Kentro Greek Kitchen is well-regarded for its delicious food and excellent service. The moussaka and pork pita are highly recommended. The tzatziki is also a standout, though one reviewer noted a feta flavor. A varied menu is available.
Tip: The tzatziki is a must-try, and be sure to inform the staff about any food allergies.

Excellent appetizers. The octopus and the calamari were better than our entree dishes, which were generally good. It was a little pricy but that's fine for the location in DTF. We didn't have any drinks. The place was very quiet on a Saturday night, good alternative to the busy places next door.
I got the moussaka and it was delicious! My bro got the pork pita and the meat was very tender. Their French fries are great too. My mom got the avgolemono and it was good, but she is not used to it having carrots and celery in it. The tzatziki was pretty good, but tasted like there was feta in it maybe? Not bad, but not like the greek tzatziki I know. It was still good tho! The tiropitas are nothing like real tiropitas, so be aware. They have honey on them and its not that thin crispy philo dough the traditional ones have. Its an interesting dessert type take on them, but not my style lol. Still a great restaurant tho! Very kind staff. No menus, its all written on the board and you order at the front. All in all, its worth a try!
Kinda came here be accident. Actually yes, indeed it was accidental that we came here. You see we found a parking spot right in front and decided to forgo the walk to our original destination. This place did not disappoint. We had the octopus appetizer, which actually came out after our entrees but we’re not mad. The octopus 🐙 was SO tender! Tried a Greek beer, Mythos…light and refreshing on a hot afternoon. The lamb pita was delicious and I had horia tiki salad and added chicken. Overall we really enjoyed the food and service.
I ordered the Mousaka dish and oh my it did not disappoint! Light and filling!
The Lamb here isn't the usual cheap gyro meat you see in many Greek restaurants. It was rich, and soft, and packed with flavor. We really enjoyed the tziki sauce, it was fresh and delish! My wife tried a lamb flat bread, and I tried the Lamb sandwich. Both were amazing dishes, and the fries were super crispy and flavorful. We ended the meal with some nice double cappuccinos ! The layout is nice, it was a bit hot in there, but I run hot so many may have not noticed it. All and all a very pleasant experience!
Very nice restaurant, professional staff and great tasting food. We had a group of five and everyone enjoyed their food. Had Lamb Chops with Roasted Lemon Potatoes. Portions are not huge which is actually appreciated. Be ready to order and pay at entrance (including tips).
🇬🇷 GREECE (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - While all of the foods here looked delicious in pictures, it came as a bit of a surprise that everything in person was so delicious, not one mediocre dish amongst the entire meal. Vegetables are fresh and crisp, cheeses are top notch, and meats and seafood all seem touched by the hands of a very talented kitchen.
Food was good. I wish it was more of a sit down with service type of restaurant, but it kind of felt like more of a corner bakery type of order and sit type of place. The fish was good. I liked the Greek vegetable salad. Zucchini chips were good too.
Cute little cafe-like spot perfect for catching up with the friends. The Lamb Flatbread was delicious. The Moussaka was amazing as well. Decor was very nice and the entire establishment was very clean and comfortable to be in.
It had been a long while since I visited Kentros and I always get the lamb burger. It’s always consistently delicious. This time was no different two nights ago. Great Greek meal, service and dessert. The Baklava yogurt honey was SO good. Always recommend Kentros when I’m in the area
Pita pork, octopus and melitsanosalata were excellent. People were very polite and the service was fast. Atmosphere, was very good as well! Prices are reasonable too! As a friendly feedback I'll say they need to improve Fredo cappuccino taste...
Salads and pitas were excellent. I’ve tried the chicken/lamb pita and the three chromo salad as well as the baklava. Our server was Tristan and he gave outstanding service and exceeded expectations. I’m big fan of Greek food and this is up there on one of my favorites. As someone who goes to cal state Fullerton, I’ll be making a return soon. GO TITANS
A very lovely restaurant. I'm a big fan of the lamb pita. It has gotten pricier over the years but even at $16 it is still worth it every now and then for me. The quality is always fantastic, and the portions are always big. I recently tried the moussaka as well and it was delicious. I highly recommend this spot.
Wonderful atmosphere, yummy food, great service!!!
It's our go to place for Greek food. Never disappoints. Great location in the heart of downtown Fullerton with plenty of free parking. Quick service - you order at the counter and they bring it out to your table. Menu is not overwhelming and has a lot of variety. Our favorite dishes are the flatbread and salads. We love all the lamb dishes. You really can't go wrong. Enjoy!
Everything here is incredible! I keep bringing new people and they are always impressed by the beautiful dining area and absolutely delicious food. Save room for some frozen Greek yogurt for dessert!
5/5 stars They had great service the employees were chill. Out appetizers came out less then 10 minutes of sitting down. And soon after the entree's were served. The only complaint I have is I ordered my lamb burger medium rare and it was medium well but I wont let that change the rating because it was still super good. The lamb chops were great and the beet salad it came with was so flavorful and colourful. I'll definitely be going back soon.
If you are looking for Greek food, look no further — THIS is the place. The food was excellent, the service even better. Paulette gave me a full rundown of the menu, and it was obvious she cared about the restaurant she worked at and the food she served. Additionally, Diego is a regular customer who was as delightful as the restaurant itself. If you do not think this place is 5/5 stars, you are UNCULTURED and probably NOT GREEK. I could not recommend enough.
I had the chicken Souvlaki, loved the rice side that came with. Others in my party had the pitas and those were also delicious. We enjoyed the dolmades together and those might have been my favorite thing of all
We came here with our team after our first meeting of the season and we all loved it! We all got the pita bread combo (some got lamb, some chicken). We all agreed it was delicious and those fries are the best fries ever! Can't wait to come back! Oh and the esthetics of this place is so beautiful and the employees so friendly!
Long time supporter of this excellent restaurant. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, hip decor, and a level of authenticity rarely found in geographically-specific cuisine. Go in with a large group, and order one of everything for a family-style dining experience I find hard to match. This is the best food in Downtown Fullerton.
Consistently delicious, authentic food and Greek wines. Have been going here for over six years with friends and family. From vegans to meat lovers, there's something delectable for all. Generous portions are perfect for sharing. Menu descriptions make ordering easy.
The food here was very fresh and reminded me of my time in Athens. Paula's service was amazing and she brought our food out so quickly! Would come again.
We live in Downtown Fullerton yet had never tried Kento until Saturday. Man have we been missing out. First off the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. You order when you walk in then seat yourself to wait for your food. Our food came out very quickly. My daughter and I gave it a try so we decided to share some items. We had the Horiatiki salad which was so fresh and flavorful. It seems so simple but there is something they add that just makes it so delicious. It comes with bread and you dip it in the sauce, it's just devine. We had the garlic type fries which were good. Enough to share for a table of 4. The flat bread we decided on was the Manouri and it was pretty sweet with the figs but also delicious. I would definitely want to try something different next time but only because their menu has so much to offer. We also had a side of the tzatziki and definitely one of the best I've had. I didn't see it on menu but they offer a trio of spreads and that will definitely be within our next order. We decided for dessert to try the greek yogurt with the baklava and the Loukoumades..OK LOOK NO FURTHER than the Loukoumades. They are so delicious, the honey syrup, the vanilla bean ice cream. Wow so good. We weren't a fan of the greek frozen yogurt but that was just a taste preference nothing they did wrong on their end. This place is top notch. I can't wait to go back. Also my daughter says you can get the salad with chicken as an entree...yum!!!
It's a pleasant little spot with excellent food and friendly service.
What a great little Greek place in the heart of Fullerton. We stumbled upon this place on way through. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was very good. Nice and bright inside during the day with sports on the TV's. The food was great tasting and the coffee was also very good. Next time I'll have to save room for dessert. We will be back!
Loved it! Excellent flavors and food. Wonderful presentation. Fast casual that felt like high end. Excellent hardboiled sea bass! Veggie flat bread tasted as good as it looked! Roasted corn was perfect!
This place is always my go to. I went with my dad for a late lunch yesterday and the food was awesome, I had a chicken pita and my dad had lamb. We both split a moussaka, and it tastes exactly how my grandma used to make it when I was growing up. Definitely coming back.
If Zeus and Hermes were here, this is where they would eat. Excellent menu. So many choices and very, very authentic. Lamb selections that will melt in your mouth, very easy to select if you are a vegetarian. Dessert, of course. Stuffed grape leaves....you betcha!!!
Stumbled into this place by accident after a long, exhausting day at a nearby theme park. The food was exactly what I didn’t know I needed. That lentil soup? Life-saving. It gave me the strength (and optimism) to keep functioning like a human again. My family went all in on the gyro options, and every single one was a win.
A great Greek restaurant with a wide ranging menu to please anyone. The chicken is our favorite, full of flavor through and through. The flatbread selection is also a must try. Have a bottle of Greek wine, authentic and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere to eat lunch, dinner, or anywhere in between. Return visit today. And this was after I finally made it to Greece. The food is still great and would make a Greek happy. I'm glad to see the restaurant is doing well and has lots of customers, as it deserves!
I went to Greece this past spring and Kentro is as good as the best food I had there. Very fresh, perfectly seasoned. The beet salad was amazing and I don't even like salad. Try the lamb chops and zucchini chips. My only recommendation is that they give smaller portions of french fries for the benefit of the weak-willed.
The spaghetti dish brought me back to when I used to have spaghetti in Korea with my parents and my sister. There was just something so homey about it and I legit had a ratatouille moment. Also, the french fries fries were absolutely delicious. The service was also very impeccable. We felt like we were really taken care of. I would absolutely come back.
We have been here so many times, so this review is overdue. Kentro is our hands down favorite place in DTF. We've tried so many dishes and have never ever been disappointed. The fried cheese, lamb sandwich, flatbreads, bakhlava - all incredible. The pics here show the lamb chops, super tender. The octupus is incredibly tender, our 2nd favorite octupus we've ever had...and this includes beating Barcelona! A must try for people with open minds and palates. (P.S. this is coming from a Turk - mortal enemies of the Greeks, jk)
Amazing food, forgot how good it was! Get Again: Meatballs, Jay and Sai,loved them Mousaka, Dayo wants just that dish to himself Dips: feta Habanero, Zucchini chips Tried: Lamb chops good but had twice already Charbroiled sea bass was good too Eggplant was good but tried twice already Kalamta olive dip good but a bit salty Next time: Yellow pea dip 1/2 chicken Calamari Beet salad
Nice fella behind the bar said his cousin owned the joint. Got the flatbread and had a mouthgasm. Try em out. Enjoy. 🤙🏼
To all the food critics out there, good luck finding anything wrong with this place. As an old customer, I always find myself going back there for such a beautiful culinary experience. Thank you staff and especially Tessa 🍉 for your courteous service.
Hidden gem. How does this exist in Fullerton? This is legit amazing Greek food at reasonable prices. The fries were literally divine.
The food was great. Interesting way to make chicken lemon rice soup. I've never had it with carrots and celery before. After we paid at the counter, we sat at a table where I think we were supposed to be taken care of by a server, but there was a lack thereof. Didn't refill our waters, just seemingly rushed us out the door so she could get the table back. Great lunch spot and great food.
Absolutely wonderful in every way. Beautiful. Comfortable. Not too formal or basic. Tasteful and appropriate music was just loud enough to provide a vibrant energy yet conversation was easy and natural without needing to raise one's voice. AND THE FOOD......! OMG!! AS GOOD as anything I've ever eaten in America or Europe. We ordered 4 items and shared them. (4 adults with tax was under $60!) INCREDIBLE! DELICIOUS! UNIQUE! Hard to imagine a better place to take a date or a group of close friends! DON'T MISS IT!
The best Greek food in OC !! Love the lamb chops, salads , rice and baclava !!
Ordered the delicious half chicken with lemony potatoes! My wife ordered the sea bass with a rice medley and it was incredible. Everything from the moment we walked in to the moment we left was so stress free. We ordered at the counter and even got a little wine sample of their house wines. Delicious all around the fries are ridiculously good too. The lamb we tried as well 10/10! Service is awesome too
My mom, sister, and I came in for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I had some questions about the menu which were answered in a friendly way, and suggestions were offered. After we sat down, we saw an item on the menu that we wanted to know more about. Our server offered to put in an order of the item for us, and brought it out hot and fresh. It was delicious! My entire meal was excellent. I had the kalamakia (pork skewers) with French fries. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the fries were well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed washing it all down with a cold Mythos beer. It all made me feel like I was back in Greece, down to the friendly hospitality shown by the excellent staff. I will be glad to eat here again next time I’m visiting my family!
A mix of casual dining and sit-down restaurant atmosphere but the food was definitely sit-down dining level. My family dined there recently. We had the calamari, vegetable flatbread, zucchini chips, souvlaki, and psari sti skata (pan fried swordfish). Everything was delicious but I didn't care for the fish dish. The calamari and zucchini chips were my favorite. The former was served in a dish of delicate marinara sauce. I usually am critical of tomato sauces that are too acidic but this had a creamy tomato taste. I wish there was lots so i could spoon it over the flatbread for even more flavors. The zucchini chips presentation was elegant. These were thinly sliced, lightly breaded and fried. They weren't greasy and the zucchini didn't overwhelm the taste (I am a big fan of zucchini so that would not have been a negative). The souvlaki came with a side of very delicious rice. My son really liked the chicken. Again, my least favorite was the swordfish dish. It was breaded and pan fried without much seasoning so the fish had to be fresh. I also wasn't crazy about the 'starch' side for this dish which was corn. Anyhow overall the meal was delicious. My son remarked that he definitely wanted to go back. Now he has recently become a LA restaurant snob since starting college there, so this is a high compliment!
The food was so good and filling! The prices were nice for the quality and size. Very nice atmosphere with a lot of sunlight. The staff were nice and attentive. Will definitely come again!
Awesome find. Delicious lunch. The salad was full of super fresh vegetables that were amazingly delicious. The fries were solid. The chicken souvlaka was pretty good, possibly outshined by the wild rice that came with it.
Excellent. A review recommended the beet salad and lemon chicken rice soup so I ordered those. My husband got traditional lamb gyro. We both loved the food. Good service too! The cold bottled water they served was perfect! Ha ha, I can't believe I mentioned water, but it was good.
Excellent Greek place. Counter service and very classy feel. Had some fun things to try beyond just basic gyros. Reasonable prices and excellent food.
I was NOT expecting the amazing food that I was served today! The ingredientes were fresh, every flavor complementing each other. The flavor is more like fine dining with a laid back environment. I highly recomend this resurant!
Delicioso, el tzatziki está increíble, equilibrio entre precio y una muy buena comida, agradable ambiente, solo más atención en cuestión de alergias alimenticias, pero claro que volveremos a probar todo, pedimos pita pork y Lamb Flat Bread
Excelente servicio y exquisita comida mmmm 😋
Food was unexpectedly good. Waitresses were very nice and caring. I wish they had pictures for their menu.
The interior is light and bright and very welcoming and they also have outdoor seating available. You order and pay at the cashier and then go choose your table. Your server brings your orders to the table as they are ready. We loved the zucchini chips and dolmades! The lamb Flatbread was okay but needed more flavor. The Saganaki was disappointing, rubbery and not hot enough. However, I loved my glass of Gavalas wine! Service was friendly and I liked paying at the beginning so you just leave when you want instead of waiting for the server to bring the check!
We came with friends for dinner. They have taken over the space behind and expanded their indoor dining room and added a bar! It was really good. We tried a wine from Lebanon that was excellent! This place hits all the notes for us meat eaters and our vegan friends! Lots of options.
There were three of us at lunch today. I ordered the Horitaki salad (feta, cucumbers, tomatoes, kalamata olives and onion ) The Kalamakia (pork kebab with briami and tzatziki) and a draft beer. The salad was fresh and delicious. It was served with some very good bread. The briami was a tasty stack of potatoes, eggplant, and onion. The pork kebab was disappointing, I don't recommend it. My husband ordered avgolemono soup, which he said was good. He also ordered the braised lamb flat bread which comes as a large piece of flat bread cut into 6 sections and topped with shredded lamb, oregano potatoes, tzatziki and Kasseri cheese. It was very tasty! He also had retsina. Our friend got the Paithakia - three small lamb chops, Kentro fries with tzatziki. He said the lamb chops were tough but he really liked the Kentro fries and the Oenodea wine he had. He also ordered and shared the Tiropites - two small phyllo pies stuffed with feta and served with mint and honey. They were a nice mix of savory and sweet. Next time we're there, I'll order a lamb or vegetable dish.
My first time here... They have great menu options, it's a very nice welcoming restaurant with great service. Love my salad I had. I can't remember how to spell it but it was wonderful. It had feta cheese, chicken, olives, tomato, crepes and this delicate citrus dressing. I absolutely love it!! Will definitely come back. I'll post the pic on the reviews. Enjoy if you decide to go.
A friend recommended Kentro to me and I am glad I checked them out. Lovely place and people who work there. I like the ordering and paying at the counter and then the food is brought to you. Traditional Greek food and some items have a little twist. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food a lot. More things on the menu I look forward to trying on my next visit.
This is a great place for groups of people to meet and share a meal together! The food is well made and presented in an appetizing manner. While the wine list is short, it contains quality choices that are reasonably priced. Enjoy!
The food is good. Everything is tasty. But if you sit along the area where you can see the bathroom. You can smell the bathroom deodorant which is kind of a turn off to the food. No wonder everyone sits on the other side of the restaurant. If it wasn't that, I might have gave a 5.
I was brought here on my first day of work and was recommended the beef salad. I ordered their chicken gyro and it was juicy and tender, flavorful and warm. The beet salad has goat cheese and can be overbearing for one person. This is definitely something you want to share. The fries were thin and had parmesan and fresh parsley. The fries were a bit oily and would substitute for some other side.
Good selection of greek food. Went there to try the lamb burgers and the pulled lamb sandwich. Huge amount of fries served with next time will try to substitute some else. The pulled lamb came with aujus to dip. Both were flavorful. Fries were just was too many to eat without overeating. Ambience is pleasant, service was good and very friendly. I would eat there again but a little pricey.
I went here for lunch. It's not a fast food area but rather a sit down restaurant. The lamb Gyrob was great. Not the mixed lamb meat you get at fast joints. This is the real quality lamb meat. Pricey though.
A really good place and I love coming here. But they can't fix their coffee machine for like a month now? It's quite unprofessional, now I'm questioning coming back because when *will* it be finally fixed?
Menu variado
A nice cute little place. Food was okay. They use healthy and fresh ingredients. Servers are very friendly and helpful. You may want to visit here for an experience.
Food is quite good and tasty. You order at the counter and then take a table. Some lamb dishes on the menu no longer available, just the lamb chops, which were good. Good salad and decent tsatsiki. The baklava was fair; too dry. Manager a little rude.
The fries are good, but they use the overwhelming flavor of there pickled vegetables t hide the fact that the lamb on a it's has zero flavor. Trying to be fancy doesn't always work. Just use good old fashioned gyro meat and your pitas might be alright.
We have been going there for over ten years. Food has always been good and staff has been very professional. However, on our last visit today, the cashier made two mistakes on our orders and when we pointed it out to her, she insisted that no mistakes were made and didn't even make an attempt to apologize. Very disappointed.
I have been here a number of times and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. But my visit today was extremely disappointing. We arrived about 8pm - my friend and I. Between us we spent $70. The service was extraordinarily inhospitable. The wait staff wanted to make sure the store was empty at 9pm so they could go home. They kept taking away our plates even with food on it and we kept having to stop them so we could finish our food. One waitperson tried taking one of our plates literally less than one minute after we asked the other one not to. At 8:55pm they turn on all the lights super bright to spoil the ambiance. It wasn’t even closing time. The kind of thing that might happen at a bar one hour after closing!! Restaurants are not factories. This is a pretty expensive place to eat. It’s not McDonalds. Greeks are famous for their hospitality and that includes the hospitality one finds at Greek restaurants. This restaurant has no resemblance to that famous Greek characteristic.
Ordered a lamb pita to go with the fries. Came out really quickly. Fries were soggy albeit very well-seasoned. Lamb pita was mediocre. Service was at least good. Honestly the paper bag and container were the most quality part of my meal. Definitely not worth $12. If I was out with my friends and they asked if we would go to Kentro, I would say “definitely not”. But don’t listen to me, I’m just a random person. Go be disappointed all on your own accord.
Although the food was great, waiter service was fine, and the atmosphere was fitting for the cuisine, they made us wait an hour for two dessert baklavas to come out. This was particularly odd considering everything else came out in a timely and orderly fashion. It really made me even more furious when I realized I already paid the tip and that I had other business to do that day. (For context we arrive at 12:00pm and left at 2 pm and we are fast eaters) I understand that this may have been a one time thing, but if someone ever asks me for food recommendations, Kentro will not be getting my recommendation again.
Very small portions for the high price and the service sucked. They brought my wife's food 15min after mine...I ordered the lamb meal Paithakia $22(4 small lamp chops and a cup of rice that was it) my wife ordered the chicken meal Souvlaki....$17( 2 chicken skewers and a cup of rice that was it) and another thing is they have no pictures of the food on the meniu so you don't know what you order
The owner of this restaurant is a very strange person. If you are standing in front of the restaurant, he will suddenly jump out and ask you if you want to come in or not. If you are not going to come in, he will order you not to stand in front of the restaurant. He will order you to go somewhere else that is not visible from the restaurant. He probably thinks that all the roads and public places around the restaurant are also the property of this restaurant. He also thinks that anyone standing in the restaurant is interfering with the business of this restaurant.
We ordered here on Thanksgiving because it said it was open online so we called to make sure and an automated system took our order and our money and even gave us a time to pick up our food just to find out it was closed! So the next day we call to get our money back and the lady that answered told me she was busy and the only one working that she would call back in 30 min so 1hr later we stop by the restaurant to talk in person and the restaurant is completely empty, we go to the lady there and ask if we can have the food we ordered yesterday and gave us the most dismissive and crapy attitude saying " Oh your the ones that I told I would call back, your the only ones that called today." We asked for the food she then talks to the manager supposably to see if we can get our food the she comes back to tell us that she can't because we don't have a ticket from our system so your refund should arrive in 1 to 2 business days. This is a very bad restaurant no compensation for time money wasted and the attitude was awful I will never be eating or ordering here again and I will make sure my family and friends don't either.
Frozen moussaka ,not authentic Greek food. Not sure who is in the kitchen, but there is not Greek or European cooks there . I order to go moussaka and avgolemono soup . Moussaka had big layer of still frozen eggplant , no seasoning on it, thin layer of potato’s no seasoning on them also, almost nothing of meat and big layer or cream that wA mostly with mozzarella. Tasted like American fast food . Not a good one. No taste of Greece at all. Soup was just ok, nothing special but ok.really disappointed
Have eaten here a few times in the past, food was good. Tonight food was average, expensive for what you get, and the service was poor, but slightly saved by another server. I find it highly offensive that when I have to go up and order my food, i'm asked to tip when there's been absolutely zero service provided. I tipped, because I felt obligated. It was the oddest encounter that I've ever had in a restaurant.I was so put off by the interaction with the the person taking my order that it made the whole rest of the experience frustrating.
My wife and I really used to like this place but it must be under new management:/ today I ordered the charbroiled fish and it was very fishy tasting. I could not eat it and they would not take it back! Very disappointed! We had some other choices that were good, but not as good as it used to be. We will not be back.
You will pay $14 for a glass of wine served in a plastic cup. You will drink water served in a plastic carafe out of a plastic ‘glass ‘. $35 for wine and a sandwich essentially. With plastic cups. Is this a backyard potluck? Another off putting thing is you are expected to tip in advance of the service. There was literally a kilo of fries as a side with my pita. Nobody can eat that many fries. They could have had a small salad and fewer fries. The only redeeming thing was the servers were very nice.
