Very busy and well liked coffee spot! Went on a Sunday morning, pretty decent sized line, but moved quickly. Service was excellent and thorough. Hand held breakfast foods available, as well as baked goods. Nice quaint atmosphere to hang for a bit!

Aubreigh has made all my experiences at Java Ranch the absolute best! Very personable, sweet, and makes you feel at home. It’s more than just a coffeehouse when Aubreigh is working :)

Best local coffee in town. I come here after work all the time (I work overnights), and I'll get some delicious coffee, a warm muffin, and read my book. Service is excellent and everyone there is super nice. If you're local you get a discount.

Java Ranch is my go-to spot whenever we visit Fredericksburg, Texas. My favorite thing on the menu is their hot Chai Tea—it’s the perfect cozy treat. I definitely recommend stopping by and checking it out! (The image is an AI-generated artwork inspired by a sign in the store.)

Now THHIISS is the appropriate amount of cheese to put in a ham and cheese croissant!! 😂🤩🤩 and they they use actual thick cut ham not some thin lunch meat💪 great job!

Friendly smiling staff. The food is delicious 😋 I usually get an iced Irish cream latte, but today I got a small cold brew: brown sugar cinnamon with sweet cream and a strawberry cream danish.

Love this little coffee shop. I ordered the Gold Rush (specialty menu) per recommendation of their staff member, Aubreigh. The Gold Rush drink is delicious! Will definitely come back!

Very smooth cortado and the cheddar sausage pretzel wrap was excellent as well. Great service and atmosphere. Can't wait to get back and try a bag of their roasted beans as well!!

Beautiful country coffee and pastry place. It is country without being pretentious or trying too hard. 19/10 would recommend.

Great little place right on Main Street for a quick breakfast bite. Fast, friendly service. There are a couple outdoor tables available or enjoy your breakfast in the cozy cafe. Highly recommend the French toast muffin!

Very delicious coffee, many options and great customer service. Ordered a lavender latte and a Nutella pastry both extremely delicious. Prices are reasonable and store is pretty clean including their restroom.

Love this little stop in ! Staff is great and friendly. Comfy setting to sit and chat. The coffee was amazing! Wish there were more shops like this in San Antonio! Def got a bigger coffee to take back to the hotel. Has a restroom as well.

Airbnb kicked us out at 11am and we needed a place to connect to WiFi and work! We found Java Ranch and it suited our needs. Coffee was good. Pretzel, sausage and cheddar kolache was delish! And they have beer!? Staff was great incredibly friendly and helpful! Especially Aubreigh!

The coffee was very good-the barista did have a hard time making suggestions but he suggested a coffee that his manager likes and it was very good. He also forgot my kolache that I had ordered and had to come back up to remind him which he did get after he looked up my receipt and saw that I had paid for it. The decor is really cute with an incredible mural that is very realistic. It's very dimly lit inside. The cheddar pretzel kolache was really very good! I do recommend it!

Great atmosphere and layout. Easy to find. One person taking orders and one person making the drinks. Very fast and the medium hot sugar free vanilla latte (they were out of almond milk) was excellent.

Stopped by Java Ranch for a grab and go coffee and snack over the weekend. Coffee was good, could have been hotter. Sausage cheese biscuit was great, highlight the flaky biscuit. Very comfortable space, maintains the original architecture of the building on Main Street. Plenty of merch for those inclined. Nice place to visit for coffee and breakfast treat.

If you are looking for a good spot to get breakfast, then this is not it. However, if you are looking for a good cup of coffee, then this is the right spot. On our trip to fredericksburg, we came here twice. The first time was in the late afternoon, and I just needed a quick pick me up. The establishment was very crowded, but the line moved quickly, and the staff was kind. I ordered an iced latte, and my mother in law ordered a chai latte. I thought my latte was absolutely delicious. The espresso was smooth, and the drink was not overly sweet. My mother in law did not really like her chai latte, but she likes her drinks extra sweet and prefers chai syrup. The second time we came was to order breakfast and drinks for our entire group. I made the mistake of only looking at the pictures and was under the impression that they served food such as breakfast burritos. We ordered an assortment of pastries and other breakfast items. They were okay. Nothing special. But I feel like the pricing was more reasonable than other coffee shops on the street. The food is just something you would get quick on the go. I did really like my chocolate croissant, but it looked and tasted exactly like the chocolate croissants at two of the other coffee shops. They managed our order of five drinks without any error. Despite there being a lot of people, all 5 of our drinks and food were given to us in a very quick amount of time after ordering.

Wanted to love it, but it keeps missing the mark. I’ve tried Java Ranch a few times now while visiting Fredericksburg hoping it would grow on me, but the coffee just never quite hits. I was really excited to try their seasonal banana bread latte, and it unfortunately tasted pretty artificial and didn’t have any foam or froth at all. Parking is also tough, which makes it a bit of a hassle to visit. That said, the service has always been good and the inside is super cozy. I wish the drinks matched the vibe. Still hoping they make some improvements because the space itself has a lot of potential.

A bit disappointed with this establishment. The photos are out of date and mislead the public into thinking they offer a breakfast menu. They only offer a minimal selection of pastries, one type of kolache, and some muffins. A bagel is also an option. We waited and watched several customers who came in after us get their coffee before us. 2 small cappuccinos to be exact. They were out of knives so we had to use forks to spread the cream cheese on our bagels. Would we come again? No, there are plenty of other coffee shops on the strip that offer a much better selection and service that doesn’t fall short. There is a decent amount of tables to choose from but seating is a bit tight. The decor and Mural on the wall adds an interesting touch.

Disappointed with our hot chocolate experience probably a place for coffee which we couldn’t try during our visit. A very pretty interiors of the store.

This seems like maybe it's a good place to go if you like flavored lattes. I got a flat white from here and threw it out and went to Caliches. They roast their beans in house and it was sooo good

You walk in. Eight people in line. Not a crisis — just caffeine. Behind the bar? Two baristas moving with the urgency of a Victorian funeral procession. If they went any slower, they’d legally qualify as decorative furniture. No eye contact. None. You’d think you’d interrupted something sacred — perhaps a summit on their deeply fascinating private lives. Because while eight paying customers are queueing like it’s bread rations in 1943, they’re having a full-volume catch-up about their weekend. Lots of giggling. Zero espresso. And when you finally reach the counter after aging visibly? “What do you want.” Not “Hi.” Not “Good morning.” Not even the fake smile we all exchange as part of the social contract. Just a verbal shrug with a pulse. Here’s the thing: I don’t need fireworks. I don’t need interpretive latte art. I just need basic human acknowledgment and something resembling efficiency. If the snails outside applied for the job, they’d be told to pick up the pace. And tipping? For what exactly? For watching a live podcast while standing in line? For the thrilling performance of “Passive Aggression: The Musical”? No. I didn’t tip. I’d have tipped the queue. They showed more hustle.
