The Green Pickle Glen Rose Reviews
Spent the morning at the state park, needed lunch and Green Pickle Grill came up so we had to try it out. Great food, service was outstanding, also had an outdoor seating (Garden).
Homie and great food! Pickles amazing 😍
When I head to Johnson City or Fredericksburg I make a pit stop at Green Pickle Grill for a great burger and hand cut fries. My burger must have an egg and it is always just the way I like it. Very tasty! Stop by here! The staff is so attentive and hospitable. Sit by the window and watch the people!
Cute and cozy place with the best burgers! I got the Jalapeño Popper burger with extra jalapeño ranch and it was fantastic. The poppers were awesome, not too greasy with a great crunch. The fries were perfect, too! A unique and enjoyable experience all around.
You must try the fried pickles. I had a burger and it was well seasoned and quite tasty, the wife had a chicken fried steak that was also good. Plus excellent hand cut fries.
I eat here every chance I get. My favorite is the grilled chicken sandwich. It’s always juicy and tender. The fresh cut fries are amazing! We have always had wonderful service and the facility is very clean.
I always have high expectations when it's a restaurant with the biggest SELLING POINT is their pickles. Went in and was NOT disappointed. There food combos are what I didn't think I needed. And Of Course the fried pickles that they say are a must try Are Absolutely a MUST TRY!! Amazing place will have to go again the next time I'm going through
The food is so good! I had the best chicken fried steak sandwich I have had in many years. It was tender and fresh and so perfect! Everyone else loved their burgers. The staff is so kind and helpful. You can tell they care about the food quality and experience you have at their restaurant. Yum!
Over all the whole experience was great. Our burger tasted good, but I wish there was some seasoning on the meat and the bun wasn’t strong enough for the weight of the burger. The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly and attentive. No complaints. The fried pickles were hot and delicious and the ranch was especially good - thick and creamy. PS - It did take some time for the food to arrive but as the sign says, this is not a fast food restaurant. Please be patient, it is worth it!
We came here looking for a restaurant for our family dinner after hiking at dinosaur state park. Everyone loved their dinners! We started with fried pickles, you can tell the pickles were made from high qaulity cucumbers, they were thick cut and a little spicy. The kids had Chicken Tenders and Corn dog, my wife had the Chicken Pita and I had a Patty Melt. All the food was fresh and the service was great! We even treated ourselves to a brownie with a scoop of ice cream. I highly recommend this stop! Easy parking and clean bathrooms too.
We arrived roughly an hour before they closed and it was almost full. The place was quaint, cozy nostalgic and it definitely smelled amazing. We were promptly seated and as I looked around I felt like I was home!! From the photos on the wall to the chalkboard with pickle themed jokes there was plenty to look at. The staff was super friendly and after ordering and waiting a few minutes we got our food. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer and can definitely say they were delicious. Please keep in mind this isn’t fast food where someone takes frozen food and then deep fried it. This is not instant food so it takes a few minutes to get your order. Sit down, eat your appetizers and enjoy looking around and chatting with the people you are with. My jalapeño burger was great and so were the fries. This is definitely a place I recommend and definitely a place I’ll be coming back to.
Stopped in for lunch while on business trip. Staff extremely friendly and very cool interior. Ordered the green hatch Chile and cheddar burger with bacon. One of the best burgers I have had in quite some time. Bun was crisped up on grill and the hatch Chile flavor was awesome along with the super juicy burger. Fries were fresh cut... great place and look forward to stopping back in to try some different burgers and the onion rings.
Stopped in wanted to support something local on our way to dinosaur valley. We expected beer but that was our bad not reading any reviews or online info. But who cares, food was delicious and came out piping hot. Service was so good, very attentive and very sweet ladies. The gravy served with the tenders was our favorite ever and my patty melts bun was perfectly buttered and toasted. Wish we had tried the fried pickles
If you want a quaint and friendly experience you will want to come to this spot. The chicken tender salad was delicious. My husband got one of the specialty burgers and my friend got the porterbello mushroom burger. The tea was also very good. Service was excellent and everyone there is very friendly.
Great burgers! Our group had several different burgers and the chicken fry. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was top notch. It was a very slow night for them.
This is small restaurant that makes food fresh so there will be a wait, but it will be worth it. You need to wait to be seated. Service was great everyone was friendly even the people of Glen rose! Fried pickles fresh and hot, batter has a spicy component to it so keep that in mind. Fries are fresh cut and you will need to add salt but they are good. BLT sandwich was the best, my cheeseburger was more well done than I like but still good. Chicken tenders hot and crispy. Definitely a good place if you are looking for fresh homemade food.
Enjoyed eating there. Food was good. Servers were excellent. Atmosphere great. On a national holiday is was full. The main issue was the wait for the food once we ordered...one hour. Servers kept tending to us and we understood their delima, but the wait was still on our time. Tried the chocolate pie they made there, not that great as it had an odd burned flavor.
The place is cute, the staff are friendly, but the food is average at best and my fries were al dente.
First of all, the food is amazing, like really good. Great atmosphere for a small place. My issue is that it’s insanely expensive and their menu is misleading. It states all burgers come with fries or chips but they charge you for them because they’re waiting on new menus. Well, too bad, don’t charge me until you get your new menus, or let me know when I order that it’s actually extra. Today we had two single patty cheeseburgers, evidently two orders of fries and two drinks and it was $45, for lunch, insane.
Meat had absolutely no flavor, I ate the burger because I was hungry. Service was OK, but they dont give silverware and I had to get ketchup from next table. Only 1 server. They had fans, ac must not be working well, it was warm in the main room. Fries were an upcharge. You would think that you would get fries or chips with a burger that expensive. Won't return or recommend.
Food was great but prices charged on bill where high than listed on the menu. (See pictures) Also they up charged for just about everything. $1 for 1000 island dressing for a salad? $1 for jalapeño toast, $5 for onion rings with a meal instead of fries? This would be fine if mention, owner/manager claimed new prices went effect Friday and new menus will be printed Monday. Today is Sunday.
Went on Mothers Day after so many people saying it's a great place. Great maybe if you just got out of the Pen. after doing a life sentence. Even then I don't know. We were the 1st people in, they sit you without silverware, no big deal until you get your coffee, and have to wait for the server to come back to ask for a spoon to stir it. The server got my Mothers order wrong and then argued with her. The fries were oily and greasy, the Phili cheese steak literally was the size of a hot dog bun and flavorless without ranch. The best thing was the onion rings but they're literally a dollar piece, 10 bucks 10 onion rings.
