It was a great experience. The owners are friendly, and the service is fast. The food was good, and it came out in a timely manner. I highly recommend this place. We had empanada and quipes appetizers. I ordered a burger and my friends ordered mofongo. Everyone was happy with the food and service. They have excellent customer service!

Excellent dishes from the Dominican Republic! I ordered the 'mofongo' with meat and it was perfectly seasoned and prepared with care. Delicious! The tropical juices were generously served. We had the 'parchita' (passion fruit) and the tamarind and loved both. We plan to return next week with friends.

This was my first time eating Dominican food and being to a Dominican restaurant. I think she was the owner but she served me and she was amazing. She told me about the Dominican beer they had which was good and she explained the food that I picked. She also told me about other events that they have. You have to go here. I'll be going back.

We drove about 30 minutes to get here and it was worth the drive. This was our second time here & we continue to love it. This time we got sancocho. Last time we got mangu. Both times we got oxtail & churrasco. Everything was really good. My favorite is the oxtail. It’s pretty amazing. The staff/server lady is very nice & friendly. The restaurant is nice & there’s also a patio.

I drive by this place everyday to drop my kid off at school. Plus it being just a Dominican spot, is worth trying! Dominican food is amazingly good and to find a spot like this in my neighborhood in houston reminds me of back home in the bronx or even puerto rico. But the service was amazing and the spot was very cute and nicely decorated. Felt just like a Caribbean owned spot, I loved everything about it. It's small in size but big in flavor in all ways! They food was delicious and lacked nothing was perfect in texture, flavor, and presentation. I cant wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. I had the shrimp in crillo sauce 🔥 with Moro con Guandules rice 🔥. Appetizer was perfect and lots of meat in it! Everything was deliciousssss! WEPAAA MI GENTE! 🇩🇴🇵🇷

Monarca Bar & Grill by Mi Patio is the only spot in Katy serving truly authentic Dominican cuisine. From the warm hospitality from Nicole and Alejandra to the beautifully plated dishes like El Mofongo Samana or a street style Picalonga, everything is made with love and full of flavor. If you’re craving real Dominican food, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

First time having lunch here as they just opened this location. Delicious Dominican food, five minutes away from where I was staying. The fish in coconut milk was amazing, loved the Tostones, and enjoyed the mofongo. Service was friendly and helpful, love the modern decor. I will be coming back next time I'm in the area.

Do you want a taste of Dominican flavor? BEST MOFONGO EVER and I've been to D.R and P.R The crows made me feel like I was back in D.R again. This place has it all from music, cuisine, hookah and local DR beer. On Friday they have Karaoke and happy hour all night on their cocktails. The food is delicious and friendly staff. Looking forward to trying the other plates. Also, the margaritas are strong :-) IG: love_to_exist

The service in this place makes you feel like you are in Dominican Republic the team is super sweet attentive always smiling make you feel at home! The food is off the hook super fresh delicious from the appetizers yuca salami chicharrones tostones Maduros the flavor is authentic!! Main plates are also delicious mofongo hits the spot the Sancocho to die for!! They occasionally have fried whole fish ingredients drooling thinking of the explosions of flavors the shrimp sliders is a must try!!! We enjoyed the live music and patio area as well perfect ambience chill but live! The owners have done an awesome job thank you Domingo & Catherine you guys are awesome bring the authenticity of Dominican Republic to Katy Texas thank you!! Your customer for life

Ok I'm obsessed... The food is incredibly delicious and the food is automatic Dominican food, it even has a terrace, the menu is quite varied, the mojito is out of this world. I loved this place and would go back a thousand times.

The yuca frita and the tostones are perfectly cooked and fresh. The drinks and cocktails are really good and the service is excellent. Congratulations to the owner.

The restaurant itself had a cozy, welcoming vibe, and our waiter was both friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Honestly, I don’t think I could’ve asked for a better dining experience.

The service was really great and they were so accommodating with me being vegan. They did mess up on one dish but remade it quite quickly. The atmosphere was nice, we sat outside and it was a nice evening. Inside felt a little loud with the music but nonetheless nice spot.

However, we decided not to stay because the menu prices were deceiving, as they were higher than listed, and the staff made no attempt to explain that, and the only reason we figured it out was by looking at the digital tab to make a selection. Some of the prices were as high as an additional $5. Maybe I will give it another try once they correct the menu prices.

I was extremely disappointed as I haven’t found a Dominican restaurant I love since moving from NYC 4 yrs ago and I thought I found it but clearly I did not. I can’t come back knowing that I’m not actually getting what I’m lead to believe that I’m paying for. I have NO PROBLEM paying any amount for great food, which is why I didn’t say a word when she told me it was $70 but I was upset when I got home and the food was not up to par.
