Kung Fu Dim Sum Fremont Reviews
Our go to dim sum spot nearby our house. We usually like going to HL peninsula or Sifu Wong which are more of a fancy experience. I love Kung Fu because each dish is delicious and the price is reasonable. We ordered 4 dishes for less than $34. The service is great too even though there aren't many employees and a smaller place. We have ordered delivery and the quality is just as good still. We are now regulars! Favorites: - Golden sands seafood roll (deep fried shrimp wrapped in rice roll) SO GOOD!! - golden shrimp: deep fried shrimp ball - sui Mai mushroom and pork - fried pork ball Least: - custard bun - beef roll
A simple restaurant with excellent food and service. Everyone here helps. We had the dim sum which was excellent. Try the lesser popular foods to try out new dishes and different flavors. Caters to vegetarians as well. One of the friendliest and helpful people is shown
We went here on a friend’s recommendation. The restaurant is in the shopping center next to the post office, on the corner of Thornton and Dusterberry. The restaurant is a small place with only a few tables with a total seating capacity of 15-18. The menu is online only (scan the QR code at the table) so if you want an overview then you’ll need to review the menus in the window before coming in. We ordered a lot of your standard dim sum dishes (har gow, shiu mai, chicken feet, etc.). After a few minutes, they were brought out to our table. The flavors of the dishes were fairly standard but you can definitely taste the freshness. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the service. Will certainly be back!
Food is delicious!!!!!!!!!Took my bf to Dimsum restaurant, he likes everything, so do I! There are only 8 tables. Waited 20 mins to get our food, but food is delicious!!!!!!!!!! I gave food 5 stars! Waited a little bit to get bill too.
We just arrived from New York and woke up early craving dim sum. This was the only place open (major plus opening at 7 am!) and we took a chance. My family is Cantonese and we eat dim sum very often, and I was super pleased by this place. Everything was well cooked, seasoned, and overall just yummy. The guy there is also super nice. They were playing Cantonese music. Overall, highly recommend!
Good dim sum and won ton soup. A 4 only because this is first visit and want to try more dishes. Shrimp dumplings are nice and large, delivered piping hot to the table. The shrimp filling is perfect. Vegetable dumpling is nice ( sorry the shrimp was sooo good). Chicken won ton soup also very good. Nice broth. We shall return
Great dim sum without the lines! You can order to go. (Edit: we've been coming here at lot in the afternoon/ evenings)

This dim sum is made to order and is better than most dim sum in SF. There are better noodle places and Cantonese wok cooking but the dim sum here is top notch. This is a mostly takeout efficient Chinese joint with friendly service. The order yourself kiosk machine is convenient but deadly when over ordering.
The dim sums are excellent with a lot of choices. They open 7am which is rare for Dim Sum restaurants. I do crave dim sum in the early morning sometimes from my childhood memories. The crispy shrimp noodle roll is a must try and the pan fries shrimp dumplings are awesome. Not very traditional but tastes great. It's not a fancy restaurant, it's more like a Mom & Pop shop.
Always a reliable dim sum spot for me. Reasonably priced and great quality.
Delicious food, friendly svc and no msg. Many different dimsum choices available w/pics on window. I would consider them for takeout tho there are some tables available, too. People are hard working here as I believe all of dumplings are handmade.
Great flavor and generous portion sizes especially for the noodle and porridge dishes. The Char siu chow mein was delicious and the Xiao long bao simply melts in the mouth. Tried the black gold lava buns for the first time and it was simply delicious😋 Definitely my new go to place for dim sum in the area

Great, freshly made dim sum. Buns, rice rolls, and egg tarts were highlights. Order take out ahead of time if in a rush

“I recently visited Kungfu Dim Sum, and even though it’s a small shop, the food is absolutely amazing! The dim sum is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every dish we tried had a unique taste and was packed with authentic flavors. The portions were just right, and the service was quick and friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone craving delicious dim sum. Don’t let the size of the shop fool you—this is a hidden gem! Definitely give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!”

My daughter came home for vacation and she wanted to have dimsum at our favorite place Saigon Harbor Seafood in Newark, but it's closed indefinitely. We wanted to try a new place and we found this one on Yelp. It's in the place of a Korean restaurant years ago when the kids were little. It's a very small restaurant, the parking is limited in a small shopping center, but on SAT it wasn't crowded so we found a parking spot. It's small, clean, but not airy as the big restaurant. My daughter using the iPhone App and the food came out quite quickly. This is a family owned restaurant so the mom serves for everyone, quite effective. We ordered the usual, xiu mai, beef rice crepe, chicken feet, beancurd wrapped, soup dumplings, fried gyoza, some tripes that my daughter likes. There's no meatballs that my son likes. The chicken feet are up to par with others, very tasty and cooked perfectly. The beef rice crepes are good and soft, the beancurd wrapped has too much cornstarch, sauce is too thick although the taste is there, didn't look good. The soup dumplings are bland, not very delicious as other restaurants. The tripes are good. My son ate all the fried Gyoza and he said it's OK. The xiu mai wasn't full flavored and not fresh. I'm not sure if this is a cantonese restaurant or mandarin. It seems like a mixed one. To me the Cantonese restaurant has the best dim sum. Mandarin or chinese mainland has the best soup dumplings. Anyhow, it's OK for me, but the kids didn't like it much. The prices are very reasonable.
This is a cozy little dim sum place that opens early in the morning. Food is ok, and service is good. Congee with Pork and Century Eggs taste good!

Good selection of dim sum at decent prices. A substitute for dining in at large restaurants at a fraction of the price.

This is a dimsum takeout place. Dimsum is ok and they have 2 tables to dine in. Ideally is to have take out.

food was decent. its a tiny place so not for large groups for sure. the main reason I gave them 3 stars is for dine-in they have a mandatory tip for all sized parties at a sliding scale and if a single person wants tea they charge the entire group a per person tea charge. So, I was the only person wanting tea my entire group of 5 pays and extra $1 for tea they never drank. I may go back but only for take out from now on.
The food is good but I wouldn't come back based on my experience especially when there are other dim sum restaurants out there. It was the first time I had auto-gratituty at a hole in in the wall restaurant with paper cups. It was 18% tip for my party of 5 which is fine but the service wasn't good. The guy didn't refill our tea pot even though the lid was opened and we had verbally asked. We had to ask again. We had to go up for napkins, to ask for the check, and for boxes. He just didn't check up on us. The place wasn't busy and had two other tables that had two diners each. There were 2 call in orders. Also, a basic tea bag was $1 a person. Usually, this is free at a Chinese restaurant unless it's loose leaf. 3/5 ppl drank it but charged us all even though I said 3 drank it. They didn't even change the tea bag in the pot so it got weaker.
Food is okay. Service and experience is really bad. We walked in with no one to greet us even tho it is not that busy. We have to book our orders on the Machine only being told after submitting the order if we order on the machine we cannot dine in. To be fair, there are some hand written letters on the bottom corner of the machine indicating takeout only. First timers may not even notice that since we thought it is self service. We have to ask the lady to change our order to dine in. It took like 30 mins to get our food. Since we did not have a chance to leave the tips when we ordered, We try to keep the table clean as much as possible and promise her that we would double tip next time. To our surprise, she is pretty mad at us even with our good gesture. She basically threatened us that if we don’t tip her, we can’t dine in next time. Wish things could turn out better with some more training, understanding and communication.
The service is incredibly slow. I’ve walked in and ordered. Half an hour later checked in for my order, she said it’s not ready yet, even though people who ordered after me got their order first because he was speaking Cantonese with the lady at the counter. I asked why did he get his prefer before me, she said that he called in previous. She literally lied through her teeth when I saw the gentleman after me ordered after me on the same machine. I would not recommend to come to this place as it is a waste of time. She messed up on orders when there are literally 2 freaking tables. After 45 minutes got my order and now some of the food is now cold. So much for waiting here.
The waiter's attitude was very arrogant and rude. His tone was full of disrespect. I would not recommend it at all.
