It's the best bad idea at the worst time with the best bad for you food. I Always regret coming here but always enjoy it in the moment and crave it on the way there. The service at this location is fast and they have a freestyle machine for custom crafted soft drinks.

This horrible place is cheating the customers inorder to make more money. Teriyaki chicken ball suppose to be with 6 oz chicken they serve way less then half of the portion this way they make money by cheating the customer it's their way not just occasionlly.

I was dropping off at the SB airport and wanted some late breakfast ON Christmas Day, and I was so grateful this place was open! The drive thru was FAST, the service was great (he didn't seem angry to be working on Xmas), and the food was better than any JITB I've ever been to!! It was restaurant quality, honestly! The cheese was melted, the eggs were fluffy, the coffee was fresh, everything was piping hot. It made a lasting impression! I love this chain, but my experience at this location was really surprising in the elevation of quality I expected. I don't know if it's the neighborhood (big tech industrial area) or what, but I'd be willing to drive out here again if the food is always this good!

Guadalupe helped us order and gave us restroom code. We enjoyed jumbo jack plain, bacon ultimate cheeseburger, and grilled chicken sandwich, curly and regular fries, Coke, HiC Punch, and diet caffeine free cherry Fanta and egg rolls. All very good

We were very pleased with our fast food experience at this location. We really wanted crispy hot chicken fingers and onion rings. They were all fresh and crunchy, exactly what I could've hoped for. We also got a chicken sandwich that was perfectly hot, crispy, and the vegetables were super fresh. It was super quick in the drive-thru too. Overall, this really redeemed fast food for me.

Tried the app for the first time and it didn't allow me to do what I needed. A lot of glitches. But when I went inside to get my order, the gentleman was very apologetic and allowed me to order what I really wanted with the app price. 👍🏼👌👍🏼

Bad service we are still going to jack in the box because My son liked a burger that was for sale the girl just shined us on we asked for a Coke no ice the girl grabbed it from my hands and through it in the garbage. Very defensive about everything and I will be sending a letter to the corporate office and I will try to get some thing done about her she doesn't like white guys.

Customer service here is just ok and sometimes, more often then not, they forget something from my order. I don't usually go inside but when I have its normally calm and quiet. Overall, it's not a bad place to stop for a quick bite to eat.

Overall, highly recommend for the poor college student

This Jack in the box is the worst by far! Today they forgot to give me my Jumbo Jack at the drive thru, and this is not the first time it's happened! I'm sick and tired of them forgetting part of my meal. I checked the bag at home and of course there was no Jumbo Jack but I didn't feel like going back out. They are supposed to get it right the FIRST TIME! Ain't nobody got time for that!!

Something is almost always wrong with my order. They forget something or short you on stuff all the time. They are busy and think they should staff it a little better. the staff that are working are always working hard because they don't have enough people during there busy times.

Love that it's open 24 hours (lobby too), especially since I work nights. Some employees are NOT friendly or even polite. And the restrooms need a code to use them, which the employees try not to give out. Not very customer service friendly

They took forever to sell me some dry sucky tacos. Too much for fast food and fast service. Plenty of employees just standing around unfortunately it seems that this is the normal here in Goleta. Inefficient comes to mind for most of the businesses.

I'm editing this review from 1 star to 3 stars, as the situation has improved somewhat since the end of last year. Months after I wrote this review, I was nearby and decided to check and see if I could grab something. They actually had staff. The dining room was open during the posted hours (I still went through the drive through, but I saw it was open). I was able to go through the drive through at an acceptable (but still not fast) speed. I've been there a couple of times since then, and there were still occasions where it was unacceptably slow, but I didn't see anyone try to go inside only to find the door locked, and I haven't had to sit in the drive through for more than 25 minutes. Not an amazing accomplishment, but much better than it was before. Original Review: This is the third time in a row that I've had to cancel my order because the drive through line simply doesn't move. It's been like this for the last 4 months or so. Previously I've just waited it out, often up to an hour. But now I cancel my order and go somewhere else. It can easily take over 10 minutes per car, and they lock the dining room early every day (even though it's supposed to be open) so it's not like they're busy with customers inside. I've filled out their survey before to let them know, in detail, what's going on. They don't respond. You'll see plenty of recent 1* reviews mentioning the same thing. The owner always responds to the review telling people to fill out the survey, that they're working to make it better, etc. Nope. I've sent them all the info multiple times. No response. A couple of years ago I reported an incident where they locked the dining room early and I couldn't go in to pick up my order because of it. The owner responded and made it right and said he would address the issue. I have no clue if it's the same owner now as back then or not. Current management either doesn't care or cannot do anything to fix it. There is 1 staff member there that does a great job (the older guy) and is always hurrying, being friendly with customers, and has a positive energy. Everyone else I've seen at the window is awful. They barely grunt at you over the speaker, move intentionally slowly, rudely pass your order to you, and can be seen just diddling on their phones doing nothing instead of taking the next order, bagging current ones, or doing anything related to their jobs. I have no clue how the others working in the kitchen are, but the staff at the window, except for the one older guy, are horrible. I used to go here regularly because of the great deals in the app and the new rewards program. I haven't successfully placed an order since late September. I'll go there, see the drive through line backed out into the street, and leave. 3 times in the last couple of months the line was short enough that I decided to submit my payment in the app, but it took so long that I had to cancel it and go elsewhere. It doesn't matter if I go at 8 PM, 10 PM, 12 AM, or 1 AM. This location is essentially non functional. Ultimately, I predict this location will be closed in a few months.

The girl checks the bag that's been sitting in front of the window and sees my food is there finally and hands it to me. It's very frustrating experience for me and I think that they should drug test the employees.

The speed of the service at the drive through was great for the crowd going through for breakfast. Ordered the sausage breakfast burrito and it tasted like rotten grease and could not eat it, I was already on the freeway or would have returned and got my money back.

The only reason this isn’t a one star, is because I like the older guy who wears glasses that works. He seems to be the only one that appreciates his job and is usually nice especially when they mess up the order. They usually lock the lobby hours early, I’ve gotten here at 8 and it’s already locked when they say it’s supposed to be until 10. I usually prefer coming in after ordering on the app since drive thru always takes 10+ min per car. They’re not making everything from scratch so there should be no reason the lines take so long. The number online either doesn’t work or they purposefully don’t answer the phone.

Had a big order. Missing my daughter's meal. Asked the workers about it . They said they would bring it to my car and never did. Had to go up to the drive thru window twice. The 2 young guys that helped me had a dumb look on their face at the very end like they had no clue what I was talking about. Getting tired of wasting money here. Not sure why I keep expecting them to get the order right for once. Missed a drink completely. Paid extra for sauce (since they never include it otherwise) and didn’t get it—again. Can’t even enjoy my chicken without it. I also asked for no pickles on my burger due to an allergy, and it came with extra pickles. That’s not just careless—it’s dangerous. Save yourself the headache and just go to the McDonald’s across the street. At least they can read a receipt.

Came in after 9pm for their munchie meal but was charged regular price! After I pointed it out to them on the receipt they told me they couldn't refund me the money because the machine automatically charges it. I was told to come back in the morning when the manager was there. I went for several days straight and never once was able to connect with any Manager. Check your receipts, they rip you off! We no longer come here!

We were told that they're out of butter, after we received our pancakes! No communication @ all! She should have informed us before we ordered the pancakes regarding the butter. So I went to McDonald's to get butter for my family! Next time we'll just go there!

This location may be a staple for the local IV kids and Goleta Lokes.... but mark my words. I've gotten sick on this food 3 times in the last year. Not sure if they're getting lazy from covid... or if their food is just that bad. Their night manager Kevin.. he is the absolute worst. Wait times of 45 minutes for a cheeseburger that ends up getting me sick afterwards... no thanks YAK in the box...🤮🤮🤮

WORST PLACE. TOLD ME TO LEAVE DRIVE THRU FOR NO REASON. The food is just ok, but check your receipt. I've been here twice now and have been charged more than posted prices both times. The restaurant is also consistently dirty- smelling of rancid mop water with no clean tables.

Ridiculous Place! I ordered some meals at 1:15 and got it at 2:48🙂Because they missed my order until delivery driver arrived there. Also the service is worse, they said one of the meals was sold out without any compensation

Visited this Jack in the Box around 2am. The service was so terrible it was funny. Order was completely wrong and the food tasted terrible. Not sure what goes on here at night but I would try a different place or wait till morning to eat.

Worst service I've ever experienced at any major chain fast food restaurant. They've forgotten items in my order, given incorrect change, forgotten my order, and even though the entire restaurant is 24 hours informed me that the dining room was closed. If the dining room is closed then lock the doors and put a sign on them! Don't leave them both wide open.

Hi I went to this Jack-in-the-Box at 4 o’clock this morning and the whole experience at the drive-through was fun the gentleman at the register was very spirited and I left there feeling good however when I got home I realized that my order was not what I had requested at all missing things and then I went to call the restaurant and nobody answered I wasExtremely irritated and called again this time somebody answered however they just took the phone off of the receiver and set it down I waited I said hello many times and much to my disappointment nobody ever responded after I hung up the phone I called back again and now the phone on their end was off of the receiver so I could no longer get through I don’t understand sometimes what is so hard about doing a job that you has been hired for and areBeing paid to do I don’t live near Jack-in-the-Box now I’m home and I don’t have my meal so I wanted to let the restaurant know but they won’t answer the phone they want to leave it off the hook what do I do now I don’t even have the gas to drive back out there I just don’t understand

I'm sorry but this is hands down the worst jack in the box I've ever been to. Service is too inconsistent; sometimes it's mediocre sometimes it's absolutely terrible. The place could be empty, three people in the kitchen and you'd have to wait at least ten minutes to even be able to order. Workers seem like they don't even want to be there smh

Anastacia was so rude to me. I asked if they had sweet tea, and she said yes, so I ordered it. Then when I got it, it was unsweetened. I asked if I could get pink lemonade instead because I thought the tea was going to be sweet and it’s not. I said I’m sorry about the inconvenience, and she then gave me the silent treatment! She had trouble putting a lid on the drink and THREW it aggressively to the side. Her coworker was even looking at her like she was being rude. Then she handed me the drink, and I said thank you, and she was silent and shut the window on me. It was an awful experience. Nobody should treat people like that, especially a paying customer.

The slowest service I have ever received at any jack in the box. Very dissatisfied with the service. Figure it out!!!!!! No excuse !!!! After a little over an hour in the drive through, the food was cold. Explain that! This place doesn’t deserve any business.

The worst Jack in the country, food never that good. Just ordereD on the app and marked pick up at counter to get to the store and lobby is locked and 10 cars at drive tru. App states store closes at 11pm but store closes at 10pm. Couldn’t wait for all those cars and now out of my money. Nowhere to complain or call🤬🤬

Absolutely. Horrible. So first off, I need to use the restroom but decide that I would take some cash just out of courtesy and start walking in. I get to the door and it’s locked. So I think to myself, maybe it’s the other door? Wrong. The other door is barricaded with chairs. I look inside and see a worker eating salad and all the others huddled around each other in the kitchen. I knock on the door, and the one eating salad notices me but chooses to ignore me. I go back to my car and see the drive thru backed up and cars honking. I can only assume that they weren’t manning the drive thru. And when I tried contacting EVERY NUMBER LISTED, I got no response from any of them. NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION. NEVER.

Every time I go to this sorry excuse of an establishment they get my order wrong. Today however I was in a hurry and didnt check my order before I left, I ordered an ultimate cheeseburger a 10 piece chicken nugget and a 10 piece mini churro. However they gave me 2 order of nuggets rather than my churros. This is getting to be ridiculous that I have to check my order before I leave every time just because some people dont know how to do a simple job I mean come on I used to work in similar establishments and never messed up an order or had anyome complain about the service. Its not hard to follow a food order ticket.

Me and my girlfriend waited in the drive through for 8 minutes before our order was taken. Maribel who works in the drive through was very unprofessional and repeatedly got our order wrong then we finally get to the window and our order was still wrong. Overall Terrible service and changes should be made

Waited in the drive the drive thru for over 30 minutes on a Saturday night. The worst management/jack in the box/fast food wait I have ever experienced in my life. Please, who ever owns this place, hire someone competent enough to run a fast food joint. This is ridiculous. The manger needs to be fired if people are waiting over 30 minutes for food. It was literally 5 cars, and took 30 minutes.

Bathrooms is extremely dirty. Left the restroom with my hands still full of soap since the water is burning hot. Tried switching faucet left and right and it’s still burning hot. At least leave a sign that says faucet is not working properly. Management needs to fix this.

Unbelievably long wait for 2:30 in the morning! Literally over a half hour! Then I got an added bonus of wrong order! And COLD FOOD! Cold fries! Cold burger! Honestly I had to throw it away! Cold fast food is terrible. Thanks for the unforgettable experience.

The person who started to take our order stopped, and a girl then came on the speaker only to be more confused about our request for the types of dipping sauces they had. She just stopped answering, so we pulled up to the window and asked the guy who acted like he didn't understand us after we asked again. Only to show us a very small plaque just past the window, so we pulled up to read it but found it hard to read. Asked for Ranch, he said ok, but he never put them in our bags. The 2 individuals that helped us left us feeling like they had no clue what they were doing or how to treat their customers!!

I went through the drive thru and was 4th in line and waited 15 minutes. When I pulled up to the window I had to wait until the person manning the station took another order. Once I got the order and was pulling away I tasted a fry and it was cold. It seems that as long as I waited they could have cooked the fries and been hot.

So this jack in the box claims that they’re open 24 hours but the previous 2 times that i have came here it has been closed. I made a mobile order with the app and was told that i had to wait 20 minutes because the staff is on their break??? I’m confused as to why they’re all taking a break at the same time, which closes the restaurant for about an hour at a time. I have never ever seen a fast food restaurant do that. If you’re understaffed at least balance out break times so customers aren’t stuck waiting for an hour or hire more people! There should be a bigger staff! Especially considering it’s located in a college town! Will not be returning again and i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Drive the extra miles and go somewhere else.

Ah ok, round 2 then. The drive through lines are the worst and the wait exceeds 30 minutes at times. The hours are wrong on the app, so you can place a request on the phone to pick up at the counter and you'll show up for them to be locked and a made to wait in the drive thru line for your app order that now sits there getting greasy and soggy since they cant be bothered to update their hours on the app and website. Oh, and if the Jack in the Box PR team is going to respond about covid procedures then how about actually having your employees follow it? The guy at the drive thru has his face mask deadass on his chin while working the drive thru pick up. Im pretty sure that is more dangerous than having your dining room open one more hour.

went through the drive thru around 2 am on august 27 and the employee was very rude. I got a teriyaki bowl with no chicken and she still kept chicken on it, and my friend got a spicy curly fry burger but got a chicken tater melt. very disappointed, will not be going back

One of our burgers was served cold. Now that alone I can forgive, mistakes happen, but when we took it back and asked for it to be heated up, they just gave us a brand new one that was cooked the exact same way. So not only was it cold, it wasn't made-to-order, and it had a whole bunch of extras on it that weren't supposed to be on the sandwich (like lettuce and pickles). Staff was laconic and sulky to boot, not even nice about it. It's like they didn't even try... I don't give many bad reviews but this was one of (if not THE) worst fast food experiences I've had.

I don't recommend this Jack. They have only the drive thru open so, I made a mobile order so when I went to the drive thru , I checked my ordered and they made my order wrong, so I was explaining what happened and they didn't want to fix my order not even with the proof of what I ordered and they make me mad because I was in the drive thru for more than 20 min . wasting gas. Remember the drive thru is only open. and don't forget to check your order before you leave because they always make mistakes and they don't give you anything to recompense your waste of time .Not even an apology.

I normally say this is like any other Jack in the Box however they are not. The service is marginal and it all depends who you get to take your order. I only use the drive-thru as seating is limited inside. Always check your order before you drive away, I have been short changed food multiple times. Update as of 9/1/17 Still get orders wrong. Downgraded to 1 star. Will no longer go this Jack in the Box.

(PLEASE READ) like no really please read the reviews of a restaurant before you eat from it I have major major food poisoning. And it looks like I’m not the first one. (Sharp Stomach Pains) that hurt incredibly bad. (Body is Hot to the TOUCH) the manager told me go to go see a doctor. I will update this review with what ever I came down with but rn, my destination is the toilet trip number 7 since I woke up this morning. I didn’t realize how gritty my chicken was.

This Jack in the Box is the worst Jack in the Box ever!!!! The employees are always confused and never get things right or you have to repeat yourself multiple times for no reason whatsoever. Complete incompetence. If the drive thru and service here moved any slower, you’d be going backwards. This Jack in the Box’s drive thru commits more CO2 into the atmosphere than the entire country of China. Please improve your speed. Get better employees and management quick.

We came in to order a curly fry and was deciding between that and the loaded fries, however the manager who was taking our order was very rude and impatient with us. He was trying to hurry us along and was rudely saying what do you want! I will never come back there again.

Food is usually either burnt or plasticy. Especially their breakfast items. Staff is usually passive aggressive. I'd recommend going anywhere else. I've given them several chances but this jack in the box location is just bad.

First time getting the munchies box and was not as good as the picture. They didn’t give me the correct order and not a lot of curly fries mostly was regular fries but in general was not a lot of fries at all I was shortened on them. I ordered two of these and both orders was wrong. The sandwich was terrible. Hash brown was soggy and so was the chicken not crispy like it showed. Too much mayonnaise so made the whole sandwich taste wrong with a weird taste and croissant was falling apart from all the mayonnaise and soggy chicken and hash brown. It was disgusting. Not worth the $8 plus tax. Should of been $4 for the worth what they gave me. Never going back to this jack in the box again.very disappointing.

I’m not a big fast food eater but a few bites into the breakfast platter made me want to vomit. Eggs had no flavor, limp lukewarm bacon, soggy French toast sticks, and reheated hash browns. Nothing hot and fresh. I get that it’s fast food but that was nasty.
