Castillo Biejo Granada Reviews
Gran servicio
Really tasty falafel for a good price. They didnt have someone standing outside trying to pull you in like some of the other restaurants because they didnt need to, they were busy and the food and tea speaks for itself.
What a find in Granada! After a lot of tapas, we were craving some rice, bread and chicken. We had some yummy hummus, salad and chicken shawarma and some very refreshing mint lemonade. Prices were very reasonable, service was good and decor was really colourful and welcoming. We liked it so much we came back the next day as well. They also had an extensive tea menu (as the name suggests) which we didn't get a chance too try.
Came here following a recommendation from two friends. Absolutely worth it! Amazing quality and quantity for the price. I shared the two person special with my father and we were happy with everything. My favourites included the main rice dish and falafels. After seeing everyone with tea, I wish I ordered some for myself.
We had Tea in the Teteria Tetuán and it was really lovely. The tea was excellent and the atmosphere is quite unique. The staff is very friendly and helpful. After we left there was a small queue (around 5pm). They have a great variety of tea and deserts. I can definitely recommend coming here for an afternoon tea.
Kasbah had good food! I actually really liked the beef tagine, which tasted quite a bit like the south Asian dish Nihari. Typically though, tagine has more veggies but this one was just the meat. We also had the chicken skewer with chicken samosas. The samosas were definitely a bit dry and the restaurant could provide some chutney or sauce with them to help. We also had the Mutabal as a starter which was also good but again could use some chutney to go along with it. Overall a decent experience in the heart of Granada and we were glad to enjoy some good halal food. The dessert we had was a date pastry which was ok! The Pakistani chai was really good to top it all off. The restaurant can get very busy and some parts of it can get hot even though there are some fans scattered all over. The service was a tad slow too but I think that could be a result of how busy they were.
Made a pit stop here to get some food, and it blew me away! The Moroccan cuisine was markedly different from the Spanish tapas I’ve been eating, and I really loved the flavors that came together in my dish. There was so many different tea options as well, and I really enjoyed the tea I selected.
Nada recomendable.
Food is not good ( we tried three different portions). Its too dry and not tasty, even though the ingredients are great. Tee is good and the atmosphere is fantastic.
Great food but I'm sure you get seated depending on how white you look. Not sure if I was mistaken but all the white European tourists were seated in prime locations. We were placed in a dark corner of the place isolated from all other patrons. It's a shame that this kind of thing still exists, and is a dark spot on a decent restaurant. The chicken crepe and the banana and cream crepe were tasty and fresh. The shisha / hookah was a bit harsh but they gave you some tongs to take some coals off to lighten the power.
The vibe of the place is well made with furniture and small nooks and music that goes really well with the theme of the place. The waiters are nice to talk to but they did not remove the already used sisha (by a previous customer ) container during the whole stay there. We order two pieces of dessert that came Lightning fast but only with a knife so no way to cut them. The fork we had to ask extra. As soon as the brought the dessert we got tempted to try to the food so we ordered some falafel and salad that also came without any cutlery. At this points we just decided to share the cutlery we had on the table already … Now regarding the food. I understand we are in Spain but with the whole effort put in the music, menu and ambience of the place the food was not only far from authentic but really disappointing. Falafel served with mayonnaise ( my Turkish partner got pale from the sight ) and very dry , while the salad drown I repeat drown to the core in oil. Hopefully the photos can illustrate a bit. Last but not least the we order came cold and tasteless. We were very excited to try again some Turkish and Arabic food after some nice trips on the past to Istanbul and while once again we understand this is Spain we definitely expected a bit more from the place.
Malo, caro y prepotentes.
