Shake Shack Forest Hills Reviews
I love the food especially the eel avocado. The service was excellent and I think everyone should eat here
Just when I thought there weren’t any really good authentic Japanese restaurants in Queens New York, I find this little gem. Let me just start by saying how much I hate avocado on sushi and prefer fresh ice cold hamachi. Fuji didn’t disappoint! We dined inside and enjoyed the ambiance of tatami booth seating and exceptional customer service. Make sure Tiffany is working if you make a reservation. Top notch and 絶対的な完璧さ!
This is a gem! I wanted takeout from a sushi place in Kew gardens and I’ve never tried this place before. I placed my order through Google picking up at a specific time and it was ready on time. This really surprised me how great the sushi was. Each sushi was wrapped nicely, freshly made, fair amount of protein in each one and came with real wasabi, not horseradish. The place looked like a nice date spot so definitely coming here again soon!
My friend and I got the all you can eat Groupon for 2 hrs with 3 drinks for $30 and everything was delicious. I've been to all you can eat places where they put way too much rice on their sushi but this wasn't like that at all. The sushi was great quality and they had great options for the special rolls. This place is close to my apartment which is also a win for me. Definitely a good place to check out for sushi!
I’ve been here twice with my girlfriend and both times was a great experience. The appetizer, sushi, bento box, and desserts were all delicious. For the amount of food you get, the price is reasonable. The staff were also very attentive. We’ll definitely be going back.

One of the best sushi restaurants I’ve had. Sushi is delicious. Service is amazing. Ordered from DoorDash always on time and freshly delivered. I highly recommended.
Happy that they reopen again, now under new management. Food was great and we enjoyed the all you can eat menu.
What a positive change in the customer service under this new Fuji management. The staff is friendly and helpful. Big kudos! 😊 The dining area is now much brighter and inviting after their refurbishment. Ordered their Lunch Special Salmon Teriyaki bento box. Portion is generous and price is reasonable. Will definitely be coming back to try other items. They are currently offering Grand Opening Dine-in Dinner only at 20% discount. Shall hope to take advantage of it.
Decided to try this sushi spot as I was nearby and it did not disappoint! My only complaint was that the lady who works at the front was very dismissive and came off rude. They also charge you $1 or 1.50 for spicy mayo which I think is ridiculous if I’m asking for just a small side of it w my lunch combo. But besides that the food was great but idk if I would be back again due to the women’s behavior that wasn’t so welcoming.
The all you can eat was pretty good, the sushi was the best part of the menu. We also ordered fried rice and some appetizers that came out pretty good. Recommend the pork katsu. Came with drinks. Only downside was that the waiters were not very good at explaing how the living social voucher worked.
Lately I observed there is an update on the interior of the restaurant as well as new management. We decided to check it out given the restaurant is at close distance. Upon entering, some slight modification changes but not that much. Booths on both sides of the wall and long tables in the middle for large parties. Interior of the dining area has been brightened since they installed more ceiling lights. They don't have a proper manual yet, just the take out menu for ordering. Food wise is good like any other Japanese restaurant you would expect. Typical soup and salad served with bento boxes. Bento boxes for lunch special are good and affordable. This is a great place for friends and family especially in walking distance.
Cozy yet large dining room, great attentive service, good and plenty amount of food
Waitress tells me no rush, but then rushed the entire meal. Gave me bill before I finished eating .
We wanted to try the "new" Fuji and it was pretty good. I used to love their All-you-can-eat deal pre-COVID but the deal is no longer there. Ramen was not truly Japanese style, but it was still good. Sushi and rolls were better than I expected! Will visit again.

I visited this place a few times, a few years ago with my girl. The sushi wasn’t bad but we did pay a premium for “all you can eat” and every time i would order more, the chefs and the waitress seemed so stressed out. I guess they couldnt keep up with my appetite. We both laughed about it but hey, we paid for it.
I often order takeout or have food delivered from this place, as it's been a staple in the area for quite some time. I usually go for the lunch special, which is reasonably priced. The fish is decent, though occasionally the quality falls short. That said, it's still a reliable option overall.
We've been dining here for a while, food seemed to be better before. Service is good, food is served fast.

I got food poisoning from the sushi on the weekend of Valentine’s Day. I’m never eating from there again! I’m not sure if there were worms in the sushi or if staff did not wash their hands, but regardless, do not eat from here!
I ordered the chicken fried rice for takeout. I asked the woman server a simple question about what I want and she didn’t listen. The wait time was brief. I thanked her and she didn’t say “you’re welcome” or thank me. The food was OK. They’re cheap with the chicken and had poor customer service. I won’t be returning.

We ordered the love boat for our family of four, along with one order of seafood yaki soba, and a few pieces of salmon sashimi. The menu said that the love boat came with soup and salad, but we did not get any with our order. Our children expect some miso soup with their sushi, so my wife called to ask what they could do. The lady said it was free to justify saying that the order was fully delivered and that she would not give us anything. Then they said they would credit us with free soup and salad on our next order, but that wasn't going to placate our children. Then they said we could come by to pick it up, but we had ordered delivery for a reason. Then they finally agreed to have a delivery person bring it by, but insisted that it only includes one soup and salad. This is the love boat, the largest and most expensive of their sushi entrees ($59 and more than the sushi for 3). I can only imagine a small group of people ordering this at the restaurant and then having soup and salad only placed in front of one person. Finally a delivery person brought us a single soup in a cup, which was significantly smaller than the one that came with our soba earlier. The salad was pure lettuce, not even a token cucumber, tomato, or piece of shredded carrot. When I called back to complain, they hung up on me. I was very careful not to yell or swear, so this was incredibly rude. We had a good laugh about it later, because this was just ridiculously bad customer service. Even if the love boat really was supposed to come with only one soup and salad, they forgot that, and could have just made it up to us by giving us more. Instead they spitefully gave us less. To be fair, we had a positive experience when we went there for 'all you can eat' sushi on their opening weekend. We accidentally over ordered (kids were being fussy and did not eat their usual) and they let us take home the extra food that we could not finish. That was much appreciated, but this was stupid. We're not going to bother ordering from here again.
This used to be my favorite sushi spot. And took all of my friends there. For some time now my friends have been complaining about the rude waitress and how pushy she was with the tip embarrassing them with her really bad service. I never had a problem until yesterday. The sushi was good but the service was not! She took forever to take our order and left us half way and another waitress continued to help us. All she did was flirt with an older white man seating behind us and sat on his table so close to him that almost looked like she was seating on his lap. After the not attentive service we tip her still and she started to talk in a bad way and waving the cash. Then she came to the table gave us the money back and demanded more tip. Me to avoid causing a scene added more money but she never gave me the change, she kept my change she took my money and went and sat on this.old man table again. I'm really disappointed with the service. If shes looking for a sugar daddy she should do that outside her work hours. Dont think I'll be returning.
I usually don’t leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to warn others. My experience at Fuji was extremely disappointing and upsetting. Despite being respectful and excited to try the food, I was treated very differently from other customers. From the moment I walked in, the staff was cold and dismissive, while treating others around me warmly. I was seated in a bad spot, ignored for long periods, and spoken to rudely. Meanwhile, other guests received excellent service and attention. It quickly became clear that this was not just bad service — it felt personal and racially motivated. No one should have to pay to be disrespected or made to feel unwelcome. I will not be returning, and I encourage others to be aware of how this establishment treats people before choosing to spend your money here.
