Frisella's Roastery Glendora Reviews
Several friends and I met at Frizella's to have a glass of wine, something to eat, and listen to the band. The servers were friendly and worked to make sure we had everything we wanted. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was served with a glass chiller which was filled with ice. The presentation was beautiful. The food was delious. The wine has a large list of choices, we easily found one that we would enjoy. Water, my drink of choice, was served with a slice of lemon. The server kept our water glasses full. What a fun night out with friends.
Delicious BBQ and great portion sizes. Enough for my husband and I to share. Would come back as it’s great food and service.
Great place for a hometown BBQ sit down or take out. We have been going here for years and the food is great and service fantastic. It is also located in a cute downtown area that is fun to walk around.
Excellent, gourmet-style dishes and superb service in a friendly environment. A bit pricey but everything is pricey since the end of the quarantine. Highly recommend this location.
From the moment we were seated, the experience felt smooth and enjoyable. The tri tip sandwich was packed with great flavor, the fish and chips were a hit with the kids, and the BBQ chicken salad was fresh and satisfying. Attentive service and well prepared meals made the entire visit feel just right.
Frisella’s is truly a gem in our community. The owner is absolutely amazing — so welcoming, family-oriented, and incredibly kind with my son every time we’re there. We recently hosted our Women of Business event, and she set everything up beautifully in a family-style layout that made the entire evening feel warm, connected, and effortless. The food is always delicious, the portions are generous, and the staff is attentive and friendly. Whether it’s a special event or a simple meal with family, Frisella’s never disappoints. So grateful to have them in Glendora!
One of my favorite restaurants. Everything on the menu is delicious. My faves are the Chicken tostada salad, the pulled pork sandwich, the fish & chips, and the roast chicken dinner. I love to eat outside. Frisella's is a Glendora classic.
My associate and I went here for lunch and had Josh as our server. The place was just opening, clean and organized. Josh did a great job servicing our table as we weren't in a hurry. We ordered a lot of food and almost ate it all. The food was prepared with care and was very large portions which were appreciated. When finished Josh wished us a great day and we took off fulfilled and happy. Thank you for having us, we will be back.
It's been a few years since we came here but we were driving through Glendora and decided to stop here for lunch. The service was very good and the food was delicious. I got the tri tip sandwich, my kids got the fish and chips and my wife got a salad with BBQ chicken. Everything was perfect and we will definitely go back the next time we are in town.
I had such a wonderful dining experience. A charming exterior with outdoor seating. Indoor dining area has several different seating options. Open and nicely decorated. A small bar that serves going drinks. Impressive menu with a lot of great selections. I had the fish and chips and they were wonderful. I look forward to going back and trying more food and drink. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There's street parking and free city lot parking.
DESERVING OF 10 STARS- WOW! This restaurant was just amazing! The decor is very inviting with one entire side in brick and they have hung up empty picture frames, completing a rustic look.( see photos) I ordered the 1/2 Turkey Sandwich and Vegetable Soup ( see photo). It was the best soup I have ever tasted. And the sandwich was also delicious. Serving sizes very large, so you get a lot for your money. There is both inside and outside seating available. This restaurant has their act together in every way. They do everything so well, including the little things like keeping your beverages filled at all times. It was very busy while I was there, and the servers handled it like champions. TRY THIS RESTAURANT! YOU WON'T REGRET IT
The only bad thing about this place is that they only serve breakfast on the weekends. Their food is amazing!! Their biscuits and gravy are the best I've ever had! I've been eating here for years and have never had a bad meal or bad service. All the waitresses and waiters are extremely friendly and do their best to ensure you have a wonderful experience.
nice cozy restaurant and bar. the food I've tasted has always been great. I' ve had the tri tip salad, and last visit I had a side salad and the homemade soup. it was great !.
Fish n chips excellent Tri tip salad with European salad mix excellent Waitress was a little overwhelmed A car show was going on so she was busy She said she was alone at the time so it took a while to get drinks and food. Before our food arrived, we saw several waitress. Hopefully she has a better day today. We left her a nice tip. Excellent food and a nice outdoor patio.
Meet friends for lunch today after tour of Rubel Castle in Glendora. Ordered tri tip sandwich with side salad. Everything was delicious. The tri tip was cooked perfect and very tender, The bbq sauce is smoky & sweet, yum 😋 asked for extra for left overs. Subbed salad for chips and a side, crispy and fresh lettuce, croutons tomatoes and carrots very good. Others ordered and enjoyed fish and chips lunch special, soup salad combo, bbq sliders. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend. Service was very good, there were 2 servers when we arrived, at check time just 1, slowed things down. Separate checks make our lives easier, thank you!
We enjoyed a wonderful outdoor evening dinner. Ambiance was lovely and the service was great! Our group had the brisket dinner and fish and chips. The brisket was perfectly cooked and the BBQ sauce was the absolute star of the dinner - perfect blend of sweet and tangy. The side dishes we had were the mashed potatoes with gravy, Mac-n-cheese, and green beans. The green beans were wonderful but the potatoes and Mac-n-cheese were under-seasoned wish was solved by adding our own salt and pepper. Both the gravy for the mashed potatoes and the sauce for the fish-n-chips were too thin for our liking but the overall dinner was great. We would definitely return for the brisket and sauce - it was truly delightful.
A bit of a rocky start, but service really picked up and food was very good. It was the first week of dine in and they still have outdoor seating so was confusing where to check in. I asked a passing waiter and he said we can take a seat, who we do. A few minutes later, I see another server asking others if they had checked in and would get them a table and looked our way. After a while I realize no one knows we sat ourselves, per instruction, so I went inside to talk to the waitress I saw attending to others. She might have been the hostess, but was also waiting tables so it was a bit confusing. Once I let her know what happened, she told me she would send out a waitress with menus. From that point on, I think things went much better service wise. As for the food, it was mostly delish and portions were huge! We ordered the House specialty Chicken, rib and brisket combo with chicken tortilla soup and red cabbage. We also ordered the mozzarella sticks. First off, they split our meal without letting us know and then they brought out the first tray. I commented how much food that was ad she pointed at the tray and said she would bring one more. I assumed it was an extra “plate” but found out it was another tray with my half of the food!!! Crazy. The mozzarella stick order was huge too! Delish too. Crisp on the outside and sheet goodness inside. The marinara dipping sauce was awesome too. As for the rest of the meal, chicken and ribs were on point with chicken as the standout of the entire meal. BBQ sauce a perfect compliment. The brisket was a little dry but had great flavors. Cabbage salad on point. Tortilla soup had promise. Was outside and cold, so the soup got cold very fast which didn’t help but it needed a kick of some kind. They don’t have salsa or tapatio (just tobacco), so we decided to pack it to go along with the ton of leftovers to enjoy later, which we did. Definitely worth another visit, but I do have to admit I did go for the hope of roast turkey with mashed potato’s and gravy, which was no longer on the menu. I guess I’ll wait until the menu gets back to normal or I crave that chicken.
Location: Good, Parking: Decent, Service: Okay, Senior menu: No, Outdoor Dining: Yes, Food for price paid: Decent, Overall: This was a first time try as it has been a bit since I have been able to review due to back pain. I did enjoy the Calamari, but I did not enjoy the sauce that came with it. Very bland. The tri - tip sandwich was pretty good. The ribs also were pretty good. Flies were a bit of a bother and the fact that I had to ask to get another drink was also a let down. I would like to come back to see if they can make some minor adjustments to enhance the experience. Until then 3 stars...
We heard that this place had good bar b q, so stopped in since we were in the area. The service left a lot to be desired. I asked for a drink menu and had decided on a beer. When the waiter finally came to take our food order, he whisked away the menus and didn’t allow me to indicate my beer order. Ok, so I’ll drink water. My chicken salad was very good…but the beef that my husband go was SO dry…we needed the water. Don’t think we’ll be coming back here again.
We liked it... didn't love it... the server was really nice .. and the place is nice inside. The food was ok... but not great. We had some appetizers, chips and onion rings., they tasted ok.. but very greasy... big portions though. The salad was good... and we might try ot3 again.... it might have been a bad day... but I do know it was very greasy food.
We went for brunch. For the price, the food was mediocre. The service was painfully slow. They only had one server and nobody helping him. Maybe we just picked a bad time, but we were highly unsatisfied after dropping $150 for four plates. Also, the bathroom floors were sticky. Poor presentation. The street seating, however is pleasant during good weather.
Only 1 person working there. Absolutely horrible to do that to your employees. Since my food was probably sitting around for so long, it was cold. I just gave up and went somewhere else. What a waste of $22
