Pho Mama Fremont Reviews
I recently had the pleasure of dining at PHO MAMA and was thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere of the restaurant is inviting and comfortable, with a modern design and nice touches like the decorative ceiling elements and a lively, yet cozy, vibe. Now, onto the food – it was absolutely fantastic! I tried both their classic Pho and what appeared to be their Bun Bo Hue (spicy noodle soup), and both were packed with flavor. The pho broth was rich and aromatic, and the Bun Bo Hue had a wonderful depth with a nice kick, complemented perfectly by the fresh jalapeño slices and herbs. We also indulged in their crispy chicken wings, which were perfectly golden and came with a delicious sauce, making them an excellent appetizer. Another standout was the grilled short ribs over vermicelli noodles, which was a beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful dish. The ribs were tender and smoky, pairing wonderfully with the fresh noodles and spring roll. The service was attentive and the food arrived promptly. PHO MAMA truly offers a great Vietnamese dining experience. I highly recommend it for anyone craving authentic and delicious Vietnamese cuisine!
Thank you for fulfilling my pregnancy cravings! The food was absolutely amazing. I’ve been to many Vietnamese restaurants thought out the Bay Area, and this has to be the best tasting Pho I’ve ever had! The restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated with a modern feel. Fast and friendly service with affordable prices. I will be back to enjoy more. Thank you!!
Forgot to take photos before destroying my food haha. Pretty busy on a Monday afternoon. Surprisingly attentive service. #1 combo and A3 pork egg rolls for just me. Took a side order of noodles to go with my left over broth. Definitely adding to my rotation of Pho spots.
Great spring rolls and pho! We had the filet mignon pho and the chicken pho. Broth was really flavorful, meat was fresh and tender. Atmosphere is really cute. Chicken pho came out later than the beef, but looked like different food came out a different times.
Even though Pho Mama is pretty new, I've been here three times now! My friends and I absolutely love their short rib pho, spring rolls, and sugar cane. One of my favorite spots for Vietnamese food. Each time I've been here, the food has come out quickly and the service has been great! Parking is also easy since there's a large parking lot.
Had a Lovely dinner experience at this place. We ordered tofu pho (vegetarian) and chicken pho 🍜.

Pho Mama in Fremont is amazing! The food is very delicious, the restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. They truly care about their customers and make sure everyone feels welcome. Everything here is just perfect The dishes are prepared with great care and suit everyone’s taste. Most importantly, the staff are dedicated to serving and always go the extra mile to please their customers. You should definitely visit Pho Mama to experience it yourself — the food is absolutely delicious!
This place is one of my favorite places in Fremont! They have the best pho and they will even customize it if you ask. For example, I love Pho but I prefer with the bbq short ribs, and they made it for me. I love pretty much everything on the menu and the service is wonderful and fast.
I enjoy the pho with no noodles and add veggies. It’s a healthy and hearty meal. Restaurant is clean and staff is nice
Excellent food, and service. The food always tastes the same and good. There is enough variety to try different items at different times. Though some of the non-Vietnamese items in the menu such as pad thai is not so tasty. I am happy to have a restaurant like this in Fremont.
An EXCELLENT location, I mean seriously ! The food was top tier, the service was amazing, like I genuinely believe I made some new friends ! The inside was also beautiful .. really felt at home. And they went above and beyond to recover my friend's air pods, so I would say this is an A+ restaurant !
First time visiting Pho Mama in Fremont and we absolutely loved the food, the atmosphere and the service! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good Vietnamese spot in Fremont for dinner or for lunch. I like that the food is not that salty compared to some other Vietnamese places where they overdo it on salt and seasoning. This place is perfect! Great for kids too.
I thought this would just be another generic pho restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised after trying it out! Their bun bo hue was phenomenal. The beef was nice and tender; there were generous chunks of meat, tendon, and blood. The soup itself had a nice kick to it without being overpowering. Just perfect! The portions are generous for the price as well. Definitely recommend checking them out.
Excellent food, so I keep going back. Family, friends and coworkers love it too. It’s a great option for anyone looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant option. Their pho, vermicelli, spring rolls, rice dishes, and even their banh MI (sandwiches) are fresh and delicious. A must try and you’ll be hooked.

Pho Mama on Paseo proved to be a delightful experience overall, marked by delicious Vietnamese flavors and exceptional service. The staff were the real highlight of our experience. From the moment we walked in with our baby, they were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to find us a suitable spot that provided enough space and comfort for our little one, which was greatly appreciated. We ordered their Pho, the seafood garlic noodles, and the fried chicken dish. The Pho was fantastic. The broth was rich, fragrant, and deeply flavorful – exactly what you crave in a good bowl of pho. The noodles were delicious and the seafood, equally good. Unfortunately, the fried chicken dish was the only letdown of our meal. While the flavor itself was decent, the portion size of the chicken was surprisingly small. For the price point, I had anticipated a more substantial serving. The 4 pieces of chicken we received felt meager and didn't quite align with the value offered by the other dishes. Despite this I would still return to Pho Mama given the opportunity. The quality of the Pho and the noodles were enough for me to return!
I ordered the Veggie, Chicken Noodle Soup with Fresh Noodles and a Vietnamese Milk Coffee with Boba (light ice). My partner ordered the Veggie, Tofu Noodle Soup with Fresh Noodles and Vietnamese Coffee with Boba (hot) - which I got to try as well. Food came out pretty quickly, which I was happy about. The broth was delicious, however I don’t think I will order the Veggie, Chicken / Veggie Tofu options next time, as the generous serving of veggies altered the flavor of the broth too much for my liking. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the Fresh Noodles in the pho - so will probably stick to the default option next time. The Vietnamese Coffee was really good as well - I preferred the iced version over hot. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and will go back again in the future.
It was a nice ambiance and amazing service. Table names are local streets and plenty of space for a variety of guest sizes. I got the #1 - Combination. Lots of meat provided, but I wish the broth had a bit more flavor. The hot tea was good (a small charge), but worth it on a cold day.

I ordered spring rolls and filet mignon pho, The shrimp in the spring roll felt like chewing on my boot, it seemed old robbery and tough. The pho was "ok". The most annoying thing was that the staff is so loud, they set on a table right behind me and kept talking loudly, then once they left another, worker just set and kept watching YouTube videos and it was very annoying.

The quality of the food felt off this and last time. The chicken Pho didn't taste good at all. The broth had no flavors, extremely thinned down with water. The shrimp cake was interesting because it didn't taste anything like a traditional shrimp cake, just deep-fried something. Nah, disappointed.
Pho Mama is a fairly new restaurant in Fremont and we were excited to try out this new restaurant and was hopeful that we can add another Vietnamese restaurant to list of regular places. The decor inside is very nice and clean. The menu is all in English, no Vietnamese at all. There were no sauces on the table that normally there in a typical restaurant. I ordered the filet mignon pho and the DH ordered a Special rice plate with grilled pork, a fried egg, and egg rolls. We also ordered a side order of egg rolls and an order of papaya salad. Sauces come out after you put in your order for the pho. There you are sauces!! The papaya salad came out along with the egg rolls first. The papaya salad was presented on a woven plate and it looks beautiful, the only thing that kinda threw off the taste was the inclusion of tomato chunks served with the salad. I love tomatoes but they don’t really bring in this salad. The egg rolls were just so so, nothing special to write home about. DH’s rice place came out next. The grilled pork was nice, but the egg was unfortunately over cooked. 😞 egg roll, again was just so so. DH was half way through with his meal before I heard the manager asked the server if our table had received all of our food and the server confirmed. The server promptly took our order and moved it over to the completed pile next to the register. Here I am, no Pho, and no one came by to check on us. We had to wave someone down when we saw them serving a nearby table to ask about my pho. I wished I could say the pho was worth the wait, but it was just ok. The flavor of the broth was a little flat and lacking. Out total check came to about $80 for two people for lunch. Overall the service was just ok, I can’t say it’s bad, they just forgot about my order, it happens sometimes. But the food is just ok and its a little pricey for lunch. So we were a little disappointed.

I ordered bun thit nuong tom (grilled pork and shrimp vermicelli noodle bowl) as takeout and they give very little pork and Only 3 shrimp. They should have a reasonable amount of protein for their order especially charging $17 tax included for the food.
0 stars! The quality and freshness of the food here really need to be checked. There was a hair in my shrimp veggie noodle soup, but since I just picked it out and threw it away, I didn’t mention. And I still paid and thought of writing a review but I didn’t. Later that night, I ended up with food poisoning. When I called the next morning to let them know, they told me to wait for the owner to call you. Eventually, I had to call back and the owner said there was nothing they could do and questioned why I didn’t say something while I was eating — which made no sense since I got sick hours later. Overall, very disappointing and unprofessional.
