Willow Wood Market Cafe Graton Reviews
Our Sunday breakfast favorite in the cute town of Graton, California. Great food and a wonderful staff. Eat inside and enjoy the eclectic art or outside in their covered patio. Open for lunch and dinner also.
Good comfort breakfast in the area with prompt service and good hospitality. The California scramble was very freshly prepared with just enough of everything and not too much. The sourdough was crispy and warm and the coffee was robust and flavorful. All local ingredients and fresh. Good place to visit and enjoy. Definitely recommend a stop here from the larger towns and enjoy the views.
Great local spot. We enjoy the friendly staff, great food and casual dining. One of our favorites fir breakfast, lunch & dinner. Love the coffee drinks, egg breakfasts, French toast. Lunches are get for one or to share with friends like salads, soup specials, French dip & sandwiches are terrific. Dinner is great, whether it's chicken pot pie, spaghetti with meatballs or steaks with fixings. Desserts are nice touch to finish a meal. So yummy.
This place is a gem. Went for lunch with an old friend. My first time going here. Friendly service. Good looking menu I had a Grilled Salmon sandwich on sourdough, it was excellent. She had the market plate which has a good selection of stuff on it, she enjoyed it. It's got a little hoke in the wall vibe but spacious inside with a back patio also Loved it, will definitely be going back
This place slam dunked for breakfast! Eggs Florentine was the best I’ve had - hollandaise is lemony heaven. Pro tip: get a side of roasted tomatoes with it. French toast was fire in the hole as well. Kind personable service. Fun and cute discovery!! Will def bring guests here
One of my favorite spots ever. Right in the heart of the small town of Graton where I grew up in since 1978. My family and I have been eating here for over a decade. The food is consistently very good. Willow wood is what adds to the magic of our town’s charm. Love the Farmer’s Scrambled Eggs and love love the Polenta. Also, the Creme Brulee is amazing, along with every desert I’ve had on the menu. Nice people. Cozy sweet atmosphere. Cute backyard area if you want to eat outside as well. ☺️ (Edit: This is now a really nice enclosed patio area)
Excellent food, excellent service and great atmosphere. Interesting and lovely menu selections, had the hot muffalleta and loved it, the large black bean soup looked like a baristas invention and the toast that came with anothers polenta dish had cambozola on it! Check it out next time you come thru you won't be sorry.
Great latte! I had the challah French toast which comes with vanilla ice cream butter and real maple syrup. So good and enough to have leftovers. Hubby had baked eggs with black forest ham. Food was great, good service and charming off beat vibe with an eclectic mix of people enjoying a convivial mood.
Loved it ! Everything was great.. service was perfect. We were there celebrating a milestone birthday and brought some champagne in to enjoy. They opened it for us and provided the champagne flutes. They also gave us a birthday dessert. The food was delicious- I had the market polenta plate which I will definitely be getting again. Some of our group also had lasagna which I heard was the best ever . Make sure you save room for dessert because you do not want to miss out on the lemon pannacotta with raspberry sauce (to die for) or the carrot cake ... another table fave is rhe affogatto. I will be recommending Willow Wood to anyone who wants a great place.
We stopped in for a pre wine tasting lunch and it was great. I have been wanting to stops in here and this seemed like a perfect time. We came right at the transition from breakfast to lunch so it took a bit longer than I imagined for service, but it made sense! We really loved all the food we got and I definitely would like to try more things on the menu. Chicken pot pie was a hit! As we’re the salads, I think the flavor of the actual polenta was a little bland, for my liking, but I think the toppings made up for it a bit. Will definitely be coming back.
So cute and friendly staff. We had our pups so sat in the "greenhouse". They brought our pups water which was so nice. Breakfast was delicious and we can't wait to go back. I had the black forest scrambled eggs with a cappuccino and the hubs had his usual bacon, eggs, potatoes, english muffin served with raspberry preserves and fresh salsa for the eggs. Everything was perfect and so delicious.
Delightful location with dog friendly patio. We went for the polenta and we’re not disappointed. The staff was attentive and friendly - excellent service. The facility is cute and has history. I had the goat cheese and pesto polenta which I couldn’t get enough of, but ended up taking some home - it was a generous portion. My daughter had the polenta and meatballs and cleaned her plate! We did start with a wedge salad and finished with the fruit crisp. Absolutely will go back!
Food was delicious. I had the egg sandwich. It was very well made, from scratch, on delicious bread. I’m trying to google how to make it myself so I can eat this from the comforts of my own home 😂 My waiter came off as almost lazy and interrupted me twice when I was speaking so I wasn’t a huge fan of him lol. The place was also a bit loud for my taste, but it was clear it was a calm crowd that were repeat customers.
I've been here once before. This place is pretty hit or miss. I didn't enjoy the eggs benedict much when I first visited. Tried something new today with the huevos ranchos which was delicious. I got the latte which was HUGE, literally in a bowl. Yummy with some sugar added, otherwise quite bitter (as lattes are). My friend had the egg spinach dish which he said was pretty bland and the eggs were undercooked. Friendly service, continually refilling our drinks.
Overall a good experience at Willow Wood Market Cafe. We ordered a brunch dish and a lunch dish. Both were beautifully plated. Food came out very quickly from the kitchen. The chicken salad plate is delicious. The Benedict Florentine was good but the cold fruit next to the warm food was not great. Would have preferred a separate fruit dish so it wasn’t warm. Service was good. Atmosphere was busy both inside and out. Definitely on the higher price range for brunch. Will return.
Fantastic fresh local food that's made with honesty and love. Great service in a quaint atmosphere. Be prepared for the prices. 2 eggs and toast (which are exceptional ingredients and done up all different ways) will run about $17+ The food was delicious, just kind of expensive. I'll still go back for the high quality food and to support a local business. One small thing, the crust on the toast was so crunchy I could have used a steak knife to cut through it (and was only provided with a butter knife). This is definitely a knife and fork entree, even though it's "toast"
Bloody Mary and steak dinner. Bloody Mary was okay, definitely fresh but just a little boring. The steak dinner was good, although I thought the rosemary glaze was a bit on the sweet side. The meat and roasted veg/mash were delicious. Service was excellent, and the back patio is beautiful and dog friendly. Finished my meal with a pot of tea, and really enjoyed my time!
Willow Wood Market Cafe offers a charming and inviting atmosphere, making it an enjoyable place to relax and dine. The service was warm and attentive, which added to the overall experience. However, the food and drink offerings were a bit of a mixed bag. I started with a Cafe Mocha, and while it was decent, it came served in a bowl rather than a cup, which was somewhat off-putting. For the premium price, I expected a more refined presentation and richer flavor to match. Unfortunately, it fell short on both fronts. For my meal, I had the Benedict Florentine. It was well-executed and enjoyable, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression. In contrast, my wife’s Chicken Salad was a highlight. After sampling it, I can confidently say it was much better than the Florentine — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It was easily the standout dish of our visit. Overall, Willow Wood Market Cafe shines with its delightful ambiance and friendly service, but the inconsistency in the food and drink leaves room for improvement. That said, the Chicken Salad is a must-try if you’re planning to visit!
