Excellent ravioli lighter cream sauce and Rigatoni. Garlic bread is as fresh and garlic bomb. Server was excellent. Definitely go back after some Golf

We had our daughter’s baptism luncheon today and could not have had a better experience! They were so accommodating and ensured that everything was nicely put together. We brought in floral arrangements for the tables and they went above and beyond in making everything perfect! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! Would highly recommend this place!

Awesome Italian food! I have been here around 6 times and all the food has been great. Typically we get bread basket and numerous pasta dishes and everyone seems to love it. I typically eat at numerous high end Italian restaurants in the past and this place is certainly worth the money. I see a lot of odd posts from others claiming the food is bland or bad quality…. I suspect those reviews come from people that thing spaghetti o’s and Pizza Hut are great.

This is a gem in Urbana. The service is always amazing. The food is top notch. They have a great wine, cocktail, and food selection. The outdoor seating is beautiful and the outdoor music played isn't too loud. There is ample parking. It's overall a great experience.

We’ve have been to this restaurant in different occasions and the food has always been amazing. There is usually not a wait and our servers have been friendly and nice. We love their bread, their pastas of course. The portions are generous and the selection of wine is great. Can’t wait to return.

Fantastic dinner and service. Fresh and delicious. Best we’ve had in the Frederick area. Pictured are the Veal Marsala and Shrimp Parmigiana with vodka sauce instead of marinara.

A favorite restaurant. Food never disappoints. Service is excellent. I especially enjoy any of the chicken dishes and the Shrimp Scampi Pizza.

Two adults had a great lunch meal here on a Wednesday in early June. We hadn't been here lately but the food was as good as we remembered. The service was excellent from Nora. We had the Tortellini Pasticcia and the Chicken al Limone with ice teas. Enough food to take home for dinner. The cost with tax was about $57 less tip. We'll definitely be back.

Mangia e Bevi has delicious food and great service. We have been going to Mangia e Bevi since it opened in 2007, however I especially want to praise them for the great job they did providing us with party trays recently for an engagement party we were hosting. We ordered 5 entrees and several side dishes- everything was top quality and delicious. Everyone especially liked the Pollo al Limone and the Fettuccine Alfredo. If you are having a party, order your food from Mangia e Bevi!

We had the best Fettuccine Alfredo we've had in years. The lemon chicken with artichokes and capers was fantastic as we're the lamp chops and spaghetti with meatballs. Our favorite restaurant.

Visited for a work lunch and they were extremely accommodating, quick, but I also did not feel rushed at all, so could have stayed longer if I was not pressed for time. Also, the food was great and I had plenty of leftovers. A hidden gem!

Mangia e Bevi is out family’s go-to for yummy Italian, our friends’ go-to for girls night for patio dining, and my company’s go-to for catering lunches for staff at local schools. The food is delicious, and Roz makes special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries special by bringing treats at the end of the meal. A wonderful staple here in the heart of Urbana!!

Let me start by saying that the pasta here is great, made fresh and tasty! Service Is not that great though, mostly very slow and unattentive almost every time we have been there. Sitting at the table for about 10 mim before anyone cames to ask you for drinks is a pretty regular occurance. Once again, the food is really good and the place has a nice atmosphere, but the service is the main reason for my score. Highly recommend the Rigatoni with Salccicia.

Wonderful terrace to enjoy lunch or brunch outdoors. Chicken artichoke, a bit salty. Service wasn’t the friendliest, yet the menu seemed pretty authentic .

Review: Mangia e Bevi, Ristorante Italiano (Frederick, MD) Reservations Mangia e Bevi does not take reservations unless the party is large. While I would personally prefer the option to reserve a table regardless of party size, this is a minor inconvenience that does not significantly affect the overall dining experience. Stars: N/A Exterior & Interior Appearance From the street, the restaurant presents an inviting look that encourages consideration. However, once inside, the main dining room feels dated and lacks warmth, which detracts from the initial impression. In contrast, the outdoor patio is a delight: warm, charming, and a unique blend of countryside and city atmosphere that feels welcoming and comfortable. Still, the patio is season-dependent, and I would not consider it an option in winter. Stars: 3 Reception The host who greeted us set the tone with charisma and a warm smile, making us feel genuinely welcomed. This small but important detail elevated the first moments of the visit. Stars: 3.5 Service – Order Taking Our server was kind, patient, and highly skilled in communication. Their recommendations were spot-on, and their professional demeanor enhanced the experience. Stars: 3.5 Table Comfort Despite the large patio with only a few tables occupied, the table we were given felt uncomfortably small. Dining space is an essential factor for comfort, and we felt crowded when we should not have. Stars: 1.5 Main Courses Among four guests, each chose a different entrée, and each plate impressed. Execution, flavor, and presentation reflected a high level of culinary skill. Judged by the food alone, Mangia e Bevi stands out. Stars: 4 Bread & Oil Commentary The restaurant offers bread with spiced oil, but it must be ordered from the menu rather than provided as a standard courtesy. While nothing in hospitality is truly “free,” many establishments present this gesture without prompting. In my opinion, it would feel more natural and hospitable to offer it upfront. Stars: N/A Cocktails My wife ordered a margarita, which she found to be quite acceptable. While not a standout drink, it was well-balanced and enjoyable, complementing the evening without overshadowing the meal. Stars: 2.5 Desserts The tiramisù was attractively presented but ultimately underwhelming in flavor. Given the Italian identity of the restaurant, this was somewhat disappointing. Stars: 2.5 Espresso I ordered an espresso not out of habit at 9 p.m. but as a test. In my view, an Italian restaurant should always offer a respectable espresso—it is part of its cultural identity. This one was solid, though not exceptional. Stars: 2.5 Final Assessment Mangia e Bevi excels in its main courses, offers warm hospitality, and shines with its outdoor patio. Yet, shortcomings in table comfort, dessert quality, and interior design prevent it from reaching its full potential. Overall Stars: 3.1 / 5

The food was really disappointing. We were visiting from out of town and should have made reservations somewhere but the fact that they had immediate openings on a saturday at 6:30 should have told us something. Our service was great, the lady was on point but the food was sub par. It was lacking in flavor.

I hate to say it because there are not that many other places in Urbana in terms of sitdown restaurants. I remember when this place was pretty good, but honestly our last meal there was not that great. The prices are generally high and the food really doesn’t stand out at all. Not sure whether their ownership has changed or what has happened, but sadly we would not return.

This place is horrible. They messed up my order twice. The ambience is horrible. They hang up bags on the ceiling. The service is subpar. Overall, Just not a good vibe. The food is terrible. My girlfriend has a stomach ache, And my brother, who also got the chicken Parm also is not feeling well. We will never be coming back to this establishment again even if they were giving away $1 million I would never step foot in here ever again. Very oily.

Ordered a couple of pasta dishes which cost over $50 without salad, soup or even bread. Food was just average, no flavor. Won't be coming back, rather go to Mama Lena, Oliver Garden or Carrabas.

A mid tier family restaurant whose food reminds one of a student in grade school who so poorly copies off their friend with so little understanding of basic concepts like "reducing" or "plating" or "seasoning" as to still fail their exam. From the flavorless, wet, yellow-dyed rice called "saffron risotto" to the watery ketchup called "tomato cream sauce," restaurants like this make one wonder why anyone would open a restaurant when they so obviously hate both cooking and food. Most significantly, the poor young hostess was clearly freezing by the front door, apparently disallowed from covering up. Even if you can manage to spice up the mediocre food with delightful company, as I did, poor treatment of staff I cannot abide.
