Love this Boudin restaurant! The location is convenient, located in central Fremont. Staff is very friendly and check out is quick. Food quality is consistent and their signature claim chowder served hot in the bread bowl is much better than the canned soup or from Costco. The restaurant is really clean and seats are comfortable. The dining experience is excellent!

The Boudin brand has a long history of satisfying customers with its delicious San Francisco-style bread, and this branch in Fremont continues to uphold that tradition, offering a diverse menu that pleases the palate in the most unexpected ways. The first item I chose from the menu was the BBQ Chicken Salad. The salad was a brilliant medley of flavors - the smoky, juicy BBQ chicken beautifully contrasted with the crispness of the fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. The sweet corn and black beans added an excellent depth to the overall taste, while the BBQ ranch dressing and crispy tortilla strips lent a delightful crunchiness that was simply irresistible. The salad was fresh, well-balanced, and big on flavor, making it a must-try for salad lovers! Next, I sampled the Jalapeño Cheddar Burger. This was no ordinary burger; it was a taste explosion in every bite! The patty was cooked to perfection, juicy and packed with flavors, beautifully complemented by the sharp cheddar and the mild heat from the jalapeños. The bun, true to Boudin's reputation, was fresh, soft, and wonderfully aromatic. The burger was served with a side of crispy fries, which were a perfect addition to the hearty burger. The restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and quick with their service, making the entire dining experience a real joy. The atmosphere of Boudin SF was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual lunches and family dinners. In summary, if you're looking for a place that serves excellent food in a great atmosphere, Boudin SF in Fremont should be on your list. The BBQ Chicken Salad and Jalapeño Cheddar Burger, in particular, were standouts and well worth a try. It's not just about the food, though. Good food and ambience. The fish shaped sourdough bread with kids meal is a good idea but was quite hard. That could've been better. But rest of the food, including the butternut squash soup, was great so can't complain. Helpful, friendly staff.

Their online ordering function is stellar. Join their club and get a free bread loaf monthly with your already-qualifying purchase. Great deal if their bread makes you happy! Update April 2019: just popping in to say this spot meets expectations continually and here’s some current photos.

This was the first time visiting the store It was a pickup order for bread. We ordered around 420 and must have been ready by 430 and when I reached at 450 they said they do not have my order. It was a technical glitch mostly. The way the person who was checking up seemed indifferent, was not the typical customer service I am used to at Panera bread and for that reason I am removing 1 star. Overall the bread is good. Decent ambiance. I need to explore the place more in future visits.

None of the indoor tables were clean and their was an employee just walking around trying to look busy. Our order got messed up on our french dip, they tried to make it right, but it just wasn't the best. They forgot my grandson's fish bread that was supposed to come with his soup. We had to ask for it. The salad and cheesey bread were both amazing. I love Boudin bread. We'll give a cafe another try.

Took a long time to get lunch to go. They don't offer a small cup of soup anymore, just the larger bowl size for almost $10? And I'm pretty sure the kid's grilled cheese used to be bigger. Better to just get the combo option. Tastes good still.

Wildly disappointing. Pattymelt was two pieces of crusty bread and a very stale burger patty. French dip was also extremely dry and au jus, inedible. Cant ever go wrong with clam chowder and sourdough bowl though!

Wasn’t feeling good super sick, I didn’t eat all day was depending on having a soup from boudin. Lady closes the doors at 8:35? But they close at 9? the cook yells out “ she can’t dine in here we’re closed “ I understand closing 5 mins early but, 25 mins? That’s messed up. I won’t be taking my business here. Don’t come horrible service.
