay. Not great, not terrible. My wife went to Europe. I'm starving at home,so I go by myself. It's always a little awkward dining alone. I walk in standing there and Bartender says sit anywhere. I walk through dining area and looks almost empty. I see the patio and it looks good. I sit down. Nothing. Nothing for 10 minutes. Workers inside talking amongst themselves. I can go get one,but is that how it is these days. I'm pissed. Go to Bartender and ask for manager or owner. She says no manger. I questioned that. I said I need phone number. She doesn't have phone number. I find that hard to believe. The manager did arrive after 5 minutes. Bartender is a liar. Had talk with manager. Not much she could say or do. I left and went to Taco bell
