High quality home cuts of meat chargrilled over an open flame. As a kabob enthusiast IIsay this place is Delicious. ThajsT!

The best food, and nice service
Guys this is beyond awesome i had lagman three chicken kabab, amazing the most delicious food i ever had i never experienced that fullfilment guys definately recommend this place... fartuna is beyond amazing.....
Amazing food amazing environent alot of lighting. We had the salads and shish beef kebabs. Highly recommend for authentic Russian / Bukharian food!!! The owner Nadia is super friendly and sweet, this restuarant is like being at home. 5 Stars for service, food.
Food is amazing The only con is sometimes the service sucks .. when there a lot of people in this place it takes a while for food to come out . my suggestion is hire more staff for bigger party’s !! But everything else amazing love this place always fresh and always clean not like the other ones around here , definitely worth a try if you want good food
Best food. Love it. Always fresh and delicious. Place is very cozy and welcoming highly recommend!!
Outstanding Uzbek cuisine in Rego Park, Queens New York City
Very good food and music...... Amazing food, decent prices! Good for family dinner and some events! Everything was delicious, service was great! Thanks....
Excellent food and decent service. This is the way to prepare chicken, many don't know how to do it right, but here they do! And samsa was divine
Reserve in advance if coming in on a weekend, especially at night. Should also reserve and ask for lamb kabob on the bone and veal sweetbreads, as they go fast. The mixed PLOV is the bomb (veal tails, lamb osso and beef with rice, herbs, etc) I hear they buy most of the bulk of meat from Aaron's gourmet...and those guys know meat.
The best food!!! Owners are the best 👌 thank you for a great atmosphere 👍
Excellent food, perfect service. Best out of the best! Highly recommend
I have been there with my family and we all loved it. The food is AMAZING, very budget and come pretty quick.
Food is very tasty and authentic! The staff is very respectful and courteous, I definitely recommend this place to people!
Excellent food! Everything fresh and authentic, service is outstanding, you need to try this beautiful restaurant.
Great people, great service, great food. Loved it
Absolutely gorgeous and delicious food, service are perfect and everyone is so friendly
Great clean place and atmosphere. Food is very delicious . $$$.
The food was excellent. I loved my waiter Faha I would definitely recommend this restaurant
Delicious Uzbek and Russian fusion, good choices of fish and meat shishkababs and soups. Kosher. Nice atmosphere and staff.
Always fresh food. Highly recommend it 👌
Been first time, very clean, great place. Service was great as well the server. Will be coming more
A true gem in the heart of Queens. The area boasts a ton of "Bukharian" food, as we like to call it in my neck of the woods, but Nedezhda stands out from the rest. Crisp salads and fresh meats. Really, everything here is good. My go-to skewers are the skirt steak, lamb ribs (emphasis on the "ribs"; much better than the lamb chops), the lula kabob and the calf liver. Everything is fresh, juicy, and cooked properly. They also use fresh garlic on their french fries. The food is so good that it makes up for their below par service (really slow and confused work staff; although they are always respectful and kind). Nonetheless, a 10/10.
Food is good, never disappointed.
Delicious food, fantastic service. I would rate 10 stars for chef if I could. He came to our table couple of times himself just to make sure if we are satisfied. Good job Nadezhda Restaurant!!!👌👏
The food was excellent. I loved every bite of it but most of all thank you for delivering so far in Brooklyn
Hands down, the best restaurant! The food is incredible and the atmosphere is pure happiness.
The best and delicious food!!! I love the fast service and the owners are very friendly and accommodating! Thank you for always taking care of us💯.
I had my grandson bday party at this place on June 29 . This place was great choice ! The food and service 5 stars , the atmosphere was so cozy and joyful. All of my guest were very pleased . The food was very tasty . I highly recommend this place if you want to feel comfortable, eat delicious food , and have a good time .!!! Thank you very much to all the staff that helped make our day so special.
I dropped in one afternoon alone while shopping in the area. Food was great. Yes, I had to wait for service, even though it was not not crowded. It's a cultural thing, I suspect, emanating from a place and time where nobody was in a rush and nobody was expected to be in a rush. Be prepared to be patient and polite. You won't regret it.
This place is amazing, and very clean!! Atmosphere is great they have music everyday which is awesome!! The service is amazing waitresses are helpful in every way and kitchen staff are fast and helpful as well!! If i could go on i would love to there nothing bad at this restaurant that i could say!!
WOW! This place is just excellent. I got the borsch, homemade dumplings in soup (double soups cause it was cold), bread, and a lamb kebab. They were all excellent. I’ll absolutely be back!
Excellent food, excellent service. Get the lagman and order baby chicken. Ask to be serviced by Julia for the best service
Amazing food! Amazing owners! Was gladly surprised to enjoy a live music during family's dinner. Parking lot in the back is a huge plus (especially in that area)! Must try!!! P.S. Must order "lagman" soup!!!
Delicious food, amazing service, would definitely recommend. Phenomenal restaurant
The three of us loved this place. The owner explained some of the choices, the food was good and tasty, I would really recommend the skirt steak kabobs. Jamilya gave us the best service ever.
Best Shish Kebab and "Lagman" spot in Queens. I always recommend this restaurant to my international friends because the food here is so tasty. Nowadays, you go to a restaurant and food tastes always different, but at Nadezhda (I don't know how they do it) the food is always on point. Sea bass and lamb kebab is my favorite!
Fodd and services are extensively amazing. My new spot to visit often. You don't believe me? Try it for yourself. Ask for Lagman or pel'meni soup with lagman sauce. Shashlik: liver, horovak, short ribs, vyrizka, chicken without bones, are all taste fresh and amazing
Great gem of 108th. The owner of this place really takes quality to a higher level and runs a tight ship. Buys quality meats and uses ingredient of the highest caliber. Shopping is done daily, fries are cut fresh and all is cooked to order. The waiters and staff are also really friendly. My favorite are the lamb on the bone (baby back ribs) Lamb chalachach and the Lagman without the noodles. Just try it and see.
Nadezhda is the best restaurant in forest hills Queens. The food is simply delicious and incomparable to any restaurant in queens that serves same dishes. Must try for yourself. Best dish is MANTI with pumpkin (it’s a 40 min wait to prepare) but so worth it. The staff are always welcoming, but the place gets busy in the evenings most times is a wait time to get a table. But overall is 10/10.
This Uzbek restaurant was phenomenal! The food was absolutely delicious and arrived quickly, packed with rich, bold flavors. The mantiy were tender and juicy, the samsas crispy with thin breading and filled to perfection, and the steaks were cooked just right. Fries with mushrooms were amazing. The salads and soups were fresh and full of flavor, rounding out an impressive meal. The chefs knows what they're doing here. What stood out was the service. Salim, our server, was warm, cheerful, and incredibly attentive, and had good recommendations. He made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we walked in, adding a personal touch that made the experience even better. If you’re looking for amazing Uzbek cuisine with friendly service, this spot should definitely be on your list.
Amazing experience as first time guest with a group of 20 people. Authentic food as it can get ,Best French fries, meat, chicken and salads, everything was fresh and came in big portions. Place is not big and very crowded and noise but it is definitely part of the experience.
Great service! Quality of food is top of the line! Been coming here for years and it never disappoints!
This our favorite restaurant in our neighborhood The food was amazing ,so fresh and delicious and like home made, service was great and quick, atmosphere always so cozy and friendly, the best manty in my neighborhood.Nadezhda -the owner is always there and managing service which was provided, all customers were very satisfied with the service and food
Excellent food and always consistent with their quality. Service can sometimes be frustrating when it's too busy, but it comes with the territory. Definitely my go-to spot
Overall five stars. This is a kosher restaurant local here in Forest Hills. Prices are very reasonable. I was with friends who spoke Russian so that made it easy to order. We had tomato salad which was delicious spicy and low salty. We had Borscht which was delicious. We then had assorted meats on the skewer very tender skirt steak lamb chicken all very tender and very good. They allow you to bring your own wine and they do not charge you for it which is a big plus. Overall I recommend the restaurant try it out.
Everyone was so nice. That is one of the most important things when I go to a restaurant. The experience of being with people that I've never met, because this is my first time going, and everyone just being nice. I went to Uzbekistan in 2021 and this restaurant reminded me of the wonderful food, the experienced staff and all of the people that surrounded me, who were all wonderful men and women. I can't wait to visit again and you should visit if you're reading this!
Food is always great. The place is very clean and welcoming and the service is always good. My goto with the family
Great spot to go with the boys or family! Amazing food with decent pricing. They have great kebabs and salads. They even let you bring your own booz. Just for that this place is legendary. Will definitely return here soon. Definitely recommend to all my friends.
Amazing service! really good food. great place to have a birthday and just have a good time with the fam.
Food was great. Enjoyed everything except French salad The following dishes were very good: Lagman was delicious Fried potatoes with mushrooms Kompot homemade very good Lyulya kebab, beef kebab Wrapped it up with freshly brewed black tea and medovik Service was great - very attentative, plesant
I am highly recommending this place for you, very clean, Food is delicious, my kids comes here every day basically because it feels like a home food, I’m definitely Will recommend this place👍
Love this restaurant Such a nice place Waiters are friendly and food is delicious I recommend this place My whole family comes here and we are not switching to another place
Had a birthday party here for 20 people—everything went smoothly! The food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was warm with soft lighting and quiet background music, making it easy to talk and enjoy. It was a bit crowded, but that’s just a sign of how popular this place has become. Definitely a great experience overall!
Absolutely loved this place! The food was incredibly tasty – every dish was fresh.
Great food at a reasonable price family restaurant. Was my first time there last night. Since Nadezhda was one of the few kosher restaurants still open, and i was running late, i took a cab. When i arrived, the kitchen was already closed. Thankfully, I managed to speak with the owner who heard my story and spoke with the kitchen staff on my behalf. I ordered Uzbek bread with a side of hummus and the lamb soup, which was excellent. The food came quickly; was fresh, hot and very tasty and I left feeling very happy and satisfied before my 1-hour and 36-minute subway ride back to Boro Park. Very happy to have chosen to dine at Nadezhda and am looking forward to seeing my new friends there on my next visit to Forest Hills.
not bad, not crazy about the setup. The owner is always loud, i can hear her a mile away. food not bad loved going to their Kew Gardens Hills spot before the whole block burned down.
Lovely neighborhood Eastern European kosher restaurant. Fresh salads, delicious kabobs, interesting (and tasty!) baked goods. Helpful staff. Recommended.
First time coming here since they moved from flushing. Always great but definitely understaffed in the kitchen. Still my favorite place to eat.
First time I went there everything was excellent from food, service, to clean bathroom but it's not consistent.
Nice place. Food is tasty and everything is fresh. Good service. I enjoyed
Overall the place is good and very lively. The manti are a must have. 4 star only because sometimes the food would be over salted.
Pretty good. Kosher. Very small parking on the front. But , look like bigger on the back (?) Large selection of disposable tableware. Sushi, bread, snacks, other food... It was very quick visit. Cant give more info .
Food was very good, but it took about 45-60 minutes (no exaggeration) for any of the main course to hit the table. We sat in a large group so we gave them some grace but we were all tired and full by the time everything arrived. Besides that the owner is a sweet lady and the staff were accommodating.
BAD SERVICE NO ATTENTION TO GUEST WHO ENTERS HAVE TO WAVE SOME TO GET SEATED ...15MINS NO ATTENDANCE NO MENU NO WATER NO ONE TO TAKE ORDERS EVEN IT WAS NOT BUSY AT AT ALL AROUND 15 TO 20 TABLES BUT ONLY 2 SERVERS
The food itself was good, however in terms of service there was much to be desired in terms of reception, waiter was nice, and the kebabs are pricey.
I love the food it just makes me get real nasty in the bathroom. I don't know what they do with that meat but If you could smell my woo woo you would faint. And its just from his place so weird
We booked a 26 person party but the owner kept asking us to quiet down that we were too loud.
I’ve been coming this place for a long time their prices dramatically increased.Food also doesn’t taste that good anymore
Russian restaurant in Forest Hills. They said it’s Russian but I think it’s more like Eastern European. It’s nice restaurant with plenty of space inside for just to hang out with friends and family or make any big pastries for any occasions. A lot of seating outside as well. Food and n general was good. Salad Nadegda was not to satisfying $11 for small plate of spinach some avocado cherry tomatoes that was not even cut and carrots just not what I expected I think just fresh salad would be better and cheaper. Lamb kebab I ordered with no bone but for some reason some of them still have some. Pelmeny meat didn’t taste fresh. And I don’t know why they charge me 15% service charge just for two people if that’s a tip per would tip much more but other wise what that charge for?
This place is not kosher, it is “kosher style.” Anywhere else, “kosher” implies rabbinical supervision and a kosher certification, but here they do not have it. While the owner assured us this all made with kosher ingredients, without kosher supervision non-Jews may make many halakhic errors that make the kitchen and the food treif. The food looked delicious, but they should call this “kosher style” not kosher. I had confirmed this beforehand, I gave this 2 stars because the staff was extremely kind throughout. Even though I ordered almost $100 worth of food I now have to toss it.
This place violates law of a Kosher Law . Certificate of Rabbinical review and approval is missing. Their Kosher Restuarant status must be reported to Rabbinical Court.
Waited 40 min for a soup 😂 and the rest never came out I had to head out
Short waiters need more hiring
this restaurant is so bad one worker steals my debit card thinks she can hide it and the worst service i ever had the waitresses have dirt under their nails and made me feel very uncomfortable. i do not recommend to anyone
Very overpriced for the little food you will get from it. I spent $30 for skirt steak and in the food tray was less than 7 pieces of meat.
No kosher certification! No mashgiach in the kitchen! I asked at the entrance if the place is kosher and was told 'Of Course!' They misleadingly posted portraits of the Rebbe in multiple places. When I asked to see a certification, one of the waitresses invited me inside and said that it is on the wall of the manager's office. Then she said that the door was locked. She left me waiting and pretended she forgot about me. Later she said that the manager is coming in 2-3 hours.
The staff here were very unprofessional and dismissive, especially toward the food delivery worker. Even though the order was ready, they didn’t seem to care or want to help. It’s frustrating to deal with such poor service, and I won’t be returning.
Update: A previous review was based on seeing the owner reply to another reviewer that they do not have a mashgiach on site full time. That remains true, but the owner claims that the Mashgiach comes on and off to check on the kashrut (see below reply). The certification is under an unknown kosher certificate, "Tiferes Yisrael” by Rabbi Amnon Khaimov. My updated reply to the owner: You seem to misunderstand Kashrut laws. For dairy restaurants, it is generally okay for mashgiach to stop by here and there. But for orthodox Jews to eat at a meat restaurant, a Jewish mashgiach must be present at all times food is being prepared. I highly encourage you to pursue the more accepted kosher certification, under Vaad Harabanim of Queens. To others, the food is delicious and a good price. But if you are orthodox, please be aware that: 1. There are non-Jews cooking the food in the kitchen without supervision by a mashgiach. He only comes temporarily. 2. It is certified kosher, but I have personally never heard of this Kosher certification. 3. It is not glatt kosher. This may be okay for conservative Jews, but as an orthodox Jew I unfortunately cannot eat here anymore.
The behavior of the restaurant staff was disappointing, and the food quality was extremely poor. The dishes seemed old and lacked freshness, making for an overall unpleasant dining experience.
I’ve been driving past this restaurant forever, wondering if it was worth stopping. Today I finally decided to try it—bold of me, I know. Unfortunately, the chaos began at the door. When I walked in, a few employees approached me… and by “approached,” I mean drifted over like NPCs with low battery. And guess what? One of them was so rude it was almost impressive. I couldn’t hear him because the music was blasting like they were hosting a rave in the kitchen, and instead of, you know, speaking like a normal human, he hit me with a full “I DON’T HEAR YOU” attitude—like my mere existence offended him. The negative energy was strong. Honestly felt like the guy didn’t like my face, which is wild because I personally think your face is doing the best it can. Anyway, onto the food. I ordered two samsas. They looked promising, but apparently the oven took the day off. Cold. Disappointing. Betrayal in pastry form. Then came the Shashlik Saga. The lulya shashlik was surprisingly good—rare moment of hope. The beef shashlik, though, arrived still auditioning for the role of “Living Cow.” I asked for well-done, but I guess the cook misheard it as “serve me a biology lesson.” I sent it back, and they responded by torching it like it was evidence they needed to destroy. Third act: edible, but nothing exciting. The honum and manti were actually good—proof the kitchen can cook when the planets align. My server? Absolutely fantastic. The only person in the building who understood the assignment. Super friendly, super attentive, the kind of guy who deserves better than the chaos swirling around him. Some of the other staff, though? Acting like being polite to new customers might shorten their lifespan. Regulars got smiles; I got “Why are you here?” energy. And then we arrive at the grand finale: the bill. A beautiful, majestic $211. For that money, I could’ve been at Fogo de Chão having endless meat carved at my table by guys who actually smile at you. Instead, I paid premium prices for a shashlik mood swing. They also include the tip automatically—but of course, no one bothered to mention it. So I tipped again. I don’t mind, because my server earned every cent, but a simple “Hey, tip’s already included” would save newcomers from financially sponsoring the restaurant’s emotional support fund. Food: 2 stars Server: 5 stars (give him a raise) Experience: Priced like fine dining, executed like a sitcom Will I come back? Absolutely not. Will I order again? Will I order again? No, my friend, that chapter of my life is closed. I ate the burned meat purely out of self-preservation, because the energy coming from the kitchen had strong “I will beat the living daylight out of you if you send this back again” vibes. I wasn’t dining—I was surviving. Every bite felt like a scene from an action movie where the hero eats charcoal to avoid angering the villain. By the time I finished, I wasn’t thinking about dessert—I was thinking about escape routes. I left that place like I was fleeing the country, not a restaurant.
terrible service! I saw for myself that you have to wait for your order for 1 hour, the waiters can't give you a clear answer when your order will be ready, in the end our order was given to other customers, and you have to wait again. I was there for the first and last time!
JUST TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! 1. We waited 40 minutes for soup 2. Mexican waiters bring you dishes without gloves and touch all the cutlery with dirty hands 3. There is no order in customer service, the last ones to arrive get their order first. 4. The guys themselves set a 15% and it is not the customer who decides
Ordered Lyulya Kebab via UberEats. Lyulya is red. It’s totally raw inside. It’s not safe to consume like this food. Called to explain the girl on the phone started arguing with me that it can’t be raw. Told her I can send a picture she said no it’s ok just go ahead and order something else and we will give lyulya for credit. Speechless…
Service is the worst I have ever experienced. Waiter was rude and yelled at my wife that outside is the only table available and then snapping in her face. Who cares how good the food is if you are going to be treated like a dog.
Came to have lunch, forgot to look Jewish or Uzbek, sat for 5 min wasn’t even busy no one took the order they just looked like I’m Spanish very racist place. Happened on 6/26/25 at 3:50 Came back again on July 1st after reading your response to give you guys another chance and once again you guys failed terribly, the only person that came by is a Hispanic waiter to move the plates and try’s multiple times to get me the waiter and again nothing happened for 5 minutes so once again I just left. You might have good food but you need better management
No kosher certification! The owner did show me her order receipt from the kosher supplier (Glat Boys). However no mashgiach at the spot. %15 was added to the final Bill for service and then we were still asked to leave a tip on top of that. The food was ok. Nothing special but not bad. Most of the servers and employees don't speak English.
This is the worst Central Asian restaurant ever I have experienced. We ordered Ukrainian Borsh, they brought something looks like only Ingredients were cut and put boiled water on top. I doesn’t taste like a Borsh or soup at all. Also, I ordered Shish kebab and lamb kebab which made me wait for exact 1 hour. Both of those kebabs were not cooked well at all, blood kept coming while I was eating. Even, so hard to chew. Shish kebab was so bad, tasted like old and spoiled meat. Just a waste of money and time. Work on how to earn money fairly! I don’t recommend
