This is the former food hall. The restaurants that used to be here have combined into one, but they're still serving more or less the same food and drinks as before. I got a honeydew latte (Dew you love me?) and it was really good! It's like Korean melon milk combined with espresso.

Maryam was the sweetest and most helpful person 💗 our favorite drinks were the biscoff hot chocolate coffee, the banana coffee and the honeydew coffee. All very fresh ingredients. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for making us feel so accommodated and at home.

Really smooth coffee, lots of options. Haven't had one that I didn't like so far. Easy kiosk ordering makes it convenient too. The spam breakfast sandwich is so good with their crispy tater tots ☺️

Such great service! I ordered something and they made it super fast, but I didn’t realize the default milk was oat milk. I asked if they could make it with whole milk instead, and they were so nice about it. I didn’t even realize they had already made my drink and remade it for me — and they did it for free! I feel so bad I didn’t realize at the time, but they were incredibly kind and understanding. The service was amazing and the staff were so sweet!

The staff here are seriously the sweetest! I asked about whether the item I ordered was vegetarian, and they were so kind and thoughtful — they even checked the ingredients twice just to make sure. It really meant a lot that they took the extra time to double-check for me. Everyone was so friendly and kind, and the service was amazing. Such a great experience!

Basically, Fremont Food Hall was rebranded to STARDUST Coffee House. It’s better that way because it makes every food vendor really fall into that restaurant since all their blinds share the same logo. However, they didn’t abandoned the vendor names like Smochi. Two other vendors share the same menu. Also, the menus are different now.It seems that most drinks that I used to order there are replaced with new ones that I’ve never. They slightly changed the interior. I like how they got rid of those large kiosks that are sitting at the left and renovated that section with furniture that seems to be looking like a waiting room. Everything else is mostly the same though. Not really many people here though as usual especially now that it’s Thanksgiving Day. I got Rice Dog and Purple Moon. The rice dog tastes the same as before but it’s only slightly different because I asked for powdered sugar sprinkled on top. The purple moon tastes similarly to the ones that I had before the place gets rebranded. I also thought that they serve rice plates too, but I don’t think I see them from the menu? I might have to check back again or online. Overall, it’s not much of the big difference. They only just rebranded the place and the menu. Like I said, there’s not many people whenever I visit. It could be wrong time or day, but I hope that this place does well.

I got the banana matcha, the banana definitely overpowered the matcha like at most other places. I couldn’t really taste the matcha, so it was basically a banana drink, but it was still really good! I think this is a good spot to come study/work at.

Food is solid, but the silverware is not usable. It’s borderline impossible to eat this food. Takes one minute of sawing to get a bite. Also it’s very very cold inside, needed 2 layers.

The drinks were pretty good. Only thing I wish is for them to also serve boba 🧋 with my lattes. It’s so hard to find hoijicha lattes around Fremont let alone with boba lol. Otherwise, I thought one of the main highlights were their sweet staff. They were super friendly and answered a lot of my questions about the menu.

If you’re someone who’s into “quality” coffee or matcha, you probably won’t like this place. Not what you’d expect from a nice looking cafe in downtown that’s surely paying high rent. I didn’t taste any hojicha at all in the hojicha sesame latte. It just tasted like black sesame paste and milk blended together. And their banana matcha latte is really lazy. No banana syrup (that I can tell) or banana cream top or anything, they literally just mash up a banana and plop it in. The matcha flavor is weak so you’re just drinking chunky banana milk with a hint of matcha. We’ve ordered the banana coffee latte a few times in the past though, which is better than the matcha version but has the same issue with chunkiness. It’s annoying to suck big banana chunks through a thin straw.

Coffee not to my taste... It was more like having cup of milk than latte And they do not offer non-fat or 2%

If you’re into great coffee, espresso, and teas, the words “banana, avocado, mung bean, and black sesame” should be all you need to hear. These are dessert-style drinks and it’s mainly what they’re pushing. Not terrible, but not my thing. If you’re into that sort of thing, this might be exactly what you’re looking for. To each their own, so take this review with a grain of salt. As far as getting a great espresso or cappuccino or matcha tea goes? They need to pay more attention to the basics (and the base ingredients—coffee and espresso in particular—and the tools and techniques used). Nice looking spot in what’s a struggling “downtown.” (Wish the City would do more to help grow this area). This is also the location for a virtual DoorDash brand serving food items from the so-called “food hall” stalls that previously occupied this same space (same owners just a rebrand??? I still see some of those food options up on DoorDash under “Food Hall” and the food options in cafe looked reminiscent of what the Food Hall served too). Point being: maybe quit trying to do so much (unless you’re trying to unload old inventory. That food hall food/concept wasn’t great). Fremont needs a stellar place in this particular area of town that is not a chain, and that serves great coffee, tea, espresso, quality breakfast sandwiches, fresh pastries, with personable customer service and real interaction…not another banana black sesame Mung bean dessert-drink place. Unless that’s what most of your customers or potential customers are truly interested in. You know your potential customer base better than I do, but based on my super unscientific poll of what my local coworkers and friends and family members in this area want, dessert drinks are not it. And seeing how the place was empty inside on my last 2 visits, not sure that’s what folks in this area are looking for. (Note: I did not try your food on my recent visits, just drinks). I’d say focus more on creating a warm, inviting cafe vibe inside by paying more attention to the seating, lighting, music, and overall ambiance if you want people to fill the place up and not just order to-go/takeout/delivery. Fremont needs more “3rd spaces.” We want to enjoy our food and drinks THERE, but most places ignore the overall environment. And focus more on the espresso, the teas, without covering it up with a million other ingredients (again, unless there’s some big demand for that. Who knows, maybe that’s what all the kids order these days and that’s who you’re primarily hoping to attract). This could be a truly great cafe! But there’s a bit of an identity crisis going on. But that goes for “downtown” Fremont in general. I appreciate ANY local biz that is NOT a corporate chain or ubiquitous franchised concept. We need more locally owned/operated everything in Fremont: cafes, full-service sit-down restaurants with a great patio (not just the typical fast-casual, order at a counter or for delivery type places), upscale bars/wine shops/beer gardens, boutique shops, and live entertainment options. Capitol Ave could fill that void, but man is it missing something! Let’s go Fremont! Will be back again in a month or so and give it another try. Good luck!

Love the ambience, they just don't possess the understanding of how to make espresso drinks. Lovely people though.
