Hands down my favorite restaurant on the west side. Food is incredible, service is wonderful and so friendly and the ambiance is the best.
My mom and I came here around 12:30 for lunch on Good Friday. As I expected, the place was packed! Awesome space - booths and bar seating available. We had to wait about 10 minutes or so for a table. We ordered at the counter and the food arrived maybe 10 minutes after ordering/sitting down. The sandwich was flavorful, with crispy chicken cutlet and an awesome cacio e pepe aioli (we got the "Eh! Paisano!"). The portions are HUGE - half of a sandwich was quite filling for me and my mom! We got the Rainbow Cookie Cake for dessert - delicious with "boozy cherries" on top. My mom thought it was too sweet, but I love all sweets :) 10/10 recommend and we will be back!
Cool atmosphere. Fantastic sandwich s and fries. Eggplant stack was delicious. Sauces were so good. Need to go back and try the pizza 😊
We really enjoyed the sandwiches and fries, the ingredients were so fresh tasting and the flavor combinations so interesting and delicious. I can't wait to come back to try more! They were quite busy when we went, which was expected, on a Wednesday evening so it was loud and the background music was loud. I would like to try the outdoor seating in the warmer months. The service was decent. The decor is so fun.
I ordered catering for a small work event for 10 ppl. The food was delicious, especially the fried ravioli and arancini!! The half pan portions were sufficient. We even had leftovers. Guests even loved the rolls, too! Thank you Alicia for your great service and attention to detail.
Came and sat with Alicia to preorder food for my office. Made a catering order for 100 people. Scott and the kitchen crew did an amazing job. The food came out amazing and really reasonably priced. Chicken Parm and Chicken French were still together and did not separate so that was really good because the portion I ordered. Pasta was perfectly cooked and well flavored on the sauce. I also had the Italian wedding soup that day and it was amazing. I go there for the lunch and dinner and they always go above and beyond. Jacque and Alyssa is always attentive when I’m there. Just wanna say thank you to the staff for an amazing job and that’s why I keep coming back. Kudos to you guys!
Only ever done take-out but the food is always hot and made fresh. The staff is kind and communicate well about pick-up order times and availability of menu items. TV's inside by the bar area make it a good spot to hang out and chat with friends, but the outdoor and various indoor seating also provide options for larger groups and dine-in experiences.
I usually avoid eating out at Italian restaurants. I grew up with Italian immigrant grandparents, and more often than not, I leave disappointed, especially when they don’t even salt the pasta water. That said, I had the Eh Paisano sandwich with cutlet, rapini, sharp provolone, roasted peppers, and cacio e pepe aioli, and it was spot on. This is a true Italian-American classic. Honestly, I’m not sure why the reviews aren’t higher, the menu is the real deal.
Lunch Time! My wife's coworker suggested we check this place out, so off we go! The location is in a plaza and there is a very large sign both at the entrance of the plaza and on the location itself. When you walk in you see a bar area you can sit at and the menu board is on the wall behind it. Here you order at the register by the door at the bar and they give you a number for your table and they bring out your food when it is ready. I suggest looking online at the different menu items because the bar board doesn't explain them. They have menus at the location with the descriptions, but I like getting an idea what I want to eat before I get to a place. The staff at this location are great. They appear happy and are willing to help with anything you need. I ordered the Johnny Boy only to be told that is the only thing on the menu they were out of. You see it has a slow cooked beef on it that takes a long time, and they only make it a few times a week. I was told they would have it tomorrow but I'm here today! I'm kidding, I understand. I then ordered the full size Jerry Callo which is basically a chicken and egg plant cutlet with peppers cheese and capicola and prosciutto. My wife chose the 1/2 sandwich and side special. She got the Italian PTL - which is a grilled chicken breast, prosciutto, and a avocado aioli with fries (the other options are 1/2 salad or soup). We took our seat and waited for our food. The sandwiches are a good size. I didn't need a full. It was very filling. I wish I got the half and just ate a few of my wives fries instead of being bursting full like I am as I type this. I liked it. The chicken cutlet and eggplant were fried perfectly and the rest of the ingredients worked well. My wife enjoyed her sandwich and commented on how the chicken was cooked perfectly. The fries were a very generous portion that would easily be shareable. I would come back again and I will for the Johnny Boy. I will call first to make sure they have it, and I'd likely only get the half. I don't enjoy being too full!
First time checking this restaurant out tonight with 3 other adults and 2 toddlers. Great atmosphere for families. Loved the style of ordering at the counter then going to sit and having our food brought to us. Management came over to see how our food was, everyone was helpful and friendly. Drinks were great, food was AWESOME! Delicious bread... Sandwiches were next level!
Once again, Jay knocks it out of the park with his second restaurant (first being Tony D's). Ordered greens and beans and the Paisano sandwich To-go, absolutely fantastic. Service was wonderful and friendly and the atmosphere, although we were only in briefly, is fantastic. This business alone should reinvigorate which was once an empty shopping plaza. Can't wait to return and support a great local business and hospitable owner
Decor is on point. Service is counter order then sit with a number. Food was good, but didn’t blow me away. What got me though is the hidden charges. Charged $15 for sandwich that was supposed to be $13 on the menu. Some kind of $2 up charge because we shared it? Also, there is another up charge (3.5%) if you pay by card and not cash. Just seemed very penny pinching and cheapskate to me. Maybe they are struggling to pay their bills? I’m not sure what that’s about. Not a good look to an otherwise pleasant experience
I cannot speak to the atmosphere or service as this was an online order but as far as quality/portion I’m flabbergasted. This is the smallest wedge salad I have ever seen. It is about an inch thick slice of iceberg lettuce for $16. I understand times are tough & things are expensive but this salad is cheap to make. This is robbery.
It won't let me do halves so 4 it is instead of 3.5 stars. The atmosphere itself and the way you order is strange. They try for a more upscale feel but I can't help but compare it to Tom Wahls as you order before sitting. Decor fits the style. The mozzarella sticks were tasty HOWEVER $15 is quite outrageous for 2 of them. The pizzas were great size and good but the crust lacked some seasoning to give taste to the final few bites of each piece. Overall $70 for 2 people doesn't fit the food or the location. Wouldn't go out of my way to try again but for locals it's a change of pace. EDIT: The food has diminished in quality unfortunately, the pizza was a bit over done, sauces are different yet prices are same if not a bit higher. The change was not for the better sadly.
Food is delicious. I love the mozzarella sticks and meatballs. 2 years later update: Saturday Eve and it wasn’t busy. Drinks and meatballs on point. I didn’t recognize any of the employees. We ordered the special, chicken French for $24 and sauce and breading were amazing but chicken was tough. I’m assuming overcooked or prepared in advance. I asked if we could exchange it for the mozzarella sticks which have always been a winner. They came out overcooked and without presto. Very inconsistent from what I’ve had in the past. Didn’t want to mention at that point. Used to be my go to restaurant.
I called and ordered take out an hour before close. The person taking my order was great and when I walked in, the atmosphere felt very welcoming. The food however was subpar. I ate half before posting the picture but the cutlet was a bit overcooked and dry. The prosciutto was nice and crispy but the sandwich was just very dry. The breading on the cutlet didn't have much flavor and the bread was pretty hard. Overall, I don't think it was worth the money and I could make it better at home.
I ordered 2 hours ahead and my food still wasnt ready , had to wait another 15 mins. And the pizza was cold and the chicken fir the salad was ice cold . I gave them a second chance . The last time i had a ball of hair and no apology for it . We are done ✅
Not sure what happened but this place used to be great. Subs were always fantastic. Lately the bread is different and not as good. Tried the pizza today and was disappointed. Dough is pre cooked and pizza was barely warm. Cheese was half melted and most was cold. Hopefully they can get back to how it started years ago.
I got a hair in my soup!! The "Italian Mac & Cheese" was basically just plain mac & cheese and was ok at best plus it cost $21.00!! It was supposed to have a breadcrumb topping, which didn't exist. Plus is was luke warm at best. Very disappointed to say the least. Will not go back.
Made the trip over high ratings on here. Very disappointed made order at counter seamed like a dive bar atmosphere with the regs bellied up to the bar. Went to sit down not a clean table to be found. It was rough to say the least. Food was decent but…..
I ordered the baked ziti and it was bad! It tasted like metal. It came in a very small aluminum loaf pan which is clearly very cheap aluminum. I was there with 4 other friends and had them taste my dish. Everyone at the table agreed that it had a "metal" taste to the pasta. Clearly the cheap aluminum was breaking down in the baking process and leaching aluminum into the food. Tomato sauce does breakdown aluminum foil and apparently cheap aluminum baking pans as well. I had heard wonderful things about the food so thought we would try it, sadly it did not live up to what we had heard and read from other reviews.
