Henry's Glen Cove Reviews
Really cute little spot. Very nice people. Excellent food
I’ve been wanting to eat here for years, I went in with my friend and usually the place is packed and it can be hard to get a table but we got lucky today! We sat in a booth and right away we were obsessed with the vintage decor - the place was also extremely clean. My friend had two eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns. I had a ham grilled cheese on a bagel with fries. Both were fantastic and reminiscent of old fashioned diner food in the best way possible. I also opted for a chocolate milkshake which was 100% worth it. Pricing is more than fair total we paid about $20 per person. Whether you can get here on a slow day or snag a table on a busy weekend it’s worth it! Service is fast & friendly. They also sell chocolates and sweets to take home! Such a cute place, I will definitely be back!
Very old school diner . Delicious omelets..fluffy (pan made..not griddle) with generous amount of fresh ingredients. Friendly, warm service.
I been here couple of times because the food is great and the staff is nice, me and my family whenever we in glen cove visiting family we have to stop by at Henry's good breakfast and the ice cream delicious not too pricey either.
If you were born in the 40's,50's you'll feel like home. Food is good.
First time at Henry's and the breakfast here is amazing! It definitely has an old school feel to it, It felt like I stepped into a time capsule because of the old decor which I loved, made me feel like a kid. The prices are very reasonable and the customer service is top notch! Definitely hit them up if you're in the area.
I really enjoy visiting them Great taste food I ever eat, the price is amazing and the staff is pretty friendly. 😍 after many years coming to this place I enjoy with my family. There's not food breakfast similar like Henry's, I appreciate 🙏
Love this local little diner, has that old school feel. The staff is very nice and friendly and treat everyone like family. Perfect little town diner.
A nostalgic gem in the downtown area of GlenCove … when you enter your in 1929 .. CocaCola vintage everything !! As soon as I was seated the menu spoke to me .. “Pastrami Ruben” after I had the first bite …Best Ruben I’ve had in years .. !!! Coffee was great too (refills non-stop) great service.. owner Joe came out to say hi .. and suggested we try the homemade pistachio ice cream (wow!!) .. Very reasonable prices .. I highly recommend this place .. bring friends it’s a home run “”
This place has existed for 100 years. Very impressive. The diner works just for breakfast and lunch. So we take to go. And time we were waiting , it's was great conversation with girl, who work there. I don't remember her name, unfortunately, but she helped us a lot about orders. Thank you for that) So food, just great, very tasty. We ordered milkshakes, which they make from ice cream (homemade). Omg,so great. So I will definitely come back here.
Henry's is an ancient diner with very pleasant service and kind people. A wonderful place to sit and slowly enjoy.
Great local diner. Stopped in for breakfast. the omelette was great, as well as the French toast and pancakes. Only downside was the service was pretty slow. Had to ask for a menu, had to keep hailing servers down to order, for the check, etc. Everyone was very friendly though!
The service was fantastic, but the food was mediocre.
Food is excellent, service is very slow
I like Henry’s and have been there several times over the past 5 years. However, while not a bargain before, their prices have really increased and the price to quality is now poor. The bathroom and overall environment were clean. The older ladies that serve are kind but the younger seem blasé. The breakfast took over 30 minutes to serve. The quality of the ingredients is passable but is cheap and had a chemical aftertaste. The coffee was lukewarm/mediocre. I will opt to cook w better ingredients at home instead of going to Henry’s in the future.
Service is not just slow, it’s negligent and apathetic. We were ignored for about 15 minutes while we stood waiting to be seated, even though several workers saw us, and there were plenty of empty seats. The food took a ridiculously long time, and they got half the orders wrong. The coffee was awful. We would’ve liked to order ice cream but because our eggs took over an hour to get, we ran out of time. The food itself was decent, but horrible service ruined our visit.
Everytime I order food from this place. I’m told an expected wait time. I then arrive at that expected wait time only for my food to either have not been shown in the system or hasn’t been started yet. We gotta do better ladies and gents!!
