It might be far away from Ft. Hood proper, but it's probably ine of the best Defacs on the post.
One of the best DFACs I’ve been to
Great people. Great food
This is great DIFAC.
Wonderful dishes, tasty and delicious 😋.
First off, it is a DFAC. Secondly, it runs really fast compared to the DFACs that are here. Third, compared to other Army Food the food has been at least as good if not better most of the time. 4th, the atmosphere is clear and bright. There's always someone cleaning, and the staff has been quite Pleasant.
I didn't know fish could be wet.

For a DFAC it is pretty good. The staff is really friendly.
friendly staff. condiment signs should be bigger.
From the welcoming atmosphere to the delicious variety of food options, it's definitely a top-notch dining facility. The friendly staff and excellent service make every visit enjoyable. Whether you're looking for a hearty meal or a quick bite, they have something for everyone. The cleanliness and organization further add to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend dining at North Fort Cavazos Dining Facility for anyone in the area!
I usually try a DFAC when I'm somewhere new, hate it and then skip it. But this one is really good! Especially for breakfast, the omelets are delicious.
Over worked, under appreciated GREAT facility. Spinach, is so good. I get it every time.
DFAC like any ohter, but the people there are awesome! Dinner menus are pretty good as well.

Food variety is ok. Portions are small. Friendly staff
Is that where you really go above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is as good as it can be? Was here over Thanksgiving this year on a demob and apparently there was a cake decorate in contest though I think it was just among the staff because the cake smelled good but we're not allowed to eat it but we're looking at it.... :) there are some truly talented people here! The food is actually pretty good as far as DFACs go always a salad bar and the Short line always has burgers, dogs and pizza. They also have two incredible espresso machines that pump out some top notch espresso drinks.
I’ve lost track the amount of horrible chow halls I’ve been in. This one is definitely way better. Main line Isn’t to bad. When they throw down on the smoked ribs and brisket, not only does it taste good but goes fast. Short order is pretty typical with burgers, chicken, fries, some fried options (like wings). Salad bar has a good selection and not lacking in options. Lines go pretty fast, and a large part of the staff are super friendly. Dessert could be better. Options aren’t the greatest. Uniforms, pt gear, and civvies are allowed. Never had trouble finding a seat and they keep up on the cleaning.

Good DFAC food and great service. Recommended.
Wish they would bring back real dishes.
It's worth every penny. Seriously, these people are taking pride in serving food to soldiers. Food is good, but attitude is great.
Its a regular DFAC. Food is good. They make special days like Boricua or Thai food. That food was delicious! The workers were all very courteous. The only thing I didnt understand was why only 1 protein... if you choose 2 they literally take half of the first protein you chose. That is an unhealthy food working area action... Other than decent food, its the workers who are the real stars there shoutout to the puertorican ladies sitting in the counting area!! "Povechito"!!❤️🥰

Place is good. Food is meh. Out of milk constantly
It's a normal military DFAC, nothing special or bad about this one.
I wish they still had reusable plates/silverware/cups. It's a lot of trash and waste. This is disappointing to see it change when I returned after 9 months. Other than that, the menu can be quite repetitive with some version of baked chicken along with rice/mashed potatoes. However, the food is fairly good. It's better than other CONUS locations I've been to, but it's worse than the OCONUS ones I've been to in Kuwait. There is a main line, grill line, short order and desserts for the fatbodies, salad bar, fruit, yogurt, cereal, milk, soups, matcha balls, ice cream sandwiches, and fountain pop. The facility itself is very clean, and the workers are fantastic people. Lines can be quite long at times depending on how many units are here at a given time, but there is a good flow.
Food is ok as long as there aren't a lot of soldiers here. They reduce the amount of food you're given based on more soldiers being here. Chicken is always dry, and the salad bar offers the same veggies every day. They will constantly run out of things. Drink machines may or may not work. They do offer hamburgers they will heat up in front of you on the flat top. But they pull them from a stack of them soaking in a tub of water. Pretty off putting. I'd say the food is edible, but it's just never going to change. Bring your own hot sauce.
Best dinning facility on NFC definitely gets over crowded and runs out very quickly with certain things but other than that it's ok.

It’s a DFAC. You signed a dotted line to enter. It’s not fantastic the hours could use help. The food is DFAC. The colors never matter. Breakfast is the same. The staff is great people. They smile at you. Don’t listen to people who say it’s closed. They do work through tornados. Get ya chow and gains. Go during middle hours. Make sure you eat. Oh the milk is out a lot of the times. Same with that fruit juice. Some days they’re missing Ketchup or hot sauce. So be prepared to go eat dry or bring ya own sauce. As they say not my chair not my problem. Yea right. They call you when people need a knot tie? Mr.Captain tying knots. No way. No how. Not never. I’ll be back I’ll try anything a twice.
