The Mallard Drake Franklin St Reviews
Super cool dive bar . Cheap drinks , free pool , cool atmosphere, chill bartenders and great food . Ramirez burgers are no longer here but great korean food (GIMMEBOP) in the basement . Must try !
Great back patio! Good vibe and drink specials. They have an arcade as well! Worth swinging by during bar hopping.
The Ramirez team put together one tasty burger. The estrella was the perfect beer to wash it down.

This is a great new bar. The decor is on point. It's got plenty of seating. It has a yard and a free pool table downstairs. Also downstairs is the window to get food. Taqueria Ramirez serves hamburgers and fries from here. The staff is awesome. They always notice when my glass is empty. I highly recommend you check this place out.
Great laid back spot, love the decor. Reminds me of a friends house growing up. Alex is a great bartender, friendly and chill . They have a great pool table in the basement
The bartenders are always great but the real draw for me is the burgers in the basement. Taco Ramirez al pastor burger is one of the top burgers in the city. Definitely go try it.
If you love Taco Ramirez, you should go here to get their burger. So good. You have to go down the stairs of the bar to get there.
Stumbled across cheap burgers and fries here on the walk home and so glad we stopped by! Cozy basement area by a pool table where we ate really excellent, tasty food clearly prepared with pride. Surprisingly great eats - we loved the classic and Jamaican jerk burger.
Awesome deal on burgers for $5.99! Can't beat that. Dinner for two was $19 on a Saturday night. Two burgers and fries to share. Unheard of! Vibe of the bar is chill! Cool place!!!
This bar is real chill and laid back. Cheap food downstairs (basically anything you can think of) and free pool downstairs too. Nice yard out back and they have cheap drinks and dive bar stuff but the bartender Rachel said she didn't mind making me a drink that was off menu. I've been here once before and the bartender was not nearly as welcoming or accommodating, we almost didn't come back but I was relieved to see she wasn't working this time. The bar is weird but in a good way. Got to meet some cool local regulars who were very inclusive and funny. Definitely going back.

Really chill, no frills bar with free pool. Go downstairs for the magical basement that hosts a window for a tasty burger from Taqueria Ramírez (single with fries for $15).
Came here for the Taqueria Ramirez burger and was worth the trip. $15 deal for a single patty al pastor burger and cerveza. Order at the window downstairs. The fries were amazing too. The bar is a bit of a dive though with local regulars - didn’t really love the vibe personally, but I can see why people would like it. We came just to eat and left right after we were finished. Note: oddly, the deal doesn’t apply to get a beer included if you get a double patty burger, so keep that in mind when ordering. They should change that.
Great bar, decent prices, free pool. And now have opened a kitchen from Taquirea Ramirez where they do great burgers (only burgers no tacos)
It’s a dive bar. With a 🔥burger. Grab a beer, grab a burg enjoy your night.

Bartender girl was not really nice. She was abo it 5’6 and change with a blonde curly bob, very rude. Would scoff at all the customers

Ramirez burger located downstairs of this bar. Go straight to burger neon sign which is on your left when you go inside and go downstairs. Bartender was not nice and the vibe of this bar is bad. Ramirez burger is just above the average.

Wow. Walked in at around midnight. Waited around and the bar was empty with No bartender at the bar. Finally a female bartender reluctantly comes from who knows where and gives me a blank stare. I am as you still serving? She hesitates and in a dreadful way as if she was ready to leave hours ago says in an unfriendly way: “umm, yea…”. If I was the owner I’d like to know that’s what’s going on at my bar: miserable, hungover and depressed bartender that isn’t welcome
Oddest bartender we've interacted with. Didn't really know what the bar offered drink-wise and shrugged his shoulders when we told him the photo booth didn't work/took our money. Bit of an awkward layout overall as well.
Bad juju. Not friendly bartender. She was playing good music at least. Lots of sad dudes on their phones. Last stop before AA. Will probably never go back. Tuesday 6pm. Irish Mob running things into the ground, but that is a tactic with some owners to buy out their other partners on the cheap after they destroy a place. Will probably be a dog wash soon.
Bartenders were blackout drunk and tried to fight multiple people. They were racist and homophobic. I came here many times when it was a different bar. Terrible experience. Avoid at all costs. The folks who ran the kimbap spot downstairs were super nice and amazing. I hope they get a spot of their own. This bar would get a zero across the board if it wasn’t for them. But the bar…terrible. Everyone running it should be ashamed.
