Gran Caffè Roma Giaveno Reviews
I took 2 Moroccans at the table, fast service, I can't judge the food because I didn't eat it
I had breakfast on site with a cup of ice cream. Young and friendly staff. Really excellent ice cream. You can sit both inside the place and outside, because there are several tables. In addition to ice cream, the bar offers various options, such as cubic brioches or classic croissants. I highly recommend it
Courtesy, kindness, and professionalism...we ordered an aperitif at this charming bar, where you can admire the center of Giaveno from the outdoor terrace and enjoy the cool summer air. We were all amazed by the courtesy and organization that went into preparing and serving an excellent and generous aperitif. We enjoyed the house delicacies and a delicious and sublime sangria made by them. Our compliments, we will definitely be back!
Located in the center of Giaveno. This bar is in a great location with tables overlooking Piazza San Lorenzo. It's popular with cyclists and motorcyclists. We stopped for a snack midway through a long bike ride. The fountain out front is convenient, and the view of the bell tower and the pedestrian street leading from the square is pleasant.
The torroncino icecream Is the best you will ever try!
I had two hot chocolates and two hot zabaglioni. The two hot chocolates were very good, and the zabaglioni, one of which was alcoholic (with a 50 cent surcharge, but you couldn't really taste the alcohol) tasted a lot like melted zabaglione ice cream. Personally, I didn't like it very much. I was also expecting some biscuits to go with the hot chocolates and zabaglioni, like they do at other places. Too bad. The price was good, except for the surcharge for the alcoholic zabaglione. I spent €12.50.
Enviable location, beautiful place inside, great view on the square. 2 glasses of Arneis very good, but quantity to taste. Cutting board a bit sad, and the requested toast was no less. The impression is that there is a bit of tiredness in the management in which they limit themselves to the bare minimum. It could certainly aspire to much more instead of just being a refreshment point for bikers and cyclists.
A Coke at the counter costs €4—that seems excessive! It could be a perfect place for cyclists to rest, but instead, it seems like a tourist trap!
I ask myself and I ask myself, artisanal ice cream, but if there are no flavors, what kind of ice cream is it, especially pistachio? If I buy it in a tub at the supermarket, it tastes the same, and then 10 euros for a cup, what a shame, and then you have to remember that cleaning the tables is part of a good service, never more shameful.
Terrible experience, insufficient table service, you ask for things and they don't bring them, once you point it out, they laugh at you, then we also add the rudeness of those who work in this place. An experience absolutely not to be repeated. It is strongly recommended to change jobs. After the childish response of the owner, I add that, apart from the cleaning of the outdoor tables... to be checked by the financial police... you almost have to beg the waiter to have them cleaned... and then, dear gentlemen, you saw my face yesterday and the photo of the place is from yesterday, October 5, 2025... we waited over half an hour to even get some chips to accompany my spritz (by the way, really badly made).. After making complaints and after paying what was due and not drinking the infamous spritz, you also made fun of us... especially the skinny person 🫤🫤 who told me he would drink it in my place.. I repeat, you are rude...
Half an hour before the order was taken. Multiple reminders. Half an hour to deliver three sandwiches, two with pre-cooked cutlet (which turned out to be soggy) and one with speck and scamorza. The order arrives with one incorrect sandwich. After 20 minutes, the other sandwich arrives. Tables are dirty, not cleaned between customers. Trays thrown on the floor in unsanitary conditions. You guys are truly embarrassing, coming from someone who works in the restaurant business.
Terrible experience. The table was cleared of crumbs from previous customers only after requesting it, using an unsightly dishcloth that was then practically thrown on the floor... ready for the next use. Appetizer... served hot... Requested ice and chips: ...we had to ask for the chips because they were lying on the counter while the three waiters chatted (the place was almost empty). The ice arrived in a glass with a dirty spoon bearing residue from some previous use. Never again.
The food is disgusting, wouldn‘t recommend visiting this place.
