Woodrose Cafe Garberville Reviews
Such a cute stop along the highway. We sat outside and everyone who walked by said good morning and was super friendly. The server was so kind and even gave us a coffee to go. The food was high quality and such a refreshing change from the roadside food we’ve been eating on the drive. Super fresh and organic. The soup and fries were especially were great!
Excellent diner. The potato wedges are really really good and the meat and veggies are very fresh and well prepared. This has great meat and vegetarian options. Not too busy and has great atmosphere. The turkey pesto sandwich is great.
What a cute little gem! OMG — Woodrose Café is such a charming, vintage spot with serious personality. We absolutely loved the atmosphere, and the food was amazing! Tons of vegetarian options, everything organic and locally sourced — you can really tell they put care into curating the menu. The handmade blueberry jam was insane — I don’t even usually like jam, but it was still warm when our waitress brought it to the table and I couldn’t stop eating it. I ordered the Greek omelet and loved that it wasn’t greasy at all — it felt lighter and healthier, which was exactly what we were looking for. Thank you for such a lovely meal! We’ll definitely stop by again soon. 🌿🍳💜
Wonderful restaurant with tasty food and great service. All good, highly recommend.
Tried this place for brunch we visited redwoods. This is an amazing place with many vegetarian options. Staff is friendly making sure that your needs are met. The ambience is great to hang out and there is outdoor dining as well. Tofu Rancheros was great. And even the woodrose omelette!
Hidden Gem! 💎 Great little restaurant to stop and grab a bite to eat. The staff is amazing- kind, friendly, welcoming and attentive. Food is delicious with lots of options for vegans. Fresh juice and smoothies available too! Cute decor and good vibes all around. Free street parking. Open 8am-3pm daily. Breakfast served until noon M-F and all day on the weekends. Highly recommend!
Quite possibly my favorite food stop the entire trip up the 1. Nearly everything is organic and locally sourced. I had the mushroom omelette with local shiitake mushrooms and a papaya smoothie. Both were great and the bacon may have been the most perfect strips I’ve ever had. The service was prompt and friendly, and their blackberry jam alone is worth stopping in for
I know this place is known for their brunch but we popped by for lunch as we were driving back to South Bay from Avenue of the Giants. Their grilled chicken burger and other sandwiches are just as delicious! We left very satisfied with the food. Folks are friendly and smiley. Good vibes!
A truly hidden gem. The eggs woodrose was an excellent and expertly crafted eggs Benedict. On the side were amazingly seasoned country potatoes. The Full House omelette had the most exquisite and succulent ham. If I lived here I would eat at this restaurant every day. 10/10
Cute little cafe with water color art for sale on the walls of local landscapes. The juevos rancheros was yum and they make several different types of chili sauces that are already on the table. My friend had the breakfast scramble special of the day and loved it
The Woodrose is a gem! We stopped here for breakfast while visiting the area. We initially selected the Woodrose because they had gluten-free options. I had the gluten-free pancake, the bacon, and scrambled eggs. It was all so delicious! It was the best gluten-free pancake I've ever had! The bacon was equally good. I highly recommend the Woodrose Cafe to all stopping through the area.
Delicious and enjoyable place! Everything was incredible good and it really taste organic and fresh! Nice people and service! We love the salsas and the mushrooms on the omelette! We’ll definitely come back again!
Amazing food and friendly staff. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and delicious so it was $8 a glass. Cute interior of the restaurant.

I’m usually very picky when it comes to food, but Wood Rose Café completely won me over. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. The menu has just the right balance of creative options and comforting classics, but the quality really stands out the most. Had lots of “organic” options. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home with their friendly and attentive service. It’s rare that I leave a restaurant this impressed. Highly recommend! P.s. we ordered the freshly squeezed orange/carrot juice, the California omelet, a bagel, and the sourdough English muffin. Try the homemade blackberry jam!

It's a small diner so best for 1 to 5 people. Small menu but they are very accommodating to non-standard diets (lactose, vegetarian, vegan, and full carnivore). I have always had really good food there every time.
A small town treat in rural CA. Excellent food & service in a tastefully decorated small restaurant. When you’re traveling through a small town you’ve never seen before, stopping at little joints like this are often a gamble but this was a great find. This place is worth stopping for.
A real treat for the weary traveler. Our host and waiter Brian is a gem. The vibe is exactly what you want from a small diner, for me the cherry on top was the local radio dj playing a mix of 70's rock n roll. The atmosphere, kind people, and tasty food made for a 10/10 diner experience for my wife and me. Get a pancake, you wont regret it!

Friendly people, good food, good service. But they bring the bill before you ask for it. The menu had a great selection of vegetarian offerings. I had the house open face sandwich and the curry, coconut, mushroom soup. Both were excellent and a value at $16. Coffee was $4.75 on the other hand. This place is an old standby in Garberville. If you are thinking of coming into town, (from a campsite for example) check them out first, but don't be surprised if they are busy. The town has a few other options.
Nice little place to stop and get a quick bite. They only serve breakfast on weekends and close early around 2-3pm. They make their own hot sauces and the people are nice. The food was good, the lox scramble was delicious, the French toast was good. Wish I could have tried som elf the lunch food. Easy to get to off the 101, plenty of street parking and good for kids.
A classic small town diner with lots of locals and travelers staying at nearby campgrounds. The servers are friendly, if not cheery... but also be prepared for no nonsense if the crowd gets big. Local artists are featured on the walls and you can tell this little cafe is a big part of the community.

We stopped by for breakfast this morning. My boyfriends portion had too much garlic but too little salt.. My eggs and toast were good. It’s a cute little cafe however slightly overpriced for the food they serve.
