Leo's Garden City Reviews
I would highly recommend Leos for many reasons. Everyone who works there is nice. Food was excellent: we had the spinach artichoke dip, ribs, chicken fingers and cookie sundae. Everything was cooked perfect and delicious. Furthermore, the staff are overall good people. When we arrived they said it would be about 5-10 minutes for a table. We went to the bar to get a beer while we waited. When i paid, i dropped my $100 gift card and i did not realize. When we got the bill is when i realized i lost the gift card. Our waitress found it and honored it (i think someone found it and used it). This speaks volume about this business. The food, the service and the caring staff i would highly recommend everyone going. I wis i could rate them 10/5 stars.
My brother, his wife, and I went to this establishment for lunch and were seated outside, since it was such nice weather on that day. We ordered spinach & artichoke dip and boneless wings as starters, which we gladly enjoyed; and Leo's BBQ ribs, the Trojan Chicken, and the Teriyaki skirt steak for the entrees. Each dish was quite delicious, although my sister-in-law found the steak a bit salty for her tastes. The staff were kind and very attentive as well. Personally, the Trojan chicken was my favorite out of the entrees. It came with a side of yellow rice, and the grilled chicken was topped with mushrooms and cheese. I highly recommend it!
I had such a great experience at Leo’s! The food was amazing — especially the burgers, everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The atmosphere was really cozy and welcoming, and the staff made the whole experience even better. Everyone was so friendly and made me feel right at home. Honestly, everything was great. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
Stopped into Leo's Tavern and was greeted right away. The staff was very pleasant, warm and welcoming! The menu had a great selection of pub fare. My husband had the Buffalo Wings and the Coffee Burger, and I had the Garden City Burger. Both were excellent! I highly recommend Leo's Tavern if you are craving a great burger and a fun, relaxed atmosphere with great service! I will definitely be back!!
First timer here. I had the steakhouse burger with bleu cheese and onion strings. FANTASTIC! Best burger I've ever had, hands down! Meat was cooked medium to perfection! Never had a burger with bleu cheese before and this place made it perfectly! Definitely our new favorite spot to eat..😊
Ambiance - decent; comfortable Service - excellent Food: - swordfish tacos - fish was bit dry and hard and topping needs some more finessing - fries - delish; hot, good potatoes; perfectly fried - house wine - the Chard/rose* was pretty good .... go try this restaurant
Leo's had an impressive and welcoming makeover which includes lovely seating outdoors. It's a significant change from the homey older look it had for years but now being more contemporary. Service was excellent. I think you would do well with the burgers and the traditional bar type appetizers. The chicken entree was so-so, and the Thai entree was way to spicy hot, which was not indicated on the menu. We frequently eat out for Thai food, and our experience is that particularly spicy meals are so marked. Our dinner experience not withstanding, we will definitely go back.
I've always wanted to go here for the last decade plus. I was slightly disappointed with the short menu. And even less Veg/Vegan options. My daughter ordered Waffle fries, tenders, and Avocados toast. I ordered the quinoa burger with added request for tomato, onions, and cucumber, and lettuce, came with sweet potato fries. Loved the sweet potatoe fries. The Avocados toast was good too. Quinoa burger was okay also but it was falling apart in the burger. Hands got really messy. But I'd Eat it again. My daughter, she did not like her fries. She said that the oil didn't taste right. That it had an after taste. She also didn't like her tenders. I could not cross examine her taste. But she likes them from most other restaurants, so not sure what turned her off.
Stay away from this place at all costs. If you order a side of Buffalo sauce, they will serve it in a half melted plastic container. Always tastes better when plastic is directly melted into my food…
My husband and I came for dinner and called ahead and the hostess said there were 2 open tables for two. We arrived about 10 minutes later and saw there were 3 open booths. The rude hostess told us we could not sit in any of them bc we were only a party of two. We inquired why when there were no other parties waiting to be seated. She told us it’s a Saturday night and people will eventually come. We are so disappointed and will not be visiting this tavern again due to the poor customer service!
